I am a 31 year old full time student. I have been steadily employed for the last 12 years, but recently lost my job just around the same time I had to move out of my house and take on a whole lot more in bills. I am looking for work and have just started a part time job, but the hours aren't enough to make the bills. I have to pay to register my car and fix my headlight so I can keep driving my car. I have to pay my rent for June. I have to eat and feed my cat.

I am a hard worker who has just fallen on some hard times. My mom died a few years ago and my dad can't help me out either. I've run out of people I can ask for help. I don't need or want a lot of money, just enough to keep me going until I can get back into working full time.

I could use about $1000 to get myself on steady ground. I realize that might be a lot to some, and maybe nothing to others, but to me it means everything right now. I promise to donate $1000 back to charity after within a year after I graduate in January if I can get some help now. I hope you can help. Thank you!

I am a hard worker! I had a child young and my parents were ot very suportive. I have struggled ever since. I graduated from cosmetology 2 days before I had my son. I worked at supercuts which pays hourly. it wasn't enough so I tried to work on commision doing hair I am now bringing in even less. the salon is slower than I thought. I am so scared right now... I don't know how i will pay my bills. I have been going to school as well part time. I feel like this is never ending. I just want a good job that pays the bills. I need money for Rehab. I really want to go to a good rehab, but I don't have the money for it. I have gone to two separate ones in the past, but couldn't afford to stay longer than two months. Just two weeks ago we got the word from the Feds that my daughter would have to begin paying off her education debt to the tune of $1,533.00 per month. This is to bring down a total debt amount of $200,000 + dollars.

Yes, that's $200,000 dollars!! What??? While they are working to determine if this is actually the amount owed, she still has to pay this money back starting on May 28, 2012.

Unfortunately, she is not a doctor, attorney, or any other vocation that allows her to have this kind of money to pay this humongous bill. She is a social worker who makes about $33,000 per year. Although she could seek to get another part-time job her current job does not allow her to do that. Her working hours are 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. many nights (with no overtime - that sucks!!). Last night she did not get home until midnight only to have to be back at work at 8:00 a.m. this morning.

I so want to help her but I am unable to do so at this time because I am retired and am receiving a very small fixed income. I am looking for work myself so that I can help out. In the meantime however, the first payment is due May 28 and I'm (we're) desperate to get some help.

So please, whatever you can share to help her in this dire need would be most appreciated. And, if there is someone who could pay one or two months forward on this, we would surely be forever grateful and thankful for your generous gift.

I will be adding my two cents worth just as soon as I get a job. In the meantime though, whatever you can send to help her pay this bill on Monday, May 28 would help to take some of the pressure off.

You see, if that money is not in the bank by then, they will garnish her next check which means that she won't be able to keep her place to live and her car to get to work. No car - no work. She lives in a rural area and has to drive to get to work. There is no public transportation available and the beat goes on. If she has No place to live - she then becomes a social worker in need of services herself. That would be messy and wouldn't allow her to keep her job. So whatever financial help you can provide will be very much appreciated.

Hello, I am a student wanting to accomplish my dream by obtaining my degree in biology. I have been in school thus far for three years and have one more to go. However, I can't afford to go anymore. I recently lost my job, have no finacial aid coming in, and my parents basicaly told me I'm on my own. I don't have bad parents they just can't afford it. I have been stuggling for some time now and I came across this site. I'm not a lazy person looking to get by on others I am a hard worker and am looking for another job. I just have been having the worse of luck and cant afford to apply for a loan. I am looking for help. Please if you can just donate. Our problems began in 2010. My husband was injured on the job that he was doing although he has severe health issues. After getting injured he was later fired. At this time he is pursuing disability and we have workers comp suit in place. In the mean time we are currently living day by day. I work part time and have been trying so hard to get a full time position. My daughter in a freshman in college and my son a freshman in high school. My daughter made an adult decision and got pregnant. She is an awesome girl and abortion isn't an option for her. We are doing everything we can to add room to our home. We had an unfinished bonus room that we would like to complete for the baby since her room is only a 10 by 10. We are very simple people with a real need. We just want to get caught up or ahead somewhat on our bills. What makes this different is we would like to pay it back to anyone who is willing to give us a break. The disability takes time as does the workers comp suit. We are hard working people who only want what is best for our family. We are looking at around 3 to $5,000. As I said If the lender is someone local I can work for it also. I can clean or cook. We will take anything that is offered. We just need a little help. Thanks so much for reading.

As a family of six, It's my husband, myself, and our four kids. We are literally drowning from not having any money. My husband is the only one that works and he works Full-time. He is a hard worker and even works Overtime to have enough to support his family. I see the hurt in his eyes everytime he sees his family struggle and not have. My fiancé and I both got laid off the same week. We are both very hard workers. We were living off very little, but managed to save some money. After a month worth of bills, it's almost gone. We have been searching day and night for jobs and applying everywhere. Nobody is calling us back. We have enough money for utilities, but won't be able to make rent which is due in two weeks. We just got a new little car 2 months ago since our old one broke thinking we were going to be stable enough. We don't have money for that $400 payment either. Our wedding was supposed to be last week, which we had to cancel due to money issues. We just found out we are expecting. Which is the only positive thing so far, but we are going to need money for it also. We have sold most of our clothes and furniture. Both our families are struggling with money at the time so we are on our own.
If we don't get money soon, we will be car-less and homeless and our credit we worked so hard for will be ruined. Homeless and pregnant. I don't know where to turn. Any thing will be very appreciated, be it money or even just advice. We want to give our baby a good stable life, I'm so scared, please help :(

I am a father of two young boys. we already are living without water and we have no food beyond this week. we walk across street to use restroom at a family members house, this is gracious enough as we have fallen on hard times and so have they. we, together, try our best to help each other but i have been without meaningful work since being laid off from a steel mill. i was a hard worker and went in sick or well to make sure my family had their needs met, when i lost my job it was devastating. i am 26 no degrees, some college level courses completed and have had only two jobs since i was 18. i have little to no work experience outside of the heavy industries which have fallen off sue to the slow economy. this makes me under qualified for most good paying jobs as i cannot work for min. wage and support my children along with my home. this has destroyed my six year marriage and left me penniless and sometimes homeless as my ex wife retains the home. she works near full time but only makes 9 dollars and hour driving bus for osu, not enough income to cover all the expenses without my help. i have moved back home to try to make amends to find that within 10 days we are to be removed from the house if i do not have $1,500.00 for non-payment of the mortgage. please if someone can help us as i am desperately looking for gainful employment, i want to work and am a good hearted christian man. if only a few kinds words to sway an employer to give me a chance, anything would be appreciated.

I am trying so hard to pay back my debt, but every time I feel like I am getting anywhere, something else happens to me putting me right back to where I started! I was left with funeral costs of a loved one, as well as my remaining debt of bills, school and credit cards. I am in desperate need of a car for work, since everything I make goes towards cab fair. I am a young mother of 2 small children ages 3 and 4... I am currently trying to make ends meet with my bills but my job has just cut me back on my hours... I am getting in deep with my utilities and trying to make ends meet for the needs of my children, but with just a very small paycheck I can not do it all. My husband was recently in an automobile accident with an 18 wheeler and I am currently taking care of him as well as our children.. but we can barely afford to get by.. If I don`t get some help with some money for food , bills and just daily living to help me get back up on my feet I`m so scared for my family and I & everything I fought for for years will be for nothing . I am down to some days choosing breakfast lunch or dinner or a roll of toilet paper or gas in my car to get my children to school and am I going to have enough to get them back home . Things have got that bad . Look , I have tried my very best all I have ever wanted was a home . I and had my first child at 16 . I am still married to the same man today. We went on to have 4 children . My last two are still at home they both were born with disability`s . We always loved them and taken care of them . My husband always worked was a great worker and provider until 12 years ago when he was in a near fatal wreck and ran off a mountain in Georgia . He tried to go back but , couldn`t After years of many , many hospital stays and therapy 7 years ago he was well enough to stay with the 2 children for me to go to work full time only 3 years ago Surprise . I had to have emergency open heart surgery with another surgery 1 month later then a lung collapse soon after that . I did go back to work but , everything went down hill after that . I kept fighting and struggling until I had to give up in Jan 2012 . I `m waiting to see if I can get approved for my long term disability that I have paid in these 7 years but they say it may be July IF they carry me . So right now I`m in dire straights . I have done all this on my own . I DON`T KNOW THAT THINGS CAN GET WORSE . But , I never know anything from day to day . I never in a million years thought I would have to ask anyone for help much less online . I`m a private person and I feel embarrassed to have to do this but , a lot of times in your life you have to humble yourself . I thought about it and I saw and read about George Zimmerman we all know who that is he gets to kill someone a kid shoot them in the back not get arrested then set up a sight and get over 200,000 and when they do arrest him claim he has zero money . You know something is wrong with this picture . The parents of the child should get that but , that's not my call. because I need to understand just like me people did open their hearts and even thought people like him needed help .I`m not the one to judge . I just need to get out of a hole . I just need some compassion . I need to be able to get ahead and really be able to go and buy shampoo , soap , soap powders , food , gas , and pay some bills and get what is necessary to be able to continue to live a regular just a simple life and my children or husband won`t have to suffer or worry until I can get my long term disability started .

I am currently struggling financially with completing my Social Work Masters at university, due to a lack of funding due to government cuts.

I am unable to continue to work part time on evenings as I am now on my own with my 2 children aged 4 and 2 and I have no family local.

I would appreciate some help more than anything. I believe I would make a fantastic Social Worker and a good career would provide my children with a much better life.

I'm from Mississippi, went to Oklahoma last year to see my mum, sistera, uncle.. started helping out an old friend/employer & one evening while fixing the boss' dad's computer for free, met a girl, love at first sight. Then, my parents got me to come back to MS to try out a job. I got the job, very enjoyable, $10/hr, but couldn't forget the girl, she was going crazy thinking I was ignoring her online, I was working & didn't check my messages frequently enough. So I missed her, she missed me.. I came back to OK the day after my birthday & we started our relationship. Everything was perfect. Then, she started losing it, getting stressed for no apparent reason. It turned out the boss had been feeding her meth.(this was oklahoma, after all) so we move out to be happy together, all december we just spent the money I had accumulated working in MS, then stayed in bed together until about New Years, when the boss came around.. we went to casino with her and started working for the ol' boss again, because my job search attempts during December had been fruitless without a vehicle or $ for transportation. So, living with the boss again, problems/drama came back around, my girlfriend would occasionally disappear for 3 days with no communication. I would worry about her, couldn't sleep, worrying/wondering.. we took off to Kansas to get away from the meth-heads. left everything behind, just took a few clothes & ewch other. Everything was perfect.. then my girlfriends aunt started feeding her lies and meth. Effin' meth. girls really get hooked on the stuff. so my first Valentines day was ruined because my girlfriends aunt fed her drugs and lies (i must be a cop because i wont smoke meth with them) and made her think she hates me. She also broke my phone in half and physically assaulted me, but I don't hit females, no matter how obnoxious.. I went back to Oklahoma to work with the boss. this was okay for awhile, but being depressed and lonely, having nothing else to livs for, i stuck with it, no matter how stressful. I was working(for weak pay, but i had free use of vehicles and a place to stay, this was Meth City, Oklahoma, after all - I was the only licensed, insured driver & trustworthy worker they had. I was hoping to accumulate enough funds to take a trip to KS and rescue her from corruption, or at least get her an android to keep in touch, but that never happens when the boss pays you then borrows it back. eventually, the boss' husband went crazy, thought everybody was supplying his wife drugs, or having sex with her, neither of which was I doing, but he kicked everyone out except his nephew, which turned out to be who the one who had sexted his wife from my phone. They were having a relationship, aunt & nephew, which disgusts me.. Anyway, I w(as kicked out as well, my grandparents wanted me to come to Florida to help, meanwhile, my ex comes back from KS with a boyfriend, i get a greyhound ticket to FL.. then the ex kicks her new bf back to KS, comes over needing a place to sleep & get away from meth. I give her uninterrupted sleep, feed her, etc.. and pretty soon we are together again. Nobody helps me get her a ticket to FL for what happened in KS, and before long, matching tickets are sold out. After a hellish, lonely journey in Greyhound, I end up in what seems like paradise, lonely, depressed. My girlfriend wants to get out of Meth City, and I've been trying to make the money with no luck. its been about a week now. My GF texted me how she is heartbroken and wants me to get her out of there. I need to fly her to Jacksonville airport, get her a ride to the nearest airport, and feed her, and I think it can all be accomplished for about $400. I do have intentions of repaying anyone that helps, once I start making money out here. All i need is about $400 to get her out of that drug infested town and out here to the country where she will be away from it all, distracted by lizards, squirrels, bunnies, etc. This girl means the world to me, she's had a rough life, and I want to make her life better like it should be. $400 will get her here to FL with me and I can take over from there, and when I repay, it will be more than was originally contributed, as it should be. this is "begslist" so: Pleeeeeeeease?

Background:

I was born in Argentina, but have lived in Texas since I was 5. I had no say in it; my parents decided that’s what was best for me since Buenos Aires was so crime-ridden. I graduated high school like normal kids, went to a community college right afterwards, and worked part time to cover its costs. I got an Associate’s in Science (Nursing) and then dropped out since I couldn't afford to attend a university nor decide on a major. My GPA was a 3.4 at the time.

I'm now 25, working full time (Geek Squad, can’t do much with an associate’s), studying electrical engineering, married to my high school sweetheart, and have my goals set! I just have one thing holding me back...MONEY. Since I backtracked when I changed majors, I had a few sophomore classes to take. I'm finishing them at the same community college, and I'm registered for the Fall semester at the University of Texas at Dallas (Junior level courses). I have gotten nothing but As since I've been back!



Why I Need Your Help:

Now, you may be wondering, why can't I use FAFSA? Well, I recently obtained my permanent residence. That was a big roadblock growing up. One of the agreements I had with our nation was that I would not use federal funds (welfare, food stamps, grants, FAFSA, etc) for the next 10 years. I work full time and attend as many classes as I can per semester; I have no time for lollygagging.

Sallie Mae can only loan me so much, and banks nowadays make it very difficult to borrow from for school. All the scholarships I’ve looked for require either citizenship or full time enrollment, neither of which I am. (Can’t enroll full time because I need to work full-time to make ends meet) My father is a construction worker and I don’t know my mom, she left us when I was 7. I just sold my laptop on eBay and made myself a cheap one from recycled parts. I've tried getting internships, but I'm not deep enough into my career to be eligible yet. Nearby family members don’t have any spare cash, and don’t make enough to co-sign a loan for me….So I’m here, hoping some kind strangers can help me out.

I am a hard working student, good Samaritan, bilingual, a jokester, drug-free, do calculus in my head, pay taxes, 740 credit score, and drive a broken down Pontiac. Hi there - I am 51 and my partner is 57. We have worked all our lives but lost everything, all our savings, in a small business venture 8 years ago. We both work full time and have moved to a remote part of Australia where housing is cheaper as the housing market in Australia is one of the most expensive in the world and we would like to own one before it is too late. Time is fast running out for that to ever happen, due to our ages and income levels. I am terrified of winding up in the public housing system in 8 years, living on the Government pension of approx $585 per fortnight for the both of us. We are also in debt for $22,000 and we faithfully make these repayments each month. We just need a break to buy our own, simple & cheap house, we are both hard workers but our situation long term is bleak. I am so tired of struggling and never getting anywhere and time is so quickly passing by. Any help will be greatfully appreciated. No scammers etc please.

I am a very hard worker. I have two jobs and completly support myself. As a 19 year old, I obviously want to go to college. I am enrolled to start in June, but I have no extra money saved up. I did have a college fund, but over the years I have used it to help pay for things like a year abroad in another country to help with my langauge. I was under the impression that this would help me gain scholarships, but in fact, it did not.

My name is Gary Griffin , im a 32
year old man that used to be a very hard worker in the job force, in
2010 I became very ill and had to stop working , i tried to get social
security dissability and have been denied 2 times and now am having to
wait for a hearing infront of a judge, they keep giving me some excuse
that my age and ability to get retrained for other work is the reason
for denile. I have congestive heart failure, enlarged heart, and an
irregular heartbeat requiring a defibulator implant in my chest , and
now have type 2 diabeties on top of that, with my medical problems I
can no longer work, just living around my house seems like a full time
job now. I have exausted all available unemployment insurance. and now
have no way to pay my bills and support my family, bills are piling up
and ill be lucky to pay rent, ( having to borrow from my brother) . I
am lost and dont know what to do , i cant get a job but need money to
live on untill i go to court for ssd. do you have any suggestions I could really use some donations right now! sorry for the sob

I ended up paying all of this again to avoid a lien on the house. 3 months later I find out that he did such a poor job that I had to have the repairs torn out and redone at another additional cost-I pad for the repairs 3 times, just to get the house liveable for my wife and kids.
I feel like a fool, but I have to hope that there are some kind hearted people out there that will help me out.
I am going to pay this forward 110% as soon as I get back on my feet, as I feel that is only the right thing to do.
