Post a Beg Now!

I developed perhaps the ultimate in 'sustainability' based perma culture farming with almost no tilling required here in Oregon. I am not big on all the sustainability jargon but what I have done is created a kind of natural farm factory that I would like to see reproduced on a larger level. It produces high carbohydrate value food with almost no irregation although some was required to get it started and revolves around an ancient plant speices friend of man-kind the Chestnut Tree. Believe it or not chestnut trees can produce upto 2,000 lbs each of nuts a year if spaced at least 40 feet apart. There is a story and a book on how to do what has been discovered here on a small farm at a very much larger and perhaps international basis. The economy and use of the Chestnut is a bit of a harder sell than wheat , rice or corn. It is the lowest fat tree nut in existence. It is also glutten free. The farm still has nuts for sale from last year thanks to their being no organized major distribution network for our product like other basic crops and growing competition (all good for the long run) Money or new land to develop in the Pacfic Northwest is sought after. We have many nuts to plant and many seedlings ready to transplant and we have other types of plants that play a role in the development. Inexpensive cleared land that needs to be replanted in the Northwest is sought after for this purpose. Land that is inexpensive and not suitable for vinyards or other uses other than slow timber growth would be perfect but at an affordible price please if possible. The amazing thing about chestnut trees is their tap roots can allow them to self irregate in places where it seems there is no water to resourse at all at the surface. donations accepted as well as land donations/ participation. Chestnut trees also have value as wood and timber as a hard wood. In some areas once timber is cut down in the Northwest most of the value of the land is gone which would be a perfect time for us to go in and buy iti to reforest it with an eye to new permaculture farming. please help if you can.

Custom Mint Condition Amish Table and Icebox - self storing leaves.

Posted by giverbynatureinurgentneed on 2012-03-07 22:58:48

Amish solid cherry custom dining table with 6 matching chairs and matching reproduction ice box! This was a purchase I made from a local amish furniture store brand new, I am the only owner. I have no children and the table and icebox has been used maybe 10 times total. Both are in mint condition. Solid well made by an amish craftsman it is stunning and my pride and joy. The only thing that I honestly cry about selling, but I am terminal and in debt so there ya go. I paid 7560.00 for the table with self storing leaves (seats 16 total) with 6 chairs and matching ice box custom made pads for every inch of wood 4 years ago. I am asking 3700.00 for all of it. Please call me at 360.474.1337 or by email SSHARRINGTON@frontier.com
You will be amazed by the beauty created by hand a complete joy eating with friends and family! Definatly an antique to pass down to other generations.

One Desperate Mother, Please Help Us!

Posted by shyanne72 on 2012-02-26 14:58:48

I am a single mother of three, and I work full time at a minimum wage paying job. I barely make enough to pay the bills, and buy food. Since I haven't been able to pay my bills on time my credit is awful. My roof has been leaking in several different areas, for two years now. The wood is rotten and needs to be replaced. The squirrels have found a hole in the eves and they are now living in my ceiling. I am afraid the roof is going to come down on us soon, and I'm scared that someone is going to get hurt. Please help us, my mother and father are deceased and I have no where else to turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in Advance!

Posted by simemsaa on 2012-01-26 19:58:30

I have never done anything like this in my life before but times are hard and if it helps get my daughter her dream i am willing to give it a go. I am a 44 year old single disabled mum of the most beautiful 2 daughters. emma-louise who is 17 and sarah who is 16. I have numerous health problems one being cause by my ex over ten years ago hurting me so bad i ended up in a wheelchair for over a year. I am no longer in a wheelchair but struggle with daily pain. I have many other ailments but this isn't about me. My girls have had a lot to contend with i am ashamed to say i tried to commit suicide a few time over the last 6 years because of numerous problems i stupidly believed that my girls would be better off without me. However we pulled through together they both left school with amazing results 14 and 16 gcse,s respectively. I did my best throughout everything to make sure they did well at school. Then tragedy struck our family. My dad came to stay with me as he had become ill only 2 weeks earlier he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer my girls went to a firework display with there dad i went to take my dad his favorite fish and chips i walked in the room and he had died i stood on the spot for what seemed like an eternity and was saying out loud omg omg omg. My girls new as soon as they walked in the door an were hysterical they loved there granddad an amazing musician. we arranged the funeral his jazz band were to be there me and my eldest brother ken and my dad were called the 3 amigos we were so close but my brother who was only 44 had been ill as well. it was the 5th of november 2007 that my dad died his funeral was to be for the following monday. Then early friday morning the 9th of november my phone rang it was my mum my brother had died in his sleep to say we were devestated is an understatement. we had to cancel my dads funeral and held a joint service for them both. our lives have never been the same. my eldest daughter emma has been offered a place at university but as a single disabled mum there is no way i can pay for her. she really wants to be a fashion designer and has made some amazing items a university has seen her potential but i cannot nearlly afford the fees etc. I would ask for anything at all pennies would even help. Emma has made a amazing dress photos can be sent and some non wearable items which are also amazing that she is prepared to autcion to help. also if anyone would like to read what our local paper reported please go to the following link http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/local/family_struck_by_double_tragedy_1_422364 i know there are many many people in a worse position than us but at the moment i am even struggling to pay our rent and utility bills in fact our rent is due in a week and i dont have it now. please if anyone could help it would be amazing but if not thank you for reading my plea yours sincerely simone wood

A home for the new twins

Posted by tazlikdat on 2011-12-27 20:58:41

My daughter and son in law had one child and had been trying for a second for several years ( 9 to be exact ). Me and her mom paid for fertilization treatments for about 2 1/2 years and had basically given up hope when they went for their anniversary and we watched the grandchild, and you guessed it she got pregnant. That was great news but a few weeks later we found out it was twins. While having a second child was going to be a little tighter on the budget, twins has totally busted it. They don't have the room for 5 people in the house as it is and money got tight real fast due to added hospital bills and doctor co-pays. We have helped as best we can but I am just starting out a business from home with no credit or savings and my wife is a in home care-giver for a charity organization which don't pay much. My son in law works at a wood mill and with the ups and downs in the construction industry he is just getting by. It's a good thing that he at least had the medical but that is going to cost more out of pocket after the twins arrive. What is needed is a bigger and more sound home for them to live in they know someone that is selling a double wide manufactured home in a trailer park. The owner only wants the balance owed which is about $15,000.00.
They tried to get a loan but were turned down and we can't co-sign because we don't have the credit.
We would all appreciate any and all help to get things right for them this coming year. The twins are due by the end of this year (2011). Thanks to all that help !

Family in need.

Posted by ChrisB on 2011-12-14 00:58:22

I have never online begged before and I am trying it out as one of several
last resorts. I am a stay at home father of 4 children. A two year old, 3
year old, 5 year old and 12 year old. My wife works and I have to stay home
because someone needs to watch the kids. (if I worked I would make less then
the amount I would pay out in daycare) I would ask our family but they are
taped out and have already been giving us money for years now.

We make to much money for food stamps so if it was not for the Food Pantry
we would be starving right now. We barley make our bills (rent, phone,
electric, heat, etc.)

I have No idea what we are going to do for Christmas. We dont even have a
tree. And presents for the kids are out of the question.

Winter is starting and our vehicle has a problem with the 4 wheel drive. It
was working all summer but now that we need it for snow and ice the 4 wheel
drive is out.

Its hard to make due with only one vehicle when the kids have to go to
doctors appointments and such. My wife works 1 hour commute away and I have
to drive her with the kids back and forth if there is an appointment. This
spends the whole day and lots of gas just for one appointment.

We have a second vehicle with good 4 wheel drive but the front end needs
work at least $1000.00 in work. Because of this I am house bound with all
the kids most days. Life is starting to drive me crazy without wheels to at
least take the kids some place and have some adult conversation.

I find myself going stir crazy being house bound. Even to go to the food
pantry my wife had to take time off work so we had wheels and then make up
the time later in the week.

We used to live in 600 square feet. Small but cheap to heat. Luckily we are
in a village with a large house now. My mother just put the down payment on
the house and we pay the mortgage. She is now taped out.

The added expense of more room to heat is adding up. Luckily the government
and family has helped with some of the added expense for fuel oil ($3.95 per
gal) and wood ($60 per face cord). But I don't know what we are going to
do to make it through winter with all this snow falling right now.

I feel better just talking about it. Just knowing someone is listing makes
me feel at ease. Thank you for your time and your donations.

Leaky roof

Posted by Tethlis on 2011-11-28 13:58:37

I am trying to get my leaky roof fixed. I work part time for minimum wage. I have been trying to get my employer to put me on full time but they will not. I have looked for a full time job or at least another part time with no luck. The amount of money I make barely pays the bills, after food, mortgage, car loan payments, and utilities; I am usually in the red. My roof leaks to the point that some of my ceiling has rotted and fallen (I have multiple buckets to try and keep the water off the floor). There is extensive water damage and mold (I actually found mushrooms growing out of the floor at the corner of a wall inside my bedroom!). There is a spot in the floor outside the bathroom that is sunken and rotted almost through from water damage from the ceiling. My utility bills are increasing because it is getting colder. I need $6,000 to fix my roof, but any donation would be greatly appreciated. If I can get 1,000 people to donate between $1 and $10 I will be able to get my roof fixed and not have to breath mold anymore (I have asthma also). The mold grows and gives me breathing problems every day and night as it rots the wood in my house, please help if you can. Thanks.

help living off grid and sustainability project

Posted by plautus on 2011-10-22 22:58:26

I'm working on constructing a home using earthbag techniques and I'm short on materials. I need a few hundred dollars for more sandbags, barbed wire as well as chicken wire and concrete to cover the outside of the structure. I'm using recycled doors and windows and lumber for flooring and other structural elements. My goal is to live off the approximately half acre of land I own, including farming wood for heating and cooking as well as food. I also need a new pair of boots, I'm wearing my boots and socks out fast as I'm doing all my digging to fill the bags with a shovel, no power tools or help from other people. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a small array of solar panels for electricity but I have no water storage or collection set up. To set up water storage and collection will take several hundred dollars as well. More solar panels and storage batteries are always desirable. If possible I can submit an Amazon wishlist, as I'd prefer to get assistance in the form of materials and equipment that I need, rather than just money, as I'm trying to get away from the monetary system entirely.

Help Available ===If You Need A Loan Contact Us Today

We do wish to inform you that Tiger Wood Financial Service is now offering loans to people within and out side Africa if you intend to get a low cost loan then you are required to contact tigerwoodfinancialinvestment@yahoo.com
last night while he was in town, he was told his house was on fire, he rushed home hurried to grab the
garden hose to save what he could, only he fell and had to go to the hospital where he fractured
several ribs and tore something in his for arm, which is wrapped and in a sling.
today he can hardly move for the pain.
he lost 4 kittens and the mama cat, every photo he had of his kids and so much more.
unfortunatley he didnt have insurance on the house.

he has a 19 yr old son living with him.

the fire dept probably did as much damage as the fire. they didnt try to seal the section off and work
on it, they soaked everything , every room.. so much that the ceiling fell in.
no one has contacted him most of the day, no one offered to really help these people..

i came home, got on the phone and called the red cross in albemarle nc, the lady said we cant do anything
till we hear from the fire marshall,
so we tried to call the fire marshal.. this was like 2 pm today..(friday) no answer left a message, it is now 11:30 at night.
.still no reply back.
someone did tell us he wouldn't contact them till he finished his investigation, that could be days,
called a church here, they said yes we help but we go through stanly county christian ministries call them.. so i called them
they said well, he needs to bring something showing his house burnt..i said lady its not as if they give to a certificate to hand out
when your house catches on fire.. i can give you the norwood police number, or the fire marshal to verify it..
around 5-6 red cross call's my friend.. tells him they are going to put he and his son up in a hotel in albemarle for the weekend.
. and he never heard back from them.. its now 11: 30 at night. i called the hotel they said red cross did call, but they didn't
send the paper work or call back.
thank god for the one friend he does have who is letting them stay at his house tonight, and giving them a hot shower,
and a place to rest. if left to the red cross i guess they would be sleeping in the yard.

this is crazy.. his house is totaled from one end to the other, nothing is untouched by smut and water,
no power, no clothes..not even a pair of socks.
charities are so eager to take your money, .but it seems to take an act of congress to get help if your the victim,
this is a good guy, he has volunteered his time endless times, days on end at the community table to feed people just
down the road. he'd help anybody he could, and has a wonderful son.

things they could really use,
clothes,
if there is anyone who might work in construction that has left over wood 2x4's, 2x6's
plywood, sheet rock, flooring,
anything it doesn't even matter if its scrap.
if anyone has some gently used furniture, beds, blankets.

I recently saw this posted on some shitty website i dont care to disclose. not because i dont like the website, i just really dont give a fuck.

"Force people to feel your pain, put it on them. Show them how this world can create someone like you. Remind them that the state of the world we are in will continue to bring about people like us, the unloved, un-noticed, under-appreciated."

And it made me think, wow thats a fucking GREAT idea!!, what a wonderful way to make yourself feel better, why did i never think of that before? Well it seems like everybody else is doing it so why not? the worlds already fucked up so lets just add to all the bullshit and drama of life and see just how bad we can make it for others, after all wont we then realize just how good we've got it? even when you think you have nothing at all, if you think about children that are kidnapped, taken to a place their not familiar with, repeatedly raped by ass holes who would rather pay somebody to fuck a kid than find a real woman, beaten, held down and forced to develop an awful drug addiction that will keep them in a lifestyle of tragedy for the rest of their lives. Do we really have it bad? I want to kick myself in the ass sometimes for pitying myself and wishing i had it better. but then again is it really so bad to want the finer things in life? i mean it seems hope is what drives most people in life, without it where would we be? if we didnt have any hope at all why get out of bed in the morning? we do it for various reasons but mainly because we hope to achieve some kind of goal whether it be to see whats going on in the world around us, complain about it, to suppress that feeling of hunger, to use the bathroom instead of shitting or pissing on yourself, go to work or whatever. im tired of hearing about people being depressed because there is no hope in their life. the only people that really have no hope at all are already dead. Show yourself no mercy, make life what you want it to be, after all life really is whatever you make it. You can have nothing at all and not have eaten in days and still be a happy fucking go lucky numb skull without a care in the world if you pity not yourself but everyone else. I served a few months in jail this past year and found that i was really fucking HAPPY! I know what your thinking, what kind of brain dead fucking idiot could be happy to be in jail? i was not happy to be in jail but happy that i had a roof over my head, a mat to sleep on, a blanket to stay warm, 2 meals a day i mean what else could you ask for? all of your basic needs are met. Do you really deserve to have anything more than anybody else? when there are people out there that die all the time because they CANT get those basic needs fulfilled why in the hell are we driving brand new cars or even cars at all, living in homes made of enough aluminum, brick, wood and other materials to feed someone enough to keep them alive for a good part of their life. Doesnt it seem to you that if people really gave a shit about themselves or anybody else they would be more than grateful to be able to give up material possessions to give someone else a chance to live a life at all? The truth is we are all stuck up pricks that dont give a shit about anything but satisfying our own lust of pleasure. I will say there are a "few" good people out there but if your sitting there reading this on a computer and you think youve got it bad, your a stuck up peice of shit too. After all you can afford to spend money on electricity but you cant afford to feed someone, even if you do donate to charities are you really doing enough? No because your still on the computer wasting money that you could be using to feed a kid somewhere out there that otherwise will starve to death. Thats just the way it is and we've been doing it our whole lives. If you dont like the thought of being a selfish peice of shit, youve got 2 choices. Either get over it and accept the fact that your just as bad as the shit heads that flew their planes into the twin towers and killed all those people, or give up everything you have and help somebody out, stop wanting, start giving. Which will you do? If you want to change your ways you can start by donating a few dollars to help keep food in my stomach and a warm place to sleep. We'll see just how many "good" people are out there, i doubt many of you are. - Gabriel Turner You can email me at damaster406@gmail.com or send money to that email address using paypal at http://www.paypal.com
It all started 5 years ago on June 17, 2006. . .a day I will remember for the rest of my life. It was the day before Fathers Day and we were driving with our 14 month old son to his grandmothers house when and SUV ran a stop sign slamming into us causing our vehicle to roll landing upside down. They say my fiance (my sons father) was partially ejected and killed instantly.

He didn't have life insurance, and since we were only engaged, there were no survivors benefits and so it was just me, my 14 month old, two dogs, and an old house built in 1927 and a laundry list of repairs that needed to be done.

After my fiance died, I think a part of me just shut down. There was so much to deal with. . .working full time, being a single parent with no support. All my family lives 6 hours away, and my fiances family never wanted anything to do with us and after the accident all communication stopped and I was alone.

So, I shut the doors to the upstairs of our two bedroom Cape Cod, and made my bed on the Living Room couch so that I could rock my son in his bouncy chair everytime he woke at night. . .on average 4 times a night.

I did the best I could over the years. During all this my Dad was a huge emotional support for me. We talked every day, he encouraged me to stay strong and I did the same for him (he was diagnosed with milodisplastic syndrome in 2005)his blood transfusions really took a toll on him and his physical weakness really depressed him. I know he worried about me alot because I would always call him for advise on how to fix things or ask him questions about car stuff. He was my rock and he died October 4, 2008 from complications with pneumonia. He was buried on his birthday October 8 when he would have been 56.

His death is still hard to handle. My rock my best friend and advisor was gone and now I realized I was truly alone. Not only did I not have anyone to help me with my son, or with the house or the car, but now I didn't have anyone I could really talk to that could just listen and be my guide.

All this happened so suddenly. My now 3 year old son and I stayed up North for a week after my Fathers death. There was a lot of planning and funeral arrangements to be made that during the midst of all this, 6 hours away in my little Cape Cod were the two dogs. . .Joe, a shepard and chow mix, and Rex, a shepard and Rotti mix left to their own devices. All I could do was pray that the damage wouldn't be too terrible.

I tried calling a neighbor to check on the dogs, but in our unexplained absence the dogs became extremely protective of the house and wouldn't let anyone it.

When we finally came home, there was definately a mess. I had to rip up all the carpet by myself the stench was horrible and the dust and dirt under the padding from 10 year old carpet caused more than one sinus infection. After a month I had all the carpet ripped up and have not been able to replace it.

After working and saving and with help from my Mom, in 2009 I was able to hire a Contractor that had been highly recommended to me by a friend of mine. He raved about how great they were and what a good job they did for him. We had a contract for about $19,000. This was to replace all the windows, replace the kitchen cabinets, new countertop, appliances, paint, everything the house needed after being neglected for over 10 years. So they came and painted and left. Six months later they came back with 5 of the 13 windows, installed the windows, but left the casements on the inside open and torn leaving exposed the Lead Paint and the original wood framing. Then in August 2009, they had the kitchen cabinets delivered to my house and they were stored outside on the porch. I called and called to find out when they would be put in, and no response. They stayed outside through the Fall and through the winter when we got three feet of snow and I called and begged and sent text messages and one day their phone number was disconnected. Then in June 2010 they called me!! They would come install the cabinets. So they came and tore out the stove and the kitchen sink and installed the cabinets and put a slab on granite down so I could have a work area and said they would be back with the stove and dishwasher and sink. They never came back. So I had kitchen cabinets and no stove, no sink, no dishwasher. Then in July, Rex, the Rotti Shepard mix got really sick. The vet said he was starting kidney failure. They kept him and did IV treatment and got his kidneys functioning and they said he need a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. I had no stove. I tried calling the contractors I yelled, I begged, I sent text messages and finally out of desparation I went and bought the cheapest stove I could just to be able to boil water for my dog.

The dog survived, but his survival was short lived. In October 2010 on the anniversary of my Fathers death, I had to put the dog to sleep. He was suffering from the samething my father had. He couldn't produce red blood cells anymore and would have to live off of blood transfusions. One of the hardest choices I've ever made.

Now here we are in 2011. Memorial Day I almost lost my now 6 year old son in a near drowning incident at a friends pool. Thank God the husband knew CPR and was able to revive him. He stayed overnight in ICU for monitoring but he is now a happy healthy 1st grader.

Me. . .I'm barely keeping it together. I can't afford to take care of my home. The carpet was never replaced and there is a horrible draft in the Winter and the Lead Paint is still exposed. The upstairs windows are leaking and there are water spots on the ceiling. There is a 4" crack in the basement foundation wall that goes all the way down the wall and across the basement floor to the other side of the house. I was told that the footing is slipping and that it was only a matter of time before the house caved. The gutters are falling off the house from age and the deck rails are falling off. I fear for our safety, but mostly, I'm afraid for my son. I want to give him a safe and healthy environment, but I need help.

Please, if there is anyone out there that can help us, I would be eternally grateful. In the meantime, I will keep praying and belive that everything happens for a reason.

I'm currently a full time student/stay at home Mom, my husband is a 3 time Iraqi and Afghanistan Veteran who works for the department of Veterans affairs as a nurse. After years of saving and paying our bills on time and doing things "right" we bought our first home. We had three different inspections to make sure that everything was good and safe for our family. A few weeks ago my 9 month old son came down with a 103 fever a rash covering his body and an upper respiratory infection that wouldn't seem to get better. After some research I got the idea to search for mold in our house, and sure enough, I discovered that my whole basement was hiding black mold behind the wood paneling. My husband is a very handy, and we decided to take care of it ourselves. We bought the Hazmat suits and masks and bought the solution for washing the walls etc..etc.. So, long story short, when we went to clear out the closet we uncovered an unopened box of Asbestos Tile!! We opened it only to discover that it was covering the entire basement floor and enclosed back porch of our house. Needless to say, we soon realized this is out of our hands and we need to hire a professional. All of our efforts to come up with the money for this project have been dead ends, and in the meantime we can't even live in our house. We are all living in one bedroom at my Mother in Laws house, basically indefinitely until this is remediated. This is my last chance to come up with the money to make our house safe for my children. Please help us if you can.

Help to rebuild the home and pay off home

Posted by cameron77591 on 2011-05-09 21:58:53

My family has been living in the this home for 6 years. We have many issues wrong with the home. We owe $3400 left on the home. The home was never taken care of by the owner we are renting to own from. They have caused so many problems. All I want is the home to be paid off and have it fixed to code. Hubby works, but I am unable do to health reasons. We have 2 children and the house falling apart. We are living pay check to pay check. No money to do what is needed to be done. We have termits, rotten wood, foundation issues and electrical needs to be redone. I don't like begging people to help, but this is the only way to get help. Even if its just a $1 donation, we beable to save it till we get enough to do a project. Every little bit adds up over time. Thank you
I have just come across this website and can hardly believe I am filling out this form. My husband and I have worked hard our whole lives yet our current situation is making me frightened for our children. He is in construction and has worked steadily for 15 years yet was injured last year. We just had a baby and my work has been cut due to budget cuts in public schools. We are not receiving unemployment. We have even had to spend the childrens' piggy bank change for groceries. This is the first month the bills are going completey unpaid, including the mortgage and the fridge is empty. My children are not being fed healthy food. My husband, although injured, looks for work daily with no luck and is now working in the back yard building planter boxes for people to plant in this spring. This has kept food in the fridge but he has run out of money for wood and materials. I assure you, this post is very sincere. I have never experienced this type of despair. I can't even buy diapers. If anybody out there is kind enough to help, I can't tell you how grateful we would be. You would be doing the kindest deed which is helping another person in need. I can assure you, when we are back on our feet I will now have an appreciation for this type of hunger and despair and I will in turn, donate to others in need. Thanks so very much.
