Last night, I found out that I may lose a huge chunk of my already very low income. I'm very frightened.

My worst fear on this earth is being homeless. I am already very much physically alone--in the sense of the only daily companionship I have is my three cats.

I am really, really scared. In the last year and a half, I've lost, my educational future, three jobs, my home, my flat...I was just getting back on my feet and now am told I owe a huge sum to the govenment because they made a big foul up on my paperwork.

I so want to be dead, it's not funny. I am NOT committing suicide--but that said, I would give anything to be dead. To me, it would be like winning the lottery. Life is far worse than death, as far as I can see.

I would very literally rather be dead than homeless.

When you're poor, or alone, or mentally ill---people treat you like dirt--like you've no value, whatsoever.

But, when you're homeless--in most American's eyes---you cease to exisit altogether. I would rather be dead. I really would. I'm really, really scared. I could use a hug right now--not a "virtual" hug, but a real one--oh, how I would love to hear the words, "everything will be alright." But it's not, and there's no one there. I'm just so scared and lost and lonely. I wish I were dead.

Unfortunately, the free government health care plan that I'm now under won't help me get maximum optimal vibrant health. On March 27, 2011 (my mom's 73rd Birthday) she suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke (ruptured aneurysm) She had her 1st & 2nd brain surgey within the next few days and she spent 5 weeks in ICU then 6 weeks in Rehab. She made a great recovery.

In Sept 2011 she had another brain surgery to repair a second aneurysm which she also recovered well from. In December of 2011 she suffered another minor stroke.

this time she is not recovering very well. she is having a lot of difficulty walking and climbing the stairs. She is physically capable of taking the stairs, however she is absolutely terrified that she may fall and will not use the stairs.

I'm unable to get her out of the house to go to doctor appointments and to physical therapy. We can't even go out to eat (mom's favorite thing to do) Since she cannot safely climb the stairs anymore we need to build a wheelchair ramp or get a wheelchair stair-trac lift.

With me missing so much work do to moms situation and my own health conditions I've lost my job. Unemployment barely pays my bills and moms social security covers her bills we cannot afford to buy the lumber required to build a ramp.... I have volunteers to build a ramp but no building supplies :( If anyone could help us even with $5.00 it adds up.

I've desperately been searching the globe for any resources whatsoever to help build a ramp for our home. any organizations out there want to put a lien on the home and mom does not want that to happen.

My 9yr old has come home from school with a letter regarding next year's "school journey" to France... at a cost of £360.

I am a single Mum to 2 & try my best to support them with 5 cleaning jobs that can fit around their education, so I can still be there for them. They have no support from their father.

I can't bear the thought of my boy being "the only one" who can't afford to go on his trip - but have no idea how I can get the money together for him to be able to go.

I hate the thought of these sites to be honest, as I do my best for my kids on my own with no help whatsoever (I do not claim benefits) - so this is a real last resort for me.

I really don't know what brought me to this point, I feel like I've done everything I could. People say I'm just being negative. I am about one week from being on the street. I do not have a drug habit, I do not have a problem with saving money or working hard for it. I've never asked anyone for anything I didn't truly need. Never been on welfare.
I was working and got laid off for the fifth time. Then my car broke down and its going to cost almost what it's worth to fix. There is no public transportation whatsoever where I live and both of my parents are deceased. I have no brothers or sisters. The rest of my family and friends are too busy to care. I have been completely on my own since 18. My girlfriend also left me. I have a 5 year old son and I pay child support. I want him to have a stable home and be able to visit his father again. Please help me so I can pay someone to help me continue my job search and support my son and myself.

My roommate and I just relocated to San Marcos, in order to go to school. Our families have both fallen on hard times, and neither of us has been able to find a steady job at more than twelve hours a week, due to our schedules. If we don't get jobs within the next week, we will be forced to drop out and lose our apartment as well. Our kitchen is bare. We've sold everything we could, and neither of us wants to drop out. Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated.
