My daughter had heart surgery last year and I want to treat her to a sport that will teach her competitiveness, help her self esteem, allow her to have fun, and exercise her heart. Her surgery happened while I was in school and was very sick myself with Crohns disease a year ago. We were so bad off, I had to borrow money for gas to get her to the hospital. It was quite a humbling and intensely challenging past 2 years for her and I. Her surgery was successful. I have finished school and will be starting my new Job as an EMT June 11! I am also currently in new recruit training for a volunteer firefighter/ EMT position which will give me valuable experience for a paid position some day. It will also give me the opportunity to serve others. I personally love to help others and have done a LOT in the past when I could. I doubt this will be seen, but, A dad can have his dreams.

I am losing my home and have had my gas cut off. I was too ill to work for over a year. Quite honestly, I am losing it all. We have each other (My daughter and I) and improving health. During the process of losing her home, I want to have her my daughter pre-occupied with good thoughts. I want her to see that life will go on. She loves playing tennis, but I am financially unable at the time to help her pursue the sport. I would like to do it with her to build the father daughter bond and help myself get in shape to volunteer for my fire department.

in a couple of weeks i will be homeless. after becoming unemployed two years ago i was living off money which i had from cashing in my retirement account. after taking a couple of months for leisure ( i hadn't had an actual vacation, aside from a long weekend here or there, for the past 12 years) i was in the beginning phase of starting a small business. then i had a heart attack. i had surgery to place a stent in one of my arteries. it seems that i was born with a twisted artery and had been living with it all my life suffering no ill effects. according to my doctor artery walls are fairly thin and pliable when one is young, but as a person ages the walls thicken and become less pliant. when you combine these two factors with the twist of the artery, the result is a cutoff of the flow of blood to the heart. my doctor said that had i waited another day to come into the hospital, i would have died. while the surgery left me weak, it was the anti-rejection medication that i was on which was the problem. it left me so tired and weak, that after a walk to and from the local bodega just two blocks from my apartment , after i walked in the door i had to lay the bags down and sit and rest for a half hour or more, before i could put groceries away or even thinking about standing up and preparing food. quite a change from when i was biking 5 miles a day/ five days a week and lifting weights several times a week. my bank account was swiftly drained due to the cost of the hospital stay/surgery, and to the cost of medications ($130/month).
once i was off the anti-rejection meds and feeling well enough to work, i began searching for a job seeing as my hope of starting a business drained away with the money in my bank account. but unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, i have been unsuccessful in my search. i am now virtually penniless and am being evicted from my apartment. i am have sold off what few possessions i have in order to have some cash to buy the things i need for living on the streets, but the accumulated amount came to less than $100.

This about sums it up. We did great for years and have been kicked in the face repeatedly by life. I'm about to get it back together with a new job and 50,000 shares of a new tech company about to be publicly traded on pink sheets.

Unfortunately, that's not soon enough for our landlords and we have received a notice to pay or leave in 3 days (Wednesday, May 17 would be the date).

Hi, I'm Brittany, and I'd like to describe an unfortunate event that has recently befallen me.

Four months ago, during the holiday season I received a call from my mom who was facing some rather emotionally tumultuous times. She related to me that she felt like she just could not endure her life any longer and was considering ending it.

I was personally extremely concerned, as I have always highly valued and admired her. At her request, I quickly forsook all my current ambitions to come to her aid. I moved into her apartment with her and tried to soothe her with my company, and also advised her about healthy lifestyle choices that could help balance out her severe depression and alcoholism. I got a job and began helping her pay her bills when her boyfriend showed up. His first words to me were literally "I'm marrying your mother" not long after he began to command my mom to kick me out.

After many attempts to assure them I would surely save money to get my own apartment, I bought a truck to get worked on and began to save money for an apartment. At first I considered moving to stay with other family members, but eventually decided to stay in Sarasota and get my own apartment.

Without giving me any notice to find another place to live, my new "step father" stated that I would no longer be welcome there, although they knew I had no other options or any money to get an apartment.

They then went to a judge and filed a Marchment act to have me involuntarily placed in a detox facility where I was released under forty-eight hours later with negative results for all substances, including alcohol.

Now I am left on the streets with nowhere to go.

What I am asking of anyone who reads this, please assist me with any kind of resources that you know of, such as live-in maid employment, rooms for rent, a place to stay until I save money for an apartment or anything that will help me be independent again.

My daughter was just diagnosed with neuroblastoma. She is 20 months old. I am a single mother of 3 who is in remission from breast cancer a year now. Over the past few years I have grown with the help of some amazing people. Through this period I have accepted gifts that allow me to help others, holistic therapies and sights, including Reiki. I have spent a great deal of time and money building a holistic energy matrix. I have begun to see result with individuals who need the help I provide.
I find myself now struggling with debt. I work a full time job, as well as assisting with a friend's shop, related to my holistic work. Despite this I find myself swimming in debt just getting by. anyone who is an animal lover knows what i am going through. my dog is so much more than a pet, he has seen me thru the worst times. recently blood starting pouring out thru his urinary tract. i scooped him up and rushed him to the vet. several tests later and still inconclusive . tomorrow he is going for an ultrasound. these bills are a true hardship but i will do anything to make him comfortable. i am not asking for myself, times have never been this bad for me (like many)i am on disability and have not been able to pay my mortgage, that is another story, and that is fine. i always say as long as i have a roof over my head and my dog i will be fine (i have no family, my mother died peacefully in this home we shared 2.5yrs ago) any help would be welcome. i will provide vet bills if you like. thank you.
