I'm getting married in October of 2012. This is shortly after my fiance returns home from his thrid tour in Afghanstain. We need help paying with some of the funding. We are very shout on cash being that I have got laid off from my job and im a recent grad so I have loans to pay back. Any financial help will be very appreciated as I try to plan the perfect wedding for my war hero.

Hi everyone. My name is Denise I am 65 years old and a disabled veteran. I am from Springfield, Missouri. I have problems with my knees, legs, back and even though I can not get around easily, I am on a cane. I also suffer from severe depression, migraines and flash backs from war, I am very forgetful among other things. I had to move in with my son and daughter in law because I can not live alone or take care of myself. I have also had a triple bypass and have two brain tumors. What brings me here today is last night my chair broke. When i sit in it i start to sink down in the middle and I can't let my legs up. My son and his wife can not afford to get me a new chair. I have been watching Craigslist for one but I am having no luck at all. Having a comfortable recliner to rest in would mean the world to me. Hallo....if anyone out there would like to help us out during this nightmare we would be greatly thankfull...we are a group of friends who are helping each other out but everyday gets worse and we have no more recourses as we have lost our jobs..
You cannot imagine what this financial war has done to us...some of us are about to have our electricity cut off, due to the tax they have in cooperated in the electricity bill..so if you don't pay the tax they cut you off!!!some have lost their homes and all of us have lost our jobs!!..we are asking for help...so to help whoever we can...any donations will help us out....at this time...thanking you in advance...

My husband recently lost his job, and due to the job market being so poor in our area, neither of us have been able to find work. We have four small children, one of whom has severe developmental disabilities and may require life long care. After these last few months of struggling to make ends meet, we have burnt through all of our savings and are running out of options. We both want desperately to change our situation, for our children's sake, and are determined to go back to school and further our education so that we can give our children the life they deserve. We have set up meetings with an advisor and our working towards enrolling in our local community college, and are both acitively seeking work. We don't have much family close by that is willing to help, and we are coming dangerously close to having our electric shut off if we do not come up with the money soon. We are down to our last dollar and have nowhere else to turn. We have applied for a local assistance program but it can take up to three months before we are approved, so there is no way to get the help we need before it is too late. Please know that we are not just bums. It kills us to even have to ask for help, but we just don't know what else to do. My husband is a partially disabled USMC war veteran and I have been a Stay at home mom for most of my adult life. We are good, honest, hardworking people who are just down on their luck, with four small, beautiful children depending on them. all we need is a little bit of help. We have so many goals for our future, but if we can not pay this electric bill, we will be evicted from our home and wont even have a residence to use to apply for the financial aid we need for college. We really appreciate any and all help, and want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!

i am an ex convict ,that has completely turned my life around and became a good man.i am now 42 spent most of my life in and out .my father is 69 VIETNAM WAR VETERAN ,my father tells me he has one motorcycle trip left in him (because of cancer) ,and if we are going to make that one trip together. i better be ready to ride by early august for atleast a month .i am very frustrated to know that this is the only chance i will have for us to ride together .the amount of hours i am working for ups is barely paying my bills,and to live on.im asking for any assistance that someone could provide to me .when i left PELICAN BAY prison 43 months ago i discovered the real meaning to life ,and all i want is to ride with my father one time .i am doing anything that could possibly help me to reach that goal by august .ONLY IF IT IS LEGAL .

My Fiance is in the infantry for the United States Marine Corps and is over in Afghanistan at the moment. Our wedding is May 5th 2012 and we do not have the money to afford a simple wedding. I have been trying to plan the wedding since he has left for war. I thought it would be a great and fun way to keep busy while he is away but I have found out that I am doing this all on my own. I am negative in my own a count and he is almost down to only $100. I work full time but it is only enough to get by with bills. The wedding is coming up very soon and I have yet to be able to afford his wedding band, the full amount of my dress, decorations, the invatations etc. He deserves an amazing day coming home from this deployment and I dont know how we will pay for this wedding let alone a little vacation/honeymoon together. I am feeling helpless and weddings should be fun and exciting to plan and I dont know what to do. My mother is willing to help with what she can but she has been sick for going on 12 years and has no way of income. Her teeth are rotting and falling out of her mouth because they keep denying her health benefits. She is the only one willing to help us with any dollar she has and she needs it herself. I hate to have to write this but sometimes you have to humble yourself when there is nowhere else to turn...

I have lost my job, and very much in debt. Unable to pay bills and rent. I have no where to turn before asked to leave. I m from somalia war torn country where my family still resides. I was employed before and i was able to support my family, as there no means of work or anything for them. there are now facing hanger and fear of war. Hello, first off I do have a job,thank God. But I have a grown daughter who is a veteran of Afghanistan war,who is married with 2 children and a husband. who is also military and they just dont make enough money. I help them as much as I can, But I also have a mom in a nursing home that I help as much as I can. My money just doesn't go far enough as I also still have 2 grown children at home trying to help them. Jobs are tough to find. I want to bake and sell goodies all year {not just holidays}. I am a 30 year old US Army Vet. I am the mother of three small children - all under 8. I am the wife of an Iraq war vet. I have been given the opportunity to go back to college to complete a degree I started over 9 years ago - all paid for. My husband has graciously chosen to sign over a 6 months of his education benefits to me - all that is needed to complete my degree in health administration. I am in need of $1500.00 to pay back a $2,000.00 debt to the University. I have $500.00 that I have saved. I've like millions of others got caught in the crosshairs of this economic decline. On top of that impact I was left to save my home when wife of 17 years left;within a year i got deathly ill and was at local hospital ICU a month and a rehab Hospital a 2nd month, both in Ga, A spinal infection precipitated 4 minor stokes which in turn cost me my fulltime employment as a college instructor. I had served in Viet Nam and returned injured only to lose benefits due my new found anti-war position.
Like everyone else i finally got SSI and very small disability stipend.
Now each month my country dream home becomes a smaller prison as I struggle against the foreclosure monster. My mortgage equals my SSI so electric bills, medical bills, car insurance. (1985 Nisson) get juggled if im well enough to earn extra.
It's a long story but they all are.
I have a couple of creative projects with potential but my fear and day to day struggle drain me. I ve written most of a unique stage play/rock musical working title "God died in 66". An investment in the work would be considered{was in 1969 Chicago cast of Hair,as well as movies such as LeoFrank on GPS tonite }.

I never thought that our family would be in a financial crisis of this nature. My father, 82 years old, a Christian, Korean War Veteran, retired teacher and one of the most helpful people you would know, has Alzheimer's Disease. He has been bedridden for the past 5 years. My mother, also a retired teacher is doing everything she can to pay all the expenses associated with caring for my father. Over the past 5 years nursing care cost over $250,000 alone! We have used all our saving and sold assets. With all the health insurance my father has, day to day care for an Alzheimer's patient is not covered by medical insurance! A word to all that reads this "Get long-term health coverage"! We are $2000 a month short. Our faith keeps us hopefully that one day things will be much better . I humbly ask for this help because my mother is now starting to become ill from the worry. She is the posterchild for the marriage vow "TILL DEATH DO US PART". I've seen her unwavering faith, strength and hope. I love her and I so wish I could do more to help her financially. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you!

I need whatever assistance anyone can afford. I want to obtain a cheap reliable used car or the down to buy one, so that I can accept job interviews. I also want help with $, so I can obtain a legal document assistant license, in my area. I want a way to make some money, utilizing the legal research skills I have, while I seek a more permanent source of income. My local area is very economically depressed, which is why I am seeking out of town good paying jobs. I have had to cancel countless interviews, for lack of transportation, which leaves me feeling hopeless.

This downward spiral began, when I was diagnosed with cancer, 10 plus years ago. Instead of being able to gain valuable work experience, I was forced to fight for my life, upon college graduation. The gap on my resume, is not easy to explain away. I have tried to work temporary jobs, and have even worked as a substitute teacher. I would take just any job, but cannot afford to lose life-saving medicine, if my state provided medical benefits were cut, due to a job that would not offer them or the ability to purchase them. I thought subbing would offer me the chance to gain working experience, but I had to stop, due to a custody battle, waged against me, by my vindictive ex and his legal associates. They also waged numerous phony allegations, about me, with various agencies, one of which is the one which oversaw my employment. Despite nothing coming of the allegations, the agency overseeing my employment, sat on the matter/s for years now, which has left me in limbo, with no means to clear my good name, and no income source. This further added to my resume experience gap. It is nothing I can explain to potential employers, either.

The past several years has been difficult with all the medical and legal issues, both mine and my younger child's. My sibling was sent to war around the same time my parent committed suicide. This also cost me financially and mentally. My car was repossessed, destroying my credit rating further. This has hindered my ability to attend interviews, and even bar me from some opportunities, due to poor credit. The icing on the cake- the family court rewarded my ex for quitting a higher paying job. They cut his child support payment in half, for my 6 year old. Recently I had to move into a new place, and now owe money for the deposit. I had to use what little I was trying to save for a car, so I wouldn't end up homeless. My older child was working, too, but was put on bed rest, so we now face another income drop. I hope someone can help with anything, because I just do not know what to do anymore.

I am a 29 year old female. I am also an Iraq war veteran and a college graduate. My life was going great until I graduated from school and I can not find a job. I have now hit rock bottom. I have no money and I just moved in with my extremely poor parents who really can't afford to have me. I apply for numerous jobs everyday and go on interviews multiple times a week. At this pace I am hoping to find a job soon. In the meantime I have no money for food, gas or anything. Any help would be appreciated. I read a few stories on here before I decided to post. Hello, I am a U.S. Army Airborne Infantry veteran of the Iraq conflict. A proud man, I have never asked for anything that I could not obtain myself and most certainly thought that I would never have to. I left college and my dreams of a degree behind days after the 9/11 attacks and proceeded to serve my country as a soldier. I never dreamed that I would ever be injured at such a young age, unable to get around like others my own age. My wife had a very hard time dealing with the trauma of war and recently divorced me and moved back home with the children. I now live in a small apartment by myself with no furniture, little food, and no one to help. This week, my truck's transmission seized up and has left me without a way to go. I have no money to fix the truck, to pay bills, or buy food. I have always broken my back trying to help everyone around me, my friends, my family, my country...and now I am in great need of help from someone else. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. I've been plodding along in dead-end jobs for 46 years now and am so tired of being UNHAPPY! I just wish I could wake up and not have to worry about how I was going to make it to the end of the month. I'm not a lazy person at all and am reasonably intelligent yet I cannot seem to keep my head above water. I have never been the most outgoing or self-confident person in the world but have attempted to appear more than I am whilst inside I constantly battle a war with my self esteem and find it difficult to cope with everyday life. I would love to be able to rid myself of my financial burden and concentrate on improving myself and my life.
If everyone who reads this were to send me some money, no matter how little or how much, I would eventually have enough to make myself and my family very HAPPY. Imagine how HAPPY I could be. I could give up my horrible job and begin to ENJOY life for a change.
If you have any spare money and would like to make a difference in the life of an average guy, send me some and I will be forever GRATEFUL.
I'm not jumping on the band wagon or looking to get rich quick, I would just like to be debt-free and in a position to provide a comfortable life for my family. Every dad wants to give his kids a good life and I've got twin daughters who are still only toddlers and have yet to experience life and all its hardships. You may be as badly off as I am yet occasionally still give something to a charity and say to yourself,"I don't even know if this money will go to whom it is intended". Well if you send it to me I will receive it and I will use it as intended.
You may be getting a divorce after a long and painful marriage and rather than let the person who has caused you so much pain take half of everything you have, send some of it to me, a fellow human being, who you will make extremely HAPPY.

I've applied for jobs that pay more and that I could definitely do but I never hear back from anyone. These days you can't even get to speak to a person - everything is done by computers.
I don't want to give you a sob story but the recent upheaval in my life has caused my family and me considerable stress, eventually causing my wife and me to separate. I am determined to re-unite my family and give my kids a mommy and a daddy. I have run out of options and so I am asking you for help.
