My boyfriend and I both work but our wages have been cut massively in the past 6 months. We just scrape by on what we have.

My boyfriend's family has a large bill to pay ($3000) and have asked us to contribute. This seems fair however we have no money to give them. Our part would be $800 and we just don't have it spare. If we had it, we would give it without a second thought.

However, they won't accept that we just don't have the money - even after showing them our balance of $0 - and say that we are being selfish and that if we don't pay the money, they won't speak to us again and will stop us from seeing our adorable 6 month old nephew (born on Christmas Day).

We're desperate and don't know what else to do.

Hello, My names Kaylee and I am in need of a little help if possible. My parents divorced this year and it ended with me, my mum and my brother moving to a 2 bedroom repossessed property that is in dire need of repair. My mum works, but her wages only cover our necessities and there’s no room to save for the house to be repaired. Me and my brother help where we can but we are on little wages ourselves. We currently have no ceiling or flooring in the lounge and kitchen and every wall in the house needs repairing and painting. We also need a sofa and other bits of furniture as we currently have plastic garden chairs. I have a friend who is a builder and is willing to do all the repairs for us, it's just the part of raising the money for materials that’s an issue.
I would be most grateful for any donation that could help towards my cause and I know it’s not life threatening and in some people’s eyes not a lot of money but for us it could make a huge difference to our lives. My mum suffers with Bipolar and this can have a huge impact on our everyday life, with the house in such disarray this can cause my mums behavior to be very erratic and disorganised, I just feel with a home she does not need to worry about that it will help us all to lead a better quality of life :)

I am a single mother of two. I recently just moved and I am having a hard time getting adjusted. I do have a job, but I have been playing catch up on the rent. I did make that a priority so that we would at least have a roof over our heads. But that has left us almost starving. I have been to the local food banks, but they all only run only once a month. I have applied for government assistance, but because I make more than minimum wage they are unwilling to help at all! I am drowning here and I don't want my children to starve! Can some please help us out!

I don't know what to do! My family lost their jobs (layoffs) and I have a minimum wage paying job but because of business, it's been really slow. Hours keep getting cut. I've been looking for a second job or another job and so has my family but no one's hiring!

I am a father of two young boys. we already are living without water and we have no food beyond this week. we walk across street to use restroom at a family members house, this is gracious enough as we have fallen on hard times and so have they. we, together, try our best to help each other but i have been without meaningful work since being laid off from a steel mill. i was a hard worker and went in sick or well to make sure my family had their needs met, when i lost my job it was devastating. i am 26 no degrees, some college level courses completed and have had only two jobs since i was 18. i have little to no work experience outside of the heavy industries which have fallen off sue to the slow economy. this makes me under qualified for most good paying jobs as i cannot work for min. wage and support my children along with my home. this has destroyed my six year marriage and left me penniless and sometimes homeless as my ex wife retains the home. she works near full time but only makes 9 dollars and hour driving bus for osu, not enough income to cover all the expenses without my help. i have moved back home to try to make amends to find that within 10 days we are to be removed from the house if i do not have $1,500.00 for non-payment of the mortgage. please if someone can help us as i am desperately looking for gainful employment, i want to work and am a good hearted christian man. if only a few kinds words to sway an employer to give me a chance, anything would be appreciated.

I just received a minimum wage job and we don't have much at all, we would like to get a place of our own put here and are trying to maintain car maintenence. I recently got my Bachelor's Degree in Writing and English in Grand Rapids, MI. The economy out there is terrible, so I took a train to Seattle, WA. I'm currently staying with a friend in Bellevue.

Pretty soon here, I'm going to have no money. My friend wants rent money by June 1st - $400. I can't afford to eat and pay him rent at the same time.

My beg is for any money you can possibly spare - just enough to get a meal or two would be nice enough. I've applied for over 35 corporate positions in the last two days, and countless minimum wage positions.

Work is also acceptable. I am a published writer, and I would be happy to edit/proofread/write documents for you in exchange for money.

I have had a very bad time this year. In January I slipped on the ice and broke my shoulder, resulting in about $17,000 in medical bills. On St. Valentines day my apartment caught fire and I lost almost all my personal possessions. I was lucky that a few items were in my truck. Today I am working for Waste Management Inc. at just over minimum wage and trying to pay off my medical and other debts. I sleep on an air mattress and get much of my food and clothing from charitable organizations. My weekly paycheck will only cover rent and electricity after the the other bills. I know I will live through this but,at 57 years old I probably will never pay off all I owe, or even make it to retirement age.

My name is Donna and my husband,Tom,is a disabled diabetic. He has been diabetic for 20 years and for the past 7 years, he has been totally unable to walk. He gets SSI but it is not much. I ork but only for minimum wage. Our car stopped running on Feb. 14 and we do not have the extra finances or credit to be able to buy another one. As a result, he has not been to a doctor since to get refills on his medicines or insulin needles. He is getting sicker every day. I would like to get out and look for a better job but can't do that either. I have to push him in the road if he wants to go anywhere otherwise, I walk to the grocery store to buy food. We are behind in all of our bills but only a little bit. We just need someone would could help us with a car and a little to pay up our bills. This has been really hard on my husband. He feels depressed and useless because there is nothing he can do to help and is basically stuck in the apartment. Without his medicine, it gets worse every day. His blood sugar has been staying over 600 and I have no way to get it back down to an acceptable level. It is causing havoc with the rest of his body also. We desperately need a car to get him help. We have 3 grown sons but two are barely making it themselves and the third is in the National Guard and going through a divorce so he is unable to help also. I live with my fiancee and two dogs. Currently I am the only one working because he lost his job it is so hard to get a job in this economy. i only work part-time and get minimum wage. After getting gas and paying bills there is no money left over in my paycheck so the past few months we've been eating ramen noodles and cheap foods. I am selling everything I have, I moved to a different part of the country to find a job. But the wages haven't covered the bills and rent. Im not sure this is something I want to do but im at the end of my rope. To sum it all up, I was laid off from my job in 2009, I lost my house in 2011, soon after, my wife left me for another man and took my child. I found a full time job Jan. 2012 for min wage, and also work pt mowing lawns. My fathers health has taken a turn for the worst and my mother has dementia, so I have moved in "to help" as well as try and get back on my feet. My wife and I are currently legally married and she has gotten engaged, and is living with my daughter and a strange man. Currently all the money I make goes to my lawyer (3800$ so far) because I havent seen my little one in over 4 months because her mother has fallen off the grid. I need to get this divorce and custody taken care of and get my daughter in a safer place. In the mean time my little truck has close to 200,000miles on it and it is falling apart, ill be lucky if it makes it another 6months. If I loose my truck ill loose the only full time job I was able to find and that just cant happen! I just need a reliable car, if anyone can help in any way, I would be beyond words. I dont know what to ask for other than help. thank you.

I've always done well in my life I guess, I have always given to charity, and I've always helped others when they've needed money and so forth, I truly believe there is no better satisfaction then being able to help someone through a tough time when they're in need. In fact there was a time last year when I was walking past a homeless man in the street, it was bitterly cold, I bought him lunch so he wouldn't go hungry for a day, just so he could have that few hours of not going hungry, I felt great in being able to genuinely help someone, especially a stranger.

My situation, I suffer from severe depression and an anxiety disorder, which has seen my mental health decline over the past year, I was forced to leave my job and have suffered a mental breakdown which saw me hospitalized for a few days earlier this year, I took an overdose of anti depressants and was seriously ill, I regret it, but we all have a period in our lives where things can get to tough. I've lived off what's left of my wages which has now ran out.

I have ran out of money, I know it takes a lot for someone to extend a hand of kindness in giving just a small amount, but I will be truly grateful to anyone who can extend a helping hand and donate a small bit of money to help me right now.

I can not afford to eat, and I can not afford to pay for my medical prescriptions which sees me not being able to take my medications, which can have quite a serious implication on my recovery and current state of mind, I've just completed several forms to be able to claim state benefit, however I have to wait for at least 6 weeks before seeing anything.

I can not pay housekeeping, which was essential as my mum doesn't earn a lot of money, so she appreciated the help I could give, and now we may face loosing the house.

I am in desperate need of kind souls to help me and my family of 4 plus my grandbaby to keep from being evicted. I work every day and have tried my best to provide for my family on my minimum wage job. But I have fallen behind and am facing eviction. We are short $1200 and have 5days to come up with money. I am absolutely sick with worry because I have no resources to draw from. My granddaughter is only 8 months old and I am her primary caregiver. I feel a failure! my mom has many racked up credit cards from when she was with my dad that he ran up he was an alcoholic and did it right before they split up now the credit cards are coming after her and she barley makes minimum wage trying to support me and they are going to start garnishing wages 200 dollars a week from her check so we wont be able to buy food i dont wanna see her struggle please help me please.
