Thank you for reading. I'm a 25 year old female looking for a little help from others towards rebuilding my life. A few months ago my fiance took his own life at our house while I was out of town visiting family. I still to this day have not been able to go back to our house to get any of my belongings. The police will not respond to e, neither will victims services. The estate and all of my belongings went to his parents, who blame me for his decision to end his life. It hurts because I was by his side trying to get him help. I was told that the parents discarded everything of mine to make it look like I had moved out so that I would not receive anything from the estate. I lost my car, clothes, personal belongings, furniture, memories of my fiance and all of my paperwork as well as my job, because I couldnt go back. I am asking for donations to help me with food, clothes, shelter, car for work, and to help hire a lawyer for losing everything that I owned. Not one lawyer will take my case for free. With this help I may be able to fight for compensation from the estate and with that money, will go back to school for councelling. I wish to help those who are contemplating suicide, and who are victims of it like me. Again, thank you for reading. This is 100% true story and Im still fighting with the police to this day, wondering why I was never given the option to go back to my home to get my things. Or why they didnt investigate as to what happened to them. Thanks.

my grandmother is in stage 4 of pancreatic cancer - we don't know exactly how long she has left, she really could go at anytime, so it'd mean to world for me to be able to visit her one last time. I haven't seen her since 2007, when I moved to the other side of Nebraska. I've been in contact with her, and she'd like to see me as well. She lives in Crawford, Nebraska and is only 67. It's so sad because she had just beat breast cancer last year.
I currently live in Baltimore, MD and I need to catch a Greyhound bus to Cheyenne, Wyoming - from there, I'll either get a ride or catch the Denver Coach up to Alliance, Nebraska, where my father lives. I intend to stay there for at least one week while visiting, longer if possible)I have my own health issues and need to keep my doctor appts, but I'm wiling to shove those aside should I have the chance to stay in Nebraska longer). I am on SSI, so I cannot afford a ticket on my own. If I leave immediately, the ticket to Cheyenne is nearly $350 from Baltimore - a ticket for the Denver Coach from Cheyenne to Alliance will run me around $100 and I'd also like to get some extra for gas for my dad to return me to Cheyenne, or enough to catch the Denver Coach back to Cheyenne, not to mention food while there. Food is cheap out there so I wouldn't need much to avoid mild starvation =P

Hi. I am 38 years old and live in Canada. One day I watched as numerous people visited my local coffee shop. The thought occurred to me that each individual visiting this store was spending at least $1.50. The price of a medium coffee. Then I thought at least one million people across Canada are going to visit this Nationwide coffee chain. One million people times $1.50. Well that's just basic math that comes to the tune of $1.5 MILLION! This is a low ball number as this chain obviously earns more than that. If One million people put Just A Dollar each in my account, each and every one of them would get to know that they changed One person's life for the better! Its Just A Dollar. I recently met the woman of my dreams, accidentally...I wanted a penpal, so that I could practice my Russian (I studied it while in the army) and ended up meeting a wonderful woman. She has no interest in leaving Russia, aside from visiting occasionally (on business - she's an air stewardess) so that means I'm going there. I still don't have my degree, but would like to get my certification to teach English as a second language, but there is no institution in the US, which gives certification in TESEL or a CELTA and is covered by the G.I. Bill.

I have 24,000 of student debt already, and can barely make ends meet. I'm able to save approximately $100 a month, and I'll need about $3,000 in total for the certification. I sold pretty much everything that I don't need (electronics, games, etc...) and came up with about $1100...So that leaves $1,900 still. Any help would be amazing, I love this woman with all of my heart.

I am not the daughter referred to in the title of my post. She is much too proud to beg for anything. I am her boyfriend and I am the one she talks to every night as she cries herself to sleep. I do not wish to be overdramatic in attempts to get money but this is truly what happens each night and it breaks my heart to see her in such pain, what is worse is that I can do nothing to help her accept provide her with comfort.
Her name is Lindsey Hill and all she wants to do is go to college and leave her parent's nest. Her parents have told her that God has told them that she shouldn't be leaving home. They want her to remain in her hometown and go to the local JC. She has lived in her hometown for the last 18 years of her life. Everyone she knew has moved on with their lives and moved out. She was very depressed while living in her home town and does not want to return to live under her parent’s roof where they set strict rules and regulations on everything she does and everywhere she goes.
Because her parents have decreed that their intentions are the will of God they see what they want as absolute truth, therefore they have begun sabotaging every aspect of her financial life in order to prove themselves, and their ultimatums, right and just and get her back home. They have stopped paying for everything. Insurance, phone bills, living expenses, everything. She is 18 and away from home for the first time in her life in a big city and is completely and utterly financially independent. She has worked hard to keep her head above water since she has moved. She even moved down before she could get a job lined up which was a necessity and almost put her on the streets. She is barely getting enough hours at her job to keep a roof over her head. She rents a small bedroom and her dream of going to college to pursue higher education is completely out of the question for her financially.
Her parents say that she has to choose between living a life of sin and labor without education where she is at, or listening to God and coming back to the light. They want her to live with them and go to the local JC or else, they threaten, she will become just like her "messed up" sister who moved out a few years earlier and is now underemployed with no hope of going to school. Her sister left because she couldn't handle living under her parent's insane household. She is a beautiful and brilliant girl but is stuck in a rut in her life due to a lack of support from her parents. She makes enough money to live in a small home and has no intentions of being able to pay for college. Lindsey loves her sister but has big dreams and an amazing head on her shoulders; she does not want her lifestyle to end up like her sister’s.
Her parents will continue to do whatever they can to get their daughter on the streets including guilt tripping her for not visiting but refusing to help her pay for the $200 gas bill that it takes for her to make the trip.
I am not saying that religious people are all crazy. I, myself, am a Christian who studies his bible weekly and is often at church. That is actually how Lindsey and I met. We both try to live Christian lifestyles and we often encourage each other in our faith.
She is a brilliant girl. Only 18 and is exceedingly bright, fiercely compassionate, and a relentlessly hard worker. She is already getting raises at her competitive job but hates it there with a searing passion. She wants to go to school and have a better future but she cannot find any support from her parents. God is telling them to tear her down and bring her back to the nest by any means necessary (of course this is not how they see things) All I know is that these folks desperately need to learn a lesson or they will lead very bitter lives without the company of their amazing daughter. I don’t want that future for any of them!
I do not claim to know the will of God but the one thing he tells me in my heart as I pray is that what Lindsey's parents are doing to her is wrong. Please help me to provide a better future for my beautiful Lindsey. I feel powerless and I want to give her the world. Her parents believe that their will matches Gods and is absolute truth and I need anyone's help to counter this ignorant assault on the future of an amazing woman who is just trying to live her life after spending 18 years in a town she hates with people she is finding it increasingly hard to appreciate. Please help Lindsey go to college.

I'm a single mother who was injured back in May by an elbow hitting me hard on the side of the head. Since then I've been experiencing all sorts of medical issues and am completely unable to work. I've been living off savings, and the bit of short term disability I received through work in July and August. I've since been denied 2 times from them and not receiving any income whatsoever. My savings are gone!

My name is Karen. I am 26 years old married and work two jobs, and have two children. We are moving November 1st, but unfortunately our car decided to break down two days ago, October 25, 2011. We had to spend all of our money saved up to move on the car so now we are supposed to be paying rent in in five days and are dirt broke, neither of us get paid until the 5th. We are hardworking people, and my husband is a student and works part time, we really had no idea where to turn to get some money, payday loans are not practical and I cannot get enough. Couple rescuing dogs for 10 years. We have blog telling our story in Brazil although we are not Brazilians. http://www.janeiro-emmy.blogspot.com We were financially ruined by a natural disaster floods and landslides. Our business failed due to the lack of tourists visiting the area. Who would want to take a holiday in an area where well over a 1000 people died. We have 18 rescue dogs here at the moment and not a cent in the world. Closed our business and now we are stranded in Brazil with 18 old and several special needs dogs. We have one rescued from the disaster her entire human family died. There are videos on the blog of many of the dogs before and after rescue. We have just saved three puppies from dying and got them adopted out. We have been checked out by several animal groups and are authentic. We need to raise money to find new premises quickly before the bank throws us out. We are on facebook with a page called Dogs in Brazil. Please if you give value to rescue work and want to help visit the blog. See the photos, videos read our story. We have written to 100's of celebs and foundaations. We have a process with a lawyer to become a non profit. It has not been completed due to lack of funds. We are desperate. Cannot let these dogs go back to the streets. Please don't let this happen. We spent a huge amount of money over ten years rescueing dogs and now we all need rescuing and quick. Any help appreciated. We have a chip in on our blog.

The Grasshopper and the Ant
A Classic retold by Joseph the Beggar King
Part One

Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there were two friends, the Grasshopper and the Ant. Why these two became friends is a bit of a mystery. The Grasshopper was a dreamer and a drifter. The Ant was a believer and an achiever.

In school the Grasshopper would look out the window without thought and only learned the subjects he found interesting. Sometimes he would fall asleep in Math class, other times when a angry teacher would jump him with a pop question he would give the correct answer in way that would confound them.

The Ant was a teachers dream, he soaked up every subject the system taught him, gave the correct answers in the correct way and got straight A s. He would delight his Math teacher by doing compound interest in his head. The Ant believed that what they taught him would help him succeed and was very completive. After graduating High School the Ant got an Academic Scholarship and the Grasshopper got a Pell Grant.

Within four years the Ant got two BS degrees in Business Management and Engineering. The Grasshopper dropped out after the first year. He went to live with the Rainbow Tribe for a few years. On the way to the bus station he found an old fiddle in a trash pile along the road and when he got station he was able to panhandle his bus fare. That was the Grasshoppers first beg.

The Ant took the College like a fish to water. During open Rush some Greeks invite him to be a brother in their Fraternity. He earned his dues by being the Frat Houses Accountant and made beer money by writing term papers. One day while visiting the Tri Deltas he watches the girls play volleyball and is amazed that even though they are playing a vigorous game not one of them breaks a sweat. It is there he meets the girl of his dreams, Polly Fishbane.

While the Grasshopper was living with the Rainbow Tribe he never meets the girl of his dreams, but it does not really matter too much because they believe in Free Love. So free, in fact, that after what you might call the Honeymoon he found himself getting a little bored with it. From the Rainbow Tribe he learns to live off the fat of country and from his new friend, Buffalo with Runs, he learns to live off the land. Buffalo with Runs was an very old Indian that was adopted by the tribe. He taught the Grasshopper what wild plants were safe to eat or use for medicines. He showed him how to set traps and hunt small game. Then, during one winter Gathering four people froze to dead because they were too stoned to come in out of the cold. The Grasshopper became very sad and hopped away.

The Ant is recruited by a Aerospace firm even before he graduated college and goes to work on the Apollo Program. He and his new wife Polly loved the Florida sunshine and settle down to start the American Dream. They decide to have two and half children. Even though the third kid looked a bit odd the Ant loved him as only a father can. With easy money down and mortgage tax deductions compliments of Uncle Sam, they get a house with a two car garage. Next they get two cars and the Rat Race is on. The Ant loves it! Working on the Apollo Program is more than a job, it is being part of history. Polly loves it! Raising their kids and Keeping up of with the Jones. She starts selling Avon products on the side. The Ant buys the best bass boat in the neighborhood, but only uses it once a year because he too busy working. He sets up his retirement funds and a small stock portfolio. Life is Good!

After leaving the Rainbow Tribe the Grasshopper panhandles his way across the country. He sets up in parks and subways where he pretends to play his fiddle while selling jewelry made of deer anthers and beads. The noise he makes with his fiddle sounds like a cat being killed and people give him money just to make him stop. Before the Cops run him off, the Grasshopper usually made enough in one day of begging to cover his needs for the week. When he is hungry he goes to a Soup Kitchen and when he needs clothing there are the Sharing Centers. Every now and then he lets some good hearted woman try to save him. Life is Good and he hops away.

The Apollo Program ends and the new Shuttle program does not start for a couple of years. The Aerospace company were the Ant works at does not win any of the new bids. They offer him a job in California at 20% less of his salary. Polly and the kids are in a rage. Nobody wants to move and leave their friends. The Ant sells his house at a loss because the real estate market in flooded by the laid offs. The one car and the boat are reprocessed. He sells off his stock portfolio for the down payment on the new house in California and even though money is tight the Ant decides to take the family on a short vacation to Key West to uplift their spirits. He finds the Grasshopper selling deer antler jewelry at the Front Street Market. While Polly and the kids go shopping, he and Grasshopper catch up and have a couple of beers. The Ant tells his friend about the laid offs and the move. The Grasshopper asks him - Are you Happy - ? The Ant says - Yes -. His friend says, - Good - . They watch the sunset and see a green flash on the horizon.

First off let me thank you for visiting this web site. Just getting you here is a big accomplishment to me. Okay now you are here if you would take about 5 minutes to read my story and pass along the word that would be a blessing in itself. My name is Tony and I am a 41 year old man. I have a girlfriend/wife that is about the same age. We have a 16 year old son and a 2 year old grandson that we raise. My wife has had several back surgeries and is in the processes of applying for disability. I am currently unemployed and we are a few months behind on bills. Also our car broke down about 2 months ago. We live in Middletown, Ohio. This is our present day situation. Now let me tell you how we got here. My wife/girlfriend met about 9 years ago. Neither of us led a very virtuous lifestyle actually we were both very much into the drug scene and that is how we met. Neither of us had a job and we supported our lifestyle and drug habits by hustling and shoplifting. I am a convicted felon and no stranger to that side of life.I was actually in alot of trouble growing up, never for anything that involved any violence but wrong is wrong no matter how you look at it. Anyway back to my story. Everything we had and all of our energy went to supporting our lifestyle and our habits. Her son was about 7 or 8 at this time and we were homeless and you can’t sleep in a car and hustle everyday and take care of a kid, so what did we do? What would any drug addict do? Give up the kid. Man that is sick. So we sent him to stay with my sister and further immersed ourselves into that life. We lived like this for a couple of years and then I got popped for shoplifting for the umpteenth time and finally had to do a little time.Now during this time I didn't have a religious experience or any type of awakening I just was tired of living this way and subjecting my friends and family to all my bull. So when I got out we sat down and talked and decided to change. We did not go to rehab or any type of program, we just stopped and started living a real life.It was no easy way to go either. we started small, getting jobs,a hotel room and a junker car.She got what she could with her back and I worked a couple of fast food jobs. we worked our way up to an apartment and then a house and eventually better jobs. We also got our boy back and started being responsible people. Now I consider us a success story. Then a couple of years ago her 24 year old daughter had a baby and got into drugs. Isn't it funny how our past always comes back to haunt us? So we took the baby in and counseled her as much as possible but I honestly think most people have to learn about life for themselves.Now her daughter is in jail and we are raising our grand-baby. Actually things have gone quite well for quite a few years, but as with everything in life we have hit a snag.Her back finally gave out and she cannot work and is applying for disability and the company I was working for sold out and with the economy the way it is there are just not that many jobs around and with no car there is absolutely nothing within walking distance. So now I come to my last part of why I asked you here. We have applied for welfare, food stamps,H.E.A.P.,food pantry, and any program I can find to help us! Something else I failed to mention is my wife is a German immigrant and her green card is expired. That cost 600.00 to renew. I desperately need a car which is about 1000.00. I am a few months behind on bills. I do not want to go back to the way I used to be. Now I am not used to asking for charity, or any type of hand out. In the past when I was in need, or I wanted something, I stole or took whatever it was. My girlfriend and I have come a long way physically,mentally,emotionally, and spiritually. I have grown alot and I do not want to go back down that path that I followed in my younger years. I know now that life is full of choices and it is a choice that each of us must choose to do the right thing or the wrong thing, but I also know that sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to survive. I am writing to you because I do not want to become a statistic. We have learned a lot and we want our family to be a success story.I would appreciate any and all help that you could provide me and my family. We have worked very hard to get were we are today and we are not lazy and we would work for anything that you could do for us, but please keep us in mind, in your hearts and prayers.I have put a button on here to contribute money and I do not expect people to take care of me but if I could get a thousand people to donate a dollar then I could get a car and then a job and hopefully back on my feet.If you can’t donate then maybe you can give me advice or tell me to whom I can turn to. I am starting to get desperate and I just want a break out of life and was hoping that someone out there knew of something I can do. If not then pass along the word maybe eventually someone will come to this website that can point me in the right direction. As I said before I am not lazy. I also am not dumb. My name is Jeff. I am 41 and currently living in Nashville, TN. I made this page in extreme desperation asking for financial help with my right leg. There is a picture of the ulcer on my right ankle, which is also painfully swollen, as well as pictures of the varicose veins on my blog. I never ask for anyone’s help, ever, but I am now humbled to ask for your help, it’s probably my last bit of hope.

I have varicose veins very badly in my right leg, and its been a 25 year-old problem which has been getting slowly worse over time. I also got a venous stasis ulcer on my right ankle last year from the vein problems. This was a nightmare for me as it took almost a year to heal over leaving a very bad scar.

I need to have Endovenous Laser Treatment (ELT) surgery on my leg very soon or I will probably lose my leg I’m told. I also need to have cosmetic surgery for the horrible scar on my ankle.

I need $7,500 for ELT surgery very soon and I do not have medical insurance. The cost of cosmetic surgery varies but it is estimated to be $5,000 to $10,000. The grand total I am trying to raise is $20,000 to be certain I have enough money to recover from all this and as I may miss some time from work.

I do work FT right now but I simply cannot afford health coverage, I am living by the skin of my teeth currently just barely making rent. Also the state of TN will not let me have TennCare, I’ve tried many times and got told even some people with cancer cannot get TennCare – just crazy.

So I am asking you today if you could find it in your heart to donate even a few dollars (or a significant amount) to my cause I would be so very grateful to you!

Hi, I am here to ask for help for my friend whom is dying of cancer. I make about $200 dollars a month and have no other help. I have one friend that is also trying to raise money but we've barely saved up enough for even one treatment. The girl who has cancer has been my friend for years and I don't know what to do. I have tried everything and I am desperate. The treatments for chemo, radiation, medication, hospital are outrageous. With our economy, I cannot get a job and also visiting her and making sure she's okay, I wouldn't have the time. I am on the brink of homelessness too and will be kicked out of where I am living in 2 weeks. This means I too will be stranded. I need money for rent and to help my friend. I am not asking for thousands and thousands of dollars though it would be helpful. Anything helps at this point. If you think you could provide me with even the smallest assistance it'd be greatly appreciated. I am forever greatful that my best friend is still living. I know she doesn't have much time, but I would love to see her go happily. All I want is enough to make her smile one last time before her time is up.
