We are raising money to help Veterans and their Families that are in Need! Currently we are focused on a Navy family that is in dire straights! The husband is a Veteran who has just been released early from the Navy due to government budget cuts. The wife has just undergone hip and leg surgery and is currently disabled. They have two small children ages 1 and 3. They are currently in debt and have been living out of a hotel. They lost military housing a few weeks ago. Also their car has broken down. They are currently in Virginia. They were kicked out of the hotel and as of now they are literally on the sidewalk. They have no place to go, and they have no money. They need money so that they can travel back to Illinois where their families are! Please please help! Help a Navy Family get home. I am a woman with cerebral palsy who is wheelchair-bound. I am looking for part-time employment. I have a bachelors of science in criminal justice. I also have some postgraduate training in public administration. I am looking for employment because I have to repay a $10,000 loan I took out my graduate education. Unfortunately I was unable to complete my graduate degree because I became ill. Now that I have recovered I would like to have steady work so that I can pay off my loan debt and hopefully once that is paid off return to school so I can fulfill my lifelong dream of helping military veterans have a better quality of life. Because of Medicaid restrictions I can only make $200 per month without losing my benefits. While I was in graduate school I worked alongside the veterans organization at my university where I performed budgeting and other administrative tasks. I have a resume available upon request. Hello My name is Isaiah. I am a brand new father of a beautiful baby girl named Miriam. I am having trouble finding a job that pays enough for my family to live off of. I would part time helping veterans, the pay is minimal. My wife just recently lost her job so things have been hard. Family has helped where they can and I am grateful for that. I will need to start making more money soon or we will lose our house, its in foreclosure currently. Our car is also on its last leg and without repairs will not last much longer. I have been training myself in small business management and marketing for the past year. I am hard working but my current efforts have not yielded any results and I am starting to get discouraged. I want to start my own business but lack the funds to get started. The business I would be starting would be helping veterans and local people get the skills and training they need to get jobs. There are a lot of jobless vets out there that I think I could really help with this business. If anyone is interested in helping me out with funds or information on where I could attain funding for a business please, it would be greatly appreciated. Any amount you could donate would be helpful. After taking into account the house, car and starting the business I would realistically need around $50000 but any amount I can get help with puts me closer to that goal.

My wife cheated on me while I was in Iraq on my last deployment, took all my money I made over there and left me with nothing. Additionally, I had a pretty bad accident after I got out of the Army and Tricare refused to cover the bill even though it was a Perk for extending my deployment. Im going to college full time right now and can't start at my new side job until June 10th 2012. The disability compensation from the VA for injuries from Iraq will take another 8 months to kick in, and the money of the VA GI Bill which myself and practically all other veterans are supposed to recieve is delayed, again thanks to the VA.

I'm asking for just a few dollars that hopefully accumulate, to pay my Emergency Room bills, my credit card and keep me surviving until I start my new job and the VA finally gets its act together.

Hello, my name is Adam and I am a student veteran. I am studying business management and need help finishing up my degree. I am 2 semesters short of finishing and have run out of government funding. I have a wife and two children to support while i go to school. I also work part time helping veterans find jobs. I counsel returning vets from overseas and help them in any way i can. Recently, my 80 year old grandfather had become a victim of domestic violence/elder abuse. His bipolar, alcoholic wife of 22 years began abusing him. She has been criminally charged and is awaiting trial. In the mean time, she has filed for divorce and is asking for spousal support/alimony and much more. Being 80 years old, he is on a limited income and cannot afford a divorce attorney to represent him. He doesn't have much, but what he does have, he worked hard for and I don't feel that she is entitled to anything due to the abuse. Help me, help him. I am only looking for attorney fees, any amount received above that will be donated to veterans charities as they have done a lot for my grandfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am dying of cancer(stage 4 prostate cancer that has spread to my bones).The doctors have told me I could die as soon as December of 2012.The treatment I have been getting for a year(chemical castration) has stopped working as normally happens.My PSA is starting to go up again.The doctors will only be able to give me palliative care-drugs for pain and then chemo and radiation only to relieve severe bone pain.I am 58 and have been staying at a homeless shelter for five months now,waiting for these people to help me get housing.The environment here is not good for somebody with my health problems.Because it is a mixed shelter,the noise level is constant and very high from screaming and crying kids and their mothers yelling at them.Also.because I am not a veteran,I feel my case is being put on the back burner because there is a big push to get all the veterans on the street housed because of all the federal money coming to the shelters for that purpose.Don't get me wrong-the vets have earned priority because of their sacrifices.I would just like to get enough rent money to spend my last months in a more peaceful place.By the way,I probably got the prostate cancer from being exposed to cadmium every working day in my first job in California from 1973 to 1976.I am in the Los Angeles area.

In an attempt to start anew,my wife and I and our four children recently moved from Pennsyslvania back to our hometown of Louisville, KY, where the cost of living is much more affordable.
To forestall the spectre of foreclosure, we did a short sale on our PA house, and are now renting in Louisville.
Since arriving here in July, I have been unemployed (with the exception of an 11-day temporary job). We have fallen behind in our rent and bills to the amount of $3,000 to $5,000, and we need something within that amount to regain our footing. I start a new FT job today, Oct. 4, that offers +40 hours a week with opportunities for OT and, I hope, advancement. My wife and kids are also passionately seeking employment (one of my sons recently started a new job).
All was going well until 2005 when I lost the career/professional position I had that included a decent salary and healthcare for my entire family. In the past six years I have been underemployed with damaging stints of underemployment. Two times I've been laid off. I've washed dishes in a restaurant, mopped floors in a nursing home and worked for a mammoth retailer, all in an effort to provide for my family and seek open windows of opportunity. In one job I even worked five consecutive 15-hour shifts. I have more than 120 resumes pending for various government and private sector jobs.
I'm a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the father of three Boy Scouts, including one who is an Eagle Scout.

My husband and I have been out of work for the past 9 months. We are doing the best that we can to take care of our 3 children. Both my husband and I are Army Veterans and are not afraid of hard work. But we can not find jobs locally and we can not look for jobs in neighboring cities because we don't have transportation and there isn't public transportation available. We have not been able to fix our car because we don't have the money. Anything that you are will to donate would help. Thank you for considering our request.

I am a Viet-Nam ers vet, disabled since 1995. I am recieving a veterans pension of $985 per month. This is my total income, with this money I pay my bills and mortgage. I do not own a vehicle as it would be too costly, so I depend on my daughter for transportation. Last year her husband was involved in a wreck that killed two people in the other car and mangled him real bad about 15% above FUBAR his recovery is progressing real slow. She is in need of a water well and some home repairs. There is no running water in the house and she is in danger of running afoul of Child Protective Services unless she can get a water well dug and hooked up to the house. She does what she can by working at any job that comes along, but that falls short of the money for a water well. I am a disabled veteran currently wading through the countless pieces of paperwork and playing the wait and see game. When I first applied for my claim it was said to take 90-120 days. When that time elapsed I was told six (6) months. After six (6) months I was told another 12-18 months.

I haven't been able to work for 18 months. My savings are gone. My truck blew up. Worse yet, my water pump burned up and I have no running water. My heat/ac unit caught fire over the winter,...thus no air conditioning now that the heat is on.

This is real. I am making nothing up. I really need some help while awaiting the outcome of my V.A. disability claim. There are no real veterans groups out there that give help. Most, if not all want; donations and won't even answer email or voicemail.

If there is truly one human being out there with the love of God in their heart, please help me.

I'm currently a full time student/stay at home Mom, my husband is a 3 time Iraqi and Afghanistan Veteran who works for the department of Veterans affairs as a nurse. After years of saving and paying our bills on time and doing things "right" we bought our first home. We had three different inspections to make sure that everything was good and safe for our family. A few weeks ago my 9 month old son came down with a 103 fever a rash covering his body and an upper respiratory infection that wouldn't seem to get better. After some research I got the idea to search for mold in our house, and sure enough, I discovered that my whole basement was hiding black mold behind the wood paneling. My husband is a very handy, and we decided to take care of it ourselves. We bought the Hazmat suits and masks and bought the solution for washing the walls etc..etc.. So, long story short, when we went to clear out the closet we uncovered an unopened box of Asbestos Tile!! We opened it only to discover that it was covering the entire basement floor and enclosed back porch of our house. Needless to say, we soon realized this is out of our hands and we need to hire a professional. All of our efforts to come up with the money for this project have been dead ends, and in the meantime we can't even live in our house. We are all living in one bedroom at my Mother in Laws house, basically indefinitely until this is remediated. This is my last chance to come up with the money to make our house safe for my children. Please help us if you can.

I have 2 days to get into a new place!! I already have volenteers to move me, and I will get my monthly disability check of $696. on the 1st, I just need assistance with the deposit! I saw on 20/20 (or some other news show) that there are many people who are more than willing to help people in need, you just have to reach out to get connected. I have never begged or "cyber begged" for a thing, but I don't know what else to do! I am a good person.. and promise to do what I can to pay back, or pay-it-forward any help I may receive. My disability is a result of my father having been showered with Agent Orange in Vietnam 3 years before I was born.. 2 of my 3 siblings also have neurological problems and the 3rd has a heart condition. (my father passed when I was 16 due to military related issues). I am working on getting veterans assistance, but having to move literally fell in my lap 2 days ago and I don't know what I will do. So, I ask PLEASE, help me someone. We live in a state where Gov programs are being cut Every single day and the $$ problems are endless, but at the same time have some of the wealthiest people with available extra resources.
