help me and my kids
Posted by hughie on 2012-05-12 17:58:26
old and have been separated from my
wife for the past 16 months. I have two
children whom I have not been able to
see without being supervised for the
entire time we have been separated. I
was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes 11
years ago. My wife claims that I am not
a fit parent because of my disease and
that being with me puts my children in
danger. I have been fighting this in
court the entire separation, but I have
the unfortunate disadvantage of going
up against a family that has much more
money and much more power than I. I
came to the United States 16 years ago
from Ireland, where my six brothers and
sister and my parents still reside so I
do not have a lot of support here in
the United States. I am going public
with my story now because I am losing
out on precious time with my children
and there does not seem to be an end in
sight. If I had the money or legal help
to fight this battle, I believe that I
would have won back the right to spend
time with my children long ago. I am
being treated like a criminal because
of my disease. I am not attempting to
gain sole custody, I am only looking
for joint custody with the right to be
able to spend time with my children
without the direct supervision of my
soon to be ex-wife.
If this is a story that would be
interest to you, I would be more than
happy to discuss it in greater detail.
Thanks for your time.

Endurance paddle planned Charitable feat could wind up in record books
Posted by kieubanks on 2012-04-02 21:58:06
For kayaker Steven Banks, it is going to be more about physical as well as mental endurance rather than simply covering a set distance around Marco, Goodland and Cape Romano.
Banks, owner of Dreamlander Tours, on April 20 will set out on a 24-mile round trip he estimates will take about 24 hours, including a night stop on the water in the vicinity of Cape Romano when he will be on his own without a back-up team.
He is attempting the feat to raise money for three of his pet charities, the Impact community outreach ministry overseen by local pastor Ben Sprankle; a Malawi, Africa, charitable medical clinic called Partners in Hope; and a Cuaravac, Mexico, mother who is blind and has an epileptic son.
A poignant Marco Island connection is that another of her sons, Benito, worked on the island, raised a family, but died in 2011 from meningitis following a mosquito bite.
Banks had befriended Benito.
âBefore he passed, he asked to make sure his mother and brother were taken care of,â Banks said.
A trip to Mexico to meet them prompted Banks to do everything he can for them, and his goal is to have them come to the United States for treatment.
Banks has called his fundraising paddle Kayak Marco 24.
It will consist of the 24-hour paddle that may incur inclement weather and unpredictable winds, put him at risk during the Cape Romano solo stop, and put strain on his body because of being out on the water for such an extended time.
But he is not too worried about that aspect.
As a hands-on guide, he paddles up to five or six hours at least three times a week, so has plenty of residual paddling fitness.
Still, he said, the length of time he will spend out on the water represents an unpredictable challenge, so he is avoiding any kind of complacency.
Banksâ route is not a fixed affair either, other than he starts and finishes at the Snook Inn.
While winds are unpredictable from this far out, tides are not, so Banks is studying charts and conferring with some of his charter fishing captain friends to map out the best places to try to be at certain times.
The combination of headwinds as well as fighting an in- or outgoing tide could be formidable, he said.
If the going is really good, he added, he will probably put in extra miles.
The kayak Banks plans to paddle is not the sleek, 17-foot kind that could zip around Marco, Goodland and Cape Romano in a matter of a few hours.
He will be using an ordinary, fairly short and stable craft that doesnât have much gliding ability, so every stroke will count.
While Banksâ sole motivation for the endurance paddle is for his three pet causes, a cherry on top may come in the form of recognition by the Guinness Book of Records.
The category would be âlongest nonstop time period for a single person kayaking.â
The recognition would be subject to correct and exhaustive documentation, Banks said.

going up & up.
It is seldom that a person finds someone who is so similar, & so much of what they were looking for.
As most do not find their true Soul-mate, & I hope against all odds that I will be united with mine.
If You are a romantic, or have ever experienced that "something special" with someone, you can identify with my dilemma.
Please, any amount of help that You can give will be most sincerely appreciated. And may God Bless you for it.

Human beings are nourished by our mother nature with fruits, vegetables, water and air. But there are so many places that are affected by extreme climates, drought and natural calamities .
i have never missed three meals a day - 1 breakfast, i lunch and 1 dinner. I cant even imagine to miss any of my meals.
Have you seen people not having a single penny to buy a meal. Working for nothing but food. People running behind one slice of bread. We leave in a world with half a billion of people dying of hunger.
i don't have enough money to buy a meal to all of them but you can.
Help those who come to you for food. If it is possible buy them a Meal.
May god bless u all..

My Story
Posted by Eliabe on 2012-03-11 23:58:20
(Note: You may see this same post on beggingmoney.com)
My name is Eliabe. I am an 18-year-old guy from Brazil and I need your donation because I need to move away but I can't afford it.
Let me tell you why.
I grew up being abused by my dad -- emotionally and sexually. I did not realize what was happening until recently. I still have to deal with the consequences. I became social phobic, anxious and depressed. I am still afraid, disgusted of and uncomfortable with touch and closeness, yet I am dying for it. An African therapist agreed to help me for free, so I am getting better but only very recently am I making progress.
Three, almost four, years ago (2008), my family rejected me over religious issues. I wanted to join this Sabbatarian Christian religious association (this particular sect is a minority in Brazil and honestly everywhere else but they're more present in the US and England) and my family rejected me and reproached me so severely that it radically changed my personality. They wanted to throw me away. I was only 15. I had nowhere to go. I was deeply shocked and shaken on the inside. I never knew I could feel so hurt! I had never expected such sudden rejection from them. My mom said I was a disappointment to her and that I would not stay under the same ceiling as hers if I wanted to keep my faith. My siblings made fun of me and my new beliefs. My father demonized me and said he'd take me to their religious authorities to âstraighten me out.â They accused me of bringing a curse into our lives and treated me as a shame to the family ("What will others think?" they wondered). My relatives (uncles, aunts, cousins -- I have a big family) were all against me too. I did not tell my friends because they belonged to the same religion as my parents. I started isolating from everybody. I became very deeply depressed. I would sleep just not to have to be awake and suffering.
It was really overwhelming to me. I had nowhere to go, no one to turn to. The congregation was out of town. So I decided to give up on joining that group. However, I did not stop believing in them but I had to pretend to be in my parents' religion on the outside.
But then my life became a nightmare. I had bad dreams at night. I became paranoid. Every time I was outside, I would walk around the house many times before taking the courage to go in. My heart would pound every time the phone or doorbell rang or someone called my name or asked about my religion. I would feel sick and go pale every time someone initiated a conversation about religion with me. I was traumatized. I am only getting better now. I fainted many times as I got weak because my mom refused to cook clean kosher dishes for me. I canât even begin to describe all the sacrifices and pains I had to go through not to lose my identity. I canât, for example, go out on a date or have a serious friendship because I am hiding the most important part of myself. Try to have a relationship where you do things you canât explain the other party. Do you think it can ever work? My friendships are all shallow because of that.
I am a recent high school graduate. I took a basic course on administrative services and telemarketing last year, paid by the government as part of a program in Brazil called âJovem Aprendizâ (âYoung Apprenticeâ in English). As part of that course, I am working part-time, supposedly to acquire experience in the field, though I actually work as a warehousing assistant in the company (completely unrelated to administrative services). As I only work part-time (4 hours a day), I only receive HALF the minimum wage, which means I earn about $2 per hour. Yes, I could save that money to achieve my goals. It would take over two years but it would be possible. But I can't at the moment because I have to support my parents and siblings. My brother also works and my dad has recently found a job after three years of unemployment but I still have to give them a significant part of my salary or else we will starve. Also, even if I could, Iâd still be desperate because I have been suffering for almost FOUR YEARS!
So I want to move away because I want to be free to convert and live my life, have friends, a girlfriend and a normal life. I got a passport and contacts in the United States. They can help me once I am there but they canât buy my plane tickets as they cost over $800! There are also additional costs as I need a visa. I am currently looking for a job there. There have been people who want to hire me but they stopped contacting me after learning of the costs they would have to pay.
So please help me. It is the ONLY way for me to be happy again! It doesnât matter how much you donate. It will make a HUGE difference.
Thank you very much. God bless you!

Urgent: Kentucky tornado victim plea for help
Posted by Cocogurl1234 on 2012-03-06 18:58:47
As you well know, there is great need and the devastation is overwhelming. There are towns that have literally been wiped off the map and others that have remained closed because they can not get the help they need due to roads that are impassable. By the grace of God my family and I are survivors. My family and I are writing to ask for your generous assistance with getting my family and I life back on track, our life has been turned upside down because of the Tornado that hit the Midwest on Friday.
We've lost everything, the only things we have is the clothes on our backs. I've contacted the United Way, but no help. I called the Red Cross they could only offer food/shelter for the time being. Everywhere I've gone, everybody is telling me there're insufficient funds. They don't have funds. There is nothing they can do.
Whatever amount you are able to donate would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Please find it in your heart to donate.
God Bless!
I am desperate, I need my home..Please Read!

The balance of my home ($41,000.00) will be due in full this year. I bought a small home on a land contract from a very kind Christian man who believed in me. He helped me because I was unemployed. Three years later I still cannot find even part time work. I have applied at over 200 companies. I am also caring for my 86 year old father which I want do as he needs me. I have a 99 Mini Van, high miles. No toys, and I have sold what little I have on Craigslist. My father has a small fixed income and health insurance. I have none. I am single with no children. I was adopted. My parents gave me all the love a child could want. We have never had much. My parents always taught me "People before possessions" I lost my mother a few years ago. I will do anything to make sure my father is cared for. He has early signs of dementia. I watch him slowly lose weight and memory.
Anyway, my friend passed away and my loan is in the hands of his estate. His family will repossess the home if I can't keep up with the payments, and pay the full balance. It is a (1976) manufactured home and I have learned no bank will finance the home even if I were working. I don't know if my friend knew this when he loaned me the money, but he had a heart of gold. I guess I should have checked into this.
I have tithed and given to The United Way for 20+ years. Now I'm in trouble. My small church is unable to help except with food. I'm trusting God and asking for help from anyone in a position to do so. ANY amount would be a blessing! My faith is strong & God is in control. The fact is, if I lose my home, I lose everything. If you are unable to help, I welcome your prayers!!
Thank you for reading my post & May God bless you all.

URGENT LIFE SAVING TREATMENT NEEDED
Posted by CancerHelp on 2012-02-10 14:58:53
This week Ruby's family received the devastating news that Ruby's cancer has returned and the only course of treatment to save her young life is to return to America for Proton Therapy.
Over 18months ago Ruby Owen from Stoke-on-Trent underwent Proton Treatment Therapy in the United States to try and remove an aggressive form of cancer on her brain.
The treatment was a success and Ruby survived, returning home to her family in the UK in August 2010; but this week the Owen family received the news they had feared the most, that the Cancer had returned.
We need to raise another ã60,000 to send her to the USA. Please help by texting RUBY60 ã(Amount) to 70070 or donating online at www.justgiving.com/rubyowen

Wanting a Baby Girl
Posted by mummylove5 on 2012-02-01 20:58:17
I have 4 sons and our baby girl was the icing on the cake for the family! I am dearly wanting to fly to the US to have Gender Selection as I would love to have another baby Girl. I'm not wanting to replace our daughter but to fill that hole in my heart and to feel love again. I got a taste for what it was like to have a daughter, and it was absolutely wonderful.
Help me visit my parents who live 6,000 miles away
Posted by Annie2012 on 2012-01-24 14:58:07
I am South African but live in the United Kingdom. I would love to go and visit my parents who are still in South Africa but I am finding it hard to save the money in these economic times. My parents are in their early 70's and I feel that I should see them sooner rather than later. I would like to mention that my parents are not ill and neither am I.
The cost for flights are just slightly over £1,000 or $1,600. I am almost halfway there - saved £458 so far.
I would appreciate any help that are given to me whether it is just £0.01 or more. I promise to email anybody pictures that would like to see the reunion. I am hoping to have saved enough by November of this year.
Thank you for looking and even if you don't donate thanks for taking the time to read this.
Leaving for Colombia in 29 days!!
Posted by crauschenbach on 2012-01-05 00:58:46
This February I have been so lucky to be invited to attend another delegation! This time the trip is to the cities of Cali and Bogota in the country of Colombia, one of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse parts of South America. Here I have the opportunity to spend time with rural Afro-Colombians and to learn about the women in positions of leadership who have helped support and strengthen their communities. Unfortunately because of the travel warning between the United States and Colombia, my school will not approve this trip as a study abroad experience. Instead, I found a professor who is willing to facilitate an independent study, where I can still earn course credit for the trip. Unfortunately, because it is not considered a study abroad program, I am ineligible to receive additional funding or scholarship money through the school.
Traveling is my passion and engaging in new cultures is incredibly fulfilling for me. Please help me accomplish my goals and follow my dreams!

My son just got accepted into FUMA
Posted by frsno1 on 2011-12-23 13:58:37
Me and my family are excited about this huge opportunity for my son. The road to get there was not easy however, but God answered our prayers. Alejandro Jr. has always been a very active child with an even more active imagination. As a baby, me and my wife would hear him play all night and could never sit still. During his elementary school days, his teachers would always remark how intelligent he was, but could just never sit still or not be a distraction to his class. What could I say, that is the way he was born.
But he went through elementary school on the honor roll each and every year he was there all the way through 6th grade. He was ready to go into middle school. When he entered into the 7th grade, things changed. There was a lot of bad influence and it started to affect my son because he has always been so innocent. His grades suffered, but he still scored in the top 97% of students in the end of the year state testing.
8th grade fared no better. He wasnât the same anymore. He didnât go to a good middle school. Lots of gangs and rumor has it drug dealing was going on there as well. His teachers didnât care about him because he wasnât doing the work, but he would still score 100 % on his quizzes and tests. His school wasnât any help either. My son wasnât being challenged, he knew the material, but he was not going to thrive in that environment, it seems he was getting harassed by his teachers and staff.
We wanted to remove him from that school as we had been fed up with the school district for a while now. We looked to see if there was an environment where he would thrive. After much research, we heard about the Fork Union Military Academy, which is an all boys military school. We took a look and my son loved it. This fits right in with his goal of joining the United States Marine Corps after high school.
We have been blessed that financial aid has covered roughly half of the tuition, but we are still in need of the other half, which is $10,000, which is due in 5 months. I am asking for any generous donation(s) that one may feel the need to contribute too. If you find it in your heart to do so, me and my family could not thank you enough and if you decide not to do so, thank you for your patience in reading about my sonâs story. I wish a Happy Christmas to all.
