We have a youth military basketball team in need of basketball uniforms. We have ten players which they parents have deployed or are deployed playing on the team. Please donate for a great cause. The kids don't have uniforms, currently they using tshirts.

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Jean and I am a mother of three. I am married to William, for 4 years and we are NJ natives. I am a caregiver for my 60 year old mother who was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure in January of 2011.

In June of 2010 my mother came from Michigan to live with me with the intention of helping me and my husband by watching our children during our working hours. My husband and I both work very long hours, and the children would have been required to spend long periods of time alone. So my mother came to help us fill the gap. In October of 2010, my mother’s health took a turn for the worse and it was continually getting worse as the year progressed. By January of 2011 my mother was unable to stand for any length of time and was always short of breath.

On February 10th I admitted my mother to the emergency room @ ACMC/Mainland. She was immediately diagnosed with kidney failure. She was admitted to ICU and on February 12th she had a cardiac arrest, due to toxic levels of magnesium, in her system. My mother suffered a sustained brain injury and to this day has a deficit she will have to live with forever. This deficit has taken away her ability to drive, live on her own, or be without some type of supervision.

My family suffered an extreme financial crisis that is ongoing and increasingly more devastating. I was out of work on FMLA for 8 weeks without pay. I was given $1200 in disability payments. I was allowed back to work, but with a significant decrease in pay and a change of position.

We have fallen behind in our bills in a catastrophic way. It seems the more we pay the more we owe. In fact, for the last week we have been without running water. Our gas has been off for three weeks and we use that for hot water, heat, and cooking. Our bank fees for the month of September have been astronomical (well over $400) for NSF charges and Service fees. This is just spiraling out of control. The children attend a local charter school and Pleasantville High school. Each child only has one pair of shoes and one uniform because I can’t get ahead of the curve to get them additional ones. The little ones need their school logo embroidered on the uniforms but that cost more than the shirt did.

We feel helpless and without some type of help we will continue to be a homeless family of six. We are currently living in a motel on the edge of our town. This is a pay by the hour type of place but it is the only place that will charge us by the week and will allow one of use to sleep on the floor. We are soliciting any type of help you can give. Please be mindful that we are hard working members of society. We have been working since we got out of high school. We are not beggars and we are willing to give back in the form of community service.
All I know is that we need help! Immediately or we’ll be past saving!

Hi everyone. I've never done this before and feel a little awkward, but here goes. I am a single working Mum, but getting nowhere.I have had 3 deaths in family since November and had to travel each time, therefore, I wasn't able to pay bills and it is just gong in a downward spiral. I have to travel a long distance to get my children to school and myself to work and I am struggling with the cost of everyday living. My children desperately need new school uniforms and shoes...I can't even afford to buy them new tights for school at the moment. I know there are so many charities out there and I feel guilty asking people for help, but I really don't know where else to turn. Any help at all would be much appreciated and I would be forever grateful. Thank you

hello, 6 months ago the father of my three children walked out on me, i have 3 boys 8,5,3... my ex partner has left me with a debt of 2k, i manage to pay £150 a month off this, but with rent, bills uniforms food shoppin etc etc im finding it really hard, i have 2 birthdays in march my son turns 9 and my other son turns 4, i know kids are not materalistic, and as long as they have love that should be all they need, but im desprate to get out of debit and give them the life they deserve, thank you for listening xxx

Hi I go to holy names which is a very small school We don't have many sports teams here so me and a friend decided to start a cheer-leading team. We now have 15 girls and no uniforms and no practice mats to do stunts and tumbling on. I'm a single mother of 3 and my ex-husband is doing everything in his power to not help us. I've been doing okay for a while but all my savings has been depleted. I downsized my expenses by selling my car, moving to a smaller place, finding a closer job to home so I can walk, no cable (thank God for free wifi). I've actually set us up to begin to dig out of this hole I found us in.

The thing is everything is so new, I started my new job and moved within the same week. I had enough money to cover moving cost and purchase uniforms for my kids new, public, school. Two weeks later and rents due and I haven't got my first pay check and I need to buy food for my kids.

I never thought I would be in this situation, becuase i am qualified with a Masters degre and presently in a good job. The problem is I made very risky business decisions and investments and now I have next to nothing.

Before reaching this level I signed up online with so many work from home and freelancing companies so that i can work during the night, but i cant seem to find jobs. My name is Annette, and I am a 30 year old wife, and mother. I have registered to start classes in the fall to be a nurses assistant, and I am in need of financial assistance. Because of the duration of the course I am unable to receive federal assistance. I could change what I want to do to receive federal financial aid, but that would mean a longer course, and I can't afford to wait that long to start making better money. I have a 6 year old son, and my husband is disabled, and cannot work, so that is why I am trying to get a certification to make decent money for my family. I have been a struggling entreprenuer since the early 90's. While I was a law enforcement officer full time.I have owned a cleaning services in nyc for a few years that I lost trying to help others that only cared about themselves. I Lost alot of money and all my cleaning contracts with the applebees restaurants. Then in 2007 I left my cop job to work for myself full time instead. I opened a partnership business as a financial consultant. The economy killed that business. My lenders and investment firms just stopped lending money. So therefore, my clients couldn't get the funds they needed for their projects. Which meant that I couldn't get any commissions from my clients. So that business died. As you can see I have been trying to acheive financial freedom for well over a decade. And I am still determined to do just that. I am now fixing to get into a business that I should have gotten involved with back in the 90's. It's definitely recession proof! In fact the bad economy has set the demand for this type of service in over drive. Heck! The need for this type of service has been in over drive since the 9/11 tragedies. The industry I am talking about is SECURITY!!!. I know I cannot fail with this business! Why?! Because there is a strong demand for it! Especially down here in charlotte nc where I now live. Security covers a broad spectrum in services. I intend to do the obvious. Which is security guard and patrol services. The problem is I have no more money to start my security guard business. I am currently an armed security guard who just got laid off as of 03/31/11. And I can't go back to work until my GUARD CARD from the state comes back. I can no longer work while waiting for it to come in (ALTHOUGH I'VE BEEN ACTIVELY WORKING SINCE LAST SEPTEMBER). The bright side is that I have time to set things in motion for my own business. The downside is, I will be living off of $155.00 in unemployment benefits. Which I won't receive my first payment for another two weeks. Which will not do much since I have a pregnant wife, a 5 year old autistic daughter, a one year old son. And I am also paying child support to my 15 year old son's mom back in nyc. YES I AM FLAT BROKE! If it wasn't for my daughter's SSI benefits our rent wouldn't be paid this month. I really am feeling like less of a man on that fact alone. I want to provide for my family the way a REAL man should. And I know that I can do it again with this security business! But I need money to get it going. I am going to need about $500,000.00. This 500K will afford me the opportunity to buy patrol vehicles, uniforms, office space,supplies, business insurance, equipment and at least 2 salaries for the first year out. I intend to service the neighborhood watch program communities. Since no companies are doing it. I don't know why they aren't but it is a HOT market right now. And with my 13 years of law enforcement experience. As well as an additional 8 years of security experience. I know that I can put together a very effective and well saught after security force. So if there is anyone out there, out of the millions upon millions of people that are online right now, tomorrow, and everyday that wants to help me out. I've been called by God to be a nurse. I have completed all of my prerequisites and will start in the nursing program in August 2011. My husband is currently working 3 jobs to keep us afloat (he lost his job almost 3 years ago and we've been able to muddle through since then by the grace of God) and though I've applied to hundreds of jobs myself, most employers in this economy aren't interested in an employee who has been a stay-at-home mom for the last 9 years.

My first semester of nursing school will cost approximately $2000 for books and tuition. I've already paid several hundred in uniforms and other supplies, but the remaining amount seems insurmountable without outside help. If you are financially able, please give the amount you feel led to give. If you're not financially able, please keep me and my family in your prayers.
