Never done this before, cant pay my rent $400

Posted by tobyny82 on 2012-05-09 07:58:45

My name is toby. I am 29 from New York state. I am also half Australian with dual citizenship. I also work at a historic hotel called Mohonk. My long term plan is to move to Australia at the end of the year where the economy is still very good. I then plan to go back to school with the goal of getting a phd in phsycology. I then wish to return to the u.s. and help military vets as well as at risk youth. My work will get busy over the summer so all this is realistic, but right now it is still very slow! I have exhausted my savings and cannot pay my rent at the end of this month. Please help me! I am willing to start corresponding to keep you updated on my progress towards my ultimate goal.I hate asking for help but im really scared that I am going to become homeless. I have paypal or I can give you my address for a money order. Thank you so much kind people!
I developed perhaps the ultimate in 'sustainability' based perma culture farming with almost no tilling required here in Oregon. I am not big on all the sustainability jargon but what I have done is created a kind of natural farm factory that I would like to see reproduced on a larger level. It produces high carbohydrate value food with almost no irregation although some was required to get it started and revolves around an ancient plant speices friend of man-kind the Chestnut Tree. Believe it or not chestnut trees can produce upto 2,000 lbs each of nuts a year if spaced at least 40 feet apart. There is a story and a book on how to do what has been discovered here on a small farm at a very much larger and perhaps international basis. The economy and use of the Chestnut is a bit of a harder sell than wheat , rice or corn. It is the lowest fat tree nut in existence. It is also glutten free. The farm still has nuts for sale from last year thanks to their being no organized major distribution network for our product like other basic crops and growing competition (all good for the long run) Money or new land to develop in the Pacfic Northwest is sought after. We have many nuts to plant and many seedlings ready to transplant and we have other types of plants that play a role in the development. Inexpensive cleared land that needs to be replanted in the Northwest is sought after for this purpose. Land that is inexpensive and not suitable for vinyards or other uses other than slow timber growth would be perfect but at an affordible price please if possible. The amazing thing about chestnut trees is their tap roots can allow them to self irregate in places where it seems there is no water to resourse at all at the surface. donations accepted as well as land donations/ participation. Chestnut trees also have value as wood and timber as a hard wood. In some areas once timber is cut down in the Northwest most of the value of the land is gone which would be a perfect time for us to go in and buy iti to reforest it with an eye to new permaculture farming. please help if you can.

A HOUSE FOR DAVID

Posted by glittergrape on 2012-03-21 22:58:50

My family has hit a financial crisis and looking for help. My husband and I have a 4 year old son and he is autistic and recently became diabetic on December 9th 2011. He was in the hospital for 5 days and I ended up missing almost two weeks of work at my temp job to be with him and to learn everything I need to learn to take care of him properly. We were evicted from our apartment due to lack of funds. My temp job also ended in January and we are now living with family. My ultimate dream is to provide David with a house to grow up in. I am saving for a down payment on a house; any help we can get would be awesome and very appreciated. Nothing is to small to go towards my savings account for the down payment.

Hello, I am a recently graduated college student from UC Davis. I have had to suffer through the recent economy, and as such, I am extremely fed up with the current situation. My ultimate goal is to buy my own house, however, I am short of the funds necessary to make such a purchase. Therefore, I am making my heartfelt ask to any and all out there to donate money to me, for my benefit. I would appreciate any and all donation. Ten bucks would be a good start, but a hundred would be grand. Thanks a bunch!

To be the best eye doctor but no money for education

Posted by eyedoctor on 2012-02-19 04:58:38

Dear everyone,

my name is Kate, recently I have been accepted to an optometry professional school to become an eye doctor - optometrist. The school starts in August 2012 and ends after 4 years. However the tuition fee alone costs $34000 per year and the living expense costs $20000 per year. In total, I will need to have about $55000 per year and hence $250000 over the 4 years of my study. Due to my parents' low income, the bank cannot borrow enough money for us, they can only borrow us $30000 in total. Yes, this amount is significantly less than what I would need. I have dreamed of becoming an optometrist since my high school years. During my entire undergraduate years, I worked part time at an eye clinic. I was able to gain a good understanding of the optometry field as well as what it takes to run a private clinic. I learned how to interact with staffs, patients and doctors most efficiently to ultimately provide the best patient care as possible. While most people have uncertain future, I am lucky to be sure that becoming an eye doctor is what I would like to do in the future. It is my passion, my goal, and my life. It is my ultimate goal to be an eye doctor who takes care of eyes of the poor and the underprivileged people, both in developed and developing countries. In order to achieve my goal, I must become the very best doctor by receiving the best education. If one has such strong aspiration to do a great thing for the underprivileged, how sad is it to see that person's dream being hindered due to his/her poverty? Please help me reach my dream so I can further help out others in my future. Please donate any amount you wish to help me raise $250000 for my optometry education. Thank you so much for reading my message and helping out. Thank you.

Want to be an entrepeneur, need equipment and software

Posted by Spyke on 2011-12-15 20:58:16

I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Digital entertainment and game design. This degree covers web design, animation, game design, 3d animation and modelling. I also have a degree in music performance with some skill in music composition. I want to be a 3d animator. my goal is to start by making small psa ads, cheap online games and iphone/android apps, and short films. I have the talent and the training to do this in a way that puts out completely original music and visuals. This is the second step in my ultimate goal of working for a game company designing games and ads.

Unfortunately, graduation did not come with the tools to start out. I need professional versions of these products so that I have no trouble with marketing and selling my work:

Adobe Creative suite design premium or master collection
Autodesk 3ds max/maya
Finale music notation

I also need a desktop computer capable of running the full versions of these programs. A Macintosh would be ideal, with a touch screen monitor so that I can use my monitor like a drawing board, and a MIDI capable keyboard so that I can do composition.

I need all the help I can get. I have student loans that need paying off, and I know that I can really make some money if only I had the right tools.

please help me stay with my family

First of all I am very embarrassed and humiliated to even be on This site, but everyone needs a little help sometimes. I am a 58 year old woman, I've been divorced for 16 years and have done everything on my own with NO help from anyone. I realized I'm not getting anyyounger and had nothing left Where I was. I made the decision to move to the small town where my daughter (my only child ),and my two wonderful grandsons live. All I have found is part time work and am about to have my truck repossessed, I've already had things turned over for collection. My ultimate goal to to open a outpost store with my daughter, that will come in time (unless you can help with that ).what i need is $5,000 to to get caught up so i can stay with my family. I would be so grateful for any help, and I will keep you posted on my progress. Thank you for your time and God bless!

Please help a sailor give her fiance a dream wedding.

Posted by NightQueen on 2011-09-05 19:58:08

I've been in the Navy for 6 years and served 3 back to back deployments. My fiance is very ill and most of our money goes into paying medical bills.

We want to get married in a wonderful memorable way but if we get the wedding we want, we will not be able to afford to eat, even with my benefits. The military will not recognize our union (we are gay) so we will not get the benefits that straight married couples do. We will still be scraping away to pay for her medical bills and have a roof over our head.

I want to give my fiance the dream wedding she has always wanted but never thought she would have.

Some background, she cannot work, but she volunteers working with kids and helping animals. She's my hero, and I just want to give her the best I can. This wedding would be the ultimate gift to her spirit.

Thank you.

Please help a sailor give her fiance a dream wedding.

PLEASE HELP - TOWNS NEW WATER RATES ARE DROWNING US

Posted by peds66 on 2011-08-25 07:58:53

In order to “live the American Dream” my husband and I moved 600 miles from our home town. We were actually doing ok, until now. My husband hasn’t seen a pay raise in the past 5 years and no raises are planned for the future. Three years ago he picked up a second job to supplement our income since we were coming up short. I also work full-time but with three children and no family nearby a second job is out of the question for me. Then the ultimate bomb hit. The town we live in decided that we needed an increase in our water rates to pay for a new treatment facility. The increase is over 300 %. No I am not exaggerating. Look at the Town of New Windsor, MD website. The proof is in black & white. We now can no longer pay our bills. Our first quarterly bill is estimated at over $600.00. I need financial help and I need it desperately. The only way out of this is to either move (and real estate is not selling) or better myself finish my nursing degree and get a better paying job. I ANY help from you would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your kind generosity.

Recently Single Mom needs help

Posted by Mistyhugs4u on 2011-07-22 04:58:20

I am a single mom to 3 kids age 13-8 we came for a visit to see the kids grandparents and my youngest dad called me and told me not to come back. After 8 years of dealing with his medical problems and his drinking addiction. Anyways we are starting over with nothing I do not even have a vehicle a friend came and got me and we were only suppost to be spending the weekend with their grandparents. I have horrible credit due to having fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, IBS, osteoarthritis, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic migraines & depression. I have not worked since 2002 when I was injured at work and had to sue the company but by the time I paid Medicaid back & the lawyer I got a whole $4000 and a surgery that has left me with a permanent handicap due to it never healing right. We are staying with my parents but need are own place ASAP, my youngest daughter needs size 7/8 clothes, my oldest daughter needs 14/16 in shirts and size 3 in jrs. & we desperately need a bed we are sleeping on air mattresses and the queen size one has so many holes in it that it deflates every nite and I end up waking up on a concrete floor. My ultimate dream would be to have a tempurpedic mattress but would settle for any kind of new bed I can not ask for one on freecycle because my parents are worried about bed bugs getting into their house are state has had a bad outbreak of them. I also REALLY need a LAWYER the only income I have is my daughters social security check and I have a LOT of debt and I need 2 file for bancruptcy since I see no other way of digging myself out of the hole. I also will need to find out if I am considered common law married and what I need to do to make sure I have custody of my daughter and her alcoholic father can't get her. If you have read this all the way to the finish Thank You!

In the meantime we are training on local trails and will record them for public enjoyment.

The Gear I need:
- Macintosh Laptop

I am a 19-year-old student of sociocultural anthropology who also has a strong interest in ecology and the environment. My life's dream is to one day start my own ecotourism company that employs local people in developing nations, encourages responsible and environmental-oriented travel, increases cultural awareness, and gives back to the community. In the past I've been lucky enough to participate in several overseas tours with such companies; I financed my most recent trip by working the night shift in the dairy and frozen foods department of a local supermarket for several months. However, the one nation that I have always dreamed of working in is Zambia: a landlocked nation in southern Africa brimming with diverse landscapes, breathtaking natural beauty, and friendly people. Unfortunately, poverty remains an ongoing problem in some rural parts of this nation. My ultimate goal when visiting Zambia is to communicate with some of the local people in their own languages (I've been studying Bemba and Nyanja) in an attempt to better understand the social, political and economic climate of Zambia, support local lodges, hostels and safari guides, and learn more firsthand about environmental issues in this beautiful and fascinating land. Of course I always prefer to work hard for such travel and research opportunities, and will be perfectly honest when I say that there are many people on this website who need cash donations for reasons far more vital than mine. For a student who is currently unable to find work, I am unsure of how I'd pay for a trip to Zambia at some point next winter. I will continue to search for work and strive towards once again earning the money myself, but if anyone wishes to supplement the costs of my travel with a very small donation, I will certainly be thankful! If I can find 2,000 people who can each give just 50 cents, I will be well on my way towards realizing this dream. Thank you for your time and support!

need money for a new laptop!

Posted by andera72 on 2011-02-14 22:58:58

Hi there!

First of all I would like to thank you for your time in reading this, although the money is for me, it is for good use. I'm in need of a new laptop for school. I am enrolled full time at UW-Oshkosh as a nursing major. I do work hard to achieve my goals. I am currently employed as a CNA, but with school I am only able to work 2 nights a week. This money is what pays my normal bills (cellphone, gas, insurance, college payments etc), but lately I've found it difficult to be able to complete my school work on the laptop that I have right now. My ultimate goal is to be able to have enough for a Macbook Pro. I think that this will accelerate my nursing degree and will help me succeed! Who knows, maybe someday I'll be your nurse!

Thanks again for reading this, and if you decide to donate, extra thanks to you!

Starting over

Posted by NoShame2011 on 2011-02-04 22:58:58

I have had a very hard three years. I got financially sabotaged by my mentally ill mother. This caused a ripple effect that has my finances in ruins. She withheld info that I needed for my FAFSA for almost two years and had to get a override just to go to school. She's a college student herself:( Isn't that ironic ?

So besides paying off what i can with a job that i barely make 5k a year,so I do what i can. Which means that many bills go unpaid and as a college student that pays her own way through school, good credit is very important.

I'm not asking anyone to help me pay my bills. That is my responsibility. What I am asking for is help to start over in Canada. My ultimate goal is to finish up undergrad, attend medical school and help impoverished children in Africa by providing low cost medical care to local villagers. I have a big heart and nearly invisible resources to do it.

I wouldn't ask anything of anyone else that i would already do so i have already starting putting aside money for a new financial start in an old cream wafer can. So far i have about five dollars saved up. It's not a lot, but it is a start.

Anything you can give will go a long way. Be a generous as you can afford to . The goal is 10,000. This is the amount needed to go to Canada and be able to find a place to live, eat, etc. I appreciate anything you guys can do to help me reach the goal of a fresh start, and more importantly returning the favor by helping those in need.
I have NEVER EVER done this before but I ran across this site and figured I have nothing to loose trying. "Where there is a will there is a way!" Where to start? Sighhh...
I am the sweetest, sensitive, charitable, loving, giving, God Fearing, non judgemental, lover, encourager lady.. Many of my closest friends and family call me an "Angel on earth"... But even Angels need help once in a while.. I'm usually the helper so asking for help is new and a bit hard for me to chew..

First let's start with: My name is Crystal H.. I am a 32 year old caucasion lady that lives in Colorado.. Native to Colorado. Growing up I excelled in school thus earning 4.0 average and constant Honor Roll. I did have College opportunities ect. but at that time I met a young man in college, football player and fell in love. I had a good paying job as an office manager and thought all was good.. It was for several years anyway..We married and At 23yrs. I gave birth to my miriacle baby whom was premature and weighed 2 lbs. 11oz. I was very ill at the end of pregnancy due to acute Eclampsia so she was born early emergency c-cection, flight for lifed to Childrens Hospital in Denver and I stayed in ICU for the first week.. Keep in mind due to circumstances I never was able to see or touch my daughter before they airlifted her to Denver.. Finally one week later my doctor gave me a two hour pass to beable to go to Denver and meet my new daughter for the very first time.. Words can't tell what I felt and the emotions I was feeling.. I still tear up recounting the events.. But yes after many tears, fear of touching or holding her due to her size and all that was hooked up to her I did finally get courageous enough to hold my new born daughter after a week for the first time.. Love at first sight! Chills are still going through my body as I write this.. Anyway's over time she improved and became much stronger. She was small but mighty. I was finally released from the hospital myself and spent all my time with her at Childrens Hospital until release day.. Brought her home at 3 lbs. 12 oz and had the ultimate baby learning/motherly instincts. With 4 yrs. of twice weekly physical therapy she grew out of her challenges, and has grown into an way above average intellence, beautiful nine yr. old.. Thank you God!!!

My next challenges were none to fun at all! My marriage became rocky.. He became abusive physically, emotionally and mentally.. After about the last 3 yrs. becoming so bad and scary I could not deal with his abuse or allow my daughter seeing such activity. So with that said I asked him to leave our home. He would not leave without a police escort, but finally was gone nonetheless.. I am NOT pro divorce at all so after the initial anger callmed down I did go to him asking him to please do counceling with me and let's really try to work this all out. He REFUSED! So after being with my ex husband twelve years we finally did divorce.. =(

Right after the divorce at the age of 30, I was rushed to the ER and diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. I was in ICU for over one week and spent several months at home on oxygen. But now since the divorce I was dropped from his insurance so I am unable to have the cardiovascular care needed and a heart valve repaired.. But I have faith one day I will beable to have this delt with.. Gotta believe!

Next was really NOT PLANNED or wanted but happened. I finally met a young man whom I started spending much time with. Due to my heart and lack of insurance I was not on birth control but did use condoms with him. Unfortunately a condom did break and yes I did become pregnant.. Three day's before Christmas last year I misscarried the baby and spent two day's in hospital due to D&C and my heart. I was released at Christmas and had a hard time dealing with the hormones, lack of support from the young man, failure in my parents eyes ect.. Just plain and simple was a hard time for me emotionally but I NEVER once let my daughter know of this and still have not to this day. She does not need to be scared any further than what she has already in life.

Now we come to current events.. Swear I have let my life become a soap opera and should right a what not to do and how to survive book for women.. sighhhhh.... Anyways. After being single for nearly a year and of course wishing I could meet a nice (preferably) Christian boy to date and enter into a relationship with a man whom I have known for several years who was a family friend while I was married came back into my life. This time he showed strong romantic gestures and over time did finally earn some trust n love with me. We entered into a relationship and it felt safe and comfortable since I'd known him so long, family new him and my daughter new him well already too..
I finally started becoming happier and was slowly gaining a little self confidence, and believing that things will end up working out finally afterall.. (Keep in mind due to lack of insurance and Heart Failure I was still not allowed on birth control pills like I wanted) we of course used protection always. But two times the condom came off in me.. I hoped all would be fine and I would not become pregnant, not at all wanting to repeat my first ordeal I had with my daughter plus now with my Congestive Heart Failure on top of it all pregnancy would NOT be good! I went to a local clinic and talked to a female doctor there and begged her if there would be anyway I could qualify for any free birth control that would not hinder my CHF.. Finally I had good news.. =) She said she would see if I could qualify for the low hormone Miranna and if I did she would implant it in my uterous for free.. This was to last for five years.. Yes one positive answered prayer. I went to my doctors oppt. as sheduled, they had me do an UA to make sure I was not pregnant before insertion and preped me for the procedure. Right before the Doctor was to do procedure the nurse came into the room and notified both of us that indeed I was pregnant.. My head swirled with confusion, fear, stress ect.. After talking to my doctor briefly about it, my history ect. I left the office and proceeded to go to my boyfriend to update him of the current events.. At the very beginning he sounded happy and positive, even eased my mind a little but about two day's later he up and left me. I have had my first ultrasound and as of yet the baby is alive and well. Strong heart beat. I am nearly two months pregnant, doctor took me off all my heart meds. due to baby. Still no insurance, applied for Medicade which really saddened me that I was at a point I had to do this.. Very humbling to say the least, and am alone, confused, many urging me to abort the baby but remember I am Christian and this is a hard concept for me to accept.. Currently unemployed, single mother, pregnant, no father support, lonely, desperate and really beginning to feel hopeless.. There is a high probability that the acute Eclampsia could repeat itself again as it did with my daughter and now I'm older than before. Not 23 anymore now I'm 32 with Congestive Heart Failure and Hypertension. Trying to support my nine year old the best I can and now so worried and fearful of what is to come.. Christmas just happened and it so did not feel like Christmas to me. Not much I could do for my daughter or my loved ones. I'm so scared of what the near future holds and how I will beable to deal with it, and be healthy enough to continue taking care of my nine yr. old. Need a good job but kinda feel it would be hard since I am so high risk I have MANY constant dr. visits. Neonatal parnatologist, my OB, and supposed to find a cadiologist as well to monitor me.. Medicade pending but no answer if they would accept me yet, bills piling up, and feeling out of control totally of my life right now.. Sad and confused that bf left me too.. I'm praying sooooo hard daily, nightly, looking on internet for at home jobs I could do but most end up seeming like scams, keep going to church in order to help try to keep me grounded and keep the faith that somehow it will all work out.. I sure hope I have not bored you to death, some may be pretty disgusted by my mistakes and situation, but I do hope nonetheless that maybe even just one person actually found this post, read it through, and maybe just maybe is in a posistion of life that they could and would be willing to help me out a little.. The whole "Pay it forward" campaign.. I fully believe in that and fully believe what goeas around comes around.. Regardless of the outcome I wan't to take a moment to wish everyone that took the time to read my post all the best to you and yours, full love and ENDLESS BLESSINGS to all!

With love and true sencerity,

I never like to beg but circumstances have led me to this situation. I lost my job at the end of May and my funds are now running dry, only $17.00 left. My rent is coming due in August and I have been denied unemployment benefits and another job is hard to come by, though I'm trying really hard. I have fought for our great country of The United States of America and all I ask if you can find in your patriotic hearts to donate at least $1 to my PayPal account. I'm not greedy at all, even in my troubled times, and every dollar in greatly appreciated. Please, help me from hitting a crises and becoming homeless and hungry. My PayPal account is topcopds@yahoo.com I'm still waving the American Flag and still believe in not just my fight, but our fight as America against recession and wartime. We will all pull through and prevail, but remember freedom isn't free and many of us have paid the ultimate price. Please, don't for get to support and fight for us. God Bless you and thank you for any donation.

Pursuit of Education

I was three years old when I began my educational career. My mother had petitioned for my acceptance into kindergarten because my birthday fell a week after the cut off date. The school accepted me though they were adamant because I was believed to be too young for kindergarten. I was sent home after my first week of school. "Mrs. Wilson, Jewel will not be able to continue kindergarten unless she is properly potty trained." My mother called me into her room. "Jewel, your teacher said you can't go back to school until you go to the potty." I never missed a day of class unless it was out of my control after that conversation.

My name is Jewel Smith and I am nineteen years old. I became one of five children after my mother's marriage. Now, I am the oldest of three in our household and my mother is a single parent. When asked, "What is your favorite activity?” most children would respond with a sport, videogames, or TV show. My passion is learning. I enjoy all subjects from sciences to literary works.

My mother strives to give only the best of education for my siblings and me. She made it very clear that we had to work as a team in achieving this goal. I attended a private catholic all girl high school through scholarship and financial assistance. I knew my mother couldn't afford tuition for my siblings and me. During my high school career, I excelled in AP/honors courses, maintained a high GPA, and participated in numerous organizations. Many people in my neighborhood believed I wouldn't "survive" in my high school setting because for the first time I did not attend a school with students who were of my racial or economic class. However, I was able to push through adversity even when it threatened to take my mother's life away during my junior year of high school. My mother's lung collapsed and some doctors stated she almost didn't make it. During my high school career, I learned people could cultivate their differences and come together as one entity regardless of race, class, or gender. I was able to maintain over a 3.5 GPA during my senior year and built a strong support system with faculty, friends, mentors, and family members.

I currently attend DePauw University in Greencastle, IN as an incoming junior. I have a declared major in English Writing with a possible second major in Spanish. I maintain a "B" average. I was granted a large package with my school that covers my tuition and some room and board. Unfortunately, the left over balance is still too much for my mother and I to afford. I was informed that I must pay the left over balance of $6,700 as well as my incoming fall balance of $4,000 in order to continue my education at this institution.

I believe that everyone has a special gift that helps the world become a better place. At five years old I knew I wanted to serve others as much as I can. My ultimate goal is to give back to my home community as well as those who are less fortunate in the world through education. It is through this letter that I ask for your help. I want to continue my educational career through undergraduate and graduate studies. I ask that you partner with me so that I am able to make my dream a part of reality. Thank you in advance.
