I recently ran into some really hard times. I've got my tuition loans all the way down to $1,100.00 and my wife lost her job, and I lost my second job. Things are rough, and the bills are piling up while we both look for another job. I am not a slacker, I've worked all my life for everything I do (or don't) have, and all I'm asking for is a little generosity in return. Also, I will commit to helping 2 or 3 people on this site once our income gets back up. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated, and thanks for your humble assistance...

Update: I will need $2000 by July for a down payment. Then I pay the rest in installments. If I get at least the $2000 I can get the rest by make weekly and monthly payments.

My daughter is going to college in the fall to study veterinarian science. She will be attending SUNY Delhi. The cost for the tuition is approximately $20,000. After getting college loans and financial aid of $500 (unbelievable) we have to pay $6,000 out of pocket for the rest of the costs. We can't get any more loans because we are at our limit. Any help is appreciated. Even if this does not work, I can get the money out of my 401K. However, I am 46 years old and if I do this, I will not have much money in there to retire. This is something I should have started earlier in life. Therefore, I only have about 12,000 in there right now.

I find myself embarrassed as I am typing this note. I am a mother of three boys who has been out of work for over 2 years. Every day I beg agencies for work, any type of work! I'm sure that on this site you've heard every sad story in the book. All I have for you is the truth. My two daughters are 5 yrs old and 9 yrs old. The youngest will soon be starting 1st grade and the oldest will soon be starting 4th grade. My wife and I decided from the very beginning that if at all possible we did not want them to have to go to public school because of all of the negative influences. We do our best to raise our children in a healthy christian environment so they will grow up to be productive citizens and not "victims" of society. To make a long story short, it takes $6000 per year to keep our children in private school. This past year was a tough year for our family (like many americans) and we were not able to keep up our tuition payments. We currently owe $4300 for the school year that has just ended. If this balance is not satisfied by August, our children will not be able to start back to school and we will be forced to place them in public school. My wife and I are not lazy and we do both work full-time jobs. It just happened that we were unable to meet these payments due to other pressing debts. Any help at all would be appreciated and I'm sure that you will be blessed many times in return.

I recently lost my job to someone in the companies family, I am scared to lose my apartment too because I need the living until I finish school to land a better job. I used my remaining money from work, and financial aid to pay as much rent as I could without facing eviction and tuition debt. Now I have no job, car, or money to afford food until next month. I am looking for money to complete a degree program in Speech Language Pathology. I need to finish four courses over the summer to transfer into a four year university in the fall. I'm not looking for much. The tuition is $650.00. The school stated that they do not provide financial aid during the summer which is why I need assistance. Every dime that I have been made has been going towards getting out of debt, but it doesn't seem to be making a dent. I am about to be turned over to a collection agency if I can't pay some of my debt off by june 1st. I am very stressed and very scared. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello I am 29 and in desperate need to debt relief. I took out Payday loans and maxed out my credit cards to help pay for tuition. Now I am in deep debt and I can't get out.

I work and it's not enough to cover my bills. I want to attend school in the Fall but, I won't be able to because the payments are taking my entire paycheck.

Lets see. I am 20 years old and living in Austin TX-for 2 years now. I am a ballet dancer training with the Austin Ballet. I have been dancing for 14 years. I was adopted along with 7 other siblings in my family, due to abusive and addictive birth parents. I have had a whirlwind couple years with being unemployed, separated from my fiancé and raising my son alone. I’m a 21 year old college senior double majoring in English and Mass Communication, and I need help.

I have been living on my own for two years and working very hard (and struggling) to make it. I pay my own car note, insurance, tuition, and every other bill associated with my living expenses. This month, my rent is late and my apartment manager has already filed a notice for eviction. However, she said if I can have it paid before I’m served the papers, I won’t be evicted.

I have nowhere to go if evicted (besides my car). My friends and family are unable to help because they do not have the financial means to do so. I have pawned everything that the pawn shops will accept and sold everything that I can.

I still need a little over $700 to pay my rent and the late fee.

I'm currently attending a University in Northeast Ohio. My Spring and Summer classes are online until my children return back to school in the fall. Then I will be attending classes on campus in the Fall and Winter Quarters. Unfortunately, this is how my college years will have to be.

I'm begging for money for my college expenses. Every penny will be going toward tuition, textbooks, and other directly related college expenses.

I only ask because the expense of college is becoming a huge issues at my house. We are falling behind on everything else trying to get me through school. I do not want to end up having to quit!

I'm back in school for so many reasons. The biggest one is to get the heck out of poverty and off of government assistance.

I am a 36 year old single mother of two awesome teenagers and I'm trying to fulfill a life long dream by going back to school.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be an archaeologist and history professor as well as wanting to move to Norway since first reading the Prose Edda at the age of 11. Unfortunately those dreams got put on hold when I had my first child at the age of 19 and my second at 21. My children are now 15 and 17 and about to go off to university and begin their own lives and so it is time for me to revisit my dreams. This is going to consist of 3 steps each of wish I need help funding as I do not qualify for student loans/grants and cannot afford to quit my job to be elligible.

As the first step in this process I have been accepted to the University of Leicester to begin work on my BA in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology and am scheduled to begin classes on June 4th 2012 via distance education. In total the 3 year course will cost £10,350 with £1150 installments due every January, May and September 1st. Along with this one module requires me to go to England in year 2 for field school at Borrough Hill as well as a second trip over in year 3 for lab work. There is also an option to make a third trip for the graduation ceremony if funding allows. Each of these trips will cost roughly $2500 - $3000.

The second step in this plan is to complete a Master's degree in Nordic Viking and Medievil Studies at the University of Oslo in Norway. At this time UiO does not have tuition fees however they do require that international students have NOK 80,000 (roughly $13,500) per year of study. And Norwegian law prevents international students outside the EU from working while persuing their studies.

Finally the third step in the process much like the second involves doing further studies at UiO in the form of persuing a PhD in a topic related to Viking Metallurgy.

I have already taken steps to start covering costs on my own by working as much overtime as I can get (though this option is going to be limited once school starts as I will need to focus on school work) as well as moving from the house I was renting to a smaller, cheaper apartment with a roomate to cut costs. Unfortunately these measures alone aren't going to be enough to get me there. Any help you could give would be very much appreciated.

I don't know where to go or what to do. I've left an abusive relationship and need to be living on my own. I left all my belongings and everything i know and now i'm staying at a Women's shelter. it's really scary here.

My job have cut my hours. My mother just got laid off and we have know money for bills, my college tuition, and food. To make things worst my car just broke down and unemployment has not started to kick in for my mom. I know I am in desperate need for money to pay bills and for my college tuition. However, food in my house is more important. I have went to some of these churches that gives food but after a certain amount of times you can not go back. Yes, I used to be a stripper. I have made some poor decisions in my life, but would like to put the past behind me and live a more philanthropic and spiritual life.

So here it is: I cannot receive my federal aid because of the 150% limit. Basically, I was unsure of what I wanted my major to be, and I took a lot of classes. Now I have a financial aid hold on my account, and I cannot register for the summer semester.

I only need 2 MORE CLASSES to graduate.
If I can pay my tuition for this semester, $1690.49, I can register for summer classes.

I need to be done with school so I can make a career for myself. Going back to stripping is not an option; the emotional, physical, and mental stress is too much.

I am seeking help to pay for my son's college tuition and associated fees. My son has been accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It is an honor for anyone to be accepted to this esteemed institution, however my son's story is quite exceptional. When he was 10 years old, he nearly lost his right arm due to a post-surgical bleed. He was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder known as von Willebrands. He has been left with a disabled arm and hand. He only has use of his thumb on his right hand. His childhood was comprised of surgeries and infusions. When he was 12 years old, he asked if he could buy a guitar. He was so happy because he had seen Tommy Emmanuel playing guitar with a thumb pick on television. He purchased the guitar and began working on a technique to play. He can only use his thumb to pick the guitar strings and must hold his fingers in a special position so that he does not mute the strings. His goal since age 12 has been to study at Berklee. It is an honor to be accepted to such a fine school. Despite a severe disability he has been able to achieve this remarkable goal. Financing his education is going to be extremely difficult. Berklee is an expensive college and scholarships seem scarce. If you know of any scholarships that would be available for him please let me know. I feel that I have just about hit rock bottom. My parents are not in the situation where they can help me with my tuition. There is a hold on my account for $1,400. I'm not allowed to register for next semester's classes until I pay it.
