Injured nurse, mother of 3, unable to work

Posted by INJUREDRN on 2012-03-23 11:58:24

I spent my career taking care of sick and injured people working in intensive care..but i gave too much and permanently injured my back, and after having three levels of my spine fused, was told i could never return to the bedside..(and still need two levels of my neck fused) that was 15 months ago..i tried to get work comp & social security but was denied. I dont qualify for govt help because i withdrew my 401k to stay afloat. Im still looking for work but noone will hire "damaged goods"..i have drained all of my resources. I have 3 children, and had to send one to live with his dad because i couldnt manage when my 3year old's father left me after surgery. Unfortunately, i was desparate for medical care & married so i would have medical insurance. The man i married is abusive and treats me badly because i cant contribute financially. I need to get divorced and pay my bills until i can get social security (i appealed it) or a job that will pay for childcare & bills. There is no help available for injured medical workers, even though we spend our lives giving to the sick & injured & their families. PLEASE, if you can help me with a donation, please help me. Ive unselfishly given my life & donated when i was fruitful..now im the one who desparetely needs help..by the way, i AM a God fearing Christian, & believe that He put me in this position for a reason, . Im using the resources God has given me & believe He will not let me suffer more than i can handle..your generosity will help me to still contribute to society in some way & help us stand on our feet again. Thank you for reading.

Need Holiday Help Please

Posted by WorkingMom524 on 2011-11-14 21:58:20

My family is in need of financial help this holiday season. My husband was recently laid off from work and my part-time job and our meager savings is not enough to cover our living expenses and afford to give our kids a Christmas celebration. We are just making it by as it is, we cannot afford any extra for Christmas expenses.

I do not want my 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter to be left out of the festivities this year and have no joyous memories to share with their friends after winter break. We understand the spirit of Christmas is not monetary, but our kids will still be disappointed when there is no tree, stockings, gifts, or treats this year.

Please help my kids experience a wonderful Christmas this year by donating anything you can spare.

Your goodness and assistance are much appreciated by all of us.

Thank you!

I'm currently working only weekends and keeping up with bills and school work and work is harded than i expected! and paying for Sarahs vet visits, food, treats, flea and tick medicine isnt making it ANY easier. My dog means the world to me and giving up on her isn't an option! i wouldnt know what i'd do without her!

So any donations to help keep my dog would be greatly appreciated!

Please Help Me Leave My Schizophrenic Abusive Husband

Posted by Karma2678 on 2011-08-15 18:58:17

I am truly ashamed that I have to beg for help. That being said I do not know where else to turn for help. I am praying that there really are people who care enough to help others who are suffering.

I have been a loyal and faithful wife for 15 years. I've been with the same man for more than half of my life, as I was married very young. We have a 14 year old son and a 10 month old daughter. I would do anything for my family and I have tried for years to keep our family together. All I can say now is that enough is enough. My husband is diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic. It has been extremely difficult dealing with his illness, but now it has become impossible. I've put up with him cheating on me, lying to me, him having alcohol problems, losing his jobs, his controlling behavior etc.. etc.. His illness causes him to believe that everyone is out to get him. He believes his home is bugged by the government as well as his phone. He believes they are tracking him in his vehicle. He believes he gets messages from God through the television and radio stations. He is see's and hears things that are not there. Many times he won't have a normal conversation with me unless we go outside and he runs the lawn mower so no one can listen in! I have tried to get him help and he's been hospitalized and medicated, but it does not help all his symptoms. I know that when your spouse is ill you should stay and take care of them, but I just cannot continue living this way. He is medicated at this time, so he isn't hallucinating. What he is, is extremely controlling. He moved us out of the apartment we were living in after my mother died last year. He moved us in with his mother, who has always disliked me. She treats me horribly. He stays gone all of the time and I am stuck here living in a garage. He has the only vehicle and he controls all of the money. We live in the middle of nowhere so I can't even walk to a gas station. He has alienated me from my friends and my family has all passed away now. All I have besides him is my two children. I would love to be able to work outside the home, but its impossible to do so without a vehicle and childcare. He knows this and just will not allow it.
My only hope is that enough people will understand what I am going through and have pity on my children and myself. All I wish to do is obtain enough money to get on my feet and get out of here. I will then gladly work as I was a Medical Billing Specialist. I will take care of my children and myself.

What I really need to do is move my children and myself into an apartment which runs on the bus line. This way I will be able to take the bus to work each day. After some time I will be able to save enough money to purchase a decent used car.

In my area a two bedroom apartment starts at $550 per month and a 3 bedroom apartment starts at $775 per month. Before I can move I need first and last months rent ($1550 max). $150 for Electricity Deposit. I am estimating that I would need about $500 to pay for a U-haul truck and a couple of guys to help move me in. I also feel that I should not move until I have my next months rent, grocery money and a little extra for miscellaneous expenses ($1275). So, it looks like as soon as I can come up with approximately $3500 my nightmare will finally end!

The good news is that I do have an old co-worker who is in charge of hiring at a medical billing office in my area. She is holding a position open for me in which I will earn $600 gross each week. I know its not much, but I should be able to manage on my own as long as I budget wisely. I should also be able to receive child support payments for my two children at some point in the future.

If you have the means to help my children and myself I plead with you to do so. You would be dramatically changing the lives of three people in a very positive way. I promise that I will never forget any help that I receive and as soon as I am in the position to do so I will pay it forward.

Thank you in advance for considering my request for help.

Want to start business baking pet treats

Posted by monicadevon on 2011-01-19 17:58:58

I don't where else to go. I was laid off in May 09' and I have been struggling to get back into the work place. I want to make homemade dog/cat treats but I need start money. It will only cost about $200 for licenses and supplies. My savings are gone and NEED help to help myself. I thank this site for existing, maybe this wll be my saving grace.
Hello everyone,
I am a young man aged 25yrs,living with parents or rather at their mercy.I completed my education by securing a Master's Diploma in Advanced Biotechnology and was previously employed as a Business Development officer with a Pharmaceutical concern. But things had never been easy with me.

The company I worked used to exploit my abilities vastly and I was paid only USD 1800 a year. They also delayed every incentives that was earned by me,eventually this led to a aversion for the job and the company I worked for and I did Quit it a couple of months ago. They are yet to pay me my dues........

I always had a dream to become a big entrepreneur someday and always had thought I would develop and venture the family business into new arenas where there would be lots of revenue. But my Dad never consents to my ideas and treats me as if I am a retard. He always challenges me to begin a business on my own and generate revenues greater than him in order to prove myself.

Hence my financial freedom is at great stake now........even after being educated and having been honest in the way I lead my life I have lost the basic essence of living a life being separated from my financial freedom, career and the Entrepreneurial dream which is now desperately begging your help.

My idea of Business: my nation of stay is a large agro-based economy. The major percentage of its revenue comes from agriculture. The most needed product in the agriculture industry is Fertiliser. But the Government is now encouraging the use of Biofertlisers more. Many big corporate houses has already ventured into this market and earning the profits. But as is the way,in the very competitive market of our country two things say the final word : Money and Hard Work.......the market demands and the supplier has to deliver, quality and high price doesn't finds the buyer nor does smart ideas.

Now for such an Industry, money is needed of all things even to step out a little and so long I have found no concerns that is ready to lend money without some conditions like:
1. Mortgage of Property:I don't have any,I am a little more than a slave for my parents.
2. Credentials form a past Business: If I really had a Business of my own,I wouldn't have went to ask money from a lender.
3. Smart Business plan: I have made many plans but none of them seem to satisfy any investors who always looks for whats in it for them........I am tired convincing them honestly and I have no money to build a flawless project report from experienced consultants.

Hence,my last resort is here,to grab a pan and beg a fortune.Gentlemen,I know the amount I ask for might be enormous except for the lucky millionaires and billionaires who spends such an amount overnight partying or buying an expensive vehicle for their near and dear ones........but it is also true that this amount can change an unlucky man's life forever.

I am not the kind of person who would login every other day and spam the net with heart breaking stories and ask someone else to pay my bills for eternity.........

I am someone who wants to take control of his own life that had been massacred by misfortune.

For that,I need your help now.........any benevolent person who had been blessed with wealth and opulence please help me take control of my life. For me it would be a miracle and as my last resort,I would be convinced that there are kind souls still on earth for whom money is not everything but greatness is.

I have no Paypal account as of now, please find me at this email address here : don2028@gmail.com,if you think you can help this beggar here.

May the Almighty bless you with all luck and prosperity,

Regards,
Unlucky1.

A Father's Plea

Posted by w106glm on 2010-09-03 16:58:58

I live in Miamisburg Ohio with my wife and four young children. The youngest of which was just born on August 26th, 2010. As I write this message, I can't help but feel a wave of guilt and a sense of failure wash over me, because of the intent that this message is being sent. It is, boiled down to it's essence, simply electronic panhandling.....nothing more nothing less.

My wife and I are both college educated and employed, but find ourselves still living paycheck to paycheck. We are not poor and are not in desperate need, there are many hundreds of thousands of others that need more than us, but I can feel the weight of financial burden crushing down upon my shoulders. I do not wish to be rich, famous, or otherwise well off. But I do want to provide for my family, and to have the luxury of enjoying the day to day moments without the fear of financial uncertainty always looming overhead.

I would like to offer a glimpse into our family lives and finally get to the heart of this email....the begging. My wife holds a Master's degree and is employed as a Teacher in the Miamisburg City School district. She teaches a class of moderately to severe multiple-handicapped children. I honestly do not have a clue how she manages to do what she does. She is consistently given the most severely mentally and physically handicapped children because she has a way of reaching these children and getting more out of them than anyone thought possible. I can't count the number of times I've seen her crying as she reads an email from a parent of one of her students as the parent thanks her because they have been able to witness their child smiling and playing in the same manner as his or her typical peers would do. She truly is my hero for the gracious way that she treats these children with kindness and respect even as she comes home every day after being thrown up on, bitten, spit at, urinated on, or any other number of things that happen on a daily basis because of the severe nature of these kids' disabilities.

As for myself, my profession is not nearly as noble as my wife's, I do hold a Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering. I work for a company that does research into air breathing supersonic combustion.

We have four young children, an 8 year old daughter, 5 year old son, 2 year old daughter, and a new baby boy who is only a week old.

This is the part of the message that pains me to write, and I'm not even sure how to go about it. I'm far from an eloquent wordsmith as it is, so to figure out an articulate way to beg for help, is a tough task. So, I'll just be direct and to the point. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, but the magic number that I am asking for is $60,000. That is approximately the amount that my wife and I owe in student loans for the educations that we have received. This would relieve a large amount of debt that we have accrued while trying to better ourselves and provide for our families. We don't have any other credit card debt due to extravagant overspending, as we have always tried to live within our means.

We are middle America, and we ask for your help!

Thank you for your time, and I hope that this message finds you and your family well

Trying to get me and my children a better life

Posted by dixiechick952 on 2010-07-18 02:58:58

Right now I live with my "boyfriend" who is emotionally abusive to me. I have 3 young children, and although he treats them very well, they do see his abuses towards me. The problem is that I am in a town away from my family. I know noone and I really need the money to get out of here. I am in college and with the economy as it is I can't seem to find a job that pays well enough that I would have extra money left over from paying for daycare. I would greatly appreciate ANY money that you could send to me. Any amount will be saved and used to go back home where my family is and start a new life that is better for my children and I! Thank you so much! God Bless You

Every Boy Should Have a Dog

Posted by ProjectPuppy on 2010-07-05 16:58:58

http://www.project-puppy.com/

For a loooooong time, I’ve wanted to adopt a puppy. We couldn’t have one when I was a kid (allergies, parents, etc.), then for a long time I lived in the city. I know, I know, there are plenty of city dogs and it’s quite possible to give them wonderful lives, but I just wasn’t sure my lifestyle would allow for that. Personally, for my ambition as a dog caretaker, I resolved not to seriously entertain bringing home a canine companion until I had a fenced yard that he could enjoy and relax in without being leashed or strictly supervised. Just under two years ago, I moved into my very first house, with a great big yard and a nice tall fence. Perfect, right?

Seemingly, yes. At first, the house needed a lot of work. The previous occupants had kept dogs, but were not terribly responsible about it. So, there was a lot of rehabbing to be done to floors, walls, woodwork and carpet. I really wanted to bring a puppy home, but I had to do it right. Have the infrastructure and resources all in place, really set us up for success, y’know? The plan was to adopt near the beginning of summer vacation (I’m a teacher), so we’d have plenty of time to bond, and train, and acclimate and play and socialize and... you get the picture. Things were looking good, and then... I lost my job.

Again, not wanting to leave the door open for failure, Project Puppy had to be postponed. I have a second (and now a third... and half a fourth) job, and some savings and other resources, so it’s not like I’m in real danger of becoming homeless. BUT, taking on additional, non-elective expenses right now wouldn’t be fiscally responsible. Unless, of course, I have help; that’s where you come in.

It occurs to me, that oftentimes in the community of dog lovers, that when someone has a litter or finds a stray or has to move, and looks to place their pooch in a home rather than abandon them to a shelter, they reach out to their networks of friends and fellow-dog-lovers. So often I’ve overheard the phrase, “Ohhh, I’d love to, but...” don’t have the space/money/time for another dog, the wife/husband/landlord would kill me, I’ll ask around... I know that many donate generously to the ASPCA and various rescue organizations, on top of whatever is spent providing furry friends with toys and treats galore. I thought that perhaps, some of these dog lovers who have already filled their own homes to capacity with paws and leashes, might be willing to contribute to keeping at least one pup out of “the system” and in a comfortable home; and Project Puppy was born.

If you’ve got the dime, I’ve got the time. The house is in order, the backyard is all set, I’ve done a fair amount of research and dogsitting. I’ve got a small network of dog-friends to socialize with and a reliable de facto sitter if I should ever need to travel out of town. The last missing piece is the available fundage to provide food, equipment, vet care, etc. I figure if I can scrape together $1000, that should be adequate for a years’ worth of normal care. Maybe a little more, considering the initial outlay of bowls and a leash and a bed. If you support the cause, and care to throw a dollar or two in the pot, I’ll squirrel these funds away specifically for this purpose, and every little bit helps. Like child support, except this child is kinda hairy and has really harsh breath and I will never ask you for a paternity test. If you can’t afford to donate, but know someone who would, maybe you’ll forward them a link so they can come read?

That’s about as far as I’ve thought this web plea through. My owner taught me not to beg, but I’ve a feeling that if enough people just read this site, I won’t need to. I’ll keep the site updated with how close we are to the goal, and hopefully once we succeed, pictures/videos/updates on the little guy’s progress. Thanks for your time, and your generosity!
