I dropped out of school in '03 went back to a technical school in '09 where I got on the Dean's list with a 4.0 GPA in pharmacy but now I want to take it a step further and go back to the University of Texas and get a pharmacist doctorate. The thing is I have a past school bill I didn't even know existed! I thought I had paid it off but it was so long ago I can't remember. So it's $773 and if I can get small contributions towards that and to start off my new school year I'd be completely appreciative forever! Plus I'm paying off my technical school loan myself which is making things hard. Thanks for listening :-)

I Need some help with school. Because I feel that I will be able to make to most use of any donations to continue my fulfilling my dream and become the first in my family to complete college. In my immediate family there is yet to be a person that has completed college. All of the stories of my family are the same, starting college but never completing. My Mother started college but stopped going to take care of my grandmother who fell ill. My sister started college majored in nursing but never completed her education. My father began college, but decided the military was a better fit, thus he never completed his education, always working to make ends meet. My brother went to a technical school, never having any interest in attending college, but never completed. My brother got into trouble after this in and out of jail following in his friend's footsteps, guilt by association was his story and I was determined not to follow in his footsteps. I attended college for nursing but never completed, like the rest of my family, these donations will help to break free of the cycle that has plagued my family.

If you cannot donate money prayers are appreciated, can never have too many of those.

I am supporting a family of seven, with no job. I had to leave my job 19 months ago because of death threats. My corporate office denied my using the police or any other avenues to resolve the issues I was having with ex-employees I had to let go, so I decided to quit my job in lieu of being murdered. I worked in KC, MO on Troost Avenue, where there was literally a murder every couple weeks within a few blocks. I did recieve unemployment, but the job market is extremely poor at the moment in my experience. I do have a degree from a technical institute, and a four year degree from university, here and abroad. I am not lazy or ignorant, just cannot support my family. Anything helps, I do not have heat for my house even this winter, the furnace went out and no way to fix it. My children are 10, 9, 8, 5, and 1 year old, four boys and finally a baby girl. Please... I have no form of bank account, and credit has gotten so bad I cannot even get a paypal account.

I wouldn't be here if it wasn't my last resort. Life has thrown me a curve ball I couldn't catch. My daughter and I have been living with my Grandmother since early 2010 when my wife abandoned us after being diagnosed with post par-tum depression and turning to a life of drugs a few months after giving birth to our beautiful Daughter. I wasn't able to pay the rent, utilities and daycare expenses on my own so my Grandmother being the loving woman that she was agreed to put a roof over our heads while I started attending a technical school to further my education and career so that one day soon I could get a better job and be able to afford things on my own. A few months into my schooling my Grandmother fell ill. She started having problems doing daily tasks and eventually was forced to retire early. Which left her with a small 401k and a feeble social security fixed monthly income. She no longer had the money to take care of us and the tables turned on us it was I that now had to care of her. In late 2010 she was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and needed an oxygen concentrator to breathe properly. No longer able to do regular daily tasks we all take for granted. I had to put school on hold to stay home to care for her and my Daughter. My Grandmother wasn't to keen on going to a nursing home nor was I willing to put her in one when I was in a position to help her as she had done for me, we also could no longer afford daycare for my Daughter. A few months went by and we seemed to be getting along fine but, the doctors bills were piling up and we were forced to choose between the mortgage and continuing doctor care for my Grandmother. As the months passed my Grandmother continued to get weaker no matter how hard she tried to stay active by playing with or reading to her great granddaughter. In the beginning of March she could no longer get out of bed on her own. I had to carry her to and from the bathroom, cook and feed her all of her meals and generally keep her as comfortable and happy as she could be. At that time we were 4 months behind on the mortgage and struggling to keep the electricity that her life depended on, on. On June 8 2011 my grandmother passed away. She didn't have a large life insurance policy which only covered her burial and some of the doctors bills. She tried to leave me her house in her will but, probate court is trying to take it away from us because the house is going to be in foreclosure soon, we are now about to be 10 months behind, and her other reaming debt (doctors, credit cards...). So I am here today to ask for various kinds of help ranging from advice to money. I am not asking you to pay the entire debt and the house off but, for maybe enough to put my daughter back into daycare so I can find a job and hopefully save my house. In the almost 3 months since my grandmothers passing I have tried numerous ways of getting my daughter into daycare so I could find a job and be able to support my daughter and myself and possibly save the home my grandmother so graciously left to us but, to no avail.I am begging you for support. I need advise as to the best course of action to appeal to the probate court and save our home. I need the money to pay for daycare for my daughter which averages $100 a week. To pay off my grandmothers remaining debt which is close to $5,000. Pay for representation in probate court to appeal our case and to get caught up or pay off the house, we are now behind 6,751.16 on a total left of 33,514.81, and to get current on the utility bills which I have miraculously managed to keep on for the last 3 months by selling all of my worldly possessions. I am in a desperate situation and I'm begging for help. Like I said I don't expect to receive enough money to pay all of the debt but asking for enough to get my daughter back into daycare so I can try to save us. I hope you can find it in your hearts to help in whatever way possible. It would be greatly appreciated by my daughter and myself in this great time of need. My name is Michelle. I have worked as an administrative assistant, a photographer and a web developer. I have also worked as a cashier and a food preparer in a fast food chain. It's not that I don't want to work, or won't. I have worked since I was 15.

Now, I am 34 and at the lowest point of my life. As I write, I am at the library, as I have no Internet connection at home - wherever that is most days. Each and every day is a struggle in this economy and have been seeking employment since I was laid off from my job November 2010 and was subsequently denied unemployment (technical glitch, I suppose).

Since then, I have applied for a myriad of jobs from McDonald's to administrative positions. Yes, I have landed a few interviews, but no call backs due to saturation levels of job seekers applying for the very same jobs I could so easily procure in years past. It use to be that I could find a job at the drop of a hat. Now, I am oddly lucky if I land an interview.

So why am I here? Because, to be frank, I am desperate. My home is in foreclosure. My gas has been turned off (I owe them $500). Without gas to cook or heat our water, we have little use for the house. We have sold what we had of any value to bring in a bit of money. The people (friends and family) who were able to help me before either can no longer help or are unwilling to do so. They have given up hope, and I am almost there, myself. This month, I have no idea how I will pay my car payment. I only owe $4,000 on it. I pay $234 a month. I bought it at $22,000. I have no income, and so, no bills get paid unless a friend is able to help me that month. We need transportation.

I have an eleven year old daughter. She has been a real trooper through all of this. I love her dearly and she knows I would do anything for her. I do what I can to take care of her. She always gets what she needs before I get anything. I am trying hard not to lose her. I have already lost one daughter due to this situation.

When I lost my job in November, I was 3 months pregnant. In April, when she was born, I thought I would have a job by then, but was forced to give her up for adoption since I was unable to care for her and no one around me was able to take her. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I had to make sure she was cared for and given a chance at a happy life rather than one of struggle. I do not want to lose my older daughter, too, but without my home, I certainly will. I simply have no place to go. I would have loved being mommy to two girls. I miss her so much. I will always have an empty space in my heart only she can fill. I only find comfort in the fact that I know she is safe and well cared for, and loved.

What about child support? That is a whole different story, but my daughter's father is attempting to terminate support on the basis that he has bills to pay, "other" children to support and a fiancee. The $50 per week he has been forced to pay is simply gone before it hits the card. Gas is expensive. So are clothes. So are hygiene products. My daughter needs things. I don't mean gadgets. I mean shelter, transportation, clothing.

Do I have a plan? Yes. I am actively seeking employment. I am $9,000 behind on the mortgage. Without my home, we are on the streets. If I cannot pay my car, I cannot sleep in my car. I am attempting to avoid living in either my car or on the street. I cannot get public housing or section 8 as the waiting list is over a year long wait. When I call the homeless shelter, the beds are always full with a waiting list. I cannot go to the YMCA since I am not a druggie or alcoholic and I am not in a domestic violence relationship. So, in the meantime, I have let go of my pride, humbled myself and decided to seek the help of others through donations. School will be starting soon. I need to buy my daughter clothes for school. I need to be able to provide her shelter.

My list of bills is short. The ones that matter, anyway. I have a $234 car payment, $55 for my cell phone (I have to be reached somehow), $75 for car insurance, and spend about $80 a week for fuel. I was notified yesterday that my home is in active foreclosure and am awaiting my court date. I need $100 for a truck to move my belongings and $75 to procure a storage room the first month and $65 a month, thereafter.

Please, if you are able to donate, I am desperate. I will be posting each week the amounts of money that may be donated, even if that number is zero. I will also post what the money has been used for and when I get a job, and no longer need assistance, I will cease to seek them. I will pay it forward when I am able as I know I am not the only one is this situation.

I have exhausted all of my loan monies out for school. I have about a 1 1/2 to complete school for my bachelor degree in Technical Management at Devry University. I will be the first woman in my family to get my degree. I really need someone to help me with my tuition amount of $2,500. Please

Hi I've been out on medical leave from work since 3/07/11 for my right foot. The middle bone was so far out I needed surgery for the terrible pain. Well my foot doctor and personal doctor both agreed, but the hold up was Met Life Insurance. At first they wanted to see it as a simple bunion repair, but it is not. In fact, the Podiatrist after consulting her peer specialists decided to place a cast around foot for a few weeks to avoid amputation of other toes later.So then I had to appeal for review, because all paperwork was not received by doctors on time. I went on 4/28/11 to Podiatrist for a return to work while waiting on surgery and because I lie upstairs and ave to hop down I missed the last step. My motor scooter is parked at bottom which i bumped into fell on ground and motor scooter fell giving me a spiral fracture on my right leg. I was rushed to ER..laid up 14 days trying to come up with $1000 deductible for surgery. The doctor worked with me, because the surgery could not wait. I just had the surgery last Friday. I am two months behind rent, which I pay $650 per month plus late fees. My car note and insurance is behind, which I owe $800 for car and $400 for insurance. I was ale to get emergency food stamps, but I have no funds. Now I will be out 6 weeks with my broken leg which required plates in the crushed tibia. All this is documented. I am still waiting for the review, but I will be evicted on 4/24/11. Please I really need an Angel bad. I never thought I would have to beg. I work Technical Support with one of the big wireless carriers and we aren't protected either from situations like these. Please someone find it in their hearts to help. All through my life I've help others...sure wish I could find an Angel of my own now...Thank You!!!

To Whom This May Concern,

I am a 51 year old man who has never asked for help from anyone before. I am only doing this because I love my family and as a last resort. My family has no idea I have posted this at this time.

My Situation:

I am married to a wonderful woman who has two children. (My step children). She does receive $117.00 a week in support. That is her only income as she is not working due to spinal injuries. She has already had a spine fusion and will have another operation soon as she still has spinal issues not dealt with yet.

My health is not optimal. I was diagnosed with Diabetes in 1989. I had a heart attack in 2000 and had a stent put into my left circumflex artery. In 2005 I had triple bypass heart surgery, Coronary Artery Disease and Diabetes run in my family. I do not have health insurance right now and so I have not been able to see a doctor for my conditions in a couple of years now. I should be on two types of insulin, long-acting and short-acting. I should also be on medications for my heart, blood pressure and cholesterol. I can not afford these so I haven't even bothered to try and get scripts for them. I fear that this is beginning to catch up with me.

As I said my wife is not working right now. I am currently driving a cab and I am also trying to find a new job, but do to my health I have been working less and less. Also the economy & fuel prices have basically taken a big bite out of the cab industry. Very long hours for very little pay.

I also have two children of my own ages 21 and 20. I am very active in their lives and always have been. I still pay child support to their mother as I went into arrears due to the heart attack in 2000 and the triple bypass in 2005. I currently have a payment arrangement with the courts to pay this off over a period of time.

Here is my request. The bottom line is I do not make enough money to support my family(s) anymore. I am hoping that through this post two things could happen.

1. I am hoping that through this post enough people will see it in their hearts to help my family and I out through some donations.

2. I am hoping that maybe someone out there will read this and possibly have a job opportunity that will enable me to provide for my family in the way I would like to.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate cats and dogs that are on the high kill list for euthanasia, treating their illness if any and placing homeless animals into safe and loving homes, and not toward administrative costs.

Our family and dear friends “Lindsey Mlekush” & Amanda Hein have been donating food, time, medical supplies, under ground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite sometime now. We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own not for profit rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

Please allow me to offer some background into what inspired us to open Kandi Boo Animal Rescue.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

Footnote:

We are the parents of a 15 year old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and we also have full custody of our 6 year old grandaughter who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Once we are up and running with the rescue we plan to incorparate Autistic children as well as children with other handicaps into our program.


Twice a month we will have the children come to the rescue and spend time with the animals, these 2 issues are very near and dear to our entire family and community.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.

Please allow me to offer some background into what inspired us to open Kandi Boo Animal Rescue.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

I am writing to you on behalf of opening our new not-for-profit “no-kill” animal rescue organization. In greater Savannah, Chatham, Liberty & Effingham Counties

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate cats and dogs that are on the high kill list for euthanasia, treating their illness if any and placing homeless animals into safe and loving homes, and not toward administrative costs.

Our family and dear friends “Lindsey Mlekush” & Amanda Hein have been donating food, time, medical supplies, under ground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite sometime now. We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own not for profit rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

Please allow me to offer some background into what inspired us to open Kandi Boo Animal Rescue.

We were informed, through corroborated stories of animal rescue volunteers of many unspoken tragedies that were suffered by the less fortunate animals at the local humane society. Notwithstanding the tireless endeavors and good intentions of the animal shelter, the fact remains that these facilities are unable to handle the increasingly heavy caseload of animals that are being rescued, abandoned or
relinquished every month - and unfortunately, the only option that many of these animals face is euthanasia.

After being made aware of the heartbreaking plight of these homeless animals, we feel
committed to do something to assist these no-kill animal rescue organizations, which are committed not only to educating the public about the issues of animal overpopulation, and offering of spay and neuter services to help address this problem, but also to finding foster or permanent homes for homeless animals, in lieu of euthanizing them. Our goal is to help defray some of their ongoing rescue-related costs: e.g., imminent medical care, food, sheltering, and follow-up vet visits (which include prescription costs).

Over the past few weeks, the media has given coverage to the heartbreaking plight of homeless animals – people are abandoning them left and right as they struggle to make ends meet.



The situation has become acute, and although taking measures to help
control the overpopulation of animals is important (through spay & neuter programs), our hearts lie with alleviating some of the current suffering of those animals already born that are unable to help themselves.

As a frequent donor to numerous charitable causes myself, I am sensitive to the fact that during this time of economic recession, it is most important to reach out and lend a hand to those less fortunate than myself, including the animals.
I myself own 4 former rescue dogs, Lindsey owns 2 former rescues and Amanda fosters animals from other No Kill Rescue Centers until they get adopted into their forever home.

Our last former “rescue”, who came to us, a very sweet, but timid guy, who rarely wagged his tail, and was too shy to display much affection. Now – “Sebastian” “referred to as “Mr. Wiggles” by some of his female fans) - is the estate’s ambassador of love, and a huge hit with our guests – especially the children.

It would be wonderful to offer a second chance at happiness to many more of these helpless animals who want nothing more but to be part of a loving home.

And so the dilemma begins.

We lease a 3 bedroom home on a very nice property…however the owner of the property will not give us permission to build kennels for the animals in the high kill facilities. And we are not in a position to buy a home as all of our extra income goes to care for these animals.

That is where you come in, we are graciously asking if you can donate a 3 bedroom mobile home and possibly a spot of land in the greater Savannah, GA area.
Either or is great, but if you could donate both we could get started allot faster in the building process.

Everything we receive is through donations, we don’t ask for cash donations in any way, shape or form. Materials for building the kennels, dog food Veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical attention so on and so forth.

We are the parents of a 15 year old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and we also have full custody of our 6 year old grandaughter who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Once we are up and running with the rescue we plan to incorparate Autistic children as well as children with other handicaps into our program.


Twice a month we will have the children come to the rescue and spend time with the animals, these 2 issues are very near and dear to our entire family and community.

Taking care of Rescued animals is something we do best.

The animals we bathed, the food we have fed, the vacuuming we have done, and all to watch a frightened soul, sit dreaming in the sun.

We know they understand this, for in their eyes we see the love that we have given them come shining back at us.

Some people think we are crazy, some others think we are great.
But very few can understand what really is at stake.

If we can love and help an animal to find a better way.
Our lives are much richer, we look forward to each day.
