I have worked all my life and never asked for any help. I raised three children and never got food stamps, medicaid, etc. I am now physically unable to continue to work due to health issues. I know I am near the point of being terminated as I have to take medications that cause me to "nod" off or keep me in a fog. If I don't take the meds then the pain is unbearable. I owe $38,000 on a little house I bought. I was homeless for 2 1/2 years due to a layoff and I lost everything including my home. I don't have family or friends to help me. I am 60 years old and started working when I was 10. Lazy is not a part of my makeup. I don't know how long it will take to get SSD approval and I am scared to be homeless again. I don't have any savings or other resources to fall back on. I live on only the necessary requirements (no phone, no cable, no expensive foods, etc). I am missing too much work but the lawyer says I have to be totally off work before applying for SSD. I don't know how I can pay bills, not lose the home, etc if I am not working at all. I just need some help not to lose the house (it is not much but it is a home). The house will get me through as long as I will need it. I am just terrified of being homeless again. I have COPD, excessive narrowing of the spine, degenerative disk that are rapidly becoming worse (more than normal for my age), lose my balance, can't stand up straight, can't sit for long period of time, can't stand more than three minutes, neurological disorder that is causing me to "lose time" (can't find the answer to that one), need to stop driving as I don't know what happens during the losing time periods, episodes of slurred speach, numbness in my arms, hands, legs and feet. This is humiliating as I have always paid my own way and now I am facing this at my age. I need help and have nobody to turn to. I don't know if I wrote this correctly, begging is not an easy task. If there are people out there that really do help others in need then please read this with the understanding of what it is like to be alone in the world, facing being homeless again at my age. I need help with the house, utilities and just survival needs until I can get the SSD going. Thank you for your time.

First off I want to point out that reading most of these posts you can tell they are scams, they don't even type proper english. But this is no sob story of me loosing my house I am just looking for a good-hearted person possibly trying to help someone out. I am a 19yr old sophomore at college in Boone, NC. I am going to school to get a degree in elementary education and have to work 25-50 hours a week (on top of 18 hours in college, which if you ever went you know is not an easy task on its own) in order to pay bills. My parents have been split up since I was about a year old and neither have extra money to spare. Between tuition, car insurance, car payment, rent, food and cell phone bills I am stressed out and my grades seem to be slipping. I would just like a little less stress in this busy life of mine. This is why I'm posting here:

I am 25 and for my entire life, I have been fat. I don't mean this as in, a little on the chubby side; but obese. I can remember being in 5th grade, when our class had to get weighed and measured at the nurses office. The sinking feeling in my gut that came up when I weighed almost 200 lbs at the age of 10 is something that I don't think I will entirely forget.

Because of my horrible diet as a child (McDonalds, soda, you name it), I have spent my entire young life coping with being overweight and all of the horrible things that go with it: wondering if I'll fit in a seatbelt, wondering if I would break a friends bed or chair if I sat on it, or never being able to find a cute outfit to wear like all the other girls. When I was about 14, I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is cysts on my ovaries (contributing to my obesity, or as a result of, but they worked in tandem to make my life miserable). Without health insurance, I was never able to get this issue resolved, and with my poor diet, my weight increased. PCOS symptoms also include abnormal facial and body hair, which was (and to a degree still is) the bane of mine and any woman's existence. A woman should never have to feel so ashamed of her own body, and yet that is exactly how I've felt for as long as I've realized that I was different, and that looks mattered.

My highest weight as of 4 months ago topped out at 324 (thought I had reached 340 a year earlier but had lost some weight over a long period of time). Recently I began taking HCG (a hormone that helps regulate fertility and also helps with weight loss), and am amazed to report that for the first time in my adult life, I am 270 lbs. While this still is a lot, for me it is an incredible number to be at. Never in my life have I felt the fear of dying at 30 begin to be lifted, though I still have a long way to go.

So the point of my request: there are a lot of dreams I have that I feel like I am within reach of grasping. Some of them have already been fulfilled: I have been able to travel with my family, and this past year my parents helped me to finance a jeep. This is a huge one...I live on the west coast and have always wanted to live a surfer/beach lifestyle.

But how could a fat girl ever be a surfer? It's been my dream for the past 10 summers to learn to surf, with beaches only 15 minutes away. But every year, the fear stopped me, my weight stopped me, my inability stopped me.

I want this year to be the last year fear gets in the way.

With my weight going down, I've been trying to exercise. I've been attempting a modified version of P90X, and have been eating healthy and avoiding all the foods that got me where I am today. The problem is that financially, while I do work full time, I barely make enough to cover my bills (gas, car insurance, car payment, cell phone), and am not even able to help my hard working parents pay rent. So money for extras this summer is not really possible, but I CAN'T let another year go by without accomplishing this task.

I want to attend a surf camp this summer in San Diego, called Surf Divas. The problem? Surf lessons are expensive. I think to get me on the right path, I'd need at least 10 hours of lessons. At $82 an hour, thats $820.

The reason I want to fulfill this dream is to prove to myself and others that no matter where you've been, or how far your body is from being in shape, that the human body is remarkably capable of change. I would want to encourage anyone who doesn't think they are the right "type" to surf or do a sport that they can push their bodies to do things they never thought possible. And I sincerely believe that learning to surf will help me pursue my health and fitness goals long term, as well as truly set free the earth-and-sea-loving hippie that I keep snug and close to my soul. I live for summer and the ocean...and being able to ride a way would be life changing for me.

If anyone is able to donate or help support me in taking charge of my health and fitness...there would be no adequate way to thank you. I will send you a picture of me riding my very first wave as a token of gratitude, with a friendship bracelet made by me with a few shells from the beach strung on it. I just want to get these things paid off and get on with my life. Find ameaningless job that pays the bills and attempt to live my life out in a dark corner somewhere where nobodoy bothers me any more. i am at my wit's end. 90 calls per month from sallie mae. I can set my sleep and eating schedule by the way they call, once at 8:30 AM, once at 1:30 pm, and once at 7pm. Sometimes more depending on how they are set up, and from how many callcenters they are operating. I am depressed, hopeless, and unemployed. I have been looking through 2 HEARTBREAKING YEARS of unemployment, and my degree is useless and obsolete now. If things continue as they are I'm scheduled to retire about fifteen years after my 115th birthday. I am angry, suicidally depressed, anxious, hopeless, all of that rolled into one big human ball of failed promises, traumatic experiences, abusive relationships and broken dreams. I want to be able to heal. To get back on my feet and limp my way toward recovery, and that's how people can help me. I work for my father's company, and makes PhP 15000, or around $348 a month, which is not enough to support my new family (just got married and have a 2 month old baby). Can't get out and make money through other means since my parents discourages just the thought of it. They aren't exactly meisers/selfish, but being conservative means they don't have room to understand such a problem that I have. I currently owe RCBC (a local bank) roughly 2000 USD. Hello, I am a young college student who is struggling to stay in school financially and better my life. Growing up my family actually went down in class from working class to working poor. My old home was and still is in terrible shape. The loss of relatives and equaled loss of income sources, and the house just fell apart and turned into a hoarding house. As a child, I dreamed of having more and it was suggested that the way to upward mobility was through college. I chose to take this route, but I didn't realize how difficult it would be for a low income student to stay in school. If I don't get and opportunity to make some money while in school, then I can't finish.
I need a full-time 2nd or 3rd shift job, or I need part-time job where I am guaranteed at least 20 hours and $8.00 per hour. It is a struggle to stretch a financial aid refund check for literally 6 months to cover expenses during school and living when school is not in session. I need this job to be in Greensboro, NC. I am open to all job possibilities, but I need to not travel with this job. I have to just go to the job site, perform my task, and go home. I have many skills, but my best assets are my trainability and enthusiasm for learning. I also am resourceful and will adapt to whatever situation I am in. My husband Chris is a wonderful man. He will be turning 40 in August and I would love to surprise him with his dream car, a Mustang GT Convertable. He never, ever asks for anything, but he is always willing to give help to others. He forfeited college to take care of his ailing mother. When he was 21 he had a '93 mustang which he sold after his mother died so he could be more practical and be there for his father. His father then stole thousands of dollars from him and disappeared. When I decided to go back to college he supported me. When we had difficulty concieving, he was by my side, and had the task of injecting me daily with hormones. He went to work at night so that he could be there for our children when they were toddlers, as well as always being home in case they get sick at school. He takes care of the house daily, laundry, vacuuming, making the beds, so that I can focus my full attention on our children at night. HE loves animals and donates to variosu causes. When my family calls upon him for help with a project he is there. He stayed in the hospital with my mother day in and day out after she suffered an grand mal seizure during the hours that no one else could be there. I have never been able to give him an amazing gift to show my appreciation, and he so deserves something wonderful and out of this world. I will never be able to do this for him without the help of others. PLease, consider donating a dollar or two to my cause.

I am single dad to a young child. I was employed until March of 2011. I lost my job and am now trying to survive and support my son.

I live in Florida where the "Unemployment rate" is number three in the country and the county which I reside is number one in Florida.

Based on the statistics mentioned above, one can conclude it's a very difficult task to not only find a job, but to keep the house running while looking for a job, as it's a full time job trying to find a job.

Therefore, I am asking for some help to keep me going while on this journey of solidifying gainfully employed status.

My bills are approximately $1800.00 per month. This includes rent, electric, phone... It doesn't include food nor gasoline, which is very costly at present.

If assistance were available, I would gladly enter into an agreement to pay back some of the debt offered. If I could ask for about $3,000, I think this would help me support my son and the home for a little while. In fact, knowing I have a few dollars to make ends meet, actually helps present myself more fluently and articulately during interviews. I am probably too nice of a person. I haven't been able to find a job in over a year. Lately I have stopped trying. Mainly because I am not willing to live in this town anymore. It's nothing bad, in fact I'm sure people in general would be kind of happy to be in my shoes (except for the having no money bit...) My issue with living in this location as of late has been the few friends and acquaintances I have. None of the four or five people get along with each other, and all of them want to "hang out" with me on a ridiculously regular basis. I kind of have a hermit mentality so this frustrates me more than is probably normal... Anyway, I need a hand up to get out of here. I need a car and enough to fill the tank. That's where I am right now haha. I am really thinking being a vagabond drifter of sorts would be a step up. I am currently pulling in about 100 a month from various small task sites online, I need to just get my stuff and go really. The people who care for me do not deserve my apathy towards them. Distance will make all of my interpersonal relationships better from both sides.

I really like the new set-up of this place. Much easier to find people in need. A lot less glitchy too.

Anyway As for the general poor-me request: I am a twenty-three year old female with no real life experience that just really really wants to find some sort of direction.

I have been unemployed for roughly a year and a half. The first few months of this were incredibly hard as my boyfriend at the time had been out of work for about a year. As the months piled on though, I found that the motivation to work any sort of job had abandoned me. i had no reason to. Everything I (and he) needed was taken care of by mainly his family. I received about fifty dollars a month from helping out my grandmother. I eventually left my husband (for all intents and purposes) because I couldn't handle the stress of trying to balance the demands of my family with the day-to-day life with him (all while living with his family). I moved to my parents/grandmothers place (again) and lived out of a camp trailer in the backyard. After a couple of months I went kind of crazy and thought that a change of scenery would at very least motivate me into doing something for myself. I went to live with my sister and started to rebuild myself. Two months into that i was called back to my parents place to help them out again. Two days into that my grandmother died.

Anyhow, I have been living in my grandmother's old house for the past two months now. I don't need anything. My parents provide it all for me. (I really wish they would kick me out.)
I have decided that I do NOT want a regular job. I want to make a living online. Unfortunately that motivation isn't with me in any venue I can find besides the small task sites...

If you choose to donate to me based on this random outpour of words the money would go towards a bank account, a domain, and hosting. I could use a new computer as well, but I really would prefer to earn some sort of money when it comes to that.

Please i am Carl Santus. In January 2005 , I was part of the American elements of the 3rd Infantry Division deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom III. 1st and 3rd Brigade Combat Teams deployed as part of Task Force Liberty, headed by the 42nd Infantry Division, and later as part of the 101st Airborne Division task force.

On the process, i lost my legs. Right now i have retired to my country malaysia. But I am not finding things so easy. I have a family to take care of. training my children in school is not easy for me.


Please i need help. Any reasonable amount will be highly appreciated. God will bless you as you sow seed into the life of a needy.

I moved to New York from Texas to be with my girlfriend about 2 years ago. Things are working out real well and we would love to move to Providence, RI to start our new life together but we simply can’t afford to move there.


Living in New York City has been a culture shock for me (we live in the Bronx) and the stresses do not out way the positives. I really want to move but, we are just getting by with what little we both make, living in a dangerous area because that’s all we can really afford.


Let's face it, relocation sux. It is the most stressful situation other than dealing with a loss of a loved one. Renting a U-Hul, paying for the gas, finding adequate affordable housing and securing 2 new jobs is going to be tuff, especially in Providence’s market. Providence may have its shortcomings, but it meets our basic needs.



Although this is going to be a task for me to commute back and forth (almost 4 hours each way) to try to obtain some footing; I am willing for the challenge to provide a better quality of life for both of us. Call me a Southern fool, but I want to do the very best for my girl, for our mental health, and our future.



I’m not too proud to say that we need some assistance in getting there.

If you can even contribute a dollar, it would be greatly appreciated. We don’t have any family that can afford to give us a loan, so we are giving this a try.

BTW: we are saving on our own; eating lots of spaghetti, toast, and rice. If we don’t die from carbohydrate poisoning first we should be able to raise a good portion ourselves. We need to raise about $1500 more before our lease is up Feb 28th. All monies raised is going towards moving expenses, trust me….we are not asking for money to buy a new pair of fancy shoes or a new dress.


I know that this is a lot to ask from strangers especially, since there are other people with posts with more dire emergencies. Be that as it may, we still have our hope and faith that with your generosity, we can make this happen.
