I am a 26 year old female trying to make my way in the world. I am currently working as hard as I can to fund my starting my own small business. I have sold lots of my belongings but I am still quite a way from my target.

Things are really dire lately and I would love to be able to support myself where my own hard work = the business hopefully does well. My short term goal is to open a small jewellery stand. I have researched suppliers and am close to choosing a suitable one or two. My total start up costs are around the figure of £3200 and I currently have £900. I would be amazed if anyone kindly donated any some of money to me it would show there are some amazing people left in the world. I would be genuinely grateful for any amount from 1p its your hard earned money so thank you! I am absolutely not trying to fund the whole project from this and will continue to work as hard as I can to save however at the rate I'm going with all my rent and bills its going to take a looooong time.

My future goals are to work very hard to build the business so hopefully one day it will not only be able to support me fully but I would love to become a small employer. With so few jobs around, I realise its a drop in the ocean but every little helps as they say. I can truly promise that if I am lucky enough to do well in my new business and have more money than bills I will absolutely help others, both in time and money.

To anyone who has or will contribute to anyone at all on this site or other charity sites you are truly an amazing person and you give me faith in the good people left in the world.

It has been my dream for around 7 years now to have my own clothing company which I can pass onto my children in years to come.

I have put many many hours into the business so far to try and get things started and I have managed to get as far as getting a small amount of prototype tshirts printed.

I am now working on the launch line, which is where I really need your help! I have a business partner who is a designer and together we have been working all available hours to create designs for the launch line. We are really close to completing our launch lineup but we are really struggling to get the funds to put our launch line into production.

My funding target is £2000. The £2000 target is to cover the costs of getting our apparel manufactured and market it.

Once we have established our brand name and the company is doing well, we want to bring out a clothing line where all profits will go to local and nation charities.

99%? What about the 49%?

I do not believe I have any dedicated followers to this blog that I started about a week ago. I have added to the end of my blogs a donate button and I feel I need to justify the decision to do so. That is what this blog is about, and it probably should have been my first post.

It seems like there are three groups of people in America.

There is the rich. They get tax breaks simply for being rich. The philosophy is that if they spend less on taxes then they will invest it into production and buying stuff and it will “trickle down.” I am all for it if it works. But it doesn’t. They have had their tax breaks for about ten years and there isn’t anything trickling down my way.

Then there is the very poor. They claim to be incapable of working 40 hours a week because of mental or physical issues. They don’t get up very early in the morning, they don’t worry about the way they look. They collect social security, food stamps, unemployment and whatever else they can get for free. I know there are some people that legitimately can not work but I think there are a great deal of people that can and choose not to.

Instead of the 99% movement lets start a 49% movement.1% is uber-wealthy. About 50% pay no taxes and/or are a drain on our society. So that leaves 49%. I am the 49 percent and that fucking sucks! We can’t get ahead and we can’t get a hand.

Let me tell you a little more about myself. I work 60+ hours as a salesperson, which is non-commission based position. There are some things we can sell and if we sell it at a certain margin we can get a “spiff.” Unfortunately I sell building materials and not a lot of people are building right now. Also the the things that you can get a spiff on are high-end items that are difficult to sell in a good economy. I still try like hell though. In the interest of getting as many hours as possible there is no job I will not do or that is too menial. I will sell, I will work out in the yard and drive a forklift, do deliveries, stack lumber, shovel snow, sweep, empty trash, stock shelves, answer the phone,work the register or anything else that will keep me from getting sent home or laid off.

I started this blog about a week ago. I was looking for another way to make money doing something I enjoyed in my “spare” time. As well as working 60 hours a week I am also a divorced dad that takes his kids every weekend. So there isn’t a whole lot of time for a second job. I looked into the Ebay thing and realized I really don’t have anything left to sell.

Also looked into doing surveys. On average you can get a dollar for each 45-60 minute survey you take. I still do this occasionally. If I have time and can find a few that I feel are worth my time. Any little amount helps.

I thought I might eventually be able to monetize this blog by putting up enough content to get advertisers interested. It will probably take several months and a lot of writing before this might be possible. Until then I will keep the donate button on here.

My point here is that I started looking for a way to get my head back above water a week ago and things have gotten far worse since then. I went to the grocery store yesterday and in my estimation prices have gone up close to 25% on most of the things I buy. In a week!

And the price of gas....

My job is about a 25 minute commute from where I live. There is no public transportation where I live and I do not think a 25 minute commute is unreasonable. But even with a car that gets 28 miles to the gallon and gas prices being what they are it is a huge strain on the wallet. They are talking about the price of gas going up twenty cents over one weekend! I topped off yesterday in the hopes of saving two bucks.


I don’t have the answers but it seems like this system of government and politics doesn’t work. We elect a Republican for 4-8 years and when they fail to fix everything we elect a Democrat. They don’t make our problems go away either and in another 4-8 years we try another Republican and so on. Its like having two cartons of milk in the refrigerator. You take a sip of one carton and its sour, you take a sip from the other carton and it is sour too. So you try the first carton again. What? It’s still sour? Weird. Maybe we should try the second carton again....

Come on people! Can’t we get together? We need to throw out the rotten fucking milk, get off our dead asses and get down to the store and buy some fresh fucking milk!

I was already falling behind. Then it only took one small medical emergency and one car repair to put me even further in the hole. Between money I had to put up for office visits, medical procedures that had to be done, car repairs, and lost time at work it cost me over a thousand dollars that I did not have to spend. Now I am possibly facing eviction.

And I know there are people out there that need the money far more than I do. I don’t have cancer, my kids do not need a life-saving medical procedure and I am not living on the streets yet. All I am asking is that if you understand where I am coming from and you like what I have to say help me out and donate a couple of bucks. I am not asking you to “give until it hurts,” and if you don’t have it to give then I don’t want it.

If you can’t help me out by donating money, then help me out by sounding off in the comments and telling me how I can make this blog better or what I should do different. I openly welcome harsh criticism and all opposing viewpoints.

I am not looking for millions of dollars, thousands of dollars or even hundreds of dollars. I would be very happy with tens of dollars. Ten bucks accumulated over a week from several people would be a huge shot in the arm right now. If I made an extra ten bucks from donations it would buy me enough gas to get back and forth to work for two days. Or it would cover the rising cost of my grocery bill. Right now that would be huge.

Give what you can. Every penny counts. Or offer your suggestions or both. Donate some obscure amount and put that same amount in the comments or send me an email telling me the obscure amount you donated and I will reply personally to those comments and emails. I will probably respond whether you donate or not.

As my asthma is getting worse we would like to move out of the city. My husband & I both work full-time but only get minimum wage and after paying rent & bills there's very little money left over. We have managed to save enough for a deposit on a flat & the first month's rent but still need money for furniture & moving expenses. I’ve never asked for any kind of help before, and certainly not from people that I have never met! But my situation has become so desperate that I really do need help.
I have, for the last 15 years, struggled to make ends meet, following periods of ill-health, bad luck and catastrophic decision making. My circumstances are now very desperate indeed, and have even considered suicide.
In 1997 I suffered from a period of depression, that became so severe that I was forced to give up my job, and borrowed money to cover my mortgage and keep my house. Unfortunately the repayments on this ever increasing debt snowballed, and I found myself unable to meet my mortgage and household bills. I had ploughed my life savings into the home, and lost it all.
In 2006 I was approached by a friend, who was concerned for my financial circumstances, and suggested that we buy an old property, renovate it and sell it for a profit. I was desperate to make some money, and trusted my friend. I would refer you to full details of this in my Beg, as the project ended in complete failure having been ripped off by an unscrupulous builder. Work that should have taken 3 months took in excess of 9, and I ended up carrying out all the work myself. I regularly worked at the house from the early hours until well past midnight. The long hours left me exhausted, and in October 2008 I had a breakdown. I simply couldn’t carry on, and collapsed at work. My employer at the time was an unforgiving and vindictive man, and he said that I would be suspended if my work didn’t improve. I was afraid that I would lose my job, and under considerable psychological pressure from my employer I was forced to resign.
Following the failed business venture, which had plunged me into further debt, my breakdown and subsequent loss of my job, I simply couldn’t cope and pushed me into a long period of depression that became so severe that I planned to take my life. At the time I was so ill that I was unable to hold down a job, and this simply added to my woes - whilst out of work and undergoing intensive counselling I borrowed further. By the end of 2009 I was £15,000 ($23,250) in debt. I desperately want to rebuild my life now, but it is difficult to do so when I am saddled with a debt that is crippling me. Between 2009 and December 2010 my debt increased - there is no answer to it, and I will never ever me able to clear the £18,000 ($27,900) that I now owe. It is a debt that cripples me and prevents me from having a normal, happy life. I am 50 in February 2012, but have no future. Im in need of some help here's my story so far, I started my business in aug 2010 and I'm trying to invest more money into it I have been going for over a year with myself and my brother as business partners and have not taking a wage since it started. It's been very hard for us we sold both our cars he had a golf v6 4 motion and I had my supra to start it up also we had 2 thousand each savings from previous employment.
We are working hard in making our business bigger we are trying to advertise in our local paper and getting more machines but it's very expensive,we are handing out flyers every day but it's not doing to good as most people don't even look at them just bin them "like I do" thinking its just junk mail.
We are putting this on our facebooks and twitter to try and raise some money to get the business off the ground and give it the best chance for surviving. I have the ad from our local news paper where our work is and the business writer has put in a story on how we are trying to help the elderly on what we do. He is a very nice man mr kelly.

Just a little about the business, there was a community laundry which was Owned and run by the south Tyne side council and it shut in just under 2 years ago there was over 1000 customers on their books and were either very old,disabled or had children that were disabled. And have been left with no service since it closed that where we stepped in as my brother used to be a driver for them. The people the community laundry employed were people with learning difficulties and have since found no work we have made it our target to keep in touch with them as we have been doing for a year now and to give them back their jobs. I have a confirmed place to study Law at university next year, and will be the first to go in my family. I am on target for achieving the grades needed to go however there are the fees, living costs and the cost of becoming a lawyer afterwards to save for. I do have a part-time job, but I am on minimum wage and do not have many hours at the moment as things are quiet. Last week my hours only just covered my rent leaving £3.66 for the week. I will also have to leave this job when I go to university and worry I will find it difficult to find another in my university city. I do not have a local university so this is not an option for me.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I've never done anything like this before, so I am just going to speak from the heart. I am a 23 year old, gay, white male. I grew up on Disney. I believe that anything is possible, if you believe it to be. I have always tried to be a source of inspiration and strength for my friends. But my life keeps taking very negative turns.

My friends know a lot about the "adventures" I have been through in my life, but not all of it. They know that I have been homeless before, but they all assumed that I was staying at a different friend's house every night. They didn't know that I was sleeping in an abandoned apartment, a bus stop, a laundromat, and even under a bridge at one point. Being homeless is nothing new for me, but I am trying very hard to get back on my feet and take control of my life.

In an attempt to find a relationship and a home, I moved across the country to be (quite literally) a live-in sex slave for a couple whom I met on the internet. It seemed to go well for a short while, but they don't realize that they don't really want a third in their relationship. I have been the target of emotional and mental abuse for the past 6 months.

In November, I had a major operation on my ankle. I broke my ankle in 2006, and last year it began to deteriorate. Because of my ankle, I can't work a regular (read physical) job at this time. I have been searching for something I can do, even though I am not cleared for work yet. I am doing everything I can do, but the people I have been living with have decided I have to leave. I am doing everything I can to get together enough money to get back across half of the country to stay with some friends.

I don't have any money for food. The northern winter is killing me, as my clothes aren't really built for this weather. I still owe for the walking boot, cane, walker, and other equipment that I need for my physical recovery. I have to find a way to get somewhere where I'll be safe.

Everything that I have learned from Disney tells me to push forward and try to stay positive. I have done everything for my friends and family but they can't or won't help me now. I am asking for help, because I need to do whatever I can do to make sure that I will survive this winter. Thank you for your consideration. I appreciate any help I can get.

Hi, My name is Rob. I am a Scot by birth. I have been stuck in South Africa with my wife and 5 yr old son since 2006. We met while working for the same company and after 2 good years together in Scotland decided to marry. Our original plan was to come to SA to get married. My wife’s family is all from here and it was too costly for them to travel to the UK. Besides, the weather is far better for a wedding here. The currency was also very favorable.
After we were married we looked round and decided to give “the new South Africa” a chance. What a mistake that has turned out to be! The work situation for white people only held out until 2009. I am a self employed builder and carpenter with some 12 years experience and many successful projects to my name. My wife Lee is hunting for a job at present, she was retrenched in December. Due to the fact that we have legislation here in SA that denotes which jobs can be given to whites and which have to be given to non-whites. Here I fall into problematic territory. There are practically no jobs that I can even apply for! We have been surviving on small jobs to keep money coming in, however the situation for whites here is getting worse. As a sole trader I am unable to apply for tenders, quotes etc. This makes finding profitable jobs almost impossible. The jobs that come in usually get me around 100 rand per day (equivalent to 20 US dollars per day). It is barely enough to feed the three of us. Food prices are rising rapidly here. We are getting nowhere! The downturn here made short work of what savings we had. The only saving grace has been that we have stayed out of debt. I honestly don’t know how much longer we can stay that way.
You may be wondering where all of this is leading to, let me explain. We have applied for many jobs in the UK over the last 2 years. We have been accepted for several positions with included accomodation. As a UK citizen I can return with my family and work there. However, We cannot get enough money together to relocate the three of us back to the UK! Our target is 5000 US dollars. This will allow my family and I to get flights with some left over to see to emergencies. (with a five year old you never know!!!)

I work at Target making just under $8 per hour and i'm stuck in 1 Fifth Third bank payday loan and 2 other payday loans that is destroying me financially. I live in Michigan and am a tentant at Crossroads Apartments and while I have lived there for 11 years now i've fallen behind on rent constantly the past year or so. My landlady has had enough and is about to take me to court. If I can get just any kind of help at all to catch up with my rent, I can deal with rolling over my payday loans til I find a 2nd job to finally pay them off and get rid of them. Even 200 or 300 dollars will help! Anything! I'm at my wits end! :(

Im a 42 yr old single mom pregnant with twins. I had my tubes tied over 13 yrs ago and so this pregnancy is a blessing, but deffinately at the wrong time with the wrong guy. He walked out on me and is no where to be found right now. I am on bedrest because Im high risk. I have been unemployed for awhile and nobody will hire me in my position. Please help! 37 year old mother of a 5 yr old and a 12 yr old is getting a divorce from my habitual liar husband. I thought I married the man I would spend the rest of my life with, I had planned on only doing it once. I do not work right now. I was doing hair when we met and he wanted me to quit and stay home with our son until he started school. I saw that our relationship was heading downhill and not getting any better and decided I need to go back to school to finish my Bachelor degree in Business Management. I am hoping to finish up by July or October of next year, 2012. I want to open my own business so I can support my wonderful children and give them the things they need and some of the things they want. My 2 children and I, along with our 2 small dogs, had to move in with my mother, uncle, grandmother, and brother. We have been here for a year on Dec 10th and have been separated from my husband that long. He has given me very little money for support in the past year, spent all the tax return, took out a loan on my previously paid off vehicle and spent that money, and ended up getting me in trouble with a bad check to our previous landlord. We had a 2007 Dodge Ram Quad cab, I was primary on the loan, he was secondary, and he said he was trading it in for a Chevy Equinox, better gas mileage and cheaper payments. this was 3 months ago. I am now realizing, how can you trade in a vehicle when the other person on the loan never signed the papers? So now I have people calling me saying they are coming after me for the Dodge truck. I have no clue what I'm going to have to or be able to do on that.

He put a bunch of our stuff in storage when we separated, we moved to Missouri with my mom and he moved in with a friend in Iowa and then LOST it, so I don't have a lot of stuff I've worked for and had before we even met. The list of stuff he lost...5 seat sectional with chaise lounger, 37" flat screen tv, PS2 and about 12 games, Wii and 2 games, new surround sound, 5 disc stereo system, new bluray player, box of my season dvds like Smallville, Friends, One Tree Hill and ER, a huge box of my Disney VHS that I had been collecting since high school, nice new short entertainment center, 2 end tables, 2 lamps, washer and dryer, refrigerator, tall dining table with chairs, vacuum, electric can opener, butcher block knife set, corelware dishes, stainless steel pots and pan set, toaster, king bed, bookcase, desk, riding lawnmower, 2 weed eaters, etc. I probably could keep going.

I'm living on the good will and love my family offers and my small student loan refunds. I get NO child support. I am looking to pay off $15,000 in student loans, the $6200 loan on my Tahoe, the $1100 bad check and a couple hundred in lawyer fees, and the $1,400 Target Visa he ran up and let go bad. I need 4 new tires, an alignment, and a new windshield on the Tahoe. I would like to build my children and I a house in the next 3-4 years.

My goals...
~ Finish my BSBA in Management, end of 2012.
~ Thinking about getting my MBA.
~ Open my business, if you are interested I can tell you about it. Looking for potential investors. Working toward fall of 2012, may have to be fall of 2013.
~ Build my kids and I a house, which my mother will eventually come live with us. Right now she is taking care of my grandmother. If my business takes off like I foresee, I would like to build as I have the money so I don't have a mortgage, or put 50% down and get a loan for the rest.

I am an honest Christian woman and I believe that the bills should be paid first BEFORE you go out and blow any money on luxuries such as eating out. He eats out a lot!

Pardon me while I choke down the last of the pride-burger, and the Humble pie dessert. I am about out of options, hope, and faith in humanity.

My lady and I ought to be living decently enough on our income, you'd think - but it's just been one thing after the next after the next. Between cars getting sick, my lady losing one job to an injury, my own low wage... We're not making it, to be frank. At this point, I don't know what else to do - we can't get public assistance, not even food stamps, we gross too much. Nevermind that we don't NET that... We can't even answer the house phone for all the harrasser calls these days. We're often short on the rent. (Thank God that the landlord lets us make good late...) If we could get just a little help, in the grand scheme of things, we'd be able to be OK, to help others as we'd much prefer to do.

Here's how it breaks down:

Absolute best possible, turning backflips in the yard, what do you want I'll give it to you, anything short of our children where do I sign and do you want it in blood target: $7500 free and clear. That kills about all the debts, all the loans, fixes the van, fixes the car, rent is paid. I wish I thought it likely. I know, it isn't.

The We-have-a-fighting-chance level: $3250. Again, it clears the critical debts, gets the cars on the road. We have work to do, but we can manage.

The Take-off-the-pressure level: $1000. Gives us enough room to breathe, though Christmas will be lean.

I am terrible at asking for help. I feel like a failure as a person, as a father, as a provider. I'm sure most of the people here feel just as bad as I do. But I'm also clinging to the hope that somewhere out there is the person or people that will prove the pessimist in me wrong.

Fix my car for Work Purposes
To relocate to Dallas Texas for Work Purposes
Get my sick cat to a vet for blood tests to get her on the right medications.

My car is going south on me bad Catalytic Converter and Possibly a leak on Carburetor.
My ex fiancé (retired mechanic) is trying to do what he can with it but does not have the right tools.

I am currently employed as a demonstrator doing demonstrations at the local Safeway in Aberdeen. I need that car I cannot do demonstrations without my car.

The company I work for does demonstrations in Dallas Texas also there are more Safeway’s plus they also do them at Target and Home Depot again I would need my car.

In addition the company my sister works at will be doing a training class for Reservations Sales Specialists in Jan 2012, That I could do by bus, and eventually work from home. My sister is willing to put me up but it is a family of 3 in 2 bedroom town house with a big dog.

I plan to leave 10/01 with a rental truck towing my car. Another idea I had was to find a Class C motor home with a tow bracket on it for about the same as the truck rental buy that and drive to Texas in that with my stuff in it towing my car that way I would just need to put my stuff in storage and find a place to put my motor home for a while.

My cat Angel whom I have had for 14 years has been ill it may be Hyperthyroidism or Diabetes I need to get blood tests to know for sure.
