My daughter had heart surgery last year and I want to treat her to a sport that will teach her competitiveness, help her self esteem, allow her to have fun, and exercise her heart. Her surgery happened while I was in school and was very sick myself with Crohns disease a year ago. We were so bad off, I had to borrow money for gas to get her to the hospital. It was quite a humbling and intensely challenging past 2 years for her and I. Her surgery was successful. I have finished school and will be starting my new Job as an EMT June 11! I am also currently in new recruit training for a volunteer firefighter/ EMT position which will give me valuable experience for a paid position some day. It will also give me the opportunity to serve others. I personally love to help others and have done a LOT in the past when I could. I doubt this will be seen, but, A dad can have his dreams.

I am losing my home and have had my gas cut off. I was too ill to work for over a year. Quite honestly, I am losing it all. We have each other (My daughter and I) and improving health. During the process of losing her home, I want to have her my daughter pre-occupied with good thoughts. I want her to see that life will go on. She loves playing tennis, but I am financially unable at the time to help her pursue the sport. I would like to do it with her to build the father daughter bond and help myself get in shape to volunteer for my fire department.

In need of prayers...and donations. I have been battling chronic pain for about 8 years. This has progressively gotten worse and caused more horrible symptoms and is ultimately interfering with my quality of life. I REFUSE to take any type of Rx medications for pain. I have resorted to taking Goody's powders which only cause more issues but they are the only thing that offer ANY relief. I do not have health insurance and frankly don't really like going to doctors. I finally broke down and went to the doctor in early April and was told that I have adhesions (internal scar tissue) from a previous surgery that was causing the pain and needed a Lap procedure done to remove it. The cost of this procedure is approximately $6000. I have a job,, my husband has a job but neither offer health insurance and there is just no way with three children and our other bills to save up this much money. We have tried and every time we do something comes up and the money has to be used elsewhere. I just want my life back. I want to be able to play with my boys like I used to instead of only feel like laying around so that I don't hurt AS bad. I want to be able to stop taking Goody's before they cause more problems with my stomach. I want my life back! I don't even care if it's just a $1 donation...it's more towards surgery than I have now.

It is the first time of my life to acting this way, but we are so desperate that I decide anything to save my mom. We need help of any good soul to save my mom's life. She is 62 years old, a wonderful woman who worked really hard for her family for long time...she's has a diabetic rethinopathy in both eyes and doctors says she needs a surgery as fast as possible to save her sight. Unfortunately there is no technology appropriate where she is living, so she need to travel to have a chance to get appropriate care. And the cost of the surgery is pretty much expansive that we can not afford it by ourselves. She already lost her autonomy and every single day is playing against her. HI, my name is Michael. For the longest time I've been wanting to do something about my teeth. I can't remember the last time I smiled in a picture or go out for a meal without worrying about what I can or can't eat or chew. I would like to feel normal again one day. But at the moment that's the least of my problems with eviction about a month away we are stuck with two small children (2 & 5) and no money thanks to mounting bills and benefit cuts. Last year I was forced to leave my job due to health problems. I'm waiting to have surgery on my hip in a month or so and hopefully I can get back to work before Christmas. I have never done this before but I am desperate, I feel I let my family down. My name is Jason, I am 28 Years old and married with three children ages 7,4 and 1 month. When me and my wife married we were "given" my parents home in NY as a "wedding Gift"( home still had mortgage whcih we make the payments on) My wife and i have built a happy stress free life together, only to have it shattered, by drug addict co dependant family mmebers who feel since the home is still owned by my parents (although i pay the mortgage) they can come and go as they please. I have tried everything form asking them to leave , to having my parents ask them to leave, only to be reminded how its "not my home" and i cant make the rules. My wife and i are destroyed at the fact that anyone would tell us its ok that they are putting my childrene in danger or making my kids see there family members like they are. I have been to every bank possible in order to purchase this home from my family, only to be told that iven with anf FHA loan i will still need close to 12000.00 dollars to put down on this home in order to buy it, make it my own, and keep the people whos own selfinshness and obscured mental state is only adding to the destruction of a once happy home. My only other option is to move again from a home i love, that my wife and children love and move away from these people, or purchase the home (which was the plan originally) I now have a a family mmeber leaching off of us, refusing to leave because "its not my home" my wife is out of work on disability due to a recent surgery, she will be returning to work in the next 3 weeks, I have done everyhting for my family, dropped what i was doing at insane times of the night to go "rescue" my drug addict family members, emptied my chiuldrens savings accounts to "save" my drug addict family memebers, gotten loans in my name to save my drug addict family members, only to have it thrown in my face, I am the little borther who spent his life haveing to be the big brother, and i just cant anymore, all that matters to me is my children and wife and keeping them in a safe and stable home where they can have the life i did not,I know its a long shot and everyone has a sob story, but i have no where left to turn, please im begging on my hands and knees, forget pride i just want to save my real family, my wife and kids, they are all that matters to me. When my daughter was born in January of 2011 she had to be extracted via a fast emergency c-section. She had been engaged in the birth canal but she disengaged herself and the umbilical cord came out. The doctor was concerned that the cord was strangling her and took my wife to emergency surgery. My daughter survived and is now healthy. My wife developed an infection from the procedure and spent three months with a wound vac and endured two more procedures to try and remove the infection. In the time since I have changed jobs and moved my family back to where I grew up so we could get help with child care for both the baby and her 6 year old half sister from my parents because of the costs of day care. My wife can no longer work. I tried for several months to sell my home. When the opportunity presented itself I moved my family and ceased making the payments on the home I was trying to sell. It is now being foreclosed on. We are covered up with medical bills both from her past before we were married and also from the procedures to stop her infection and also credit card bills that are partially thanks to my ex-wife. After reading through this site I have decided that I guess I am not too proud to ask for help from compassionate people. Please contact me if you have any questions or thoughts on my situation.

Recently, I was kicked out of my parents house and dropped as a dependent. This means I lost all of my insurance to go along with it. I take many medications per day, including meds for migraines, fibromyalgia, bipolar and panic disorder, insomnia. However, the most important reasons I need my meds are for my endometriosis. I was diagnosed at 17 when I had surgery due to the severe pain I had been going through for years, and the doctor's comments were that my case was the worst he had ever seen - especially in someone so young. My most recent doctor acknowledged that I would need to have a historectomy early due to the endo. He also stated that I would need to conceive soon to ensure that I could get pregnant at all. I have been on Depo Lupron for a while but have not finished my treatment to clear up my endo. Now I do not have the money to receive the shots. I'm really hoping I will be able to conceive...

in a couple of weeks i will be homeless. after becoming unemployed two years ago i was living off money which i had from cashing in my retirement account. after taking a couple of months for leisure ( i hadn't had an actual vacation, aside from a long weekend here or there, for the past 12 years) i was in the beginning phase of starting a small business. then i had a heart attack. i had surgery to place a stent in one of my arteries. it seems that i was born with a twisted artery and had been living with it all my life suffering no ill effects. according to my doctor artery walls are fairly thin and pliable when one is young, but as a person ages the walls thicken and become less pliant. when you combine these two factors with the twist of the artery, the result is a cutoff of the flow of blood to the heart. my doctor said that had i waited another day to come into the hospital, i would have died. while the surgery left me weak, it was the anti-rejection medication that i was on which was the problem. it left me so tired and weak, that after a walk to and from the local bodega just two blocks from my apartment , after i walked in the door i had to lay the bags down and sit and rest for a half hour or more, before i could put groceries away or even thinking about standing up and preparing food. quite a change from when i was biking 5 miles a day/ five days a week and lifting weights several times a week. my bank account was swiftly drained due to the cost of the hospital stay/surgery, and to the cost of medications ($130/month).
once i was off the anti-rejection meds and feeling well enough to work, i began searching for a job seeing as my hope of starting a business drained away with the money in my bank account. but unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, i have been unsuccessful in my search. i am now virtually penniless and am being evicted from my apartment. i am have sold off what few possessions i have in order to have some cash to buy the things i need for living on the streets, but the accumulated amount came to less than $100.

Hello. I lost my job when my daughter with spina bifida got severly burned at her fathers house and she had to go into the hospital. I had to call in less than 2 hours before my shift, and they said if I didnt show up for my shift I would be a no call no show. Im sorry but my daughter comes first. That was 2 months ago. I have been viligently looking for a job since, and finally found one. It is to start on may 21st. To answer eveyones first question, I have pawned my tv and wii to get gad money to look for jobs, and to get my daughter back and fourth to drs appointments, and to get myself back and fourth to drs appointments and surgery, as they are 95% sure I have breast cancer. I will know for sure this week. I tried to take out a title loan, but they wont let me due to no income. I am at the point where begging is my only option as I have no family or friends that can help. I have asked the labor workforce and community action, salvation army, ect, and they cant help. I am nit asking for it to be just given, just a loan til I get paid. If anyone can help, even 5 dollars, it would help. Thank you so much.

Hello...I desperately need your help. My fiance and I have been together for the last five years. Three years ago he was working as a volunteer coach for a soccer team and the school he used to teach at. One day in soccer practice he jumped for a ball, lost his footing, and fell on his neck. He fractured a vertebrae which left him in excruciating pain. To make matters worse, as the bone healed it left a bone spur at the base of his head that pushes on the nerve bundle next to his brain stem. Gradually, as the spur grew bigger it made him paralyzed from the neck down. We have obviously put our wedding on hold to deal with this unfortunate fate. I work three jobs just to make the minimum payments on his medical bills and I take care of him whenever I am not working.
Because of the proximity of the bone spur to his brain stem, no doctor in the U.S. will touch it to operate on it. However, we have consulted with a doctor in Germany that practices surgery like this every day. He says with the surgery my fiance would be able to regain the use of most of his body with a lot of intensive physical therapy. But...the surgery costs right around $25,000 which might as well be 25 million. I spend every penny I make just barely scraping by. I know this surgery would give him back his freedom and his ability to live the way he always dreamed. Please help us...every little bit counts. I appreciate anything you can do.

If I don`t get some help with some money for food , bills and just daily living to help me get back up on my feet I`m so scared for my family and I & everything I fought for for years will be for nothing . I am down to some days choosing breakfast lunch or dinner or a roll of toilet paper or gas in my car to get my children to school and am I going to have enough to get them back home . Things have got that bad . Look , I have tried my very best all I have ever wanted was a home . I and had my first child at 16 . I am still married to the same man today. We went on to have 4 children . My last two are still at home they both were born with disability`s . We always loved them and taken care of them . My husband always worked was a great worker and provider until 12 years ago when he was in a near fatal wreck and ran off a mountain in Georgia . He tried to go back but , couldn`t After years of many , many hospital stays and therapy 7 years ago he was well enough to stay with the 2 children for me to go to work full time only 3 years ago Surprise . I had to have emergency open heart surgery with another surgery 1 month later then a lung collapse soon after that . I did go back to work but , everything went down hill after that . I kept fighting and struggling until I had to give up in Jan 2012 . I `m waiting to see if I can get approved for my long term disability that I have paid in these 7 years but they say it may be July IF they carry me . So right now I`m in dire straights . I have done all this on my own . I DON`T KNOW THAT THINGS CAN GET WORSE . But , I never know anything from day to day . I never in a million years thought I would have to ask anyone for help much less online . I`m a private person and I feel embarrassed to have to do this but , a lot of times in your life you have to humble yourself . I thought about it and I saw and read about George Zimmerman we all know who that is he gets to kill someone a kid shoot them in the back not get arrested then set up a sight and get over 200,000 and when they do arrest him claim he has zero money . You know something is wrong with this picture . The parents of the child should get that but , that's not my call. because I need to understand just like me people did open their hearts and even thought people like him needed help .I`m not the one to judge . I just need to get out of a hole . I just need some compassion . I need to be able to get ahead and really be able to go and buy shampoo , soap , soap powders , food , gas , and pay some bills and get what is necessary to be able to continue to live a regular just a simple life and my children or husband won`t have to suffer or worry until I can get my long term disability started .

I am seeking help to pay for my son's college tuition and associated fees. My son has been accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It is an honor for anyone to be accepted to this esteemed institution, however my son's story is quite exceptional. When he was 10 years old, he nearly lost his right arm due to a post-surgical bleed. He was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder known as von Willebrands. He has been left with a disabled arm and hand. He only has use of his thumb on his right hand. His childhood was comprised of surgeries and infusions. When he was 12 years old, he asked if he could buy a guitar. He was so happy because he had seen Tommy Emmanuel playing guitar with a thumb pick on television. He purchased the guitar and began working on a technique to play. He can only use his thumb to pick the guitar strings and must hold his fingers in a special position so that he does not mute the strings. His goal since age 12 has been to study at Berklee. It is an honor to be accepted to such a fine school. Despite a severe disability he has been able to achieve this remarkable goal. Financing his education is going to be extremely difficult. Berklee is an expensive college and scholarships seem scarce. If you know of any scholarships that would be available for him please let me know. After caring for the past 5 yrs. for our moms, our son and his 3 kids under the age of 5, we have used all our resources.My husband has been in the hospital every year for surgery. Stents, quadruple bypass, and others. Having 6 other people to care for, our utilites tripled and the food budget was unbelievable. Keeping thelights and hot water running was so hard. It got so bad, that we did lose electric for 3 months. Our only hope is to file chap.7 and chap.13.
