Post a Beg Now!

I'm just really hungry and exhausted.

Posted by cp030190 on 2012-05-23 14:58:06

I'm a single mother and a full time college student with a part time job. I make roughly 240 dollars a week. This month I paid a rent bill, electric bill, water bill, car payment, auto insurance bill, Internet bill, and had to buy baby supplies along with the normal household necessities such as dish detergent, clothes detergent, soap, toothpaste, garbage bags, ect. No problem! I usually manage to pay all of my bills by the grace of something bigger than myself. I don't know how I'm doing it. I've been doing it for over a year now by myself. I do without a luxurious cell phone and television. I have to have Internet for school. Thank God for Google and Youtube. A girl deserves more entertainment other than deciphering her 9 month old's poop to determine whether or not its lime-greenish hue comes from the peas she ate 2 days ago, or if a fungus is among us.

The thing is.. I am hungry. I am not Ethiopian starving, but I'm hungry. My last meal consisted of a pack of chicken flavored ramen noodle soup and 3 saltine crackers. The 7 meals before that consisted of the same exact thing, except I was so lucky as to add a few broccoli florets to the soup broth. I have since ran out of broccoli and ramen. All I have left in my food pantry is canned baby food, and oatmeal. I am down to drinking tap water and falling asleep at night to the borborygmus sounds that my intestines sing to me out of pure hunger. I am so very blessed to be able to pay my bills and provide for my daughter while furthering my education so that some fine day we will both be living like Princesses. I have counted each and every one of my blessings. However, food isn't among these blessings of mine. All I'm asking is for someone to treat a girl to a hot nutritious meal.

No Electricity is not fun.

I hope I don't have to go through that. I have until May 25 to pay my power bill or they will shut it off.

I have been unemployed for a time, have had yard sales and have nothing left to sell.

I make a few bucks doing yard work but not enough. Things should be turning around for me soon but for now, if I lose power my fish will die and I will loose all communication (ie computer etc..)

I am a huge believer in Paying It Forward and would greatly appreciate any help at all, and when I am on my feet I will surely help others that are in bad times.

I also need to get my thyroid meds by next week.
And I could use some help with buying some basic supplies for me and the cats, like food and toilet paper.

Thank you so much!

Diabetics need help...

Posted by YeS_Diabetics on 2012-04-29 18:58:47

Thank you for reading!

I created an online company that helps diabetics get the free lancets they need to monitor blood sugars (www.lancetrx.com). Within three months of opening the site (and one press release), I had an overwhelming response from Type I and Type II diabetics around the world needing this service.

My reason to reach out to you for a monetary donation (which I call "tips") is that everything is out of my personal funds. My goal if enough tips are received is to become a non-profit so I may receive donated inventory and add test strips/A1c kits to the free list (and keep this service ongoing for so many diabetics who need these supplies). Thank you for reading!

Need money for a house. Homeless.

Posted by BrittanyAnn on 2012-04-29 02:58:31

I am 19 years old, getting kicked out of my parents house. They want nothing to do with me. I have been trying to get a job for over 2 years now but I have health problems Id rather not speak of. SSI is something that could be an option but I dont want to live off of the system. I have a lot of problems and a lot of depression and stress. Ive dealt with things all my life that I should not have. Ive see things I shouldnt, and I am really messed up. I always wanted to be the one to help people and I am not the kind of person to ask for help, It hurts that I have to. My friend is 16, and she is getting kicked out too. Her mom doesnt want her, and she told me she is signing custody of her over to me. We have been going to different houses every week to stay.. Sometimes with people we really dont know. Were worried, and scared and we really need someones help. We need help! We want money for a house, someone is willing to sell their house to us for 400 a month, not including utilites. Plus the down payment. We also need money for food and other supplies or clothing we may need. This wouldnt be a forever thing. Just until we can get on our feet and do it on our own. Please.. we would apprieciate it. We really need the help. Someone help us before its to late.

Hi, my name is Mimi. I'm a 21 year old college student struggling to put myself through school in south florida and take care of my little sister. We have some family out of the state that sends money but most of the time its not much or they are unable to send money due to financial problems. I work a part time job as a waitress which pays mostly in tips which helps a little but I just found out I'm having a baby and will be unable to work soon. The babies father left me because he could not take the stress and his job just fired him but I think I can make it without him, I have hope. I'm not asking for much just $5 or $10 or maybe $20 for weekly bus fair, school supplies, and things for my first baby. I would really appreciate anyone who could donate to my paypal.
Thank so much!

Divorce, Lost Job, Anything Helps

Posted by foodforthought on 2012-04-24 20:58:52

My name is Lance. I am 39, and going through a divorce. Two weeks after she filed, I was one of several victims of company layoffs. I had been married for 14 1/2 years and working for the same company for 15 years. I put my wife through college, and never got my turn. I am trying to find a job, but in this economy it is tough. I am the primary custodian of our two boys, ages 4 and 8. My unemployment runs out soon, and I don't have any more money to fall back on. I need the money to help put a roof over our heads, provide food, buy clothes, cub scouting supplies, pay for gas, and help with other bills. Once I am employed, I will donate anything left over back to other people in need. Thank you!

This is an oppertunity for me to persue another career path in medicine. While in school and working in the indusrty I would those that are either training for emt working as, and I allways felt a little envious. I would love to have a career that helps save lives. I have tried police department, but I know I would be happier as an EMT.

The school I found is fast paced and at part time I can compleate the training in less than 14 weeks. This program would cost $2500 not including fees, texbooks, and supplies. I am needing help with the tuition. I hope I can either get it paid in full or most. I cant afford to pay it myself since I do have two kids allready, and working as a bartender. I do hope I can recieve some assistance for this. I would be happy forward any of the litterature in reguards to curriculum and fees this school has. This can even be a loan

Growing up POOR!

Posted by bertjohn671 on 2012-03-30 15:58:40

When I was a kid I grew up POOR, I knew that I couldn't go to my parents for
anything having to deal with MONEY. It was TOUGH! We went through HUNGER, NO
MONEY FOR OUR DAILY NECESSITIES, NEW CLOTHES, SHOES. I felt ALONE and angry
at my parents for not being able to PROVIDE for me and my BROTHERS. I

PROMISED myself that when I grew up I would not put my kids in the same
situation that I've been through with my parents. Well guess what? I was
wrong! I feel like I've failed my kids and myself. They know they come to me
all happy and excited. They say, DAD, DAD, DAD could you buy me NEW clothes

for school, shoes and school supplies? I would say YES only to make them not
feel the way I felt when I was a kid POOR! But, they know my kids would say
OHHH YEAH DAD, but you don't have MONEY! MY GOD I FEEL SOOOO SAD AND

DEPRESSED knowing my kids know that we're POOR! I hear them talking to their
MOM saying, MOM my clothes cant fit me for school anymore also my shoes hurt
my feet, their to tight! I FEEL SOOOO SAD for them! If I could only be

FINANCIALLY STABLE, I would be ABLE to PROVIDE BETTER for my FAMILY whom
DESERVES the BEST! We're TIRED of SUFFERING EVERY MONTH. I'm JUST TIRED of
LOOKING like a LIAR to MY KIDS when THEY ask, DAD where's our NEW CLOTHES

and SHOES You PROMISED? HELP ME PLEASE SHED SOME HAPPINESS FOR MY FAMILY.
THANK YOU and GOD BLESS ALL!

Please help with a wheelchair ramp

Posted by Trapped_In on 2012-03-23 12:58:20

On March 27, 2011 (my mom's 73rd Birthday) she suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke (ruptured aneurysm) She had her 1st & 2nd brain surgey within the next few days and she spent 5 weeks in ICU then 6 weeks in Rehab. She made a great recovery.

In Sept 2011 she had another brain surgery to repair a second aneurysm which she also recovered well from. In December of 2011 she suffered another minor stroke.

this time she is not recovering very well. she is having a lot of difficulty walking and climbing the stairs. She is physically capable of taking the stairs, however she is absolutely terrified that she may fall and will not use the stairs.

I'm unable to get her out of the house to go to doctor appointments and to physical therapy. We can't even go out to eat (mom's favorite thing to do) Since she cannot safely climb the stairs anymore we need to build a wheelchair ramp or get a wheelchair stair-trac lift.

With me missing so much work do to moms situation and my own health conditions I've lost my job. Unemployment barely pays my bills and moms social security covers her bills we cannot afford to buy the lumber required to build a ramp.... I have volunteers to build a ramp but no building supplies :( If anyone could help us even with $5.00 it adds up.

I've desperately been searching the globe for any resources whatsoever to help build a ramp for our home. any organizations out there want to put a lien on the home and mom does not want that to happen.

PLEASE HELP

Need help getting over the hump...

Posted by OrgPh on 2012-03-08 21:58:09

To whom it may concern,

Stated Goal: $2,000.00 (by March 21st, 2012) for tuition, books and some new pants to get my academic career going... Breakdown of $1,288.33 for tuition/fees, approximately $400.00 in textbooks/supplies for the quarter, and the remainder for some pants and necessary travel expenditures for the first month of school.

I know you have many options with where your hard-earned money goes - some may make you feel GREAT about shedding a few pounds in the wallet, and others will leave you feeling downright dirty. I know this, because I was once in your shoes; money in my wallet, left only to my vices as to where to spend it. I never felt right about just handing it over to someone who, in my opinion, would merely go drink it away, drug it away, etc. It's funny how life throws these things all back into your face sometimes, and as such I find myself in need and hoping that the right person(s) will have the faith to invest in me - that's right, I said INVEST.

I don't believe in a handout, but I DO believe that sometimes we fall a bit harder than we are prepared to do and as such are put into situations that we neither expected nor are comfortable with. I opened a business that was going rather well for its first 7 months of operation. Then, through an anonymous post from someone online that "appeared" to be from my company, me and my business partner got black-balled from the industry (VERY political/bureaucratic in that particular industry). When this went under, though, it took me and everything I own with it - my vehicle, my home and much of my personal belongings. Prior to that, I spent 11 years on active duty military status in order to protect and serve this country. Yes, I've earned the G.I. Bill and fully intend to use it for its designed purpose. TheMy defining issue, however, is that the Bill pays for school on a month-to-month basis, at the END of each month of training. For example, my school begins this April 2nd so I cannot claim my benefits until the end of April, which will cause my first G.I. bill payment to get sent out in early May. The school, however, requires payment up-front and as explained above, I currently do not have the capital to get started. Once I've started, the Bill will sustain me, therefore I merely ask for assistance in getting the first quarter of classes paid, including books. I have a great academic history, and this is truly where I excel. My purpose is to some day acquire a PhD in pharmaceutics and do research to find new and improved medications for the benefit of the masses.

As for the pants, I have two pairs remaining and both have holes in the legs and crotch. While these DO technically work for all intents and purposes, it gets a bit breezy on these cold days and nights, and is probably unsightly (at best) to any of my would-be professors who may not appreciate an instructor's-eye-view of these things. As such, I figure I might like to buy a couple of pairs prior to matriculation.

Thank you, in advance, to any and all who assist me on this endeavor.
**IMPORTANT** I know that a lot of people look at these and think that their donations won't do any good as the person posting will just get in trouble again eventually. This is NOT the case for me. Your donation of any size WILL help and I will MAKE it successful so you will never see me here again ;)
Please take a chance, knowing that what you give will have a real effect that will help me to help others!
THANK YOU!
They say these things should be short, but I will take a chance in giving you the whole picture. Thanks for reading!
In 2009, I was made homeless by Hurricane Ida in Virginia. That same year, I became disabled with COPD, sciatica and fibromyalgia. It has been a long, slow process of recovery, pain, poverty, and the accompanying humiliation. I have had to give up my car, my cottage, and my job.

However, thanks to the efforts of very dear friends and some self-made luck I finally have a stable living situation, and the strength to embark on a new career as a writer and self-publisher of Spiritual and New Age materials.
Writing is where I find my greatest joy, (followed closely by my painting) and my experiences have given me rewards of perspective that makes the challenges I still contend with somehow worth it. I'm looking to help others find the inner strength and hope that I found through my own crisis.

My computer, however, is almost 8 years old and between the "pages not responsive" and "Chrome has crashed", system crashes and stalls, etc it routinely takes me up to 3 hours to upload anything to the site. I have very limited energy, and this can take up an entire day.
The the age of the machine means that it is limited in terms of upgrades and networking.
I've learned and done all I can to keep it running this long, but now I need a new one if I am going to be able to do the kind of heavy-duty publishing and posting to make it in this field and become self-sufficient.
I am looking for $5,000+ to cover the following costs:
*computer
*printer/scanner/fax
*paper
*toner and ink
*website hosting for a year
*Domain Registration
*Non-profit status registration
*Dedicated phone line
*Art supplies for graphic design
*Photoshop software

Medical Volunteer Trip to Nicaragua

Posted by Volunteer16 on 2012-03-02 21:58:42

Hello, my name is Noah Bularz and I am a student from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. I am planning on going to Nicaragua in May with a volunteer group to help underprivileged individuals that reside there. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and gives me great pleasure to be able to go and help those in need. I need to raise $5000 dollars for this trip, which includes travel, paying those who house me in Nicaragua, medical supplies and also donations to leave in Nicaragua to help fund their medical program. I am doing fundraisers and asking for donations to help fund my trip. The money I make through fundraising and donations will be what allows me to go on the trip. Without your help, I will not be able to go. I appreciate any donation you are willing to give. Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it.

Young couple in love. Out of options. Completely exasperated. Scared.

I moved in with my girlfriend 2 months ago. I left Boston to come be with her in NYC. My work had run dry until April. She had just been evicted from her apartment by a slumlord landlord who stole her belongings. We were living from paycheck to paycheck. Supporting each other as best we could. We didn't have enough money to get an apartment of our own, so we got a one month sublet, which ended up being a nightmare-living in a closet with our 2 cats, and dealing with the scum of the earth roommates who made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and awful. During that first Monty, we spent our savings just living. We both work in the creative fields, myself a musician, an she an actress. Work was spotty at best. We borrowed money from friends and family, feeling terrible about ourselves every time. Mid-month, I decided to file for unemployment. (something i had never thought I'd ever do)
The money we were expecting from that would have paid her union dues, giving her a pay bump by about 400%. This would have enabled us to not only survive, but get on our feet and pay back our friends/family. About a week and a half after filing, my boss calls me and tells me I can't file, or he'll go out of business due to the fact he's never paid insurance on his employees. He convinced me he'd cover my unemployment pay (totaling $4,343) if I agreed to recind my claim, thus saving him tens of thousands of dollars in back-taxes. I agreed. As soon as I'd done that- he tells me his lawyer advised him not to do that, and that he never agreed to that in the first place.
I have now been playing phone tag with my unemployment agent for weeks trying to restart the claim, and have the state go after him for the money he owes them.
Meanwhile, at the end of January, we had to move again. We couldn't find a place in time, and ended up staying in a motel in Stamford for a night while we made appointments to see a few places. We awoke to the front desk and housekeeping ladies banging on our door, telling us we have to leave or they'll call the cops. We are still fighting Hotwire.com for charging us for that.
Luckily, we found a place that night. The expenses of having to move though, totaled over $500. (rental car, motel, storage)
The apartment we are in now is shared with 4 other people. It's a two bedroom. There are 3 people sleeping in the living room. There are cockroaches. We once again have to move out, by March 7th. We have applied for foodstamps. (they have yet to be approved)
This time around, we have no money to move with. Our resources have been tapped. We are out of options. Work is still spotty, and we have borrowed from everyone we know.
We have a week to come up with rent, cell phone bills, and moving expenses. Nevermind money for food to ear everyday. (as I type this, we are preparing to go out and sell some things for food money)
I have never been this scared in my life. I doubt that writing this is going to make a difference, but I have to try everything.

If anyone reading this wants a specific number that would get us out of this- its $5,000. Here's the breakdown:
$1,000 rent. (not counting a deposit)
$1760 my girlfriends union dues (which means she makes enough to get us on our feet)
$175 storage fee
$250 cell phone bills (it's a month late, an we're on the same plan)
$130 car rental to get our stuff out of the apartment
$40 rental car gas (they charge $9 a gallon if you don't fill the tank when you return the vehicle)
$1,000 for food for the two of us and cats' supplies. (food, litter)
And the rest would be to pay back some of the people who've already been there for us helping us along the way.

Please. Please help. We are a young couple in love. Scared. Trapped. Out of options.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you will find it in your heart to consider helping us.

Posted by emadawnliyah on 2012-02-28 18:58:58

I am a single mother in need of help I am still recovering from the loss of everything I owned due to a personal tragedy .My mama and other other family members also could use some help .I am in bad health but am willing to work for any donations as much as I am physically able to.It would sure be a blessing to get some of the things we need to get ahead to the point where we could have a better quality of life.My child is about to have a birthday coming up and I would love to be able to give him something .I am also about to move into a new place cause I am staying with family and they are no longer going to be able to help me for they are very poor themselves ,so I will to move out and will need beds ,houshold items ,and many other things when I move . I will list below .I am first and foremost in need of food my ID expired and I have had difficuly getting up to the DMV to renew it so I am not going to be able to apply for food stamps until I can get up there and renew it problem is I dont have the money to renew it .I worked my whole life until now and hate to ask for help but my health and personal problems with being a victim of domestic violence and failing health has been a real set back .I know some will judge me and think I am a bad person for placing this ad but that is on them not me ,I am just simply trying to get some help for my family ,I am not asking for cash ,or anything elaborate just things my family needs .
Here are some things that would help us out alot ,I have listed things for other family members as well that are in need due to disability ,loss of employment ,a fire etc .
