My kid brother is a 29 year old who is dieing from End Stage Kidney Decease. His Dr said the following:
that he is terminal, he needs help and I need help to provide for him as he has no income and can not work. He has been staying with me since just before Christmas(about three months after he was diagnosed), He spends most of his day dealing with hospitals and the nights going to dialysis treatments then back home. he is applying for SSI and SSD but still no word as of yet. In the mean time I need help to purchase the medical equipment his doctors have required him to have at home, also we need clothing for him as the last 3 clothing banks I have gone to near our home have had nothing his size. His diet is a dialectic renal diet and I can no longer afford to provide foods that meet it's stringent standards with out help. He dose not qualify for pre-SSI as he has no children. We have tried everything and now must resort to begging for help. We need a bed, bedding, a Fridge, clothing, activities(Batman themed), food, a new kidney would be nice. The list goes on, Please help If you can I can provide letters from his DR as proof.

A group of influential people are teasing me with words & statements. Am helpless. The teasers are teasing me with a super station sort device & this teasing from people goes with me whereever I go, wherever I am. I'm about to be 51 years old and never thought I'd do something like this, but here goes.

I am disabled from a car wreck with a semi, among other conditions. I was on disability for 15 years, but lost it almost 5 years ago because the guy I roomed with was always gone and was supposed to take me to my doctor and Social Security review appointments. Then he got us thrown out of the apartment because he had hoarded his paychecks, was living off my money, and wasn't paying the rent or bills. He left me with a $1600 light bill ! I didn't find out any of this until we were evicted.

I have been homeless ever since, for nearly 5 years, bounced around from place to place, unable to stay in one place long enough to get thru the Social Security application process - I had to start all over again. In 2010, I spent 8 month living in a closet in Columbus, OH and starved.

I had a Social Security hearing in Lexington, KY last August and was dropped off at a horrible homeless shelter in Lexington, to stay until my hearing, when I was assured by a 'free' lawyer I'd get my disability back. I didn't and now I've been trapped in this gulag for more than 10 months, among druggies, alcholics, and ex-cons dumped off here by the police and the Dept. of Corrections. The building is infested wih bedbugs and there is black mold everywhere, which caused me to have an inner ear infection that finally blew a hole in my eardrum since I couldn't get treated for it. Men sleep on the floors and the bathroom is a chamber of horrors. I've had food poisoning 4 times and a couple months ago, more than 40 men sought treatment for food poisoning. The nurse who reported the cases to the Health Dept suddenly left, while the cook remains at work. A Veteran's Admin rep said he wouldn't give the food served here to his dog.

I'm trapped here because Kentucky discriminates against men in that it will not give us Medicaid cards unless we're already on Social Security. This prevents me from having a family doctor and care for my disabilities, which I need in order to win back my benefits. Under these conditions, I will never be able to get out of this nightmare.

I have a friend in Florida who wants me to come down there. FL will give me a Medicaid card and I could at least have a fighting chance to win my disability back. As I've said; I was on it for 15 years and was repeatedly approved every 2 years during the case reviews. I need to get out of this awful state if this nightmare is ever to end. I've lost almost 11 months of my life being warehoused in a place that's one step above prison, and I've done nothing wrong to deserve this. Yet I'm subject to the same rules and restrictions as the ex-cons who live on the floors above me.

I have no family left to fall back on, so all I can do is ask for help. I need money to get to FL so I can get a doctor and my disabillity back, and have a life again. It will cost around $500 to get my things shipped to Orlando, and another $200 to get me there. Then I'd need somewhere to stay until I can get thru the Social Security process again. After that, I'd be OK.

Thank you for reading all this any any help offered would change my life. I would do everything I could to help other homeless men so as to give back help given me when I most needed it.

For kayaker Steven Banks, it is going to be more about physical as well as mental endurance rather than simply covering a set distance around Marco, Goodland and Cape Romano.

Banks, owner of Dreamlander Tours, on April 20 will set out on a 24-mile round trip he estimates will take about 24 hours, including a night stop on the water in the vicinity of Cape Romano when he will be on his own without a back-up team.

He is attempting the feat to raise money for three of his pet charities, the Impact community outreach ministry overseen by local pastor Ben Sprankle; a Malawi, Africa, charitable medical clinic called Partners in Hope; and a Cuaravac, Mexico, mother who is blind and has an epileptic son.

A poignant Marco Island connection is that another of her sons, Benito, worked on the island, raised a family, but died in 2011 from meningitis following a mosquito bite.

Banks had befriended Benito.

“Before he passed, he asked to make sure his mother and brother were taken care of,” Banks said.

A trip to Mexico to meet them prompted Banks to do everything he can for them, and his goal is to have them come to the United States for treatment.

Banks has called his fundraising paddle Kayak Marco 24.

It will consist of the 24-hour paddle that may incur inclement weather and unpredictable winds, put him at risk during the Cape Romano solo stop, and put strain on his body because of being out on the water for such an extended time.

But he is not too worried about that aspect.

As a hands-on guide, he paddles up to five or six hours at least three times a week, so has plenty of residual paddling fitness.

Still, he said, the length of time he will spend out on the water represents an unpredictable challenge, so he is avoiding any kind of complacency.

Banks’ route is not a fixed affair either, other than he starts and finishes at the Snook Inn.

While winds are unpredictable from this far out, tides are not, so Banks is studying charts and conferring with some of his charter fishing captain friends to map out the best places to try to be at certain times.

The combination of headwinds as well as fighting an in- or outgoing tide could be formidable, he said.

If the going is really good, he added, he will probably put in extra miles.

The kayak Banks plans to paddle is not the sleek, 17-foot kind that could zip around Marco, Goodland and Cape Romano in a matter of a few hours.

He will be using an ordinary, fairly short and stable craft that doesn’t have much gliding ability, so every stroke will count.

While Banks’ sole motivation for the endurance paddle is for his three pet causes, a cherry on top may come in the form of recognition by the Guinness Book of Records.

The category would be “longest nonstop time period for a single person kayaking.”

The recognition would be subject to correct and exhaustive documentation, Banks said.

well, to make a long story short i grew up in a family without a lot of money, so everything i have i have had to work for. i work everyday, but i don't make enough money right now to even move out. im 22 almost 23 and i have been out of the house for a couple years but i had to move back in with my dad because i just can't do it right now and im afraid of debt. like i said i work everyday but i dont make enough money to move out attend school and do all the things i want to do. i want to be a waiter part time to make better money than i am but i dont have the confidence for that because a past manager who was verbally abusive. so, im going to include my e-mail on this post, if someone wants to donate or donate their time as to be an anonymous counselor that would be cool too. and in return i will be an anonymous friend for you too to talk to if your in a troubling time and you just need someone to talk to who won't judge you and you wont have to worry about back stabbing, and so on.

I am a single mother of a 3 yr old girl. One who just can't seem to get ahead. Or even even. Bills that are due, some being paid with what little I have are limited to the necessities. I am getting help from my state with food and healthcare and that is wonderful. But here is where my downside comes into play. On 1/28/12, due to (see subject title) I had to quit my job. A job in which I love, in a field that i love, that i still have (outstanding) school loans required for me to be licensed in the field. Hold on now, this does tie together...I quit drinking 3 years ago,(I am past my 20's if that means anything.) I found though, once I quit drinking, that I had been self- medicating for partially debilitating mental illnesses. Though I have been doing my part since quitting the drink (therapy, psychiatry,and just holding on for dear life), I cannot seem to get to where I need/want to be, to be able to continue to provide for my kiddo. My credit is shot, I wasn't approved for a car loan of ANY sort (CARHOP DENIED ME!)and my car is dying. The anxiety I feel every day when I wake up and find that I have to take 10 or so pills to make it through the day, and then still figure out how to pay for my car insurance. And rent and phone bills and electricity blah blah blah, you get the picture. My credit cards (in which I have to use to purchase clothing for myself and my daughter) are maxed. My little one bedroom apartment just doesn't accommodate for myself and my 3 year old. She has no place to play outside, except for a pavement parking lot, all the while trying to shield her from the illegal activities which take place around here. I am in the process of starting to apply for disability, because that is all i know to do for the time being. I will be applying for housing assistance, I gotta get out of this place.
I don't know whom may be out there, and whom may be reading this, I hope at least someone does. What I really hope, is that there may be some helpful, generous, kind and empathetic soul who might be able to help me with this huge anxiety ridden request for help. I have never done anything like this before, for the worst quality I possess is asking for help. Or lack of being able to do so. But, here goes nothin!

My partner and I have recently become full custodians of his 4 children due to them being subject to domestic violence while with there mother. Their ages are 7, 5, 3 and 2. I have also just had my own child who is 4 months old. I am on Maternity leave and not making much money, my partner works full time and I will be going back to work however things are extremely tight, we have 5 new mouths to feed and buy clothes for. We are also having to pay alot for solicitors as although we have the children the mother keeps fighting for visits, and even though the children were uncared for and abused in her care the judges seem to think they would benefit from some contact with their mother.

Im not asking for much 50p or a £1 here and there would help lots. So if you can donate to me please do. If not thanks for reading. :)

I am a disabled person who has suffered from ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since age 9. I missed almost all of my secondary education because of my disability.
I studied a 2 year foundation degree and 1 year degree in music at the Colchester Institute. When I went on to apply for a music teaching PGCE at Cambridge, Middlesex, Ipswich and Open Universities I was interviewed but not selected for any of the courses. The feedback on each occasion was that I lacked sufficient subject knowledge to be accepted on the teachers training course. Also, when I undertook classroom observation experience at several secondary schools, it became clear to me that there were shortfalls in my subject knowledge.
As a disabled person I am at a disadvantage when competing with able bodied people for employment. The shortfall in my subject knowledge is a further disadvantage that can be rectified. I have been offered a place at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey to commence September 2012. My Parents are unable to assist me financially as my father and 2 brothers are disabled and unable to work. My mother has been ill and unable to work for the past year as she has a lung disease and it is not certain if she will be able to return to work.
Previously I auditioned and was offered a place at the world renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston USA. I was unable to obtain funding to attend the course and was informed by the Department of Education that this was because there are sufficient colleges and universities that offer music education in the UK.
Any donations or sponsorship to help me with the fees would be much appreciated.

My niece who is 6 years old was told at birth that she would not live to be 6 months old, well she has made it to 6 years old. She is supposed to go to physical therapy 6 times a week at $100 a visit. Now who can really afford that at all whatsoever. So now she has been subject to cut down to 3 visits a week and has been placed in a wheelchair because due to the fact that she has no more physical therapy her muscles are giving up on her. First let me thank you for your time in reading this. I'm not even sure what to say here. Like I said in the subject, I am unemployed for the first time in over 22 years. I've never had any problem finding a decent job, but at 54 I've found myself in a quandary. After being a quality control inspector with directv for years, they've decided to eliminate the whole department. Now changing careers at this age, in this economy is harder than I thought. I have a wife and two kids (at home) that have depended on me. I feel like I'm failing them. It's been since June and I'm getting beat up by all the rejections and bleek outlook. The state will only give us 280 a month in food stamps. It helps but try to feed a teenager with that with todays food prices. After having a major heart attack and emergency quintuple by-pass surgery just 4 years ago, I also have a lot of perscriptions to buy without insurance. We have never lived "high on the hog" and never will. However when rent, utilities and car expenses are over 2500 and our income is under 1800, there's nowhere to downsize anymore. I can't keep borrowing $$ from my 88 year old mother (who also lives with us). I know something has to break soon, but for now....Please Help!! I don't know what else to say. Anything at all will be appreciated. I just can't let my family get into a very bad place.

Please help me by donating whatever you can spare. I am in a legal program at a university. I wouldn't be asking for help if I was still employed. I lost my job two years ago. Over the last two years, like so many people, I have searched for employment, but haven't been able to find steady employment.

I began school a year ago, but now that my unemployment benefits have run out, I am unable to pay for the necessary expenses related to the program such as the final payment on proprietary software which is a necessity. Even my anti-virus software subscription is coming due very soon and I can't afford to renew. My computer itself is on it's last leg and I've struggled through crashes because it can barely handle the any of the newer programs which are power hogs. I've received notice that I must return a piece of equipment that I was renting and therefore must rent or lease to own from another company now that I've reached reached this milestone. The fact that it's a struggle to meet every day expenses is another subject altogether.

I must also add that I'm struggling so hard to survive in this economy, to find a job, and to do far better than I was before I lost my job. This is why I'm asking for your help. Please give whatever you can afford, Please and thank you.
