Update: I will need $2000 by July for a down payment. Then I pay the rest in installments. If I get at least the $2000 I can get the rest by make weekly and monthly payments.

My daughter is going to college in the fall to study veterinarian science. She will be attending SUNY Delhi. The cost for the tuition is approximately $20,000. After getting college loans and financial aid of $500 (unbelievable) we have to pay $6,000 out of pocket for the rest of the costs. We can't get any more loans because we are at our limit. Any help is appreciated. Even if this does not work, I can get the money out of my 401K. However, I am 46 years old and if I do this, I will not have much money in there to retire. This is something I should have started earlier in life. Therefore, I only have about 12,000 in there right now.

I have made bad decisions financially. Turns out for getting a loan for someone else in your name was a bad idea. I have to come up with 1173.09 cents by June 14th or I will have to go to court and pay up 3000 dollars on top of that and they will be cutting off the little income I am getting. I am a 36 year old single mother of two awesome teenagers and I'm trying to fulfill a life long dream by going back to school.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be an archaeologist and history professor as well as wanting to move to Norway since first reading the Prose Edda at the age of 11. Unfortunately those dreams got put on hold when I had my first child at the age of 19 and my second at 21. My children are now 15 and 17 and about to go off to university and begin their own lives and so it is time for me to revisit my dreams. This is going to consist of 3 steps each of wish I need help funding as I do not qualify for student loans/grants and cannot afford to quit my job to be elligible.

As the first step in this process I have been accepted to the University of Leicester to begin work on my BA in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology and am scheduled to begin classes on June 4th 2012 via distance education. In total the 3 year course will cost £10,350 with £1150 installments due every January, May and September 1st. Along with this one module requires me to go to England in year 2 for field school at Borrough Hill as well as a second trip over in year 3 for lab work. There is also an option to make a third trip for the graduation ceremony if funding allows. Each of these trips will cost roughly $2500 - $3000.

The second step in this plan is to complete a Master's degree in Nordic Viking and Medievil Studies at the University of Oslo in Norway. At this time UiO does not have tuition fees however they do require that international students have NOK 80,000 (roughly $13,500) per year of study. And Norwegian law prevents international students outside the EU from working while persuing their studies.

Finally the third step in the process much like the second involves doing further studies at UiO in the form of persuing a PhD in a topic related to Viking Metallurgy.

I have already taken steps to start covering costs on my own by working as much overtime as I can get (though this option is going to be limited once school starts as I will need to focus on school work) as well as moving from the house I was renting to a smaller, cheaper apartment with a roomate to cut costs. Unfortunately these measures alone aren't going to be enough to get me there. Any help you could give would be very much appreciated.

I am seeking help to pay for my son's college tuition and associated fees. My son has been accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It is an honor for anyone to be accepted to this esteemed institution, however my son's story is quite exceptional. When he was 10 years old, he nearly lost his right arm due to a post-surgical bleed. He was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder known as von Willebrands. He has been left with a disabled arm and hand. He only has use of his thumb on his right hand. His childhood was comprised of surgeries and infusions. When he was 12 years old, he asked if he could buy a guitar. He was so happy because he had seen Tommy Emmanuel playing guitar with a thumb pick on television. He purchased the guitar and began working on a technique to play. He can only use his thumb to pick the guitar strings and must hold his fingers in a special position so that he does not mute the strings. His goal since age 12 has been to study at Berklee. It is an honor to be accepted to such a fine school. Despite a severe disability he has been able to achieve this remarkable goal. Financing his education is going to be extremely difficult. Berklee is an expensive college and scholarships seem scarce. If you know of any scholarships that would be available for him please let me know. My name is Rocky, I'm a 20 year old full-time college student living alone with a kitten, enrolled at North Lake College in Irving, Texas.

I'm relying solely on Financial Aid to survive right now, as I cannot find a job anywhere that is willing to hire a full-time student.

Out of the four classes I took this semester, I failed one. I spent a lot of time just looking for a job, as a result, that cut heavily into my study time.

I am so tired of fighting to survive. There is never enough money. I work all day and study at night. Try to clean house and cook. I'm so sad, that I've gotten to this point in my life. I'm 49 years old and worked hard all my life and may lose it all. My credit rating is so poor that I can't even get a checking account.
