I have graduated in April 2008 with a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology. I worked in the Healthcare Industry for several years. I am currently unemployed sine my company went bankrupt and can not find a job that pays decent so I can make my student loan payments that are $670 per month and support my family. I have $58,000 in student loan debt the original balance was around 40,000 but I had to stop making payments until last year because I could not make a living at all with a $12/hr job to pay for mortgage and other living expenses. Sallie Mae is just saying that they can not do anything about it the only thing I can do is pay interest only and reduce my payment by like $200 and that is for 30 years. Please help me get out of this burden sometimes I ask myself why I ever went to school and if it was really worth it all because some of my friends that have no school are doing better than I am. I guess that is they way you live the American Dream!! This is just crazy that there is no law that protects students when they are in situations like this especially in a economic crisis. Please, I really want to be able to save my marriage, house and be able to provide for my daugther. If anyone is reading this and is willing to donate I would really appreciate anything you give. Also I understand that there are much worse situations out there and people in a greater need of help that is also understandable however I will end up on the street and my loan will go int default if I can not make the payment and I dont think it can get worse than that as far as student loans are concerned and Financial problems. I am a fulltime college student. I am completely on my own. My mom died in 2001 when I was 8 years old. My dad even after her death has never felt like he is responsible for raising me. My maternal grandmother who became my caretaker after my mother's death passed away in 2007. My grandfather who has the capability to help me chooses to invest his money in the local strip club instead of on my brother and I. I do work really hard and things honestly never seem to work out for me. I just secured a job 30 minutes away from my house unfortunately I have no money for gas. I do not even have money to eat tonight. I received a $2000 loan from school this past year and gave every penny to my grandfather so that he could pay our property taxes so that we could have somewhere to live. I later found out he did not invest this money in the property taxes but in fact let our house get sold in a tax sale. Now I am broke and will have no where to live by september. I just need enough money for food and gas for the next two weeks that way I can make it to work and eat until my first paycheck. Any contribution would be appreciated.

I had a very large thymoma removed in 11/21. It was to be a 1 week hospital and 1 month home. it became a month hospital and 3+ months at home. I lost the use of 1 lung and am on oxygen. I have now returned to work. The problem is I can currently only work a max of 24 hours/week and I am out of leave. So my last 2 checks have not covered my bills. I have a $766 mortgage payment, $200 student loan,$250 monthly utilities bill, and of course $1000s in medical bills.

My request is help with these bills, which I will happily provide evidence for, so you know I am truthful. Another solution, which is preferable, is a job for my husband, this would allow us to help our selves and others.

I would love to promise to pay it all back, but I am not sure I will be able to do this, I was barely making it prior to going in the hospital. What I do promise is to pay it forward, once I am back up. I am willing to try to work something out if that would allow you to help me.

I am a 31 year old full time student. I have been steadily employed for the last 12 years, but recently lost my job just around the same time I had to move out of my house and take on a whole lot more in bills. I am looking for work and have just started a part time job, but the hours aren't enough to make the bills. I have to pay to register my car and fix my headlight so I can keep driving my car. I have to pay my rent for June. I have to eat and feed my cat.

I am a hard worker who has just fallen on some hard times. My mom died a few years ago and my dad can't help me out either. I've run out of people I can ask for help. I don't need or want a lot of money, just enough to keep me going until I can get back into working full time.

I could use about $1000 to get myself on steady ground. I realize that might be a lot to some, and maybe nothing to others, but to me it means everything right now. I promise to donate $1000 back to charity after within a year after I graduate in January if I can get some help now. I hope you can help. Thank you!

Hey, normally this would be the last type of thing I would do, as I like to earn my money and not just get bailed out, but I find myself with nowhere else to turn.

I've had to move twice in the last year and a half, and I arrived at my latest place two months ago, only to find the job I was transferring to was no longer available.

I finally managed to find a small part-time job a couple weeks ago, but I am now very behind on bills and rent ($650) is fast approaching. I have the first electric bill payment of $280 looming overhead (first month plus a $200 deposit) as well as student loans and basic internet bills so I have internet access for more job hunting.

I just managed to pay off some private loans, so I have about $10 to my name, and will need every penny from work to make rent this month.

I'm not asking for rent or to pay off my bills, but just a spare dollar or two for some food could go a long way, thank you so much!

Hello all. I am currently a college student in central florida and i have come upon tuff times. my financial aid check ran out and im having difficulty acquiring another. My parents are just as broke as I am so they cant help. I live with my girlfriend who works 2 part time jobs, 2 cats, a bearded lizard and a hermit crab.
I REALLY need help making my rent these two months. I have no where else to turn. Please, we are good people just trying to get by... Thank you for at least reading this.

Hello to all and thanks for taking time to view my donation page. I'm 24 years old and I just saved up my last and moved to Nashville TN. I have a very promising future ahead with my music career in Audio Production. I'm in a very tight situation because I needed to get away from everybody slowing me down back home in Cleveland Ohio that does not want to see me succeed (including family, my 2 kids mothers, and people I thought were friends.) I've had opportunities at one point to make theme music for up and coming Disney, HGTV, ESPN and other shows just to name a few. Nobody really wanted to see me make it and help fund a Engineer so my dreams could become a reality. With the last of the money I was able to raise, I kissed my kids goodbye and moved to Nashville with a close friend from high school.
I figured that everything happens for a reason and prior to me moving, I found out that she has been out here in TN for almost a year with no furniture (bed, couch, dining-kitchen table) Its just her and her cat in a empty Apt. She has a job doing what she went to school for in the animal vet field but she's only recieving small pay. I know anything beats nothing but what is that for someone who graduated from WVU with a bachelors of science? She has Student loans to pay back to a actual bank, a car note, rent and utilities to pay for all on her own and her family is In Cleveland as well. They aren't fortunate to help the situation and anybody from Cleveland could understand why considering how the economy is.
Being a good friend(especially considering that im allergic to cats and there is no vaccume), I saved my last and moved down here because I figured I could help her as well as help myself. If we are going to struggle, we can struggle together. That's what true friends are for right? I have been here since Easter and it's still hard to adjust. She has a leased vehicle so im not really in the predicament to double up her mileage looking for jobs and going to school in it. Everything is so far apart here.I had intentions on going to school in the fall for Audio Production but one day i called a local school from one of the commercials and I ended up taking a tour the same day. I was so Excited to see the Music Studio that I wanted to start immediately!!! I then found out that I started school the very next month (May 7th to be exact.)
Now I have to find a job to go around my school schedule which is only 3 days a week but Im having trouble figuring out how I will even get to school. The bus system is different than back in Cleveland. In Cleveland, schools give students bus passes and they even get discounted prices for being students. Here is definitely not like that. I'm not complaining because I'm blessed to at least be away from all of the distraction and I'm enrolled into school. Now I'm just worried as to what it will take for us to be comfortable for a change.
I eat ramen noodles and Vienna sausages just about everyday to make food here last. I'm not complaining at all but I'm sure that after while i will start to get sick from this. The noodles have high sodium as well. Just barely making it is an experience that isn't fun and I wish this upon nobody. This is why I'm turning to a donation community.

Things all donations will go towards:

Food for home, Bus passes for my schooling, Furniture for our apartment (I'm seeing alot we can get for less locally on Craigslist), Internet so I can stay active with my production, More Music Equipment (the equipment is so expensive but im in the right state to get it used) and eventually a vehicle so I could get us around and not worry about my roommate going over her mileage.

Seems like I'm asking for a lot but I grew up knowing that everything happens for a reason and that prayer goes a long way. Somebody I met in passing recommended this site hearing me talk about my situation to a relative. Thanks in advance and even 1 dollar is appreciated.

I'm a single mother and a full time college student with a part time job. I make roughly 240 dollars a week. This month I paid a rent bill, electric bill, water bill, car payment, auto insurance bill, Internet bill, and had to buy baby supplies along with the normal household necessities such as dish detergent, clothes detergent, soap, toothpaste, garbage bags, ect. No problem! I usually manage to pay all of my bills by the grace of something bigger than myself. I don't know how I'm doing it. I've been doing it for over a year now by myself. I do without a luxurious cell phone and television. I have to have Internet for school. Thank God for Google and Youtube. A girl deserves more entertainment other than deciphering her 9 month old's poop to determine whether or not its lime-greenish hue comes from the peas she ate 2 days ago, or if a fungus is among us.

The thing is.. I am hungry. I am not Ethiopian starving, but I'm hungry. My last meal consisted of a pack of chicken flavored ramen noodle soup and 3 saltine crackers. The 7 meals before that consisted of the same exact thing, except I was so lucky as to add a few broccoli florets to the soup broth. I have since ran out of broccoli and ramen. All I have left in my food pantry is canned baby food, and oatmeal. I am down to drinking tap water and falling asleep at night to the borborygmus sounds that my intestines sing to me out of pure hunger. I am so very blessed to be able to pay my bills and provide for my daughter while furthering my education so that some fine day we will both be living like Princesses. I have counted each and every one of my blessings. However, food isn't among these blessings of mine. All I'm asking is for someone to treat a girl to a hot nutritious meal.

Hello, I am a student wanting to accomplish my dream by obtaining my degree in biology. I have been in school thus far for three years and have one more to go. However, I can't afford to go anymore. I recently lost my job, have no finacial aid coming in, and my parents basicaly told me I'm on my own. I don't have bad parents they just can't afford it. I have been stuggling for some time now and I came across this site. I'm not a lazy person looking to get by on others I am a hard worker and am looking for another job. I just have been having the worse of luck and cant afford to apply for a loan. I am looking for help. Please if you can just donate. I recently filed for bankruptcy and got my discharge like 2 months ago. Since my discharge I had a sezuire at work and had to be rushed to the hospital (Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. I had no health insurance at the time and recieved a $7,209 hospital bill stay from them. I'm really sad that this happened to me due to the fact I had finally got out of debt and now after spending like $1,500 on filing for BK, now I'm back in the whole...I wanted to try to buy a home in 2 years after my BK and now unless I pay this off, that will probably not happen for my daughter and I. Also, its not the only debt that I have after BK, I couldn't include my student loans in my BK, so I have like $11,000 in sallie mae loans for school. I am asking for help with my hospital bill, so it would truly be a blessing if anyone out there had extra money and could help me pay this bill, I would greatly appriciate it! I am going to start paying little monthly payments on my student loans to try to get that down little by little. If someone is seriuosly wanting to help me, we can communicate through email and I would gladly give you my medical bill info and their number, so you wouldnt feel like you were being lied to or anything, I already feel akward asking for help over the internet, but what can I do? I spent 5 years working so hard to achieve my goal of becoming the first person in my family to get their college degree. One year shy of graduating I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I lost my job and had to go down to part time due to health problems, and I no longer have the ability to continue on with my dream. I physically can not do it. My medical bills continue to mount and I now have $75,000 in student loans I have to pay back for something I will never be able to use. MS is an expensive disease to have, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I am devastated and completely lost. I am out of options and money and each day that passes is bringing more stress than the one before. I am doing everything I can but I can't keep up with the collection calls anymore. I am a College student with a plee for help among many others. I am doing a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Games Development.
But the modeling and game engine software is insanely expensive. I also require a powerful computer for the creation of these games and the use of the powerful modelling software which i need.
My family can not afford this, so i have to work in College on my coursework. I am not able to work at home as the computer we have is not powerful enough. My Family find it exceeding difficult, especially me as it is showing on my grades because of my lack of work that i can hand in. I can not keep up.

We are struggling to even keep our lights on, my husband and myself have been taking side jobs to earn extra money, just so that we can assure our son eats. We are not asking to live a lavish lifestyle from what we are now, we just want to know that we can by the grace of GOD turn our situation around to where our precious son can keep a roof over his head.

We were full time college students until we had to drop out, in order to try and make sure that we stay afloat. So now we also have student loans in default, as well. Things seem to be piling up left and right, and honestly I feel like I'm beginning to drown in all the stress.

I am just looking for some help, for my beautiful family.

I have been hesitant to write this post but I am really desperate. I am a psychology pre-med student with a 3.9 GPA in my final year of college. I also volunteer at a local hospital 20 hrs a week and at a counselling center. I work as a tutor and have been able to raise money for one semester, however I simply cant afford my last semester which is 2500. I would love to work more hours but i am an international student, therefore I can only work 20 hours a week.

I am begging anyone willing to help me, to help in anyway. I ahve come so close and worked so hard, I cant imagine quiting at this point.

I am a mother of 4, and usually I bartend 3 or 4 nights a week, but the kids dad is out of the home right now for legal reasons. He has always stayed home because of my late hours and 2 of our children have health issues, but now I can't work and he can't find a job. We are out of resources and I need money for bills and gas, even toilet paper at this point. I have never posted here before but I am hoping all these years of helping others might be returned... Every dime that I have been made has been going towards getting out of debt, but it doesn't seem to be making a dent. I am about to be turned over to a collection agency if I can't pay some of my debt off by june 1st. I am very stressed and very scared. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey to whom ever may care i am 30 years old currently not working and attending school part time, i have no family to help but want to improve my life and not lose my studio. I have hit a rough patch in life i was a late bloomer and started college 2 years ago i was waiting tables but do to rough times the cafe has gone under. I would like to stay in school but my bills are pilling up it is close to $800 a month and i am drowning in debt. I have student loans no car and i am using the internet at the library because i do not have it in my home i am 2 months behind on my rent and hope to find work soon but will still be playing catch up. i am trying to raise as much money as possible to get some room to breath so i can stay in school and not be on the street. A few years ago my wife and I divorced. I got stuck with her car payment, student loans, legal fees, and credit card bills. She was awarded our house, but because it was purchased under a VA loan, it remained in my name. She hasn't made a single payment on it in over two and a half years and it is now in foreclosure. My credit is shot. I am a union electrician and due to a bad economy I have been out of work for two out of the last three years. Things got so bad for me that I went over two years without seeing my children. A few months ago I was finally able to borrow enough money from friends to get an attorney and get visitation of my kids again. With all my ex wife's bills that I am responsible for, plus child support and my own cost of living, I am unable to stay afloat. I am drowning in debt and the stress is taking a toll on my body, as I have been gaining a great amount of weight. I know the economy is bad for many people, and I am ashamed and embarassed that it has come to this for me, but I am turning to the many good samaritans that I know are out there and asking you for your help. I am a good person and when times were good for me I always helped the less fortunate when and where I could. Now I, unfortunately, am the less fortunate and I need your help. Please show me that there are still generous and caring people out there and help me and my children out any way you can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
