Oh where to start? I'm a military veteran, middle-aged single mother of two girls who have their own homes and jobs. I rescue stray cats and ensure they are spayed and neutered and vaccinated against rabies. I work full-time from 3 am to noon. I had an empty room when the girls moved out, and a family friend asked if he and his girlfriend could rent the room. Both best and worst thing I did. Best because the GF and I are good friends now and I trust her with my life. Worst because neither she nor I knew that her BF was smoking crack. He robbed us both blind and left. His GF is disabled (lupus) and on a limited income. She broke up with him and thankfully will not have a thing to do with him (good for her!). If I never see him again it'll be too soon! But now we're behind on every utility and rent. My one vehicle, a beat-up old Chinese scooter, which I drive to work rain or shine, hot or cold, needs several crucial repairs (tail pipe, horn, and rear brake), and though it works, it's not very safe at the moment. All I beg for is enough to get us caught up so I can fix my bike and keep neutering stray cats. We don't live like queens and once we're caught up with utilities and rent, my income and her stipend can support us just fine.

I have recently list my job I'm a single mom with lots of debt carried over from divorce I also rescue stray dogs and have vet and food bills associated with these rescues any and all help is welcomed and greatly appreciated. I am currently applying for jobs everywhere without succes. Thank you and God bless you.

I'm a stay home mom who wants to help stray cats and kittens that aren't taken care of. I have personally rescued a few and successfully re-homed them. I wish I could do more but my financial bit is not helping much. I have a few more stray cats with me that are looking for homes but their vet bills, food and other costs are taking a toll on me. Kind hearts and souls needed to help us. A small amount of donation would mean a lot to us.

I'm a 45 year old woman from Detroit Michigan and I'm at the end of my rope. I was hit by a stray bullet in the 90's which left me wheelchair bound and my life has been going downhill ever since. I need help with my rent, lights and food. It's been so hard and I don't know where else to go or what to do. If anyone out there can help me out with anything it will much appreciated, thank you.

I never thought of asking for help before but actually until recently didn't require it. Since 2002 I've been disabled from a work accident and on a fixed disability income. I was losing my mind not being able to do anything too physical as I have worked all my life so I began working with stray animals full-time. In the small town where I live there is no shortage of people dumping animals....mainly cats. Before I had my accident I bought my own home on 7 acres and I was single so had a lot of room to spare.
A few years later I met then married a man who turned my life upside down. I discovered he didn't like me or the animals and was using me for what little money I had until last year when he found a woman ten years older that him that was quite wealthy so he left me for her (good riddance). Well he left me over $70 000 in credit card debt and because of this every month I struggle to pay my utility bills. A few months ago I already re-financed my mortgage and paid off the largest of my debt. I now am in for over $20 000 and I am truly at the end of my tether. I was hopeful after being profiled on the news show W5 (March 5 2011) here in Canada that I might get a bit of help from donations but they made the episode more about animal hoarders which I am NOT and while they didn't lump me in with the hoarders they suggested that in the future I may become one. All the animals in my care are immediately assessed by a vet (she is wonderful, comes to my home and offers me hugely discounted services) and all are vaccinated and spay/neutered asap as I wouldn't want to add to the pet overpopulation and when healthy adopted out to vetted homes. Almost all are dropped off sick and require medications, some for life. Since I've been involved in rescue I've become well known around the village so I have animals dropped off almost weekly, and if by chance I'm not home many times people will leave them boxed or even loose by my back door/yard. Lately I've had to turn people away since I can't afford the surgeries anymore and I dread to think where these animals are going since there is no official local animal shelter. Currently I have 2 horses, 8 assorted chickens, 6 rabbits, 5 dogs and 38 cats that are ready for new homes. My feed bill alone is over $200 per week which would be fine if I didn't have the huge debt hanging over my head. Please help if you love animals and are in better financial shape than I am...any amount would be most helpful.

Hello, let me start off by saying I cannot believe I am doing this. I feel like the biggest, most pathetic loser in the world. I just don't know what to do anymore, I really and truly don't.
Everywhere I turn someone needs help, and this just breaks my heart. We are one of the many who do. I'm not going to lie, or beef up anything as I know come judgement day I will be judged.
I am a married female with 1 child. My husband works like a dog. Work is so sparatic, we just can't keep our heads above water anymore.We are so behind in debt. We had to live off of our cards just to eat and pay bills. Now we have so much debt, we have sunk.
I cannot work and disabilty can't help as we haven't even done our taxes in 2 years as we cannot afford to even do that. We have gone months without income and are at our max. My husband truck was stolen this year as well and we didn't have theft insurance on it. It has been one hit after another this year, the hardest year of our lives. My husband doesn't know I am doing this, and if I told him, that would crush him. We are 25,000 in debt, and trust me when I say NONE of it was wreckless spending, we needed it for rent, bills, food, meds, gas and all the bills every month. I am a diabetic and have 4 different pills a month I need to take. I haven't taken 2 of them in months. My husband is physically sick over the stress. I guess this is my last and only hope.
All our lives we have helped people, either with money, food, hampers etc. We take in stray animals when needed. They say Karma comes around...but sadly I am starting to not believe this. We have no one to help us. People have seemed to forgot about us when we are in need. Breaks my heart. I don't understand, but maybe one day I will. God works in mysterious ways. Anyhoo, I'm babbling now. I am truly hoping someone out there reads this, who may be able to help us. I know chances are very very slim to none, but one never knows. due to a series unfortunate events iam in dire striaghts.for the past 18mths ihave been unable to obtain employment.I am in desperate need of finiacial help to get a 2nd chance to restart life.with anything GOD touches your heart to give, would be greatly appreacited.i feel as if i am a stray dog with no where to go and i have lost my way in life.it says somewhere in the bible,"you have not because you ask not- i am asking for your help. I am a victim who was attacked my a stray dog while walking through my small town on Feb 10, 2011. I immediatley ran to a house to get help and these nice people drove me to the hospital, where I was treated for stitches to my face, along with several "rabies" shots because of the stray dog. I worried for my safety as well as for my health, so the Emergency physician ordered me to take these Rabies Immune Globul)shots. I recently received the bill. I was not expecting to see $9,581.52. Now I am really devastated. How does a victim of a dog attack not get any help? I have made several attempts contacting and consulting with attorneys to find out my rights. Because it was a "STRAY" dog and no one claims the dog, I have no other choice but to be responsible for this Emergency Bill. I would like to post the actual Physicians Bill and a picture of the scars to my face. I won't be able to afford Plastic Surgery, but it's needed. I can live with the scar to my face (12) stitches from under my eye to my upper lip. I just need some help with that Emergency Room Bill. I have taken on another job selling cosmetics to others, yet this still isn't enough. If you or anyone you know may have crossed paths with, that has been a victim of a serious dog bite to the face, you will understand my needs, However for those of you that this has never happend to, please have it in your heart to view the photos.

Please, anyone who will listen I am forced onto the streets in danger of rape and murder, because I am not safe in my 20 foot 1977 broken down Dodge motor home. I can't go to WEAVE, because they won't allow all my pets, my family will not take me in with them either, and any friends I had are too scared of the guy I'm running from to help me, or they have left me, because they could no longer watch me being destroyed by this person. I love my animal friends and am willing to crawl through the mud with them because they are all I have left in the world and the only ones who always love me, although I can see their sadness and disappointment every day. Please before it is too late for us all. I am Misty, they are Angel, Kona, Rover, Chunky, Mama, Buckwheat, and Baby the newest stray I could not find a home for and could not stand to let them be put down. I have even been willing to be admitted to a mental facility or thought about getting myself arrested by the police just to have a moments peace. I am going through physical, psychological, emotional,financial,abuse and sensory deprivation. I eat 15 days out of the month at the most every month, for 12 years now, to make sure my critters always have what they need first. I am in a dangerous neighborhood with no transportation, and my health has deteriorated to the point where constant pain is here, and death feels around the corner for me. I had a collapsed lung,from pollups,during my last job while simply walking to the restroom on my break, chest pains, constant head aches, asthma, allergies, panic attacks and clinical depression, I have applied for SSI, and SSA to get benefits but it is a slow, repeated process that is very difficult to get if you are 37 years old and appear okay to someone who isn't really looking or looking deep enough. I have no medical, or dental, and need both critically. I also need flea, ear mite, and tapeworm medication for my pets. I just need a boost to get away, and start the healing process for us all. I'm not looking to be rich, or greedy just out of this very toxic, and destructive environment, and want very much to build a life for us all by getting healthy, possibly going back to school and definitely, work. I do have dreams, goals , and invention ideas, but no opportunity in this captive, unhealthy, oppressive situation. I wish to be a mom (to humans)if still possible, and truly in love someday, and desire mostly to be a good, kind person to others. I am willing to show our (critters and my) progress to whoever willing to help so you know helping me is not in vain or a waste, to your mental and emotional satisfaction. And will hopefully be able to eventually give back in return someday, the sooner the better. This help would save our lives, salvage our love and health , future and happiness, and the love and appreciation, I can already pay you back for right now. Honorably and respectively, and non-shamefully that is, or I would have tried less dignified things by now. I grew up with an alcoholic step dad, which, possibly, set me up, unknowingly, for the situation I am in now. This is not an excuse, but it is the truth, that I, apparently, was not strong or smart enough, or had opportunity, to overcome the result of that. Regardless, of fault, I feel guilty and regretful, and so so sorry for not. Please give me a chance, and WHEN successful, very hopefully, I will spend my whole life giving others a chance at a good life, as well. This is the first time for me but I thought it was worth a shot. I live in Greece, alone, and am an animal lover. I take care of many stray animals and have many as well. Raised 2 siblings at a young age with the death of both parents from cancer...stray animals, stray people, helping others--I AM A GIVER. I was holding it all together well, but then the accident came, then I lost my job, then the economy tanked. My life changed and I never thought I'd find myself here. But I am here. Sad to say.
