I am writing this beg for help out of desperation and anxiety. I have been a full time licensed practical nurse at a small town hospital for 5 years. I have a 2 year old son and a one year old daughter. I do not currently, nor have I ever, asked for any government assistance to get through life. I make ends meet by working VERY hard at the hospital, picking up overtime when necessary. I clip coupons, shop at discount stores and take every article of hand-me-down clothing that comes my way. I start a registered nursing program in the fall of 2012. I am asking for help to keep my home financially afloat while I attend school. I am not asking for a million dollars, just a little help. Anything at all would be greatly appreciated- grocery or Wal-mart gift cards, gas cards. Anything that a little family could use to get by while Mommy can't work full time is all I'm asking for

I'm helping a friend who is overcoming agoraphobia. I recently helped move him to a home where he can live with supportive people who are getting him the proper medical care, and slowly getting him back on his feet. Our problem is...he has no bed. He is so very appreciative of all of our help, but truly I cannot afford to buy him one. He is sleeping on the floor on a comforter now, and waking up stiff and sore. He'll be starting work soon, and needs good sleep! I'm a single mom raising two boys, so my only to help at this point...is to find resources. Please help! We'll seek out a used bed or Futon on Craigslist or thrift stores, just to get him off of the floor!

I'm in the process of a divorce due to my husband's habitual drunkenness. He left me, my baby girl, and three dogs in a financial mess. He's in jail now and of course hasn't paid any child support. I need help paying my monthly bills. I have a mortgage,car payment, and he also left me with $20,000 in credit card debt. I have a job, but my expenses are more than I bring in. I am a 23 year old student struggling to make ends meet and get through school. I am in my 4th out of 6 years into a psychology major, I am not working, but looking for work. My current issues getting work have been complicated in part to me being legally deaf, and being in school as well, in the past I did some work as a secretary, but they also needed help answering the phones as well. So I couldn't continue working there for that reason. I am a foster child, so I don't have family, and being a student, most of my friends are broke like I am.

I am in need of a car as the area where I am living is very far from any stores, which is making it difficult to get to school, to buy food, or get to the library for studies, etc. Once I can afford a decent vehicle I will dedicate my time to finding work and getting myself out of the current hole I am in. I now have a bit of cash saved up and am hoping to find something that I don't have to pedal soon, so any help that can be given would be severely appreciated and go a long way to helping me finish school.

I've always struggled when taking care of me and my daughter because I don't have a high level of education so I've been working hard at stores and restaurants trying to maintain. Usually I can manage but recently due to unexpected medical bills I have fallen behind to the point where I could lose my place and possibly my daughter. I have no family to go to so it's just me. so I'm pleading with this community or anyone who reads this If you can help in any way I would greatly appreciate it, If not just please pray for me and my daughter. I am looking for help to start publishing my children's book.
The cost is $5999.00 for 500 hardback books. Because it is a children's book and I painted colored illustrations...The cover needs to be hardback(which cost more than a paperback).
Two books to start costs $11,998.00.
I was working two jobs. I lost my job April 2011. Now, my part-time job (Kmart) may close their doors, as well.
So, I want to turn lemons into lemonade!
I want to continue to become a children's book writer.
My first book has a copyright and is in the Library of Congress waiting to be published.
There are many publishers that will sign up new authors for free. But, the consequences are that the author never sees their royalitites and the monies goes to the publisher.
This is why I want to publish my own books.
I want to reinvest the monies to buy more books for the book stores.
I want to see my dream come true!

Hi I'm 23, my boyfriend John's almost 25, and we have an 8-month-old daughter, Jade. We moved from Austin, Texas to Portland, Oregon and had planned to stay with my boyfriend's brother Freddy, his girlfriend LaWanda, and their 3-year-old son Jack, until John got a job so we could get our own place. Just a few days after arriving, LaWanda left with Jack and filed a restraining order saying falsely that Freddy had pushed her at a time when we and one of his friends were all there, and despite him having three witnesses and she having none as well as telling a slightly different story on the stand than what she filed on paper, it all came down to she's a black woman and he's a big white bearded tree-trimming MAN and she won, which meant he as well as we were forced out of the house and we spent ALL of our money on camping, hotels, food, and renter applications, until finally one reluctant property management agency allowed a jobless family to move in provided we pay a near $2,000 deposit + a month and 1/2's worth of rent which wiped us out down to little under 20 cents. John very quickly got his job and works as many shifts as he can, but he's partly here for school (which luckily his mother is paying for), so money is always tight, and this last week we had to survive off of his tips day to day.

We have no bed. We have to watch how much water and heat we use. We're hungry a lot, I'm rapidly losing weight due to not eating enough and breastfeeding, and most of my clothes are too big for me now. No pants in Portland at this time of year sucks horribly, even my belts won't fit and I've driven new holes in them and everything. My mind is suffering, I'm forgetting what I'm saying a lot. Food stamps help but John still has to use his money to make ends meet, and too often we have to choose between milk and toilet paper. I can't work because I have a child and the best I can do to make money is waitress anyway, so if I worked, the money would just swing right around into child care and I'm not going to work so someone else can raise my kid. Even strip clubs out here are barren, so it's not about what I'm not willing to do for my daughter, I'm really stuck. We're stuck. Relatives are oblivious to how hard things are for us and only send clothes and toys for our daughter, but nothing we actually need. One of my aunts did send a $50 gift card for one of the most expensive grocery stores in town, which was nice, but at the same time, not very helpful. I could have made it go further elsewhere and I still need clothes. I have no pants that fit me now, too many sun dresses and short skirts for this season and two light jackets. What? I'm from Texas, it never gets cold there. Please, please, please help me!

I am on social security and I recently got sick, I can't work or do the things to support my family. My wife is ill and is in extreme pain. Of course our government won't help us. We have no food stamps and so no food. Our car is broken and we have no way to get to drs. or stores or anywhere else. Our debt is over $25,000.00. We need help now. We rent and can still pay for it but that's about all.My wife has only summer clothes to wear for winter. We got alittle help with our electric but very little.
