I am a single mother of one 7yr old that is more than a gift!! I had to step down from college for a little while when I got pregnant to earn money. I cant afford it as long as im trying to save my home. I have went through health issues, lost my job, depression, struggles and a lot of spirit breaking situations, but surprisingly im still standing and fighting! I am a 36 year old single mother of two awesome teenagers and I'm trying to fulfill a life long dream by going back to school.

For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be an archaeologist and history professor as well as wanting to move to Norway since first reading the Prose Edda at the age of 11. Unfortunately those dreams got put on hold when I had my first child at the age of 19 and my second at 21. My children are now 15 and 17 and about to go off to university and begin their own lives and so it is time for me to revisit my dreams. This is going to consist of 3 steps each of wish I need help funding as I do not qualify for student loans/grants and cannot afford to quit my job to be elligible.

As the first step in this process I have been accepted to the University of Leicester to begin work on my BA in Ancient History and Classical Archaeology and am scheduled to begin classes on June 4th 2012 via distance education. In total the 3 year course will cost £10,350 with £1150 installments due every January, May and September 1st. Along with this one module requires me to go to England in year 2 for field school at Borrough Hill as well as a second trip over in year 3 for lab work. There is also an option to make a third trip for the graduation ceremony if funding allows. Each of these trips will cost roughly $2500 - $3000.

The second step in this plan is to complete a Master's degree in Nordic Viking and Medievil Studies at the University of Oslo in Norway. At this time UiO does not have tuition fees however they do require that international students have NOK 80,000 (roughly $13,500) per year of study. And Norwegian law prevents international students outside the EU from working while persuing their studies.

Finally the third step in the process much like the second involves doing further studies at UiO in the form of persuing a PhD in a topic related to Viking Metallurgy.

I have already taken steps to start covering costs on my own by working as much overtime as I can get (though this option is going to be limited once school starts as I will need to focus on school work) as well as moving from the house I was renting to a smaller, cheaper apartment with a roomate to cut costs. Unfortunately these measures alone aren't going to be enough to get me there. Any help you could give would be very much appreciated.

This about sums it up. We did great for years and have been kicked in the face repeatedly by life. I'm about to get it back together with a new job and 50,000 shares of a new tech company about to be publicly traded on pink sheets.

Unfortunately, that's not soon enough for our landlords and we have received a notice to pay or leave in 3 days (Wednesday, May 17 would be the date).

The video sums it up, as I said. We put love and light into the world. We don't sit around and soak up resources. This is really bad. We could lose everything we have, which isn't very damn much. We'd still have each other, but just a world of heartbreak.

I've busted my bum looking for jobs. What used to get me the interview every time gets me nothing but a letter saying they had over 100 or 1,000 applications. I step up my game and they ask me if I am committed to their job, given my background is in something else.

I'm about to be 51 years old and never thought I'd do something like this, but here goes.

I am disabled from a car wreck with a semi, among other conditions. I was on disability for 15 years, but lost it almost 5 years ago because the guy I roomed with was always gone and was supposed to take me to my doctor and Social Security review appointments. Then he got us thrown out of the apartment because he had hoarded his paychecks, was living off my money, and wasn't paying the rent or bills. He left me with a $1600 light bill ! I didn't find out any of this until we were evicted.

I have been homeless ever since, for nearly 5 years, bounced around from place to place, unable to stay in one place long enough to get thru the Social Security application process - I had to start all over again. In 2010, I spent 8 month living in a closet in Columbus, OH and starved.

I had a Social Security hearing in Lexington, KY last August and was dropped off at a horrible homeless shelter in Lexington, to stay until my hearing, when I was assured by a 'free' lawyer I'd get my disability back. I didn't and now I've been trapped in this gulag for more than 10 months, among druggies, alcholics, and ex-cons dumped off here by the police and the Dept. of Corrections. The building is infested wih bedbugs and there is black mold everywhere, which caused me to have an inner ear infection that finally blew a hole in my eardrum since I couldn't get treated for it. Men sleep on the floors and the bathroom is a chamber of horrors. I've had food poisoning 4 times and a couple months ago, more than 40 men sought treatment for food poisoning. The nurse who reported the cases to the Health Dept suddenly left, while the cook remains at work. A Veteran's Admin rep said he wouldn't give the food served here to his dog.

I'm trapped here because Kentucky discriminates against men in that it will not give us Medicaid cards unless we're already on Social Security. This prevents me from having a family doctor and care for my disabilities, which I need in order to win back my benefits. Under these conditions, I will never be able to get out of this nightmare.

I have a friend in Florida who wants me to come down there. FL will give me a Medicaid card and I could at least have a fighting chance to win my disability back. As I've said; I was on it for 15 years and was repeatedly approved every 2 years during the case reviews. I need to get out of this awful state if this nightmare is ever to end. I've lost almost 11 months of my life being warehoused in a place that's one step above prison, and I've done nothing wrong to deserve this. Yet I'm subject to the same rules and restrictions as the ex-cons who live on the floors above me.

I have no family left to fall back on, so all I can do is ask for help. I need money to get to FL so I can get a doctor and my disabillity back, and have a life again. It will cost around $500 to get my things shipped to Orlando, and another $200 to get me there. Then I'd need somewhere to stay until I can get thru the Social Security process again. After that, I'd be OK.

Thank you for reading all this any any help offered would change my life. I would do everything I could to help other homeless men so as to give back help given me when I most needed it.

If someone actually reads this I hope you can reach out and help my family. I guess where to begin would be difficult for me since having to hear about money started at a young age. I could give you a whole sob story but I am not going to I'll just tell you a little about ourselves. My momma was a high school dropout and had three kids me included, she never went back to get a higher education. She married my step dad when I was around seven years old. My middle eldest brother is mentally retarded and my mom did so much trying to help him but it did not work so now he is in a halfway house hopefully being set onto the right path. My step dad is somewhat of an emotionless person because of the way he grew up and because of a leg injury from last year has a hard time finding a job he can do despite all the searching he has done. My eldest brother is so smart but he's wasting his life away at a fast food franchise called cookout, but the brightside for him is he has found true love and expecting a baby. Now onto me I tried looking online to see if their was anything an eighteen year old like me could do to get some extra much needed money for bills but had no luck because they all need money first which is what I don't have. My mom and me have always been very close and im so sick and depressed of seeing her waste away trying to pay all of the bills with what little money she earns at a dead end job. I give my weekly paychecks to my mom just so she can make ends meet and we both only work part time due to all the cut backs on hours from the recession going on. I don't know what else I can say except it would be a miracle from God if something from posting this would happen because I am so unlucky I can't imagine ever winning anything and we are just an ordinary family nothing special about us except that we're in desperate need of a hero.

I have been asking for help from this predatory lender Rochester Home Equity which no one heard of this company. I have filed a complaint against RHE with Department of Financial Services and the reply was I can not get any help from them because my case is in court yes I know that it's been in court for 2 Years and i am not getting anywhere, I know that Jay Gelb the owner of Rochester Home equity is a millionaire, I just can't bet this lender and it's not fair that Mr. Gelb is going to take my houses and won't do a modification, and it's so sad that Mr. Gelb from Rochester Home Equity taking advance of low income people, I just want to know how many other victims is out there and couldn't get any help from anyone to help them before it was to late and everything they work for is GONE. My problem is I am being counsel by my lawyer but again it's has been a on gowning problem with Rochester Home Equity, all we been asking is for Rochester Home equity to TAKE my mother house off the lien that didn't have any mortgage on the 48 Homewood Ave my mother left me and my brother and do modification my house on 43 Twiller St. Rochester Home Equity is just giving us a hard time. As of right now I am debt with my lawyer for $10,000.00 that money I don't have because going to court and trying to do modification and we are not getting anywhere with this lender. I am so tried that Rochester Home Equity want reply to any thing that my lawyer is asking. I just want RHE this predatory lender just take my mother home that she left me and my brother off the lien that didn't have any mortgage on the home and work with my home that is worth $136,000.00 I brought the house I live in for $130,000.00 and my rate is 12.5 percent don't you think that a very HIGH rate. I am a very confident lady of 30, I have been supporting and teaching myself how to live unsupported on my own for half my life,I started life well living on a farm in the country side with my Mum and Sister, then my mum meet her future husband and my step father, we didn't get on and soon he marked his authority, he would deprive me of food and call me sleighs of names when my mum wasn't around, then it got to the point that my mum would support his actions, he turned vilolant in the end and I moved out at 17....I felt strong but didn't know what was really instore, I had to work hard to make ends meet and have made a few errors along the way, however I am proud to say I've done ok, I am about £5000 in debt maybe a little more, I know there would seem to be nothing to be proud of, but some of my friends with supportive family have alot more debt over 15 years, it has come to the point in my life where I beg that someone out there who has some spare money will help me out, I'm tired of struggling to pay off my debts and missing out on life because of it, I cannot afford to eat at all at the moment and my rent is late :(.....I believe I am an Investment into the future as once my debts are paid and I am freeto start again I will have great protienal and experience to make money and use it wisely even to the point that one day I myself will be in a position to help others .If you would like to make any footprint on my future I beg you to donate to me via paypal. I am a sophmore at college who is trying to help keep my father from being evicted from our family home and also help my mother and step father keep our horses and keep a roof over their heads as well. I am at the end of my rope with finding help. My father and step father have severe medical issues and my mother is working two jobs just to try to make ends meet to keep food on the table and food for our horses. I am at school for a Business degree in Equine Management, but I can only do so much to find any kind of money and save it to help. Hi, I'm Brittany, and I'd like to describe an unfortunate event that has recently befallen me.

Four months ago, during the holiday season I received a call from my mom who was facing some rather emotionally tumultuous times. She related to me that she felt like she just could not endure her life any longer and was considering ending it.

I was personally extremely concerned, as I have always highly valued and admired her. At her request, I quickly forsook all my current ambitions to come to her aid. I moved into her apartment with her and tried to soothe her with my company, and also advised her about healthy lifestyle choices that could help balance out her severe depression and alcoholism. I got a job and began helping her pay her bills when her boyfriend showed up. His first words to me were literally "I'm marrying your mother" not long after he began to command my mom to kick me out.

After many attempts to assure them I would surely save money to get my own apartment, I bought a truck to get worked on and began to save money for an apartment. At first I considered moving to stay with other family members, but eventually decided to stay in Sarasota and get my own apartment.

Without giving me any notice to find another place to live, my new "step father" stated that I would no longer be welcome there, although they knew I had no other options or any money to get an apartment.

They then went to a judge and filed a Marchment act to have me involuntarily placed in a detox facility where I was released under forty-eight hours later with negative results for all substances, including alcohol.

Now I am left on the streets with nowhere to go.

What I am asking of anyone who reads this, please assist me with any kind of resources that you know of, such as live-in maid employment, rooms for rent, a place to stay until I save money for an apartment or anything that will help me be independent again.
