my name is charity ivy and ive never done anything like this but basically i am 27 with two very active kids. one is 6 (my daughter) the other is 2 (my son). my husband left for germany to be to be stationed out there for 4 yrs and basically said he wasnt ready to be a father and he joined the army to see the world so take care n bu bye now.he does send help at the begining of the month but for some reason problems and trouble gravitate towards me. i end up having to pay people back that i borrowed money from or my parents need it to help them, which by the way i dont mind but i am 27 yrs old living at home with my parents.i recentl;y purchased a vehichle and its giving me more trouble than the help i thought it would give. i havent been able to register or get insurance on it because everytime i turn around i need to fix something on it. ive been pulled over numerous time and havent been able to pay the tickets so my fear of going to jail is very high and mainly because im all they have. my parents tho i know they mean well have become over controlling in every aspect of my life and make it impossible for me to take care of my kids the way i kno i can. basically i need help getting my car to run help with the tickets i have and help finding a home that will allow me to be the mom i wish to be. please can anyone help me

Soldier with visiting family

Posted by Lionel on 2012-03-20 13:58:06

Hello, I'm stationed in Germany, family is visiting in a few weeks. I have so many bills that I'm forced to pay that I only have a plus of around $150 dollars for the whole month. I don't have much, I would like to beg for funds to to get a few things (sleeping bed, gas funds..) and also for food while they are here. I would really appreciate it if you are able to sponsor me. Thank you

Didnt think id be doing this but here goes nothing. Im a soldier deployed currently in Afghanistan. Stationed overseas I havent been able to see my dad or three kids in close to 3 years. After deployment I want to go visit but the plane tickets for myself, my wife and two kids are way out of reach. Army doesnt pay much. Its roughly 2500 for all of us to fly roundtrip. I can afford some but not all. Anything will help. Thank you all.

Military Move Coming Soon

Posted by freeasabird on 2011-10-10 10:58:39

My husband and I are stationed in South Korea for the US military, and we're in need of help. We leave in 7 weeks to go back to America, and although the military will be helping us, it's not going to be enough. We still have bills, and we're going to need a car, and we'll a lot of other things.

I would never ask for money online like this, but we're so desperate and scared. We're saving every penny we can and living off ramen, but the money is still all going to bills and loans.

We need around 3-5,000 for moving, and 10-13,000 for loans and bills. But honestly, I'd accept ANYTHING you're willing to donate. My birthday is in 20 days and all the money we get from that is going straight towards bills and everything.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Be safe.

Help me pay for Missionary Training School this fall

Hello! I am 18 years old and just graduated and, although it is a milestone, I know it is only the beginning of my life. To prepare myself for all of the new challenges and tribulations I will have as an adult, I have choose to go a different path then most of my classmates. Instead of going to college right away or taking a year off, I have decided to do a BDTS (Backpackers Discipleship Training School) in New Zealand.

DTS is the training program for Youth With A Mission (YWAM). YWAM is a world-wide, youth based missionary organization whose motto is "to know God and to make him known." Each DTS starts with a 3 month lecture faze meant for me to "know God." During this time i will be stationed in New Zealand studying various topics and learning from multiple speakers. On the weekends me and my team will make trips to Christchurch as well as adventurous outdoor trips. After that, the next faze is the outreach to "make him known." This is the part where i will be backpacking around New Zealand with my team spreading the word of God. After that i graduate from the program and am able to become a part of the organization's staff.

I am so excited to do this training. This Training is just what I need to set a good foundation with Christ in my life before being thrown into the college life to become a nurse.

Of course, there are also large obstacles set in front of me that, if it were not for God, I would see as without a solution.

This specific backpacking DTS is offered only once every few years and costs $11,000. That is including the $3000 plane ticket, backpacking gear, food, tuition, traveling within NZ and health insurance. I have raised, thanks to the help of my family, friends and my church, $8,600. This leaves me with about $2500 left to raise by September 28th of 2011 (just a few months away now).

I KNOW that with the help my friends, family, my two jobs, God and you, it WILL happen. I know this because God wants me to go. Simple as that. And when God wants something, he makes it happen as long as you cooperate and trust in him. And that, I do.

If donating is something you feel you are be able to do I would be so very thankful. And I remind you that anything helps. Being a waitress, I know that even small quantities add up to a large sum.

For information on YWAM and DTS please visit ywam.org/training and for information on my specific DTS go to ywamoxford.org/backpackers

Military Family in Need of Help

Posted by benjibabies3 on 2011-06-02 20:58:22

I want to start off with letting you know that this is very embarrassing to ask for help from strangers but I don't know what else to do. So here it goes.
My husband is in the Army and we have 3 amazing kids ages 9, 7 and 2. We have been married for almost 13 years and have what I like to call "The Picture Perfect Family".
We have recently gotten deep into debt and can't find a way out. This is a last resort to help dig us out.
I have not been able to find work since being stationed in El Paso, everywhere that I have tried requires you to know Spanish, which I do not. I have done babysitting to bring in money but the families that I worked for all moved with the military. Our money is gone as soon as it hits the bank going out to bills and not all of the bills get paid, they just keep adding up. When we think that we are finally getting caught up we get knocked back down again.
My Dad just passed away in January and we had to take out a military loan so that we could fly home. They automatically take out $200 a paycheck and that sets us back even further. Our mortgage check bounced along with two other bills so we have fee upon fee for those. That was just this month and doesn't count the others. The list just goes on and on.
I finally swallowed my pride and went to a food bank last week so that our kids had a warm meal only to be humiliated by the staff that worked there. I was told that since my husband is in the military that we should be financially able to pay our bills and not need a handout. Yes, we do get medical insurance and a steady paycheck but it isn't much. I have sold every unused item in our house and more. I have pawned every piece of gold that I owned and anything else of value. I have taken most of our kids toys to the consignment shop along with most of my clothes.
I am overwhelmed and don't know what to do. If you could help in any way our family would greatly appreciate it. Your help would go towards food for our family and hopefully some catch up on at least our utility bills.
We do not smoke, drink or do drugs. We are a kind and honest family.
Thank you for your time.

Give me a dollar!

I work for a volunteer organization that works in various communities around the world, with projects ranging from repairing choral reefs to rescuing abused animals to teaching children in 3rd World countries. We provide disaster relief, community-based infrastructure, and sustainability in places where poverty and need abound. This work is extremely rewarding--spiritually. However it pays nearly nothing, and in a year's time I've actually lost more money than I've made. At present I am stationed in a poor country town in southern Thailand, far from tourists and the thrumming world economy. Hence, I don't need a lot to get by.

If you donate just one dollar to me, it will pay for 4 days' worth of meals. 10 dollars will pay for a new mattress (the one I sleep on has a giant hole in it). You can still buy your Starbucks. All I'm asking for is your pocket change. Thanks for reading.

~PLEASE help me see my Marine husband!!~

Posted by stargazrkat87 on 2011-03-28 22:58:52

My husband recently graduated from boot camp and became a Marine. I was able to spend a week with him and we got married during that week (it was a small wedding by the Justice of the Peace, to ensure we get stationed together when he's done schooling). I have only seen him one week out of our marriage so far, and his schooling was just bumped back and won't begin for a while. He doesn't have a date yet on when it will start. It is very possible I won't see him until October, because he's being told it is very possible that he won't even start school until the end of August. He's not allowed to leave base or come home, nor can he afford it. I'd REALLY REALLY like to go visit him over Easter for a few days, and the Marines DO allow that. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a job (and I'm actively applying on a daily basis). I can't afford to go see him right now, we're barely making enough from him to pay the bills. I'm still living with my parents because we are waiting to be stationed together. My parents are unable to afford the entire thing and can only help a little bit, because my mom has to travel for work and my dad retired early due to serious health issues. Please, please help me. I need to get the plane ticket soon if I want to keep the cost of it down, I'm talking within a week, two at the most.

If you've ever been away from your spouse, willingly or unwillingly, for long periods of time, you have to know how hard this is for me. Please help me surprise him by being able to afford this. I've never begged before, so this is all new to me, but this is something I really really want to do and it would mean the world to me.

He is currently stationed at the base I was born on. My mother and father were Marines as well. It is on my bucketlist to see this base, whether he's there or not. I haven't been there since I was 3, and I feel it's important to get back to your roots. :)

Even if a dollar is all you can afford to donate, it's one more dollar than I have right now. I still need about $400 to make this possible. He might even be deployed right out of school, they won't tell us until a few weeks before his school ends. Then I REALLY won't see him for a long time. This may be my last chance. Please help me see my husband. He is my best friend and I don't feel complete without him.

Anything you can give is more appreciated than you'll ever know.

Thank you so much and may God Bless you!!

American whose sick of the USA desperate to move to Germany

Posted by stuckinusa on 2010-11-21 09:58:58

Hello, my name is Robert and I'm a 26 year old that is unemployed and out of school currently residing in a country that with each passing day, I desire to no longer be a part of. I'm stuck in a dead end town in the state of Georgia a couple of hours away from Atlanta, but have no desire to be where I am now since I was born in New Jersey, never lived in the south other than Texas for 4 years, and feel trapped as a result since the only opportunity for me to actually leave this town and the country is to join the American armed forces.

Don't get me wrong, my father served in the military for 30 years, and I respect him for his dedication to his country and his family, but I don't feel the same way he does for the USA, I don't feel like an American, I don't like the country I was born in, I don't like the greediness that permeates the people in this country, I don't like the litigious nature of this country, I don't like the direction this country is moving in with each passing day. I feel like a prisoner in a country that isn't my home, but I don't have the financial resources to escape my misery of being here.

Why do I want to move to Germany? I've lived in Germany for 4 years when my father was stationed there, I have somewhat a clue on how to live there, in better days I was fortunate to be able to learn how to drive by attending driving school in Germany. I first acquired my driver's license in Germany before ever being legally able to drive in my "home" country, and even though I've only lived there a short time, I felt more welcomed and more like a member of the world community in Germany than I do in the USA. The only other country I've lived in other than Germany and the USA is South Korea, I am half Korean but the one place on Earth that I felt more connected to, is Germany.

I don't know much German, I've forgotten a lot of it being stuck back in the states for the past 7 years now, and with each passing day now I feel that I'll never be able to leave the country. I have some decent skills however, I've been interested in architecture my whole life, I started drawing houses for fun on 3D Home Architect when I was 9, and after I moved back to the states from Germany I was involved in a wreck the first month I was back. The very first month I'm legally able to drive in the USA, and a driver runs a red light and T-bones me. I used the check from his insurance to purchase a $1600 copy of ChiefArchitect 9.5, and for a short time I was happy earning money from the local home builders designing houses, then we all know what happened to the housing market in the USA... and I've been unemployed ever since.

I also have excellent driving skills, and if I could, I'd obtain every class of driver's licenses in Germany to become a driving instructor for a driving school. I have no debt, no student loans to pay for whatsoever, but no money to move back to Germany for good.
Me and my fiance have been together well over 3 years. He is in the Navy and is stationed on the Tinker AFB in OKC. I'm from western NY and plane tickets are usually about 300-400 roundtrip. But during the holidays the tickets are 450-600 dollars :(. I work 2 jobs, one at my college school as a secretary but get paid only $8 an hour, && at the Subway in one of our hospitals making only $7.25 an hour. I'm a full time student as a computer science major. Bills are really expensive up here in NY and I can barely afford to put gas in my car, that by the way needs repairs badly :/ . During the week after christmas is the only time my schedule frees me for a whole 7 day week. I really would love to see my fiance because he can not come home for the holidays because E-3's do not make enough $$ and the military does not give any type of disount other then about $15 off for plane tickets (which I believe is STUPID). He also will just be getting back from a special mission trip and I believe me going there will make his holiday season not be so lonely. I dont want him spend the holidays by himself. I cant make it there for thanksgiving or christmas but I believe spending New Years night with him will put a smile on his face. We plan to wed as soon as I graduate with my B.A in computer science in a little over a year. I'm not asking for much, but a few couple dollars would help me ALOT! I really appreciate the time people took to read this! thank you and if you would like to contact me, please feel free to email me at megjp916@gmail.com!
