Single Father Needs Help

Posted by joebinx26 on 2012-05-21 00:58:47

I am a single father of a boy and a girl, who is in desperate need of a blessing. The mother of my two beautiful children left 2 months ago with the car amongst half of our furniture, in a bed bug infested home. I am trying all that I can do to make ends meet, but have hit a rough patch. I am currently having to reside with a couple who have a child of their own in a 2 bedroom apartment, and am looking for any kind of assistance in getting into a new place for myself, my son and daughter. I am looking for work on a constant basis, but have had no luck in this economy; consequently, without a vehicle it's made it even harder.

Only serious inquires only, as this is for my children solely.

God Bless.

A full-time student seeking a sponsor/any help at all

Posted by Raqib on 2012-05-08 17:58:52

My name is Rocky, I'm a 20 year old full-time college student living alone with a kitten, enrolled at North Lake College in Irving, Texas.

I'm relying solely on Financial Aid to survive right now, as I cannot find a job anywhere that is willing to hire a full-time student.

Out of the four classes I took this semester, I failed one. I spent a lot of time just looking for a job, as a result, that cut heavily into my study time.

I have an outstanding medical bill, and I unfortunately received my first-ever speeding ticket today- both I most likely will not be able to pay off anytime soon.

I'm seeking help from anyone I can possibly receive it from. Anything from donations, to even any jobs you may have for me in my local area will benefit me. If there are any positions you can hire me for, please do tell me.

Thanks in advance. - Rocky

Need Funds for Mother's Liver Transplant by Year's End

Posted by thesecondliver on 2012-01-28 12:58:28

My forty-five year-old mother is diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, and she is currently waiting on an ongoing list for a liver transplant. She is experiencing a variety of symptoms, including ascites, hepatic encephalopathy and jaundice. She visits her hepatologist biweekly, but there is only so much he can do. The costs of interferon therapy alone are expensive, and she is not eligible for a liver transplant without insurance.

This fundraiser is created solely for her liver transplant, and hopefully, she will receive one by year's end. Every cent and dollar of every donation and contribution received from the kind and tender-hearted will be appreciated and acknowledged.

Devastating Accident almost done us in anything would help

Posted by Livingonfaith on 2012-01-24 04:58:45

In July 2007 my husband was a passenger in a co-workers car; the co-worker turned left in front of a pickup and the car was T-boned directly on his side. The co-workers car was an older model with no airbags; the doctor said that if he hadn’t put his arm & hand up to shield his face than it would have been fatal. The subsequent and enduring “care” he has received via workers compensation (WC), for the grave injuries he sustained, has been appalling at best. This is just my personal opinion, based solely on our experiences since the accident, but I have concluded that workers compensation (that was put in place to protect the workers), is nothing less than an unethical, disingenuous corrupt system. They end up sending you to a doctor of there choosing and these doctors (who have "gone over to the dark side")cater to the insurance companies by writing lengthy reports downplaying any injuries (goal of saving insurance company money with zero regard for the patients well being) in exchange for more patients sent to them and guaranteed, probably higher than usual, reimbursements. All too often it seems like WC caters to those who abuse the system and discriminate against those who really are in need. The “timely” medical care my husband has actually been able to procure through this government supported system is a travesty leaving him with irreparable spinal damage and a life of pain to look forward to. The malevolent truth is, had this system acted in a timely fashion, equivalent to the expedient care that ANYONE else not on WC would receive, then something could have been done to improve his quality of life. Unfortunately, as it stands, due to the guileful delay tactics used by WC, it is too late to do much of anything to repair the injuries causing him pain. Clearly supported medically necessary needs have either gone unapproved or purposely neglected for months all the while he continues to suffer with intractable pain. It is just beyond my comprehension as to how these people can feel no remorse for leaving another human being in such agony. Due to WC neglecting to approve certain items we have had to outlay a significant amount of our funds for medically necessary items\services to help him do tasks that he could previously do unassisted.
Today he suffers unrelenting pain as a result of permanent whiplash, 8 herniated discs, and unacknowledged(despite films clearly showing injuries) unaddressed broken tailbone, ribs and pelvis. Nerve damage from the spinal injury has resulted in numbness in his extremities, frequent weakening of his legs and embarrassing incontinence among numerous other concerns - had these been addressed in a timely manner (much like they would have been if not WC injury) his suffering could have been decreased significantly thereby improving his quality of life. The most serious injury he suffered was the hip break (acetabuler break) the worse break possible - it was broken in four places. As alluded to previously, an injury this severe should have been stabilized by surgery - allowing it to heal properly and not leave him suffering in chronic pain. WC puts such demands on providers to cut corners in order to save money that, in my husbands case, his doctor decided to do absolutely nothing but send him home instructing him to stay in a wheelchair 100 % of the time for several months. This doctor did not follow up with an exam or x-rays to make sure everything had healed properly. When my husband tried to explain to him the degree of pain he was still in the Dr said hmmm that shouldn’t be and then said “I can’t do anything else for you…”. This Dr. was so engrossed with saving WC some money that he disregarded his patients plea for help- how dispassionate and cold. The way this physician treated my husband goes against almost every part of the hippocratic oath which he swore to uphold upon graduation.
After being in pain for years, with no help from WC when it came to pinpointing its primary source, we paid out of pocket for a film that revealed his pelvis had been broken in the accident. This was never discovered previously by the orthopedist, again, due to cutting corners to save WC money they didn't take the necessary films to do a thorough job. We have a hearing with WC before a judge in March to request approval of a doctor who can address his broken tailbone - regardless of the fact that he can hardly sit without being in excruciating pain WC has denied him access to a doctor to treat it.
Immediately after the accident WC paid for home care for my husband and I was his caretaker when they were not here. Once they stopped providing this in home care I had to take over caring for him in addition to taking care of our then one year old daughter. I soon realized that I could not work and take care of both of them so I had to leave my job to stay home. As a result of my loss of income we have used up every penny of savings and 401 K, that we worked so hard to earn. We had to purchase anything medically necessary for Randall that WC was denying or losing track of. In addition to all this bad news, he has had to go out on disability (10/10) due to the deterioration of his condition and as a result our income has been cut substantially. This leaves us struggling to survive with no savings and significant decrease in income. I am the primary caregiver of both my husband and 5 year old daughter and all I able to contribute financially is what I can find the time to sell on eBay and needless to say we are coming up short.
All of our credit cards have been turned over to collections and our house note is in default and I am terrified. My heart breaks for my only child my daughter who is just 5 years old - I want her to remember more than this devastating situation about her dad and what undeserved hard times we are facing. You can ask anyone who knows my husband and they will all say the same that he is one of the kindest, caring, and conscientious people they know. I know that he doesn’t deserve the heartache he is having to endure. He has worked hard his entire life, since the age of 15, up until he could no longer because of his injuries; and I know that prior to this accident he had saved and saved and was looking so forward to retiring and having fun times as a family. He hasn’t lost sight of those dreams but the money he had saved to fund them is all gone. Despite everything somehow he still maintains a positive outlook on life which makes him a much stronger person than I.
We all have faith that God will see us through this one way or the other but some days it is just so hard to maintain a positive outlook. We would be truly grateful for any help - do only as your heart leads you to do!
God Bless

Please help me move to Florida and make my deadline!

Posted by cmpeterson87 on 2011-12-14 01:58:06

My name is Christopher and I live in Northern Michigan The economy is struggling, and thus far I’ve been pulled down with it.

Money is very tight, and prospects of employment are even more scarce. As we move into the winter months, it has yet to snow here, which is damaging an economy that depends on winter tourism. If there’s no snow, there are no tourists. If there are no tourists, there are no jobs.

In the wake of all this, I just turned 24 and have been given the opportunity to leave this area and try to better my situation. A couple of weeks ago, I was notified that I had received the role of “Pharoah” in the Manatee Players production of Elton John and Tim Rice’s “Aida” in Bradenton, Florida. I am so excited to have the chance to move to Florida and begin again. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to put any money away to be able to move. Without any regular work, I have barely been able to pay my bills, let alone save any money.

I have been doing everything I can think of to raise funds including trying (with little success) to pick up odd jobs and even selling personal possessions. So far, this has not gone as I had hoped, and I have not been able to save much of anything.

Rehearsals begin just after New Years Day. Ideally, I would like to be in Florida and settled by the first of the year.

I need help. I don’t like asking for it. But I need it.

I love to sing and I want to act more than anything. Where I live, the chances to do that are just so small. If there is anyone out there who is an enthusiast and patron of the arts and loves them, as I always have…. PLEASE help me get to Bradenton and get settled. I’m a jack of all trades and master of none, and should be able to find work relatively soon. That is, if I don’t find a job in the area before I leave Michigan.

Any donations received will be directed solely toward transportation to Florida, securing a place to live, rent and food while I’m in the process of relocating. The link below is connected to my paypal account for donations. For my security and yours, I’d like to do this via paypal only.

I’m hoping to leave Traverse City the day after Christmas, but right now, I don’t think it’s possible. This is the holiday season, and with your help, I want to make this one I’ll never forget.

Thank you for your help from the bottom of my heart.

Falling, falling, failing

Posted by Krinkle on 2011-11-10 18:58:26

I am solely responsible for keeping my family afloat financially. I have been doing this for a number of years as my wife completes her medical training. She is nearly done after 15 years of school and training. I know easier times are ahead (18 months), but in the meantime we are on the verge of economic collapse. Bills are going unpaid and the rent is passed due. It would be ridiculous for all of these years of training to be for naught because we can no longer afford food, gas, or rent. Please help! Many thanks!

Student Loans

Posted by StrugglingStudent on 2011-10-28 16:58:43

Please help a struggling student trying to take control of student loans and be in control of life once again. We all want the American dream of owning a home with a white picket fence in the suburbs, while raising a family comfortably. We are told throughout high school and in almost every aspect of society (i.e. television commercials and bill boards) that the only way to achieve this dream is to go to school and earn a degree. Well long story short, while trying to grab my piece of apple pie I acquired an enormous mountain of debt (to the tune of 34K). I was also forced to leave the college that I was attending after just one year because tuition became just too expensive! This debt has followed me like a dark cloud and has become a burden to my young life. Even though the thought of having such a large amount of debt at such a young age is stressful I have continued to keep trying. I have not let it stop me, but it has tremendously slowed my pace to achieve my dream. I’m currently enrolled in junior college but due to the fact I am solely dependent on financial aid my journey is a rough one. I have tried to pay on these loans but with little to no experience my job pool is more like a puddle. The money that I made was just not enough and I feel that I’m in deep trouble. So if you’re reading this please find it in your heart to help a student in need of a fighting chance against my battle with student loans. I’m not asking for much anything will help me win this fight.
Thank you-
Struggling Student

Just Needing Help!!

I am a single working mother of 3 currently pursuing my bachelors degree. I am working fulltime and attending college all the while being a fulltime mother. I am receiving no help from their father, but I do have a pending child support case that was postponed until late December due to his lack of cooperation.

In the meantime, it has been financially challenging for me to maintain my household. Besides the necessity of rent and utility bills I am solely responsible for childcare, food expenses, medical bills, transportations, clothing, etc. Despite the difficulties, my children are not aware of the hardships that our family facing.

Need Money to Get an Education

Posted by rbn6209 on 2011-08-17 08:58:11

Hello There, Im a 21 year old that is in need of money to further my education. As a teen I relied solely on myself financially. My parents werent well off but deffinately weren't poor either, they just never had the money to put any away for me and my brother for school. My brother ended up being fortunate and recieving a big bursary and went on to be an electrical engineer, however, I didnt have the money to go to school. I had went for a semester but then had to drop out because I was misdiagnosed for pneumonia and almost died, resulting in missing 3 months of school and not being able to go back. I now have to many bills to be able to begin putting away towards school and am still currently paying off the student loan that I had from when I was in the hospital. Please see it in your hearts to help me out and donate towards my education. It would mean the world to me, and I firmly believe in paying it forward and helping out others in need

Humble veteran in a financial crisis due to ex-girlfriend.

Posted by Cdaniel121 on 2011-07-06 22:58:17

I'm not normally one to beg, being a military veteran and all, however it's come to that point where I have no other choice. My ex and I recently split up, and she kicked me out of the house, taking everything except the clothes on my back, including our only vehicle. (Which, when we got it, it was paid for solely by me, but she put it in her name, so now it's hers.)

I'm a full-time college student, with assistance from the post 9/11 GI Bill for being a student. This past Friday, when I got paid, I tried to get caught up on my bills; rent, phone, power. The most important bill, however, the rent money was recently declined because she (the ex) decided to take out 502.00 out of the account, which left me about $375 shy, with no money for the month to pay for food, or anything else this month.

I know the roles are normally reversed with the males putting the women in this sort of predicament, and I don't normally like to ask for any assistance, but a veteran can't get thrown out on the streets twice in three months. Any help would be a God Send.

Please Save my Family.

I have asked many people including my parents sister’s and brother for help in the past, but they would prefer that they have a better lifestyle than us.

We never had any money problems, well I thought we didn’t until I found out that both my parents where borrowing money for other people and paying interest out of their pockets, they would pay up to 5000.00 a month.

5 years ago, my parents decided to give a shop we had to help us from these debts but the people we leased to fraud us and now we are in a legal battle to get our money as for last 5 year we have not received a dime from them.

My family consists of my father, mother, 3 sisters and 1 brother, and newly born baby, whom we are having so much trouble trying to provide for.

I don’t know if you will help but I would see you as my GOD, you would help a whole family live.

I am married but don’t want to have children because I don’t want to bring a child into this world where I might not be able to provide for.

Money has taking over my whole life, I am only 23 years old and could not do anything in my life that I have wanted to do, because I decided to help clear my parent’s debt, however in the last 5 years nothing has happened and my parents owe over £500,000. On Sunday my father had a heart attack due to all the things that are happening. My family members are the most important people in my life, but we have all decided that if nothing happens by April, death is the only way my family can all be free.

I don’t want £500,000 but any money you give may give my family the hope that we can beat this as I don’t have the strength to keep my family going as they all solely relay on me.

Please Save my Family.

Dear Friend:

My name is Barbie Nemeth.

We are writing to you on behalf of our up and coming not-for-profit “no-kill” animal rescue. Serving greater Savannah, Chatham, Liberty, Long & Effingham Counties.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate cats and dogs that are on the high kill list for euthanasia, treating their illness if any and placing homeless animals into safe and loving homes, and not toward administrative costs.

Our family and dear friends Hess Putnam, Amanda Scearce & Lindsey Mlekush “co-founders” have been donating food, time, medical supplies, underground fencing, blankets , pillows, tarp everything you can imagine a helpless animal needs to numerous rescues throughout Georgia for quite some time now.
We are always looking for the best way we can help these helpless animals.

After some excited brainstorming we came up with the idea to open our own “not for profit” no kill rescue. Hence the name “Kandi Boo Rescue” came about.

As of right now I am driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan which I cannot transport animals in, the traveling pet carriers are too large to fit into a mid size van.

We would like to ask you to get involved and donate a beater truck for transportation to these high kill animal shelters to our local veterinarians that are donating their services to help heal these animals so they can be re-homed to loving families.

There are also times that we have to transport an animal to a foster family in the event the center is full to capacity.

We rely solely on donations, “no cash donations”, hence the need to go directly to the source for the donations that we need.

As this is a “not for profit” rescue center your donation would be 100% tax deductable.

Thank you for your time we hope to hear from you in the near future.

Please contact Barbie Nemeth at 912-224-9543 or reply to this email.

We are in the process of opening a "NO KILL" animal rescue center.
We rely solely on donations as we are a “NOT FOR PROFIT CENTER”, IE: Dog/Cat Food, building supplies, voluntary transportation of animals, veterinarian vouchers for animals that need medical assistance....so on and so forth.
We have been volunteering our time and donations to several other "NO KILL" rescue centers and have been asking ourselves what would be the best way to reach out and save more animals.
Through much prayer and allot of consideration our family has come to the decision to open our own "NO KILL" rescue center.
Along with 2 co-founders that also have been active with other animal rescues.
Everyone involved is 100% volunteer.
However, the home we currently reside in is a leased home, and even though the leaser has allowed us to RESCUE 4 dogs and 2 cats they will not allow us to build kennels or a kitty haven to start our center.
Therefore we are reaching out to our community to help us find a 3 bedroom mobile home and a small amount of land.
We are in constant contact with numerous LARGE companies willing to donate some of the items that we need to build; however we have no-where to build.
If you could find it in your heart to reach out to us and help us save more dogs/cats and possibly even small farm animals buy donating a 3 bedroom mobile home and a small piece of property you would be saving the lives of many helpless animals that are as we speak on the HIGH KILL list for euthanasia for no other reason than the fact that Animal Control population is overwhelming and their only option is to euthanize.
PLEASE REMEMBER, YOUR DONATION IS 100% TAX DEDUCTABLE AS WE ARE A NOT FOR PROFIT CENTER
May God Bless and Keep You
And thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.
Hope to hear from you in the very near future.
