NEED MONEY

Posted by nshurt on 2012-05-24 19:58:50

I am a fulltime college student. I am completely on my own. My mom died in 2001 when I was 8 years old. My dad even after her death has never felt like he is responsible for raising me. My maternal grandmother who became my caretaker after my mother's death passed away in 2007. My grandfather who has the capability to help me chooses to invest his money in the local strip club instead of on my brother and I. I do work really hard and things honestly never seem to work out for me. I just secured a job 30 minutes away from my house unfortunately I have no money for gas. I do not even have money to eat tonight. I received a $2000 loan from school this past year and gave every penny to my grandfather so that he could pay our property taxes so that we could have somewhere to live. I later found out he did not invest this money in the property taxes but in fact let our house get sold in a tax sale. Now I am broke and will have no where to live by september. I just need enough money for food and gas for the next two weeks that way I can make it to work and eat until my first paycheck. Any contribution would be appreciated.

Urgent tuition fees needed for a master program

Posted by Octavia on 2012-04-25 18:58:18

I am a medical doctor and I've been practicing for about 3years now post graduation. I secured admission for a master in public health at the University of Leeds and I urgently need an equivalent of $25,000.00 USD for my tuition fees and registration by the end of July. I had to defer my admission last year due to lack of finances and I'm yet to raise money for my fees but I've been able to raise money for my flight ticket and living expenses. My study of this program will help me improve the health standard of my people. I will be overly grateful for your assistance. Thank you in advance.

Please help my family

Hi, I'm a 33 year old man with a wife and child and cannot make ends meet. I am £12,000 in debt. I can't pay my rent or provide food and clothes for my family. In a few individual moments of weakness I've taken payday loans online and even a logbook loan (secured on my car) to try and get by. But I am only able to pay these each month. I am at a point now where my house could be taken from me for non payment of rent and my family will face life on the streets. I thought things would get better, but I simply can't do this anymore. I have even contimplated taking my own life as things are that bad. But quickly realised that it is a very spiteful thing to do. I've made mistakes and now I'm paying for them. I just want to be able to live without worrying about losing everything this includes my family as we are at breaking point. I am a very proud man and normally would never consider begging.

Importance of Education-Help!

Posted by catholic75 on 2012-02-08 19:58:47

Hello everyone,

I have tried everything else in attempts to pull together funds for my daughters education at catholic school. We are catholic and this is of the UTMOST importance to me. I have tried to set up a fundraiser website and raised zero dollars in doing so. I have found a job and began working in hopes to save the money for this coming fall. However, I am barely keeping my head above water even with working. I realize that maybe Catholic quality education is only for the financially well off but I want the absolute best for my daughter just as any parent would. I pleaded with my parish priest to allow me to volunteer to offset tuition cost to no avail. I have tried everything except begslist. I wonder if God will give me a MIRACLE here. I sure hope so. Please help in any way you can if you feel you can. The total cost of tuition is $5,000 but what I need immediately is at least $250 to get her seat secured and registration form in. She already had her assessment and scored above the local and national average! Thank you for reading and God bless.

I'm a 32 year old single mother, I live with my 7 year old daughter and I have never asked for anything before.

I've always earned my own money and have worked continuously since I got my first paper round at 13 until a few years ago when I lost my job due to ill health. At the time I was still living with my partner and we both had well paid jobs. We had a house with a mortgage and had taken out a secured loan against the property to do some much needed work on the house. Then the recession hit. The value of our house dropped by over £70,000 and because I had lost my job, we started struggling to make payments on the house and our credit cards and before we knew it our house was repossessed. It sold for much less than it was worth and we still owed the bank an absolute fortune.

I went to the local Citizens Advice Bureau who told me that I would be much better off if I was single! They said the government would pay for my house and give me other benefits but if I was still with my partner I wouldn't get a penny!

After much discussion we decided it would be best for my daughter and I to move into a place on our own and my partner would stay with family (just until we got back on our feet). Unfortunately we never did get back on our feet. My partner is still staying with family and we are still living in our small rented flat.

All I want is for my family to be back together under one roof. My daughter should never have to be without her dad because of finances and I want the man I love back. So if you can spare anything to help us out we will be forever in your debt!

Money For Clothes

Posted by dudedavis on 2012-01-25 09:58:28

over the past couple of years myself and my husband have been very unlucky with employment. We have either been made redundant, or in my husbands case the building trade has gone down hill. My husband did get a permanent Job but the monies earn't has gone towards essential household bills and there isn't enough money to go around. I have now secured a permanent job but unfortunately it is in an office and I do not have the suitable attire to dress for this job and have no money to buy new clothes as we have more pressing debts such as car finance, insurances, mortgage, council tax etc. I would appreciate any donations from 30p to £1.00 to help me buy the much needed clothes I need to maintain and keep my permanent position any donations would be gratefully received.

DESPERATION

Posted by REAYANDANDREW on 2012-01-24 03:58:02

I am a 48yr old married woman who has had to give up my job as a staff nurse (since 1979) due to back and knee complaints. The trust I formerly worked for will not accept that these problems stem from my nursing career and are therefore dragging their heels over my small pension payments, likewise the benefits agency. My husband works 50+ hours a week on the minimum wage and then has to come home and do the housework and prepare meals as I have also been diagnosed with depression and anxiety which renders me some days unable to even get out of bed. Anything I do causes me so much pain due to my back and knee and I am having to use crutches to mobilise which is problematic. We are in the process of losing our family home(this is the home that I and my siblings grew up in) and would be heartbroken if this were to happen but we cannot at the moment pay the mortgage or secured loan on the property. Please Please can somebody help us at this desperate time and restore our faith in human nature.

Help Save my home while I am in Treatment for Bipolar

Posted by ernewt on 2011-12-24 02:58:04

I am a fighter. My story is a long one with many trials and tribulations; perhaps not much different or worse than others, I am not sure. My name is Elizabeth Newton and I live in Loveland, Colorado; the Sweetheart City and Gateway to the Rockies. I was raised by both parents in a middle class environment. I am the oldest of four, in which, three are brothers. I was a creative child who staged puppet shows and created clubs in our neighborhood. I am not sure if you remember the fuzzy sticky feet, but I made my own with left over pieces of carpet and sold them to my friends.
Moving on, I really struggled in school and got into a lot trouble. I was reckless, promiscuous, used drugs and alcohol and was dangerous. To keep it short, I dropped out in my junior year. When I reflect on those years, I remember some of what I did but mostly I forgot. I guess I felt as though I was being pulled by the strings of a puppet master whose name I now know is Bipolar.
When I turned 18 I shared an apartment with a friend. We both worked for the same nursing home and later for the Bureau of Reclamation. In was at the former job, I received my GED. I was still behaving recklessly resulting in a lot of missed work. But I was having fun being independent, partying all night but slowly losing control of my life.
I became pregnant by my boyfriend and we married several months later. My daughter is a grown woman. I then had another child four years later. Money was also a struggle. My husband wanted me to work but it did not make sense financially. I paid more for daycare then I was paid. When I found a position over the weekends, my husband refused to watch the children. That being said, I was still reckless – the mood would not go away – still a slave of the puppet master. Eventually the relationship became abusive and my husband left leaving $200 on the kitchen table. I did not have a car so I borrowed my father’s truck. I drove my father’s truck with my two small children in back to a safe house. However, it was not so safe. My husband who insulated homes, worked on the safe house. He found the truck and wrote things, I cannot mention here, on the outside of the truck. He coerced my grandmother to call me; and she did! Having to deal with these distractions kept me from focusing on me.
Good news! I was able to move into low income housing. It was a struggle to get my possessions; I took what I could. My father out of the blue wanted his truck back. My mother headed him off at the pass. I think I remember that my life settled down a bit. I enrolled in college. I loved college. In spite of this, I quit school to work from my mother at her computer store. Did I mention my parents were divorced? I am not sure it matters at this point. About six months later, the puppet master caught me and off I was again.
I had a boyfriend – I was 32 years old – and pregnant again…..This relationship was worse that the first. It included drinking, drugs, sexual and physical abuse – oh my, sigh. In the course of it all, I secured a position for one of the largest companies in Loveland. I was thrilled. I had actually come a long way. I divorced my second husband and found my own apartment.
Wow – raising three children on my own was not easy. We got by – I was able to provide what we needed. I forgot to mention I shared custody of my third child and had to pay child support. I never complained; I met my responsibility. I was performing very well at work and procured a position of a trainer. WeeHee – my new position allowed me to travel the globe. Can you imagine, me, the girl from Loveland, Colorado? During this time, I encountered a lot of problems with my ex-husband. Once, he called me at work and said he had a brain tumor. It was a joke; I did not find it funny.
I was promoted again returned to school and bought a house!!! I cannot think of the words to describe these accomplishments. I transformed from the woman driving my father’s truck to a home owner; kind of like the Home Sweet Home book. I was still partying, drinking, but not like before. The puppet master must have been on holiday. I met the man of my dreams and we married in 1998 (I think). We are still together.
The puppet master had those strings a rolling. I could and did accomplish anything. I could see what others could not. I finished school with ease and received my BA in Organization Development in 2005. What year did my story start? We bought a new home in a nice neighborhood. It is a modest home but fits us very well. I was still partying but it was not disrupting my work and home responsibilities.
CRASH! He let go – how could he let go? A woman pulled in front of us and totaled our car. I realize this does not sound traumatic, does it? I really do not know anymore. What I do know is this rocked my world. More than any other event did – and there were many. I could not recover. My performance fell down the well. I could not sleep. I drank a lot. I would even get up at night to drink because I could not sleep. The unthinkable happened. My strings let me down. I swallowed a bottle of pills. I was so afraid. I spent three days in the psychiatric hospital and two months in intensive outpatient therapy. During this time I was on short term disability. I am a fighter; I have never let my circumstances stop me. I returned to work for about two months. Nevertheless, the strings dropped again, were they ever pulled, I am not sure; I spent eight days in hospital. I was out of work again. This time when I returned to work there was no position waiting for me. I was laid off the summer of 2009. I lost it all in one short year.
Remember I am a fighter. I returned to school in July 2009 to obtain a masters degree and I graduated in early 2011. The problem? I obtained a degree and I could not use without further education. I still do not say this out loud. During this time, I landed a part time job as an instructor for students seeking their AAS Human Resources degree. I make a third of the salary I previously did. I have performed this job since April 2010. It is hard. I forget – my memory is not that good. What you have reading are the highlights of my life.
Adult children and BABIES!! Not one baby; two and a one year old. My daughter was in a bad situation in Arizona. She was pregnant with twins, had a one year old daughter, had no car and was being evicted. The dad? Let’s say there is a lot to be desired. She packed as much as she could and moved in with us. Would anyone turn a loved one away in this situation? I could not. I was still drinking. As I write this, I now realize drinking was the one constant in my life. Sad. Her pregnancy had it challenges, but I think this is common. The first snowstorm of the year, December 30th, if you can believe that for Colorado, the babies had enough; my daughter was in labor. We called 911 since the roads were bad. Several hours later we welcomed two healthy baby girls! They will be one year old soon.
New Chapter. How many do we get? My daughter and 18 year old son live with us in our modest home. We clash, how we could not. I have been telling my doctor that I am depressed, damn strings. I can’t sleep and my body hurts so badly; especially when I lay down. Oh, I forgot to mention, no drinking! I quit over a year ago. Regrettably the depression and pain are driving my every moment. I think the puppet master is on vacation. There is no hope. I have been out of work too long. We are waiting for the repo man to get our car. We are barely holding on to the house. How can everything crash so fast and so hard? I am a fighter remember. My mind is full of hopelessness. I have a note that says “Please just let me go”. I am a fighter remember. I call the crisis line. They tell me to call 911. I don’t. I go to bed. Maybe it will be better tomorrow. Not a chance. The same message is repeating over and over in my head; “please let me go”. I tell my family I am driving to the hospital. I do not want anyone to come with me. I go alone.

10 Acres for $8,000 USD

Posted by SchMasHD on 2011-12-21 05:58:53

I am 31 years old with a varied and extensive resume as well as a degree in computer application development (not that that degree is particularly relevant...).
I have found 10 acres of rural land in Alaska.
This land costs $8,000.
I would like to buy the land and build a year round cabin on the property, to live in year round.
I am from a rural background (BC = Before College) and have working knowledge of home building and can gather the required materials from the land and surrounding area for the construction of reliable, comfortable, and sustainable housing. I have done an immense amount of research regarding the accomplishment of my goal (to be independent of today's social requirements) and have formulated a bullet-proof plan to live a comfortable yet remote life away from the hustle and bustle of modern entrapment's and closer to the dream of our ancestors. I am willing to elaborate on my plans regarding the dwelling and the steps I will take to accomplish my goal while sustaining the creature comforts of modern day living.
In addition to my rural upbringing I am also a combat military veteran with working knowledge of para-military and survival tactics.
I have saved enough money to move to the property of my choice from my home state and have also provided for the tools, food, clothing and provisions(including shelter) needed to complete this project, the rest of the requirements of the project will be bought or shipped at or near the building location at my personal expense. I have considered every avenue required to secure financing and have been stopped by my credit alone. Really what matters the most to me is that I will have the opportunity to work for a permanent solution to my financial. social, and economic ills. However, due to my poor credit rating (Thank you 17yr old me) I have been unable to secure financing from "the man" and have been forced to beg of the internet. Please o' please grant me my life... That being said, in addition to the months of preparation I have done, I have secured the willing enlistment of free labor (in the form of an old army buddy) for this project. That being said, with my current financial situation I cannot afford to purchase the land for the cash asking price even though it is 10 acres at a fraction of the price normally requested for that expanse of property. What I am asking for is enough money to purchase the land ($8,000 USD). In return I am willing to spend 2 months every year (during any year) devoted to work for my benefactor for up to 4 consecutive years. Call it hired hand, indentured servitude, slavery, or [insert vague derogatory/demeaning name here]. What matters to me is that if I work my ass off I can be sucessesful. Please O please help me reach my goal. I am at your mercy o awesome and wonderful internet.

Family Needs Immediate Help, going to lose home in 2 weeks!

Posted by ontheedge on 2011-12-05 06:58:22

We desperately need your help!

I feel so bad for having to ask for the help from the kindness of strangers, yet I am at a point where I don’t know what else we can do.

Our lives have been so challenged with enduring so many things, and we always have struggled but survived, yet it gets harder every day...

I’m hoping to find some compassionate people who can help us, with our financial troubles.
It seems that we have been challenged with so many unfortunate/unforeseeable life changing experiences in the past 6 yrs., ...

Which our family has endured, through all of it by working hard, and with our caring, we always help everyone we can, (being care givers in our home for terminally ill family, taking care of a homeless family with small children, surviving the struggles of major health issues, unemployment, losing close family & friends that are now RIP, we have always helped everyone we can, with whatever we have)....... yet now financially, we have put ourselves in a place where we are now desperately needing someone else to help us, who really understands and cares.

As well, with 2 young teenage daughters who are trying to start their own lives; it is so heart breaking when you want to help them, and just don’t have the financial means to help them with what they need so they have a chance for a successful future.

My husband has now recently secured a full time job, and is working as hard as he can, yet it seems like we have just gotten to far behind to catch up; we at risk of losing our own home, my car was repossessed 2 years ago after losing my job, then the motor went in my husbands truck, so we have been left without a vehicle for a year now, our home is in need of repairs, we ran out of money for me to pay tuition for a college course that would get me back to work, as well there are other unpaid bills that have stacked up over the past few years too,........
...... it just seems that we are now going to loose everything that we have worked so hard for all these years.

We just need to find away to get back on our feet, and unfortunately we have no one else to turn to for help,

If any one can offer their help, it would be greatly appreciated.... no gift will be to small..

+ now if we don't come up with $1300.00 within the next 2 weeks, our home is going to be lost to back taxes.

Can someone please help us.....

Loan Request - Please Help!

Posted by Krinkle on 2011-11-17 15:58:39

Greetings.
I am not looking for a handout, but rather a loan. I am currently in a combination of secured and unsecured debt for approximately $35,000.00. I would like to borrow this sum at a rate of 5.497%, with the interest compounding monthly. The length of the loan would be 5 years, with payments made every two weeks (26 payments a year – a total of 130 payments). Each payment would be $308.00 directly deposited from my paycheck to your banking account. This would result in your investment of $35,000.00 turning a profit of $5,040.00 (total payments equaling $40,040.00); that’s a return of $1,008.00 a year.
I have all the legal documents drawn up that would bind me to these conditions, including clear avenues for recouping your investment if I should become insolvent or pass away.
To provide some background – I have been working for the same company for 10 years (nearly 11) and make approximately $74,000.00 gross a year. I am married with two children. I have supported my wife through medical school, residency, fellowship, and (currently) sub-fellowship. After nearly 16 years of school (including undergrad) she is nearly finished (18 more months) and has already signed a letter of intent for employment.
The debt I have accrued (as listed above) is a direct result of the financial burden of her education. Licenses and certifications (and their related tests), training seminars (and their associated expenses), and the dismal pay rate for a resident/fellow, coupled with the financial load of paying back her student loans has put us in an uncomfortable financial position. By allowing me to reign in the smaller, higher rate loans I have taken on will allow us to return to a healthier financial profile instead of being close to bankrupt and unable to pay for rent, electricity, or food.

Please help our son

Posted by beroc on 2011-10-30 20:58:02

My son was home schooled on his last year in high school. He applied to the University of Alaska and was accepted and also was granted financial aid. Being a home school grad, he was required to take a test or GED. He opted to take the test so I agreed to send him to Alaska but he failed it by 2 points. Then he decided to take the GED and attend class Spring 2012. One day when he dropped his friends at school, he was stopped by a policeman (i don't know what for) and then was taken to the police station and detained for questioning for at least 8 hours. He asked to speak to a lawyer 2x but no lawyer was provided and they stopped talking to him. While detained, the police searched his apartment, truck, took his laptop, and cell phone. His apartment and his truck did not have any of the items they were looking for. They released him and 20 minutes later they arrested him. The only evidence the police have so far is that one of defendants also being accused of the same crime stated that my son was involved. This other defendant, come to find out has a record of stealing. My son insist that he did not do this crime and he is innocent and that he was not even in the area when the crime happened. He has an attorney now and has taken a look at my sons’ case. So far the DA has a photo of his truck at a gas station near his apartment at 6 P.M. This is not unusual since this is where buys his diesel fuel. The crime happened between 10-45-11:00 P.M. after the store closed. This is all the evidence so far. I am writing to beg you for a donation to bail out my son until his court date. We are asking donation for the following: his bail is $40,000 which we need $4000 cash and we are putting up our house as collateral for the remaining $30,000. The lawyer fee is $7500 and our balance is $2400. In addition to the bail, court also requires a third party custodian before an inmate can be released on bail. A custodian is someone who will watch over my son 24/7. My husband, daughter and I will be his third party custodians and we will fly to Alaska and set up another household. We need the 3 of us to be custodians because we also have another son who is a senior in high school and we the parents both want to attend his graduation. When we get there, we will go to my sons bond hearing and also for approval of third party custodian. My husband and I will alternate every 30 days so we can see both our sons. When my youngest son graduates, my daughter will be the custodian while we attend the graduation. We also need approximately $3500 for living expense until I get my first check from work. I have secured employment in Alaska and my son will also look for and secure employment. He has been in jail since Sept 20,2011 and we want to bail him out on Nov. 4, 2011. Total donation we are asking for $9900.00. s Can you find it in your heart to donate money to help us?

Help With my rent/Getting back on our feet

Posted by Tgre on 2011-10-25 13:58:21

Have never had to ask for anything. I have always worked hard for what I do have, but I find my family in a very bad space right now. My husband and I relocated with the promise of a good job. We sold some of our belongings and moved 1100 miles from home. We used the money to pay security and first months rent. We also used it for a uhaul to get here. After getting here and settling in, my husband finds out that the man he had met with and secured a job with was a phony. It was a scam. We now find ourselves looking for any type of job. We are'nt picky. We are hardworking. It's just that our due date for our rent came quicker than employment. We can make arrangements to pay back any money that someone is able to help us with. We are behind 1 month and come November it will be 2 months. Thats a total of $1400 we need. As of yesterday I was offered employment. But I will not start for another week and will not get a check for 3 weeks from now. My landlord is mad. My husband and I are stressed and fighting. I have asked for help locally but am told all the money is gone and others tell us we must be residents for at least six months. Please I am begging someone to help us and I will make every effort to pay it back in a timely manner. Thank you so very much.

Help pay for car repair bills so I can move to Tennessee for a job!

Posted by replicant76 on 2011-09-13 13:58:17

I have been unemployed in Ohio for a year and a half and cant find employment to support my wife and daughter and my wifes job does not pay enough to cover all the bills. I have secured a job in Chattanooga and had bought a cheap used car to get there. The car had a clear carfax report and 2 days after I got it I started having issues. First off I noticed that the muffler got really loud so I took it to a mechanic, he informed me that the front and back brakes and rotors were rusted and rotten as well as a lot of hardware under the car, the shifter is also about to break due to rust. Apparently this car must have sat out for who knows how long and everything started to rust with the exception of the body. The total not including the muffler is $750.
Please help, the three of us are at the end of the line and cant pay any bills or our mortgage. I need this car to get to TN. where there is a job waiting for me.
