I am a 23 year old student struggling to make ends meet and get through school. I am in my 4th out of 6 years into a psychology major, I am not working, but looking for work. My current issues getting work have been complicated in part to me being legally deaf, and being in school as well, in the past I did some work as a secretary, but they also needed help answering the phones as well. So I couldn't continue working there for that reason. I am a foster child, so I don't have family, and being a student, most of my friends are broke like I am.

I am in need of a car as the area where I am living is very far from any stores, which is making it difficult to get to school, to buy food, or get to the library for studies, etc. Once I can afford a decent vehicle I will dedicate my time to finding work and getting myself out of the current hole I am in. I now have a bit of cash saved up and am hoping to find something that I don't have to pedal soon, so any help that can be given would be severely appreciated and go a long way to helping me finish school.

Hi, Im Rosa. Im 32, I work full time and live at home so that I can take care of my elderly parents. I have 2 jobs, 1 fulltime (as a secretary) and 1 part-time afterhours work cleaning offices. I believe that we are all responsible for taking care of ourselves and our families. Ive never done this before.

I am raising funds for a human hair natural wig specifically made for Alopecia sufferers. Its a specialty product and very expensive ($700-$900 start price). I am going for the graduated chin length bob style as the longer styles are so expensive.

Every dollar will go towards this, and every dollar counts, please dont feel your contribution wont matter. As someone who budgets my wage down to the last $25 dollars each week, every dollar counts.

I suffer from Alopecia which is unexplained hair loss. I have had this condition for 5 years and it has gradually gotten worse. I have cut my hair very short to minimise fallout, and been to countless doctors and tried every drug and product on the market – all without success. In fact I am paying off a $3000 credit card bill which I spent seeing every specialist I could.

I find going bald at my age humiliating and embarrassing. I work fulltime so its important that I look my best, but thats very hard when you have lost over 45% hair mass. Its inevitable that I will be completely bald except for the back zone which I will probably shave to wear the wig.

Please help me if you can. I sincerely appreciated it.

I lost my job in May, and being the sole breadwinner in our family and also the provider of medical insurance, it has been a struggle. My husband just received his license and has been looking for a job as a massage therapist, but the only jobs he can find are over 80 miles away. We only have one vehicle, and he has taken a job that is supposed to start the middle of October. The office he will be working in has to build a room for him, so it isn't ready yet. I have been looking daily for a job that will pay the bills, but have not found anything yet. I was an executive secretary, but lost my job due to budget cuts. I wish there was a job for me - I have received replies from scammers, or people that want me to sell their insurance for minimum wage, but nothing legitimate that will even come close to paying the mortgage or utilities. The most recent scam is a company saying they want to interview me, but only after I pay for a credit report/IQ test/background check/etc. While we try to find work, we have exhausted our savings. I recently applied for unemployment, but it will not be payable for another 2 weeks. Until then, we have no money for utilities, food or the mortgage. I also just applied for the first time in my life for public assistance, but found out that we do not qualify for anything but $72 in food stamps because I will be receiving unemployment. We will only get the food stamps for this month, because after the $392 unemployment payment begins it takes us over the guideline for assistance. So despite my best efforts, I am reduced to asking for help from complete strangers. I do not want to lost my home, and even though it may sound terrible, I would like to keep my credit from going completely into the toilet. To add to it, our roof started leaking from the last storm and the gutters fell off the south side of the house. We do not own a ladder tall enough to get up there and fix it (30'), and the repairman said it would be $2500 to fix the gutters and roof. I have about $8500 in credit card debt, mostly from Home Depot so we could repair our house. The rest is on my Visa because we have been using that to pay the utilities and get food. We do not have enough room on the Visa to pay for the roof repairs. Can someone help in any way at all? It just seems we cannot catch a break, and we are trying so hard. I just am at my wits end and I feel like we are going under. I don't want to lose the house, and I want to find a job.

I am a young Autistic woman in the USA who is currently on the waiting list to go off to a residential training program. I have completed an office clerical training program in 2009 and am an aspiring secretary, but I do need more training for people with my type of disability. However, I would have to part ways with my desktop PC because there is no internet connection in the dorm rooms. However, there are wi-fi routers in the first floor of the dormitory building where I can have internet access but don't have a laptop PC. This is the state discriminating against a disabled person who cannot afford a laptop to keep contact with loved ones. I am currently on SSI income and am having to pay for emergency dental treatment. I would apperciate a donation of a laptop or an iPad for use when I finally do go off to school. I also would appreciate a new desktop PC donation for my current use at home and in the future. This desktop must be new, Windows 7 with Microsoft Office 2010 (no free trial software), DVD-ROM with burner (CD burner and Blu-Ray drive included), both dial-up and wireless modems,scanner and floppy drive included. I do currently use a Windows XP system, but the latest Microsoft software is now obsolete for Windows XP. Please, please, please help me collect USD 22 000 to get my transcription business out of the hurdles. I'm a single mom of four who worked as a secretary for many years and registered a transcription business in 2008. I have many clients but not offices and proper equipment. I am extremely good at and love what I'm doing. My business can be very profitable if I just get proper equipment and an office. I live in Namibia, Africa.

Me and my fiance have been together well over 3 years. He is in the Navy and is stationed on the Tinker AFB in OKC. I'm from western NY and plane tickets are usually about 300-400 roundtrip. But during the holidays the tickets are 450-600 dollars :(. I work 2 jobs, one at my college school as a secretary but get paid only $8 an hour, && at the Subway in one of our hospitals making only $7.25 an hour. I'm a full time student as a computer science major. Bills are really expensive up here in NY and I can barely afford to put gas in my car, that by the way needs repairs badly :/ . During the week after christmas is the only time my schedule frees me for a whole 7 day week. I really would love to see my fiance because he can not come home for the holidays because E-3's do not make enough $$ and the military does not give any type of disount other then about $15 off for plane tickets (which I believe is STUPID). He also will just be getting back from a special mission trip and I believe me going there will make his holiday season not be so lonely. I dont want him spend the holidays by himself. I cant make it there for thanksgiving or christmas but I believe spending New Years night with him will put a smile on his face. We plan to wed as soon as I graduate with my B.A in computer science in a little over a year. I'm not asking for much, but a few couple dollars would help me ALOT! I'll be completely honest with all of you. My life has not been tough. I have been given many opportunities throughout my 23 years on this earth. Yet at this point I feel as though I have accomplished nothing and regret that I didn't do things differently. I feel like I could have been capable of doing so much more, yet there was always something holding me back. Currently I work as a full time secretary during the day and manage to spend every dime a make without saving. I go to community college at night, and feel as if I will be stuck there forever. At 23 years old one should feel as if they have the world in the palm of their hands. I'm stuck in a rut and am in need to do something drastic. Life just stopped being fun for me many years ago. I am asking for donations so that I have the ability to drastically change my life. Maybe pack up for somewhere far away and leave it all behind. I'm unsure of what that change may be, but I know for sure that life feels meaningless at this point.
