I recently got divorced and my ex-wife took our car that was paid for to leave me with the car that I found out she hadn't made a payment in over a year on it. I thought we were a few months behind and when I ask for the bank payment slips with the bank phone number on it so I could call and arrange a weekly payment schedule to get caught up she didn't know where it was. She had actually thrown it away so I wouldn't find it. Its a small bank the wasn't even in our town so I couldn't drive up there to talk to them. I asked for the bank name so I could google it but she supposedly didn't know. Well about 2 months ago I was at work and the car got towed! I'm stuck without a car and can't work because I have no ride. She had planned to divorce me and then leave me stuck with a car that wasn't being paid for so it would be towed and leave me without means of transportation so I could work. She always paid the car payments and screwed me over so bad. It sucks. I always use to work 2 jobs and made the most money in our household. She had us move back to her home town in a house that her brother and his girlfriend lived with us so that when we got divorced I would be forced to move out. I'm staying with a friend but I pay rent and it's so hard to pay rent and save for a car when I can't make it to work most of the time cause he or his girlfriend are working and their jobs are far away. I would be so happy if someone could help me get back on my feet by getting enough money for a down payment for a car or even enough to buy a really old cheap car that can at least help me to get to and from work ok! Any amount of donations would be so very appreciated. I have linked my PayPal account to this plea for help! I beat cancer 2 years ago so I know if I could beat cancer I can overcome this obstickle with just a little help from some kind hearted generous people! I pray that someone will help me. I'm not looking for $20,000 for a brand new car I just need to raise $500-$1500 so I can use it for a down payment on a decent used car or just buy a running cheap car. I would need a few extra couple hundred dollars for my first insurance payment also. Once I get that I can go back to work full time and pay my payments on my own and also my rent. I my prayers are answer I will be truly blessed and once that happens I will start helping others in need on this site also. If someone helps me it would be only right once I'm back on my feet to help others who could use a helping hand. We all have ups and downs and struggles but sometimes we truly do need just a little help from someone else to get back up!

my truck overheated last sept and i had the engine rebuilt the guy screwed me on the rebuild and on 2/1/12 my truck broke down again ( the engine again )caqn't afford to fix it again and really need something to drive.i'm 60 years old out of work and the closest store to my house is over 5 miles away i just need to get something to drive so maybe i can find a job and get back and forth to the store any help will be appreciated

My story isn't as tragic as a lot of people's on here. I am not ill, no one is dying and I do not have a spouse or family to support.

I am, however, quite simply up shit creek.

As a student I was pretty financially screwed. I worked in a bar but still struggled to pay my rent and bills so I constantly put groceries, bills and general life expenses on my credit card thinking "I'll pay it off when I finish uni".

As the years went by this "I'll pay it off when..." became a mantra and I continued to put various items on credit when I "needed" to. From paying for my round in the pub to trips away and buying books on eBay I now owe around $30,000 I think. I can't even look at my statements any more.

I am now working as a special education teacher, which is a job I love with all my heart, and going to work everyday and making kids happy keeps me going.
Unfortunately my salary is a bit crap, and after rent, bills and food I actually can't pay my minimum repayments on my credit debt. I pay my bills when I get paid and then live off my credit cards because I have no money left.

I have looked into various debt consolidation/IVA/bankruptcy/personal loan options and unfortunately none of them are available to me or going to make my situation any better. I have even recently toyed with the idea of just not paying my debts and letting the debt collectors come after me, but my registered banking address is also my parent's address and the thought of the stress and worry that all of this would cause my parents makes that the worst option of all.

It seems that begging has become my last resort.

Well, where to begin. First let me say that I lost my job abut a year ago and I don't qualify for benefits because the company I worked for never paid my Social security or disability or unemployment insurance to the government. Now I am screwed ... I am in such a deep depression and I find myself falling deeper into a hole as the days go by. I got myself into some legal problems about 12 years ago when my daughter was born and now even that is haunting me right now. I can't get a job because it seems that every place I apply is doing a background check ... I don't want a top government clearance, I just want a damn job. Anyway, I don't want to tell every single thing that's going wrong right now, that's what I need therapy for ..lol. My health is declining, I'm losing weight, even my teeth are starting to decay to the point where very expensive surgery is needed. PLEASE, and I GOD FEARINGLY mean PLEASE, Can someone please help me with a few dollars to help me out of this financial hole I am in. I am not even able to help my children and that is gonna be the death of me. I have a total of three daughter that I need to help. I live in Westchester county in NY and I don't have a car to get around. Everything is dependent on buses and trains and I can't pay for either right now. I tried to get out of this mess with credit but now I owe the credit card companies ... I'm sinking deeper and deeper every day. Please help ... I don't want to die. I just want to be happy and proud of myself. It is so demeaning to ask strangers for help. I could never beg in the streets so I've turned to the cowards way out ... Just Please ... If you can ... Help me.

I have been laid off since October of 2009. The only work I've been able to find is temporary work which may last 1 day or a few weeks. I've exhausted unemployment insurance. I've been applying to at least 15 jobs a day, 7 days a week. I call my network of recruiters every week looking for work but it's hit or miss. I was contracted to a 10 month position that was cut to 3 months. I showed up for work on a Monday and was told that morning that the work flow had slowed down and I wasn't needed anymore. I'm ineligible for a new unemployment claim because I haven't met the income threshold due to not having worked for 2 fiscal quarters prior to my claim which I would have if I wasn't screwed out of the contract position. I was already 2 months late on my rent which is $700, due to unemployment checks not being enough to cover the rent and utilities that come to about $300. I choose between eating or having electricity some months. The loss of this job has royally screwed me! I'm now facing being 3 months behind. I'm facing imminent eviction. I've got no where to store my stuff and no way to pay for storage. I'm waiting for the decision for an interview I had Friday but that's not written in stone that I'll get it. I'm just trying to hold on to me and my son's place to live. ANY thing anyone could donate would be greatly appreciated. I've tried applying to gov't agencies for help but they seem to want you on the street already before they offer any help!
