Need $400 Urgently for Shelter
Posted by cookie08 on 2012-05-09 05:58:05
Greetings from South Africa. I need help from a good samaritan out there. I urgently need about R 2,000 which amounts to about $400 or I will become homeless. I have no parents or siblings as they died when I was 8 and need help.
If there is anyone out there who can help me, I would really appreciate it. You can use Paypal or Western Union.
Thank you and God bless you all.

Can't use FAFSA, Grants, or Federal Monies
Posted by Future-Engineer on 2012-04-24 23:58:19
Background:
I was born in Argentina, but have lived in Texas since I was 5. I had no say in it; my parents decided thatâs what was best for me since Buenos Aires was so crime-ridden. I graduated high school like normal kids, went to a community college right afterwards, and worked part time to cover its costs. I got an Associateâs in Science (Nursing) and then dropped out since I couldn't afford to attend a university nor decide on a major. My GPA was a 3.4 at the time.
I'm now 25, working full time (Geek Squad, canât do much with an associateâs), studying electrical engineering, married to my high school sweetheart, and have my goals set! I just have one thing holding me back...MONEY. Since I backtracked when I changed majors, I had a few sophomore classes to take. I'm finishing them at the same community college, and I'm registered for the Fall semester at the University of Texas at Dallas (Junior level courses). I have gotten nothing but As since I've been back!
Why I Need Your Help:
Now, you may be wondering, why can't I use FAFSA? Well, I recently obtained my permanent residence. That was a big roadblock growing up. One of the agreements I had with our nation was that I would not use federal funds (welfare, food stamps, grants, FAFSA, etc) for the next 10 years. I work full time and attend as many classes as I can per semester; I have no time for lollygagging.
Sallie Mae can only loan me so much, and banks nowadays make it very difficult to borrow from for school. All the scholarships Iâve looked for require either citizenship or full time enrollment, neither of which I am. (Canât enroll full time because I need to work full-time to make ends meet) My father is a construction worker and I donât know my mom, she left us when I was 7. I just sold my laptop on eBay and made myself a cheap one from recycled parts. I've tried getting internships, but I'm not deep enough into my career to be eligible yet. Nearby family members donât have any spare cash, and donât make enough to co-sign a loan for meâ¦.So Iâm here, hoping some kind strangers can help me out.
I am a hard working student, good Samaritan, bilingual, a jokester, drug-free, do calculus in my head, pay taxes, 740 credit score, and drive a broken down Pontiac. My only goal right now is to finish school with flying colors as soon as possible; just need this financial roadblock to meet a wrecking ball.
Will you help me smash it down?

Promising PhD student & Mom- almost done!

Dear Good Samaritan,
I am a single mother and I'm currently a PhD student. I am *so* close to finishing my dissertation...I need about 8-12 months to finish writing. I am seeking people to sponsor through any amount of dollars, this last year of tuition.
Even though Iâve always been a very hard worker, volunteer, loyal employee and dedicated student, my life circumstances have changed dramatically now that I am a single mother and I fear I will not be able to finish school. I *know* that if I could be sponsored to pay this last yearâs tuition and help with my bills I would be able to successfully defend my thesis, apply for a job and become an ever-contributing member of society through helping to educate our future generation. I want to teach.
If you are in a position to help me get this PhD, I would be most appreciative, and I will undoubtedly âpay it forwardâ to others once I get back on my feet. Even if it's only a couple dollars, you will have my sincerest gratitude. Anything you can help me with, big or small will be so appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Best wishes to all.

Request for some funds to passover certain tough time

Dear brothers and sisters,
I am Vijay, an expatriate staying in U.A.E. I lost my job on 16th June 2011. Since then I am trying to get a job, but till today it is not happened, may be because of my age; even though still Iâm optimistic. As an expatriate, company has to cancel my labor card and visa after a grace period of 1month and either can join other company if a job is in hand or leave the country. Because of my humble request, two times company postponed the cancellation and ending the time soon. I donât have my own home in my motherland. Unless a new sponsor who apply for a visa/labor card and is issued by the Government, doing a job here is against law.
My wish was to continue another few years until completion of my childâs education and arrange a job here, so that at least an earning member will be from the family, after me.
Recently a Good Samaritan, who understood my struggle, agreed to arrange a visa (not a job), which will help me to stay here; but doesnât help for an income. All the expenses for the visa must be provided by me. On his visa, I can stay here and search for a job, but donât know how to meet the living costs and other expenses. No insurance to pass over this tough time. How low paid men deposit money for tough times?
Monthly expenses are approximately US$2100, which includes rent, water and electricity, school fee, food-two times/day etc. and not sure how many months more I stay jobless
I hope this is my first and last time request in my life to the man kind to click on the donate button and help me.
I strongly believe that the amount donated now can be given back to needy people through this site or other charity sites in near future.
Thank you very much to all the generous people for any help. May God bless all.

Farming can save me but I need money.
Posted by Proff10432 on 2011-08-30 05:58:52
I've never known what it feels like to live without the thoughts of where would my next meal come form at the back of my mind. I'm as thin as a ghost from starvation and I have next to nothing in terms of clothes. I'm constantly ashamed of myself in the society because poverty has eating off any confidence I had. A way out for me is farming, which can turn my fortunes around in less than 365 days- I've seen it happen. However I need between $1000- $2000 to be able to tap this gold mine. I need good samaritans to help me out so I don't end up a nobody in life-which is my worst nightmare. I don't have a pay pal a/c but here's my liberty reserve a/c: u2241965. However, I'd prefer Western Union Money Transfer as I'm not sure on the credibility of libertyreserve; any good samaritan can contact me on:sundaadejimi@yahoo.com. Thanks and God bless.
I'm Dead Without Money

All my life I've been grappling with a single canker worm. This incurable disease has always been there busily eating away the moorings of my life- callous, unsympathetic and unrelenting. It is responsible for all my troubles: kept me out of school for the past eleven years; ensures that Mum, my three remaining siblings and I are never together in one place since 1997; prevents me from getting married at thirty-six even though there is nothing I crave for now than marriage to my heart throb and have two or three angels in our own little house. I could have done all the above if my father is not this wicked and heartless man who flogged Mom and us the children mercilessly along with other forms of untold cruelty which culminated in his throwing us all out in 1997. I was a genius in school and I had hoped I'll be my loved ones' messiah when I graduate and get a good job. But alas, I had to leave school in 2000 after the first part of a polytechnic education and have not been able to go back since then, thanks to this same single canker worm. Now what is the canker worm? It's not a terminal disease as you might have been thinking. NO it's worse than that! POVERTY is worse than anything in this life! I need help and I need it quick. I want to go back to school, I want to go into farming so I can get rid of poverty in my life. Any good Samaritan should please contact me through this email address (sundayadejimi@yahoo.com). No amount is too small. Please save my soul.

Medical Bills
Posted by KelliMinn on 2011-08-17 23:58:26
Hi,
I am a 25 year old female living in Corvallis OR. I work fulltime, but even that isnt enough to make it at times. I have a lot of medical issues and just recently had surgery. After years of pain, it was found that I have extreme endometriosis in my lower abdominal area and cervix. They also found a 5 cm cyst on my left ovarie that they removed since they thought it could be cancerous. Thank god at work, I recently came eligible for medical benefits, but this unfortunately does not help my past bills. They have finally caught up with me though, which is why I am writting this in the first place. I owe over 10,000 to samaritan. I had no idea I owed this much and now they are trying to garnish me. If I get garnished, there is no way I will be able to survive on just a 600$ paycheck. I am asking if there is anyway I can get some help to pay this bill down and make my payments a little easier. If you understand and have been in the same boat as me before, all i ask is just for a little help.

A Family in Need
Posted by CMurphy1966 on 2011-07-05 09:58:47
Where do I begin? Perhaps I'll begin by saying how awkward I feel writing this - it isn't everyday that I sit down in front of a computer and decide to plead for money online, but with things not going very well I decided to do it for my family. We've been in a downward spiral since the unexpected loss of my full-time job in the end of December 2010 (Happy New Year!!!!). I've been doing what I can to keep the family's head above water, but the rent / utilities are falling behind. I have been frantically searching for an employment solution to no avail - time (and what little we had in savings) has run out. I never in my life imagined being in a situation like this. Well, in the midst of this crisis, my wife and I continue to stand as pillars of strength for one another and for our 9-year-old son, but we're immersed in depths of uncertainty and anxiety. Thankfully, we still find ways to smile to escape the despair. We do hope for a positive result. Perhaps with your generosity, we can find one. I think of the many people who are in similar situations and are asking for help. I cross my fingers hoping that I am one whose request luckily finds you. Please imagine someone placing an hourglass in front of you - they say to you: by the time the sand runs out...that's it...it's over for you. Imagine how overwhelming the fear and anxiety becomes as the sand marks the passing of time - time you no longer have. This is exactly the way I have been feeling lately...ever since I lost my job in the end of December. I have been immersed in anxiety ever since. I search diligently every single day for work to get the family back on the right track - in this economy it seems it really is to no avail. My stress increases as I watch what little we have in savings is whittled down to almost nothing - we are now counting mere pennies. I got so angry and frustrated on my son's last day of school when my car (a 1996 Buick Century) decided it had nothing left to give. I break down crying with envy at times when I hear of someone who has been lucky enough to land a job...get a new car...or receive needed help from a Good Samaritan. With all of the personal stories this website gets on a daily basis, I doubt that mine will reach the right people or impact anyone. But...if by some miracle it does...I want to thank you in advance...from the deepest part of my heart!
At this point, I don't have much to offer. But, I can promise you this. I will pay your generosity forward. I believe very much in the power of giving. I once purchased a handful of groceries for a homeless man who stood on a street corner. I will always remember the look on his face when I approached and handed him a week's worth of food and asked for nothing in return.
Sincerely,
Charlie

I am a Viet-Nam ers vet, disabled since 1995. I am recieving a veterans pension of $985 per month. This is my total income, with this money I pay my bills and mortgage. I do not own a vehicle as it would be too costly, so I depend on my daughter for transportation. Last year her husband was involved in a wreck that killed two people in the other car and mangled him real bad about 15% above FUBAR his recovery is progressing real slow. She is in need of a water well and some home repairs. There is no running water in the house and she is in danger of running afoul of Child Protective Services unless she can get a water well dug and hooked up to the house. She does what she can by working at any job that comes along, but that falls short of the money for a water well. Thank You for taking your time to read this and I pray that there is a good samaritan out there that will help. GOD BLESS and THANK YOU

Hello Good Samaritan!
First I want to say thank you from my heart for taking time to read this out of your busy day! Much love to those who find it in their hearts to help us in whichever way they can. Every dollar helps, no donation is to small. Thanks for your kindness!
I am a disabled, 53 year old mom/grandma to beautiful 7 and 8 year old boys. They are my grandson's, but I have adopted them to try to make a better life for them. I took them under wing at ages of 1 year and the youngest was 1 week old.
Up until now, I have been doing okay by them. I am in the process of getting settled into a rental in Georgia. I came from Michigan, which I now find has much more to offer the disabled or low income family. I moved to Georgia after I found I have to have a leg amputated. I needed to be near someone who could take care of my boys during my hospital stay and recovery.
However, since moving to Georgia, I have had to give up on many benefits I had in Michigan. I have never experienced this type of poverty before! Georgia is a state not inclined to help of the poor. They are the 49th state for having the most homeless children.
I do not want to go on, talking about my woes, as most of you have heard so many crying out or have troubles of your own. If you want to know more, please read my wishes.

Here it goes, my wifes parents where living in Washington State in there RV a 1972 dodge that was falling apart. The winter was approaching so being a good samaritan I spent 1000 dollars + going up and bringing them down to live with us in Oregon. They have been living with me my wife and our kids for the last 9 months. They are having a real hard time in this economy as arnt we all trying to save money to buy a newer RV to live in. I have started a fund to try and generate some money to buy them an RV. They are good folks that are down on there luck, There both in there 50's her mother has social security and has real bad health issues and he spends a lot of time taking care of her. If you all want to help them out please donate anything you can to Paypal ackerman1969@gmail.com God Bless you! My guarantee to you is that 100% of all donated money will go to my wifes parents to get an RV and be able to live on there own again.
