Military Veteran in need for food

Posted by kagne on 2012-05-24 13:58:22

Hi. I was honorably discharged from the Air Force in Jan of this year. I have been unable to find a job. I sadly have applied for unemployment however I was told that since I made money last year I do no qualify. Not sure exactly how that works, but I've talked to 4 different people 4 different times and they have all told me the same thing, I am not qualified. I have bills and I have been eating nothing but bread for the past week. If someone could please send some money to help me get some food I'd really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

My brother doug is a decent Christian man who has never done drugs, drank or smoked cigs--which IM VERY PROUD OF!!! Doug was unfortunetely disabled in an accident where he was bounced out of the back of a moving truck going 85 MPH. He received a settlement but sadly a family member stole it all. My family has helped all we can & would sure love some help for he is living in his van & it gets hot in there & is not safe. I dont have a pay pal acct but will set one up if necessary. Checks can be made out to my brother Doug Ramos & mailed to my address which I will provide to anyone that calls me. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!!

Im Looking For Donations For My Disabled Homeless Brother

Posted by tazbo68 on 2012-05-12 22:58:51

Im searching for anyone who can help my disabled brother Doug Ramos who has been homeless for a year now. He's sold about everything he owned except for his van that he lives in, so he has nothing else to work with to get money to help himself. Im very saddened & stressed out over his situation & I can only do so much because I dont have any income, since Im disabled myself & am waiting on an approval for my SSI & Disability case. So I just came across this website & posted this to hopefully get him some help with money or shelter. My family has done all we can and unfortunetely my dad is still having to work 7 days a week because he cant afford to retire and he doesnt even have enough $ to pay all his bills, so he cant help Doug except for paying for his cell phone & my mom is totally crazy & Doug just finally broke all ties with her which is a blessing. If & when I get my SSI & Disability then I can help my brother more but in the mean time he needs all the help he can get. He bounced out of the back of a moving truck going 85 mph and he received a settlement, since he was badly injured mentally & physically. However, sadly it was stolen from him. He has been struggling to survive and is waiting to get disability as well. He's now staying in his van in Manteca, Calif, so if anyone nearby can help him with a place to stay or feed him that would be awesome & we would appreciate it immensely!!! Doug is a very decent & honest Christian man who has never been on drugs & doesnt even drink alcohol, which Im very proud of!!! If you can help him with donations or a place to stay call me (Tammy Ramos) at (209)481-4792 I live near where he's staying & so it wont be a problem taking any donations to him.I dont have a pay pal acct. but will set one up if necessary.I will also accept donations by mail with checks made out to Doug Ramos so call me & I will give you my address. Thank you & May God Bless You All!!!!!!!!!

Help me save my home!

Posted by camlie on 2012-05-10 07:58:24

Two years ago my husband lost his job. We live in Michigan so finding another job was difficult to say the least. In between loosing his job & finding another we spent every penny we had saved trying to keep up with our mortgage & other bills. Once we got behind, it became impossible to catch up so now we are facing foreclosure. We called our mortgage company & they said that if we can pay them $35,000 by June 15th we will be paid in full & own our home outright! We owe them $110,000 but they are willing to forgive that & accept $35,000!!! If we cant come up with that amount they will foreclose & we will be homeless. We have gone to family members but sadly no one will help us. This is everything to me, I have been so depressed & afraid. What will my children think of me? Please help us, any little bit will help. Thank you & God Bless you!

Desperate!

Posted by missruby on 2012-05-02 07:58:41

Hello,
I am in a situation that sadly, many are in right now. I am working and in school trying to improve our situation. My husband has had his hours cut at his job which has substantially decreased our ability to pay bills. I made the grave mistake of getting caught up in the payday loan loop and I am now at the point where the bulk of my paycheck goes to paying the payday loans!

I have joined a credit counseling program which has streamlined my debts and if I can make the $285 payment per month, I can be debt free in 2 years.

The problem is, with these payday loans looming over me and being obligated to them for over the next year (I have 3 altoghether)I feel that I can never get out of this hole!

Additionally, my company was recently sold and we are due to lose our jobs by the end of this year--which is just too much to even fathom right now.

Any help is appreciated. I would say that the total that I need is $3000 (all 3 payday loans were for $850 apiece--if I can pay them off immediately with the interest where it is now, it would total $3000.

Please help, need money for college!

PLEASE I am Desperate! I am really sorry for the short notice, but Im in sort of a jam. I really really need to get into this college, and the only problem is that although I am elligible for finaincial aid, but I need to pay my new student fee. By the first of May. Which is today. Sadly, I asked the financial aid office if they could use the grant money to pay the fee but they said no. The way I see it is this: If everyone I know would kindly donate a little, then I would be able to pay it. Please, I'll pay you guys back, could you donate using PayPal or something? I made a Fundrazr on facebook but no one has given me anything yet: http://fnd.us/c/aH5n8 via @FundRazr

Trying to clear my debts

Posted by Startinover2012 on 2012-03-29 12:58:30

I am a nurse on a salary that does not cover my outgoings. I am working overtime, selling all my furniture, anything I can at the moment. I walk to work and only food shop once a month or when I can afford too. I don't drink, smoke or go out. Last year my job changed with a reduction in salary. I have now got debts in excess of $10,000. I have consolidated my debts and pay a set amount every month, sometimes I go without food shopping just so I can pay for electric and gas. I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me, I love my nursing job, but sadly I am so low, as I am desperately close to losing my home with the mortgage rate increase and other bills. Please help, I promise to repay those who can help me when I can, Thank you xx

I lost weight but now my body is ruined.

Posted by Emmaroo on 2012-03-21 14:58:25

After the death of my father when I was 12 I started eating for comfort. I was badly bullied at school and eventually dropped out. By the time I was 20 I was 400lbs, unemployed with no prospects.

I decided to go to uni to become a counselor so I could help others, and set my mind to losing weight. I'm 25 now, and have recently hit my goal weight of 140lbs. I did this all through hard work and exercise.

Sadly, my skin never recovered from being so overweight. I hoped that when I lost weight I'd have the confidence to meet someone but I am even more ashamed of my body than ever. The doctor said I wouldn't be able to get any surgery to get rid of the loose skin on the NHS (ironically he said if I'd have gone the gastric band route at a cost to the NHS then I would probably have got funding for this.)

If anyone would like to help me by donating towards my surgery I would be forever grateful. I just want to be able to live a normal life.

Help With Food And If Can With Debt

Posted by Daibido1123 on 2012-03-02 14:58:58

Hello every one, sadly like many I have hit a hard spot financially, due to being on disability. I do not get enough to both pay bills and buy food on, So I pay bills to keep my roof, but I have not enough to buy food for a month, also I have collage debt that has swelled to ruffly $25,000 due to not having enough income to pay it off, I am looking to go back to School, but I need to pay the debt off, also I need help with paying for food for the month of March 2012, I only need $100 for food. The food is as of right now my primary focus. If anyone could help me with the food, and if at all help me with the debt, it would earn my eternal thanks. I have been avoiding doing Panhandling trying to resolve this problem normally, but I have reached a point where I need to ask for the help. Please if anyone can chip in, please do so.

Thank you all.
Hi, I'm Alexandra and I'm 20 year old working college student in San Jose, Ca. I was in a car accident this past sunday, February 19th in Los Angeles while on vacation. I just bought my car all by myself a month ago and thought I succeeded another milestone in life. I have full coverage on my 2006 Honda Accord but my insurance company decided to triple my deductible (not my rate) from $1000 to $3000 so I would basically be paying for my own repairs and medical bills (I have a sprained neck, back, and wrist but luckily I have health insurance). My insurance company left me stranded in the middle of a Los Angeles street with my crashed car. They wouldnt even tow my car back home or to where I was staying. I know it doesnt sound right and I already have filed a case against the insurance company about that with the California Dept of Insurance and with 7 on your side (the news station). I'm basically scrambling to find a mechanics shop to fix my car for a reasonable price since I do not have $3000 upfront. If you dont know how far San Jose is from Los Angeles, that is about an 8 hour drive. I have no way of getting to school or work and sadly I have contemplated quitting school to work a second job which was totally against everything I believe. I dont want to have to end my college career due to this. I honestly do not have anywhere or anyone else to turn to for help. This is basically my last call for help and will be making a decision soon about what to do. I'm only asking for $1500 out of a total of $4500 because I honestly feel bad for having to ask but I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Veteran Husband recently passed away, no where to turn.

Posted by airbrshldy on 2012-02-11 10:58:09

Hi
My husband, who is a Vietnam vet, passed away recently (October 8th, 2011) from Bone and Lung Cancer at home. First of all, he wanted to spend the rest of his life home with me and our pets (three Mini Dachshunds and two kitties). Also, the VA wouldn't be able to control his pain enough so that he could enjoy the remainder of his life so he went under Hospice care. They strive for quality of life and they were amazing.

The problem with that was that when you die at home, the VA covers nothing at all. Had he died in the VA they would've covered his funeral expenses. We didn't have life insurance. He had started a policy, but the bill for the first payment came in on Monday, the 10th. He died Saturday the 8th.

He died here at home and then was placed in the funeral home morgue until we could come up with enough of a down payment for his funeral (I believe it was $2000.00) I still owe something around $5,000. He stayed in that morgue for around three weeks before we could gather up that money. Not a good way to treat a vet at all.

I had left my job to take care of and be with him until he died, this is what he wanted. We didn't have insurance or any kind of state medical help. We lived on his disability check that he received monthly. There are no survivor benefits, VA or Social Security I've been told either. We had only been married a year. We have been together since 2002, but got married Sept. 21, 2010. We had our first anniversary a couple weeks before he died. As far as I know, SS people have told me we must have been married for ten years in order to get any kind of survivor benefits.

We had sold our boat, truck, and spent any money that we had toward our living expenses and to help with down-payment on funeral.

Now, I'm back to work but it is part time, I make $7.50 per hour (sometimes as little as 20 hours every two weeks). Telephone survey taker. I don't qualify for state help other than food stamps.

I've been looking for work since he died and not getting any responses at all. I am on the Michworks website numerous times a day, every day besides checking the local papers, and any other things I can think of.

Right now as I write this, I am due to lose our home (we rented this for the last nine years). My rent was due on the first. I have borrowed money, sold household items, and gotten help from the area charity places that I could. Every month has been a struggle and every month I think "okay, I've gotten the rent paid this month and I SHOULD have a new job by the next time the rent is due", but sadly it is not working that way. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm beginning to lose faith. I absolutely cannot get rid of our pets either. I promised I would never let anything happen to them and I wont. Besides, they are our little ones, our family that we had together. They are also what is keeping me going. I cannot imagine life without them and him too.

I am at the end of my rope now. I didn't want to resort to this and it really is a blow but I don't know what else to do anymore.

I hope that there is someone out there that will read this and be able to help me somehow.

Thank you so much.

Alexa is mother of 4 (3-Amanda, 4-Kasey, 7-Kimberly and 9-Ava years old.

Her 7 year old daughter Kimberly
is currently on dialysis, and has been diagnosed with Leukemia. In July of 2007 Alexis lost her oldest sister when passed away from breast cancer. At that time she took in her two children. Sadly, in June 2008 Alexis’ husband was diagnosed with throat cancer. In October 2008 her husband Michael lost his battle with cancer.

In February of 2009, Alexis and her family moved in with her grandfather. He had recently lost his wife (her grandmother) from heart failure. Shortly after that, he became very ill and suffered 2 strokes. Alexis was working full-time, and taking care of him and her children. He had become very forgetful, and he hadn’t been taking care of his medications. In August of 2010 he had another stroke that was so bad that his mouth completely twisted to one side, and he was in a wheelchair. December of 2010, he suffered a massive stroke and died.

All of Alexis life, she has been a wonderful sister and friend. She has always been there for so many of us when we needed her. The family is struggling to survive daily. Kimberly has been so brave through all of this. Kimberly was born with a deformed kidney that had to be
removed, and she is currently awaiting a transplant. This has been a hard time for her fighting leukemia, and losing her father at 4 years old. Everything has been difficult on the family during this time. Alexis’ has tried everything including collecting cans to make extra money for the family. Kimberly’s excessive medical expenses have made it extremely difficult for the family.

Whatever you are able to donate will be very much appreciated by the family. Every donation will help the family tremendously.
Thank you so much for your support, thoughts and prayers.

mortgage/arrears

Posted by pandypop on 2012-02-06 13:58:13

Hi everyone who reads this!

Where to begin?
life was ok, not amazing but just ok, then we decided to get in over our heads, we lived in a flat with no garden and had 2 kids, so we bought our own home, money became tighter than tight.
Worst thing is when my man lost his job through redundancy!, arrears soon mounted up on everything not just the mortgage!, all other bills grew too!
Sadly it took its toll on us, by this time we had 2 new kids so we totalled a family of 6 at this point and we got very little help.
During this tough time things have fell apart, we have been through some stuff I wont even bring up and almost lost our house over 3 times.
Its almost impossible to get help financially.
My partner managed to find another job, but it was only a temporary position and the debts cant get paid off, feels like it would take an eternity.
Every time the kids ask for something, its the same answer "sorry, cant afford it".
I have suffered from problems with depression for years and my partner finds that as he gets older, manual work takes its toll, he suffered complete paralasis down his left side as a child, nobody here cares, we dont try and claim benefits, we just take what they give us each week and its not a lot, it wont be long before we get threats of eviction proceedings no doubt.
I want to point out that my partner has always worked and I have always been a stay at home mum, we never claimed benefits until he lost his job, we are no scroungers, we want to earn our own money and it was really a downgrading experience for my man to get treated like "just another waste of space" at the local job center!
This whole cyber begging thing, I stumbled upon it quite literally, at first I laughed, thought its seemed silly and funny but then I thought that perhaps it wasn't so dumb, what if someone out there cared enough to help total strangers?

well I dont know what to say other than any offer is welcome?

thanks :)

Please help me clear debt that is drowning me

I’ve never asked for any kind of help before, and certainly not from people that I have never met! But my situation has become so desperate that I really do need help.
I have, for the last 15 years, struggled to make ends meet, following periods of ill-health, bad luck and catastrophic decision making. My circumstances are now very desperate indeed, and have even considered suicide.
In 1997 I suffered from a period of depression, that became so severe that I was forced to give up my job, and borrowed money to cover my mortgage and keep my house. Unfortunately the repayments on this ever increasing debt snowballed, and I found myself unable to meet my mortgage and household bills. I had ploughed my life savings into the home, and lost it all.
In 2006 I was approached by a friend, who was concerned for my financial circumstances, and suggested that we buy an old property, renovate it and sell it for a profit. I was desperate to make some money, and trusted my friend. I would refer you to full details of this in my Beg, as the project ended in complete failure having been ripped off by an unscrupulous builder. Work that should have taken 3 months took in excess of 9, and I ended up carrying out all the work myself. I regularly worked at the house from the early hours until well past midnight. The long hours left me exhausted, and in October 2008 I had a breakdown. I simply couldn’t carry on, and collapsed at work. My employer at the time was an unforgiving and vindictive man, and he said that I would be suspended if my work didn’t improve. I was afraid that I would lose my job, and under considerable psychological pressure from my employer I was forced to resign.
Following the failed business venture, which had plunged me into further debt, my breakdown and subsequent loss of my job, I simply couldn’t cope and pushed me into a long period of depression that became so severe that I planned to take my life. At the time I was so ill that I was unable to hold down a job, and this simply added to my woes - whilst out of work and undergoing intensive counselling I borrowed further. By the end of 2009 I was £15,000 ($23,250) in debt. I desperately want to rebuild my life now, but it is difficult to do so when I am saddled with a debt that is crippling me. Between 2009 and December 2010 my debt increased - there is no answer to it, and I will never ever me able to clear the £18,000 ($27,900) that I now owe. It is a debt that cripples me and prevents me from having a normal, happy life. I am 50 in February 2012, but have no future. I am tired of being worried, stressed, unable to sleep, and being depressed. Please, please help me start my life all over again. Please read my full story, and contact me if you have any questions. Thank you.

Please help me save my dog Monty

My dog Monty is a 10 year old Lhasa Apsos. He's a very healthy dog but unfortuantly is suffering from an immense build up of plaque on his teeth, this has caused further ulcers in his mouth which have burst and bled a great amount! Because of the pain that he is in, he has become very grumpy and grouchy not to mention the smell that comes from his rotting gums. The procedure for him to have the plaque removed will cost £250, my mum sadly can't afford to help him since we are struggling already, I have offered to pay with birthday money but she refuses to take it.
I'm not sure how this site works but I came across it and thought it would be worth a try in order to help my little dog!
Every little helps, even a small donation of 20p would count and we would be so grateful! Thank you!

Help pay bills so I can feed my daughters

Posted by mylife on 2012-01-26 17:58:25

I need help paying my paydayloans that are now in collections. I am late on my bills and trying to pay all my bills of with each paychech like a good dad has resulted in me being broke mostly every two weeks while I get paid and sadly my daughters keep running out of food in the house and no gas in the car that they use to go to school in. I have tried and due to my low income and all the loans I got to stay afloat have made me hit rock bottom. To make matters worst we just lost our home and we had to move before we were evicted and that put a bigger dent in the wallet and has prevented me from paying my insurance and car note because I used that money to pay the rental fees. I need to make about 3600 just to be stable and start off fresh, I hate telling my little girls I have no money for their cereal or their cookies and would like to finally get back on track so please if anybody has some extra means to help my family they would be greatfull and especially myself, thank you.
