I adopted two little boys from foster care; I do not get a subsidy. It is expensive to raise children, and debt has slowly mounted. I do not desire to be rich, just be able to provide better for my kids. They deserve it.

I recently moved from Hellonearth, Oklahoma, to FL to help some people with various problems. Where I came from, my former boss begged/borrowed every last dime of my money(income tax refund from working in MS, before i came back to OK for a girl i had fallen in love with- the feeling was mutual, still is..) The ex-boss 'borrowed' my $500 tax refund under the pretense that she had to feed her children, etc, etc. Turns out she spent it on drugs and casinos instead, and has no intentions of paying it back. The girl I love is now stuck in Hellonearth, OK, because I couldnt afford to get her out here, and then tickets sold out and it was too late.. so she is now pretty much homeless & starving, and I need to save her, but everybody's previously seemingly- good plans are failing for various reasons(attempting to ebay up $ to get her here, but ebay is way too slow + i am new seller + people in OK stole most of what I had intended to auction. I travelled via greuhound, paid in advance by who summoned me to Florida. I do not wish the stress / danger of greyhound for the girl I love, so i need to make about $400 A.S.A.P. because we are both heartbroken and I can't feed or protect her from this far away. The hell in which she's stranded is ovverrun by meth, thieves, etc. and i need to get her to the airport, from 74601 to jacksonville, + gas for whoever takes her to the nearest airport, + food.. I estimate about $400 should cover it. If my former boss didnt beg away my tax refund, my love would already be here, safe, eating, sleeping safely.. If you help me get her safe, I will repay it as soon as I can, +interest or something more than you contributed. So please, if you can help, think of it as an investment, unless you donate anonymously, then think of it as good karma, leading to more good things happening to yoh for helping the poor girl get to this little piece of paradise. yes, we aren't rich, but i can feed her, love her, and make her life happy, I love her and don't want to let her down like eveeyone else keeps doing.

I am a very industrious person, do not waste money, no bad habits, gives to charities where needed and I want to now get out of debt and own my own business. I want to be debt free, help my child through college and continue to help other people.

I have finally found a business that cam make money if we keep it simple. A restaurant.
I’d like to start as soon as possible it is fully equipped and I have an opportunity to make it work. It is our family dream to own and operate a restaurant that offers good food at reasonable prices that people can afford. We will put our menu in front of hundreds if not thousands of hungry people that will be able to afford the low prices for the food we will serve to the community. This is not a get rich quick scheme to price gauge people but to work with their budget and meet their needs.
Our restaurant will be run by well experienced people in the business and a chef that has cooked catered to celebrities, We will start small and establish a business that will be passed down for generations, possibly a franchise.
We will need a small pick up truck, advertise, and be able to stock the restaurant and begin to pay our staff. This will enable me to take charge of my own life, make money, improve my quality of life for my family and contribute more to the community and pay more taxes to help run the country.

I am 22 years old and still studying at uni. I never had money issue before. This was until I got a job which instead of providing for my needs, it has been my biggest nightmare.
I got scammed for over $50,000. Now not only can I hardly afford to pay my rent, I also owe even more money to the bank. I have no idea how long it's going to take for me to pay it all back. I am sure you've heard all sorts of stories and this is a last resort for me but I figured I'd give it a try. I am a mother of 4 children with a husband who is disabled due to seizures. Last year he had 36 seizures in 6 hours and was airvacced to a big city hospital out of our town, since then he lost his job and was told he won't be able to work. I have been at home since 2001 and have had a very hard time finding a job here other than maybe babysitting here and tutoring there. We have a great opportunity being offered to us in Texas but we need to come up with the money to relocate our family. I have sold everything we don't need or we can live without but it's still not enough to pay the remainder of our bills here then make the move and get settled there. We have a job offer as well as a house offer but it still takes money to move our belongings and that is what I am asking for help with. I just want to give my children a better life and where we are now that isn't available. Where we want to move to will not only give them better options in schooling,medical care, but it will also give my husband better access to neurologists. We have one son with Spina Bifida and one with growing problems which will soon result in the need for surgery if he doesn't have access to better options. Anything will help!!! We have never had to ever ask for any type of help and have always been the ones people come to when they need help, but now that we have ran out of our savings and we need the help it seems that all of our "friends" have vanished. I'm a struggling graphic designer in need of a new desktop Machintosh. I'm aiming to raise $1300 to buy a new iMac computer so that I can start designing to complete my portfolio and start applying for work. My last computer failed on me during finals in school. Thanks to my school's computer lab, I was able to finish my work and graduate. That was back in NYC. I couldn't afford living there on my own and had to come to a smaller town to live with parents. I worked minimum wage retail to gain some money, but the physical stress forced me to stop working due to muscle weakness problem I have. A medical affliction caused by a tumor that has been affecting my energy and skeletal/muscle strength for about 7 years. It was hard getting through school with my condition. It was twice as hard having to work on my feet for hours in a retail environment.

Double my misfortune, I live in a place where jobs are hard to come by. A small town which has a lot of developing to do and jobs are far between. I need a car to travel to the nearest grocery store and can't depend on parents to transport me everywhere. This is why a job is so imperative. I'd like to feel fulfilled knowing I'm doing something for my future and earning money to buy my needs. I wish I had the equipment to start looking for work.

I want an iMac more than anything in the world. If I had my iMac, I could update my portfolio, do some online freelance work and help my parents with some bills. I could start applying for jobs from home and not have to rely on my neighbor's iPad to browse the internet. Whenever my family goes to the mall in the weekends, I pass by our local Apple store and I see people walking out of the store with large boxes containing their brand new iMac's, Macbook Pro's or expensive iPad's...and I get angry.

Yes, I know it sounds terrible and I know not everyone buying a computer is a rich business mogul or an overpampered kid whose parents can buy them whatever they want, and they never have to worry about whether they could afford it or not. But it hurts me to know I'm in such a position, that although I am an adult who should be paying her parent's bills, I can't even help myself because I'm unemployed. No thanks to my stupid weak body that can't take a lot of physical strain, no thanks to ending up in a town where I can't get anywhere without having to walk at least two miles, no thanks to not having my computer...

99%? What about the 49%?

I do not believe I have any dedicated followers to this blog that I started about a week ago. I have added to the end of my blogs a donate button and I feel I need to justify the decision to do so. That is what this blog is about, and it probably should have been my first post.

It seems like there are three groups of people in America.

There is the rich. They get tax breaks simply for being rich. The philosophy is that if they spend less on taxes then they will invest it into production and buying stuff and it will “trickle down.” I am all for it if it works. But it doesn’t. They have had their tax breaks for about ten years and there isn’t anything trickling down my way.

Then there is the very poor. They claim to be incapable of working 40 hours a week because of mental or physical issues. They don’t get up very early in the morning, they don’t worry about the way they look. They collect social security, food stamps, unemployment and whatever else they can get for free. I know there are some people that legitimately can not work but I think there are a great deal of people that can and choose not to.

Instead of the 99% movement lets start a 49% movement.1% is uber-wealthy. About 50% pay no taxes and/or are a drain on our society. So that leaves 49%. I am the 49 percent and that fucking sucks! We can’t get ahead and we can’t get a hand.

Let me tell you a little more about myself. I work 60+ hours as a salesperson, which is non-commission based position. There are some things we can sell and if we sell it at a certain margin we can get a “spiff.” Unfortunately I sell building materials and not a lot of people are building right now. Also the the things that you can get a spiff on are high-end items that are difficult to sell in a good economy. I still try like hell though. In the interest of getting as many hours as possible there is no job I will not do or that is too menial. I will sell, I will work out in the yard and drive a forklift, do deliveries, stack lumber, shovel snow, sweep, empty trash, stock shelves, answer the phone,work the register or anything else that will keep me from getting sent home or laid off.

I started this blog about a week ago. I was looking for another way to make money doing something I enjoyed in my “spare” time. As well as working 60 hours a week I am also a divorced dad that takes his kids every weekend. So there isn’t a whole lot of time for a second job. I looked into the Ebay thing and realized I really don’t have anything left to sell.

Also looked into doing surveys. On average you can get a dollar for each 45-60 minute survey you take. I still do this occasionally. If I have time and can find a few that I feel are worth my time. Any little amount helps.

I thought I might eventually be able to monetize this blog by putting up enough content to get advertisers interested. It will probably take several months and a lot of writing before this might be possible. Until then I will keep the donate button on here.

My point here is that I started looking for a way to get my head back above water a week ago and things have gotten far worse since then. I went to the grocery store yesterday and in my estimation prices have gone up close to 25% on most of the things I buy. In a week!

And the price of gas....

My job is about a 25 minute commute from where I live. There is no public transportation where I live and I do not think a 25 minute commute is unreasonable. But even with a car that gets 28 miles to the gallon and gas prices being what they are it is a huge strain on the wallet. They are talking about the price of gas going up twenty cents over one weekend! I topped off yesterday in the hopes of saving two bucks.


I don’t have the answers but it seems like this system of government and politics doesn’t work. We elect a Republican for 4-8 years and when they fail to fix everything we elect a Democrat. They don’t make our problems go away either and in another 4-8 years we try another Republican and so on. Its like having two cartons of milk in the refrigerator. You take a sip of one carton and its sour, you take a sip from the other carton and it is sour too. So you try the first carton again. What? It’s still sour? Weird. Maybe we should try the second carton again....

Come on people! Can’t we get together? We need to throw out the rotten fucking milk, get off our dead asses and get down to the store and buy some fresh fucking milk!

I was already falling behind. Then it only took one small medical emergency and one car repair to put me even further in the hole. Between money I had to put up for office visits, medical procedures that had to be done, car repairs, and lost time at work it cost me over a thousand dollars that I did not have to spend. Now I am possibly facing eviction.

And I know there are people out there that need the money far more than I do. I don’t have cancer, my kids do not need a life-saving medical procedure and I am not living on the streets yet. All I am asking is that if you understand where I am coming from and you like what I have to say help me out and donate a couple of bucks. I am not asking you to “give until it hurts,” and if you don’t have it to give then I don’t want it.

If you can’t help me out by donating money, then help me out by sounding off in the comments and telling me how I can make this blog better or what I should do different. I openly welcome harsh criticism and all opposing viewpoints.

I am not looking for millions of dollars, thousands of dollars or even hundreds of dollars. I would be very happy with tens of dollars. Ten bucks accumulated over a week from several people would be a huge shot in the arm right now. If I made an extra ten bucks from donations it would buy me enough gas to get back and forth to work for two days. Or it would cover the rising cost of my grocery bill. Right now that would be huge.

Give what you can. Every penny counts. Or offer your suggestions or both. Donate some obscure amount and put that same amount in the comments or send me an email telling me the obscure amount you donated and I will reply personally to those comments and emails. Hello, usually I'd be much too proud to beg and if it was only me, I'd only eat 3 meals a week in order to just save any dollar I make doing odd jobs, but I have a 4 month old daughter to support and because I couldn't scrounge up the money to pay the electric bill, I have no heat. So for almost a week now, she's had to stay with my mom and I don't see any other way to bring her home other than on the kindness of strangers like yourself. I'm not just some bum who wants to get rich without working, I've been actively pursuing jobs for the past 2 months and just need a little to hold my family over. Every bit helps! Thanks in advance.

Ava is our adorable pup that we adopted through the
Penny Foundation. Ava is a rescue dog from Mexico. She has filled our
lives with joy and happiness. Ava turned one year old in February. She
is a very active, playful pup who is full of life. A month ago, the exuberant Ava was playing in our backyard. She slipped, and ripped a
tendon in her right hind leg. Upon initial vet exam, she was deemed
fine. However, the condition persisted and she refused to play or go
for walks (VERY unusual for Ava). We took her to a different vet a week
later, and the diagnosis came in – Ava would require surgery. There was
no other option. The injury would not heal on its own. The vet told us
that Ava’s breed is prone to this type of injury. We were very sad to
hear this, as Ava is so young and the surgery would require two months
of recovery time. The surgery is also expensive – $3000 minimum. My
husband and I are not rich people, and are therefore trying to raise
some money to go towards Ava’s surgery. Any amount will help. We want
Ava to make a full recovery, and get back to her normal, fun, playful
puppy lifestyle. The vet told us the prognosis after surgery is very
good, and that Ava should return to full function. Please help Ava.

Without telling you my whole life story and perhaps making you cry for hours, I'll highlight some of the big things that led me to this site.

I grew up with one parent. My mother, who struggled to make ends meet working as a CNA. When I was 16 I had two jobs to help with the bills my mom had.

When I was seventeen I was sexually assaulted by a supposed friend and conceived a child which I of course kept. I had my daughter only four days after graduating high school with very good grades.

Went to College for criminal justice in hopes of becoming a law enforcement officer or work at a correctional facility. Then I met a guy I fell in love with, we had a child together. He asked me to Marry him, and then 6 months after we got engaged, left me for someone ten years younger than me.

Here I sit. Single Mom, two kids. I did graduate college, and get a job in my field, however that isn't helping at all with catching up on all the bills my ex left me with and my student loan debt which is in default because I'm going paycheck to paycheck.

I don't qualify for any type of help, I wanted to file bankruptcy however an attorney is at least a thousand dollars which would take me like two years to save up for so I'm trying to file that myself to help my situation. My family is dysfunctional and I have no rich uncles or grandparents.

I dont understand why god thinks I have such strong shoulders! I can't carry this burden of life I have. It seems like there isn't a way out!! I'm facing losing my home, my paychecks that keep me going due to student loan ganishments, and I'm so stressed out I ant even think most days. How did I get here? I ask myself if I'm that bad of a person Karma has to hold me down and suffocate me?

I wish I could get any kind of help in life, even someone to tell me what to do!! I tried donating plasma but they kicked me out because my veins roll, I can't get anyone to hire me for a second job with the hours I work, and damnit my life just flipping sucks!!!!
