Post a Beg Now!

Donations to help a family in need!!

Posted by Mothermaid1 on 2012-05-23 10:58:20

I find myself embarrassed as I am typing this note. I am a mother of three boys who has been out of work for over 2 years. Every day I beg agencies for work, any type of work! I post my resume and apply for jobs every morning. I owe income tax money, college money, private school tuition, mortgage, gas and electric and the list goes on and on. I sell on eBay and try my b.set every day just to wake up depressed feeling like a failure. I have been abused for years and am loosing my mind. I know you may find this difficult to believe but this is a true story! Any help at all possible would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thank you for even taking the time to read my story and feel my pain!
I'm a single mother aged 35. I've lived in California for almost 14 years ( it will be 15 this year on memorial day weekend.)
I’m going to be a little blunt, because I'm tired and I want to give up so bad, but I can't. I'm better than that and my kids are my motivator. I wake up everyday and remind myself of 2 things :1) Faith is what you have when you all your beliefs are blown to hell. 2) What doesn't kill you makes you stronger -Nietzsche

I am a 35 year old educated, ambitious, head strong woman. I have owned my own business with my soon to be ex. I know what hard work and determination are. I went to private school and I am educated. I value my community and have always given back and will continue to do so. I also know that I have the drive and determination to get myself back on track. I'm not ASKING for a handout, I'm asking for help up! I also know what loss is. I don't have the business, a house or EVEN the car anymore. We lost everything. He bounced back , I didn’t. All I have is HOPE, that someone or some program can help me carve a path back to self sufficiency.
It's gone continually downhill.I am amazed at the allotment of programs for both housing and employment for all different walks of life. However, what about those that are just struggling. No hang ups, no record, just struggling and are LOW INCOME. I'm not writing this to make you feel sorry, I'm writing this because I have exhausted possibilities that I have researched both on my own or been given the information to do the work with.
There are people who struggle everyday through no fault of their own. They don't want a hand out, but help up would be a relief. Society doesn't need band-aids they need solutions.
Not every county, city or state program fits everyone's needs.
First of all Section 8 has been closed since BEFORE I left my marriage so that idea could never work. The list has been closed for years. Because I have limited time with my children, I do not qualify for CALWORKS. I have tried getting assistance in every way possible. I had very little unemployment left since I have been struggling to find work. I was delayed for about 3 months because they needed verification and I had to appeal and request a hearing. I have won my appeal but will only receive $91/week and for a short period of time.
I took a project management class through WIA in 2011, and I was able to get CTB benefits. I NEED HELP. I have hit the absolute worst point in my life and still refuse to give up. I have been looking for work and am now HOMELESS.I am in week 3 of staying in an extended stay hotel (paid for by my mother back east, who makes maybe $26,000/yr in PA) I recently sold my car because I needed to pay bills and rent. I have maybe $75 to my name.
The fact that they say there are services for low income/ homeless is frustrating. I say this because there is no category for me. I'm not a drug addict or in recovery. I don't have a mental illness. I wasn't in prison, I don’t' even have a RECORD. I can proudly say I've never been arrested or even in the back of a cop car. I'm not a victim of domestic violence and I do not beat my kids. Why aren't there programs in place for single parents struggling to make it? Everyday people that are responsible and respectable. I understand the need to assist those that may not have the capacity to take care of themselves. However, I have a huge problem with the fact that Santa Clara County & all programs (private, govt or state funded) will rehabilitate and reintroduced felons into the community, but if you're poor, homeless, no record, are looking for work, have high intelligence; sorry, you can't get help. This sounds extremely cynical and jaded, but I am a little after going through all I have.
I have been told constantly “I wish I could do something but we don't have any programs to help you.” My favorite reply is: "Yeah and you have done everything. I'm surprised you even knew about all the programs you did"
I have talked to employment counselors, program coordinators, program advocates and case managers, volunteers, just about anyone. The bankruptcy is hindering my chances of securing housing, even if I had employment.

The icing on the cake has to be with food stamps and General Assistance. I qualified for Cal-Fresh. However, at the time I had a car worth $2200. So I wasn't able to get General Assistance. Fast Forward a year later, I HAD to sell my car to pay bills. Now this month when I went for General Assistance, I qualify.

It's a never ending cycle, a constant push down. I can take public transportation to work, but to get around and see my boys and being able to transport them would be extremely difficult, not to mention financially stressing. I have scoured employment books, read articles, searched the library, spent hours online trying to find a job, program, a company, anybody who could be a resource whether for low income assistance or employment.
I can probably tell you about a plethora of services this county (Santa Clara) offers for both income assistance and job services.I am registered with CALJOBS; I know all the career sites and have my resume there. I get interviews, however I am starting to think the bankruptcy from loss of business is holding me back when employers do background check.
I also could teach the business writing class or the resume writing classes they offer at Work2Future, I practically did when I took them. I could do the same at Sacred Heart. I've been to InnVision and EHC. I’ve talked to Sunnyvale Community Services. Boy he was a treat he sounded older then my 80 yr old grandma. When I said I need housing and employment help, he gruffly told me to check the newspaper and hung up. I've called St Josephs in Gilroy. I've talked to a program coordinator at West Valley Community Services. I called the Sobrato Organization hoping they had ties to something and one the employees just by grace of god happened to pick up and take my call. I was able to talk to someone at HIF (they couldn't help)
.
I am responsible, respectable and just want to work, have a place to live, and be able to have my children 50/50. I have no police record. I am not in recovery, nor have I ever had to be in a program
I want to work and am attaching a compilation of ALL my work skills. I would not send this out otherwise, I would tailor it specifically to the job I am applying for.

I used to volunteer as much as I could I like being active in my community and helping others. I'm still about that I believe in PAY IT FORWARD. I believe the good you do comes back to you tenfold and that no matter what is going wrong in your life, someone else is struggling just as much if not more; so be thankful for what you have.
I attend church and was a hospitality volunteer for that as well.
I just need help getting on my feet. I have no family, other than my children here in CA.
I do not want to move back east and be far away from them. I want to work, I want to live again. I want to smile and mean it.

I hate what my life has become and know that I am SO MUCH BETTER THEN THIS.
Please help me : money is fine, but it's only a temporary fix, please help me find a program that can assist me in getting on my feet, direct me to employment, and most of all afford me the opportunity to have my children much more consistently so I can be a mom again.
Thank you
Courtney DiMiceli

I need to make $200 per month to pay off my loan please help!

Hello Everyone
I am a woman with cerebral palsy who is wheelchair-bound. I am looking for part-time employment. I have a bachelors of science in criminal justice. I also have some postgraduate training in public administration. I am looking for employment because I have to repay a $10,000 loan I took out my graduate education. Unfortunately I was unable to complete my graduate degree because I became ill. Now that I have recovered I would like to have steady work so that I can pay off my loan debt and hopefully once that is paid off return to school so I can fulfill my lifelong dream of helping military veterans have a better quality of life. Because of Medicaid restrictions I can only make $200 per month without losing my benefits. While I was in graduate school I worked alongside the veterans organization at my university where I performed budgeting and other administrative tasks. I have a resume available upon request. If you are interested in hiring me please e-mail me at donanausmc@gmail.com
Thank you for your time and consideration everyone
Sincerely Aydan

HELP FOR BUSINESS

Posted by sal64 on 2012-02-28 04:58:22

Dear Helper,

I had been unemployed for 3 years and could see no hope of finding a job so decided to start my own business media4web.co.uk, producing web video for small businesses to promote their products and services.

The little money I had went on purchasing a video camera, a fundamental tool for my work. However, last week whilst travelling back from a client, I was mugged and my camera and all accessories were stolen. I have no hope of ever seeing these again :-(.

I now have no camera and back to square one. The camera I need is £600 which is the minimum specification that i must have, I have £300 and to find the other £300 quickly so that I can resume my business. Can some kind people please help??

Thanking you all for your kind attention and support.

Sal.

Hello Everyone,

This is not anything that I ever thouhgt I would need to do. But after moving to Denver in October, my disabled husband and my self have run out of our savings. We are down to our last $40.00. I am wiling to work if anyone has a job for me, I have executive level experience and would be happy to send you my resume. Right now, we only have enough money to pay for my husbands perscription or buy food. Without my husbands perscription he suffers from Gran Mal Seisures. These are verry scary to watch if you have never seen someone you love have one. They stop breathing for sometimes as long as 6 minutes. I am 40 years old and willing to work. I jsut have not been able to even get 1 interview since I have been in Denver. Anything that you can donate would be greatly appreciated! God Bless You! Sincerely,

Family In Crisis Needs Your Support

Posted by hurtinbad on 2012-02-07 16:58:24

I have been unemployed for many months. I try to put food on the table with side jobs and helping others in the meantime. I've spent many sleepless nights sending out my resume in hopes to find a job. I'm 41 years old and have my 20 year old daughter and step son living with me. She is pregnant and due in a few months. My step son does work but it's very low pay. Nobody will hire my daughter while she is pregnant. If all this is not enough, now we must find a new place to live because our land lord has sold the property. We can pay our bills but do not have the money to relocate into another home. We need funds to find a new place and move from our existing home.

As I fall upon my faith in the Lord I pray he sends us help through these trying times. I have prayed for help and the answer to reach out to those on the net has presented itself to me. I am not looking to scam anyone's hard eared money. My family needs help plain and simple. If we don't find a way, we will be homeless:(
If you feel you can spare a few dollars to help us raise the funds to move, please donate it to us through PayPal. Any amount will help us toward another place to call home. Thank You for your kindness in advanced. God Bless All.

**BATTERED SINGLE, HOMELESS MOTHER OF TWO**

Posted by charlyfran2008 on 2012-02-05 14:58:47

Hello. I am newly (8 weeks ago) single mother of 2 boys (ages 3, 6) and I have recently left my abusive husband. I remained in the relationship for 7 years and am have just now gotten the courage and willpower to leave. The relationship and the last beating before I left (by far the worst) left me 75 percent unable to see in my right eye. This has resulted in us being homeless with no financial help or backing.
I no longer qualify for TANF (WELFARE) and all I get is food stamps once a month. We are currently residing in a homeless shelter in downtown St. Louis where we have to leave every morning at 6 am (rain, snow, or shine). I go to the library with my children daily and we read together just to get out of the cold. I am happy to be free from years of abuse, but at the same time I am severely depressed because of my living and financial situation.
My wish is to get funds for one month at a studio extended stay hotel, funds for interview clothes (I have gotten several interviews and then when I go, they HR reps are immediately turned off by my unkempt, worn and inappropriate so called interview attire), funds for a bus pass to get to more interviews (I walk for now), and funds for minor toiletries. I know that with my resume and decent interview attire that I can get a decent full time job within one month's time.
It would help so much toward my short term goal, which is to attain full time stable employment and provide a stable and healthy living situation for my two boys. Thanks so much in advance and I appreciate all help and donations, no matter how big or small. Feel free to send all donations to paypal account name charlyfran2008@hotmail.com

homeless senior lady needs rental and job

Posted by menandmydog on 2012-02-02 09:58:21

In 1998 I found my mother. I was born in Germany and given up for adoption. Our story hit the newspapers in December 1998 in Idaho. I was elated. In 2005 I left my job and moved to her town, believing there were many job opportunities there. I wanted so badly to be close to her. To make a long story short, she is not the person I dreamed she was and am now living in my van with my dog. I have had to get my SSI early, and do not have enough income to rent a place to live. I am willing to move anywhere for a job, but do not have enough travel money. I thought I didn't know how to be homeless, but it's amazing the steps a mind goes through to get accustomed to a situation. I can supply a resume upon request. Please help me. Thank you in advance

Single Dad trying to stay afloat

Posted by bthumudo on 2011-12-28 15:58:49

Not to proud when it comes to taking care of my daughter. It's been a rough couple years. The best part of it all is my beautiful 4 year old daughter who is my world. I fought and lost a lot to get custody of her but it was worth every penny. Thanks to her mother I lost a lot, my home, my car, thousands of dollars worth of possessions because of her drinking and drug use.

I've worked 2 jobs for 3 1/2 years to make ends meet. It's my daughter and I in a 1 bedroom apt, with a car that makes me wonder some mornings. I've had my house foreclosed on, had to file bankruptcy and had the bank remove items before they were legally able. That's another story.

Regardless, I am a hard worker and at the suggestion of a friend took a job here in Cincinnati with a company. Everything was great, salary etc finally, until 2 months after I started. They fired the CIO and my hiring Director. Brought in a new CIO who basically is cleaning house. Not based on performance, but on financial reasons. Therefore, my entire dept is being outsourced to Lima Peru. After the first of the year I may be without a job.

I'm kicking myself for leaving my last job. Sure finance wise it was a struggle but I was doing it. Now I'm not sleeping, worried sick as to what I'm going to do. I'm not looking for handouts, I would rather a good paying stable job in this area or maybe someone to critique my resume and maybe beef it up so to speak. I'm an IT Project Manager with almost 10 years experience but can't afford, nor have the time to get my PMP with working 2 jobs and all.

Any help is appreciated and will definitely pay it forward once I have the means.

Thank you for reading and God bless

In need of work!

6 months ago we responded to an ad on Craigslist. It was for property managers in Fl. We accepted the position sight unseen and in good faith. With my wifes health getting worse and having a hard time working. This seemed like a good thing. We took our savings and left for Florida. Well when we got there it turned out to be a scam. Lesson very well learned! We ended up in south Ga with her sister. I recently started a job that requires travel. our car is up for repossession due to our payments falling behind. I have tried to make payments when I started working and they said it was to late so I am using the car till they come and take it. We have financed 2 other cars with them and always on time. I wonder if the people that work in those places ever fell on hard times. I am not sure if that is the right thing but I honestly did try to catch up. When they take my car I will not be able to travel. This job is not very steady but it is work till I find another. I am looking for work in the Albany Ga area. If anyone from this area reads please consider me. I have a good work history and can provide a resume. I have posted many resumes and have responses from many scammers. I have learned there are very few ads on craigslist that are not scams. Also if anyone knows of a cheap car around this area please let me know You can contact me at ludavis1956@gmail.com. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Pregnant, Sick, and Desperate! Please Help!

Posted by stressedtothemax on 2011-12-24 23:58:59

Hello... I am hesitant to post this as it feels a bit shameful and embarrassing. But times are extremely desperate and as the clock ticks, time is running out. I am a newly diagnosed HIV positive woman who is also pregnant with some other health issues as well. I've been unemployed for some time, and regardless of sending out my resume and filling out countless applications daily, I have been unable to obtain a job. I recently received a notice that if I don't come up with $3000 by January, my home will be put in foreclosure. I have hardly enough in my bank account for groceries, let alone any other bills and had the gas/hot water shut off just a few days ago. Things just keep getting worse! I'm willing to do anything I can for work, but so far no legit offers have come through. At this point, I am completely desperate. I don't want to be out on the street sick and pregnant. I have no family to back me up and am pretty much alone. So now I've reduced myself to begging. Begging for employment or any help anyone can give period. Nothing is too small. If anyone can find it in their heart to help at all, I've included a paypal link. Please don't judge me. I am not lazy, do not use illegal drugs or participate in any illegal behavior and I do not feel good posting this. Times are just so tough and the stress is killing me. I just want to keep my home! I want to To any one that can help, thank you... so, so much. It will be VERY much appreciated.

10 Acres for $8,000 USD

Posted by SchMasHD on 2011-12-21 05:58:53

I am 31 years old with a varied and extensive resume as well as a degree in computer application development (not that that degree is particularly relevant...).
I have found 10 acres of rural land in Alaska.
This land costs $8,000.
I would like to buy the land and build a year round cabin on the property, to live in year round.
I am from a rural background (BC = Before College) and have working knowledge of home building and can gather the required materials from the land and surrounding area for the construction of reliable, comfortable, and sustainable housing. I have done an immense amount of research regarding the accomplishment of my goal (to be independent of today's social requirements) and have formulated a bullet-proof plan to live a comfortable yet remote life away from the hustle and bustle of modern entrapment's and closer to the dream of our ancestors. I am willing to elaborate on my plans regarding the dwelling and the steps I will take to accomplish my goal while sustaining the creature comforts of modern day living.
In addition to my rural upbringing I am also a combat military veteran with working knowledge of para-military and survival tactics.
I have saved enough money to move to the property of my choice from my home state and have also provided for the tools, food, clothing and provisions(including shelter) needed to complete this project, the rest of the requirements of the project will be bought or shipped at or near the building location at my personal expense. I have considered every avenue required to secure financing and have been stopped by my credit alone. Really what matters the most to me is that I will have the opportunity to work for a permanent solution to my financial. social, and economic ills. However, due to my poor credit rating (Thank you 17yr old me) I have been unable to secure financing from "the man" and have been forced to beg of the internet. Please o' please grant me my life... That being said, in addition to the months of preparation I have done, I have secured the willing enlistment of free labor (in the form of an old army buddy) for this project. That being said, with my current financial situation I cannot afford to purchase the land for the cash asking price even though it is 10 acres at a fraction of the price normally requested for that expanse of property. What I am asking for is enough money to purchase the land ($8,000 USD). In return I am willing to spend 2 months every year (during any year) devoted to work for my benefactor for up to 4 consecutive years. Call it hired hand, indentured servitude, slavery, or [insert vague derogatory/demeaning name here]. What matters to me is that if I work my ass off I can be sucessesful. Please O please help me reach my goal. I am at your mercy o awesome and wonderful internet.

I am 31 years old with a varied and extensive resume as well as a degree in computer application development (not that that degree is particularly relevant...).
I have found 10 acres of rural land in Alaska.
This land costs $8,000.
I would like to buy the land and build a year round cabin on the property.
I am willing to elaborate on my plans regarding the dwelling and the steps I will take to accomplish my goal and while sustaining the creature comforts of modern day living.
In addition to my rural upbringing I am also a combat military veteran with working knowledge of para-military and survival tactics.
I have saved enough money to move to the property of my choice from my home state and have also provided for the tools, food, clothing and provisions(including shelter) needed to complete this , the rest of the requirements of the project to be bought or shipped at or near the building location at my personal expense. I have considered every avenue required to secure financing, it doesn't matter to me, what matters the most is that I will have the opportunity to work for a permanent solution to my financial. social, and economic ills. In return I am willing to spend 2 months every year (during any season) devoted to work for my benefactor for up to 4 consecutive years. Call it hired hand, indentured servitude, slavery, or [insert vague derogatory name here]. What matters to me is that if I work my ass off I can be sucessesful. Please O please help me reach my goal.

Need help paying house taxes

Posted by homeowner on 2011-10-15 07:58:58

We live in a small, cheap, dumpy house, but its our home. Its nothing fancy, its small, and we are crowded in here. We are two years behind in taxes because we both lost our jobs last year. My husband was self employed, and the due to the economy in michigan we had to close down. So, no unemployment. I worked two part-time jobs, and lost both of them. again, no unemployment. We have been living off savings, and selling stuff, but it isnt enough. My husband has put in over 150 resume's, I have put in a 103. No one wants to hire people in their 40's and 50's when they can hire someone in their 20's or 30's.

We just got a notice our house will go up for tax sale in March if we dont pay $1,700. We cant get a loan without employment. Our house payment is cheaper than rent, so selling isnt much of an option, especially since the market here is so down, I doubt we could even find a buyer. We don't expect to get $1700 obviously, but even if we could get something to put down on it and buy us some time.

We have three kids, our cars are 13 years old, and we have never bought new anything. We never lived off credit cards or run ourselves into debt. I shop at thrift stores, and coupon for groceries. Its not a matter of wasting our money, but being unable to stretch what we have to cover this. I'm sure there are millions of families just like ours. I promise that if we get help, we will pay it forward once we are back on our feet.

Desparate Student

Posted by purposefinder on 2011-10-14 11:58:42

Hey,
I’m a desperate student looking for work and a loan to help me with my continuing with my education. I’m not a lazy person who is looking for handouts. I have applied for countless jobs (even at McDonald’s) and still haven’t received a call back. I’ve gone to numerous employment staffing agencies with my resume and took typing test but have not been offered a job. I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science but had to go back to school because I couldn’t find a job and did not want to get dropped from my mom’s insurance just in case I got sick or something. I had to continue with school too because I haven’t found a job to pay back my tuition. I have to commute back and forth to school which is in Atlanta two hours a day getting up around 4:00am to be to class on time at 5:45. My car is old and needs major work and may not make it if I don’t do something about it soon. I may have to start sleeping in my car at school because the tires are so bad and gas is so high that I don’t want to take the risk of not making it to school where I have paid for this semester. I’ve exhausted my financial aid and had to force my mom to get a loan at her credit union (she also has bad credit and cannot cosign with me to get a loan for myself) that will pay for me till December. I’m in Atlanta trying to get an Associate’s degree in Culinary and another bachelor’s in Nutrition. My dream is to work as a Registered Dietitian and have my own business as a small restaurant owner. If you were to help me please send your donations to my PayPal account or if you would like to talk to me some more about my situation please email me at vintagenights@aol.com. If you were to help me I would be indebted to you for life. Whenever I’m able to get on my feet I will pay you back if you requested. Please send your first name and email so that I can never forget you and remain in contact when I’m able to give back. Thank you.

BREAST CANCER PATIENT NEED FINANCIAL HELP!

Posted by pattya on 2011-10-11 13:58:02

I need help more than ever now. My landlord just gave me an eviction notice last night because I'm two months behind on the rent. I have a storage unit in Vista, CA with what little I own in there and I just got a call Sunday that everything in my unit is going to be auctioned off Oct. 15th if I don't get that rent up to date. I owe about $400 on that. Because of my breast cancer and other medical problems I applied for State Disability, which I've been turned down twice for. Last week I had a hearing in San Diego and lost. I guess I'm not disabled enough in their eyes. I'm looking for a job as a Bookkeeper or Administrative Asst. but the unemployment rate in CA if now over 12%. If there is anything you can do to help it would be greatly appreciated. God bless you.

I've been going through breast cancer for the last 15 months. Although I'm now cancer free, the aftermath, the pain, the numbness, humility of having only one breast is worse than when I was going through chemo. At least at that time I was getting some help from a cancer organization based out of Orange County, but they serve San Diego County also. I'm a 58 single woman with no husband, no kids and no one to take care of me but myself. Although I'm emotionally ready to work only part time right now, I was recently hired and working 15 hours a week…. Not much. It’s not enough to pay my rent, put gas in my old van, let alone go out to dinner or a movie with a friend. My resume is on craigslist and I have a great deal of administrative and bookkeeping experience. I have about $2 to my name, my rent is past due and I have no money for gas. My cell phone needs a "Straight Talk” phone card every 30 days I purchase at Wal-mart (which is $45). I'm not getting any help from any organization, I’ve been turned down three times for disability and I can’t apply anymore. I don't know where to turn. I drive a 16 year old van with a transmission that is failing and it cost $90 to fill the tank. I don't want to be homeless again. My rent is $700 a month and I have none of it. I’m now two months behind. The landlord has already given me an eviction notice and I like where I live. I was told God would take care of me. I pray a lot but I feel my prayers fall on deaf ears. I don't know who to turn to or how to ask for help so I’m just putting it out there. Can anyone help me please? I you know of any organizations or individual who are able to help without being strapped themselves, that would be greatly appreciated. Even if several churches helped me with $125 to $150 each (Paid to the landlord, not me, a gas card or Wal-Mart card) that would solve my immediate dilemma. Please feel free to call or email me. Thank you & GOD bless.

If you or anyone you know is looking for an assistant in the Cleveland, OH/Erie, PA area, please contact me and I will be happy to forward my resume. I desperately want to work, and would love to discuss the possibilities.

Single Mother Cancer Survivor Need help to help myself

Posted by LilShaa on 2011-08-12 01:58:38

I need whatever assistance anyone can afford. I want to obtain a cheap reliable used car or the down to buy one, so that I can accept job interviews. I also want help with $, so I can obtain a legal document assistant license, in my area. I want a way to make some money, utilizing the legal research skills I have, while I seek a more permanent source of income. My local area is very economically depressed, which is why I am seeking out of town good paying jobs. I have had to cancel countless interviews, for lack of transportation, which leaves me feeling hopeless.

This downward spiral began, when I was diagnosed with cancer, 10 plus years ago. Instead of being able to gain valuable work experience, I was forced to fight for my life, upon college graduation. The gap on my resume, is not easy to explain away. I have tried to work temporary jobs, and have even worked as a substitute teacher. I would take just any job, but cannot afford to lose life-saving medicine, if my state provided medical benefits were cut, due to a job that would not offer them or the ability to purchase them. I thought subbing would offer me the chance to gain working experience, but I had to stop, due to a custody battle, waged against me, by my vindictive ex and his legal associates. They also waged numerous phony allegations, about me, with various agencies, one of which is the one which oversaw my employment. Despite nothing coming of the allegations, the agency overseeing my employment, sat on the matter/s for years now, which has left me in limbo, with no means to clear my good name, and no income source. This further added to my resume experience gap. It is nothing I can explain to potential employers, either.

The past several years has been difficult with all the medical and legal issues, both mine and my younger child's. My sibling was sent to war around the same time my parent committed suicide. This also cost me financially and mentally. My car was repossessed, destroying my credit rating further. This has hindered my ability to attend interviews, and even bar me from some opportunities, due to poor credit. The icing on the cake- the family court rewarded my ex for quitting a higher paying job. They cut his child support payment in half, for my 6 year old. Recently I had to move into a new place, and now owe money for the deposit. I had to use what little I was trying to save for a car, so I wouldn't end up homeless. My older child was working, too, but was put on bed rest, so we now face another income drop. I hope someone can help with anything, because I just do not know what to do anymore.

Need work search clothing

Hello, I'm currently trying to save up some cash for clothes to aid in my search for a job. I don't need much... just a couple bucks to go to the thrift store at least. I've been working diligently on my resume and work history etc. so I'll be as ready as I can be to find a job. However, I'm a single father with no money for anything "extra"... I'm in a bind. Please help if you can relate to my situation or feel like God is calling you to do this. Thanks and God bless!

Jobs in the Medical Field my ass!

Posted by missouri on 2011-07-24 19:58:56

Help. I'm not asking for thousands of dollars like so many people on here are asking for. I only need $350 to get started!!
I've just graduated college- my student loans kick in soon and I'll have to obviously start paying them back.

I graduated from Nursing School and as much as they say 'you'll always find a job in the medical field...' they lied. Most hospitals want you to have at least a couple of years of experience. BLAH! :( I've been searching for jobs left and right, day and night and still have not even received a call-back when I call HR to see if they reviewed my resume yet. I didn't just put myself through Nursing School for 40 grand a year to not even receive a call-back.

I'm, not asking for thousands of dollars like some people are asking for, I just need like $350 to start out with to get my first student loan payment covered until somebody returns my call or I receive an interview.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Be well.
Love-
E
