A little over a year ago we left Montana in search of something better. My husband got a job as a safety officer for the BP oil spill we packed up our kids our dogs and all our stuff and headed for Pensacola FL. It was not at all what we expected every two weeks we got a check to "Tie Us Over" is what they would always say your full pay will come soon we are still getting everything sorted out. Like so many other people the rest of the money never came the job just ended. Now we are in a legal battle for around 10,000 in back pay. We left Pensacola with about 300.00 in our pocket and stopped at the first big city we could find Houston TX. Hoping this would all be resolved soon we waited. My husband took side jobs to pay for our hotel and food but a couple weeks ago our truck broke down 1800.00 worth of repairs there was no way we could afford that so we sold it for scrape and paid for our hotel. My husband is now working day labor 55.00 a day when he gets work our hotel is 40.00 a day and after that there is nothing we can't get into a position to save any money for a car or an apartment we just need some help to get out of the rut. We need to be able to pay a months rent somewhere so we are able to take on full time jobs and be able to wait the 2 weeks for a check. We don't drink or do drugs we are just an average family in a really messed up spot. I could not afford to pay the premium price to be able to post pictures. But we have three daughter 17 13 and 6. Whatever you can do to help would be such a blessing thank you for time and your help.

I am a hard working single mother I have fallen behind on my van payments I currently owe $980.00 I will lose it next week if it's not resolved an I have no way of making this payment. This is why I'm posting here:

I am 25 and for my entire life, I have been fat. I don't mean this as in, a little on the chubby side; but obese. I can remember being in 5th grade, when our class had to get weighed and measured at the nurses office. The sinking feeling in my gut that came up when I weighed almost 200 lbs at the age of 10 is something that I don't think I will entirely forget.

Because of my horrible diet as a child (McDonalds, soda, you name it), I have spent my entire young life coping with being overweight and all of the horrible things that go with it: wondering if I'll fit in a seatbelt, wondering if I would break a friends bed or chair if I sat on it, or never being able to find a cute outfit to wear like all the other girls. When I was about 14, I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is cysts on my ovaries (contributing to my obesity, or as a result of, but they worked in tandem to make my life miserable). Without health insurance, I was never able to get this issue resolved, and with my poor diet, my weight increased. PCOS symptoms also include abnormal facial and body hair, which was (and to a degree still is) the bane of mine and any woman's existence. A woman should never have to feel so ashamed of her own body, and yet that is exactly how I've felt for as long as I've realized that I was different, and that looks mattered.

My highest weight as of 4 months ago topped out at 324 (thought I had reached 340 a year earlier but had lost some weight over a long period of time). Recently I began taking HCG (a hormone that helps regulate fertility and also helps with weight loss), and am amazed to report that for the first time in my adult life, I am 270 lbs. While this still is a lot, for me it is an incredible number to be at. Never in my life have I felt the fear of dying at 30 begin to be lifted, though I still have a long way to go.

So the point of my request: there are a lot of dreams I have that I feel like I am within reach of grasping. Some of them have already been fulfilled: I have been able to travel with my family, and this past year my parents helped me to finance a jeep. This is a huge one...I live on the west coast and have always wanted to live a surfer/beach lifestyle.

But how could a fat girl ever be a surfer? It's been my dream for the past 10 summers to learn to surf, with beaches only 15 minutes away. But every year, the fear stopped me, my weight stopped me, my inability stopped me.

I want this year to be the last year fear gets in the way.

With my weight going down, I've been trying to exercise. I've been attempting a modified version of P90X, and have been eating healthy and avoiding all the foods that got me where I am today. The problem is that financially, while I do work full time, I barely make enough to cover my bills (gas, car insurance, car payment, cell phone), and am not even able to help my hard working parents pay rent. So money for extras this summer is not really possible, but I CAN'T let another year go by without accomplishing this task.

I want to attend a surf camp this summer in San Diego, called Surf Divas. The problem? Surf lessons are expensive. I think to get me on the right path, I'd need at least 10 hours of lessons. At $82 an hour, thats $820.

The reason I want to fulfill this dream is to prove to myself and others that no matter where you've been, or how far your body is from being in shape, that the human body is remarkably capable of change. I would want to encourage anyone who doesn't think they are the right "type" to surf or do a sport that they can push their bodies to do things they never thought possible. And I sincerely believe that learning to surf will help me pursue my health and fitness goals long term, as well as truly set free the earth-and-sea-loving hippie that I keep snug and close to my soul. I live for summer and the ocean...and being able to ride a way would be life changing for me.

If anyone is able to donate or help support me in taking charge of my health and fitness...there would be no adequate way to thank you. I will send you a picture of me riding my very first wave as a token of gratitude, with a friendship bracelet made by me with a few shells from the beach strung on it. My way to say thank you for helping me to live a healthy life.

As is typical with PTSD, I did not seek immidiate treatment for the condition, I was going through a divorce, losing everything, and I was unemployed. I started using alot of drugs and alcohol in an attempt to self medicate and I ended up homeless, addicted and in alot of legal trouble. I have since, remarried,my wife and I have 3 children (2 years, 1 year, and new born) and our 1 year old was born 3 months pre mature and has cerebral palsey as well as several other serious medical conditions. I have over 2 years clean and sober now, and I have not had any new criminal charges in 3 years, i recently turned myself in on the last warrant i had and served my jail time and I no longer have any pending legal charges. My problem is this, due to the warrants I had, my drivers license was suspended in 2008 and now that all charges are resolved, I can not afford my re-instatement fee. I am current on the pay plan for all fines and court costs, but with our limited income, our sons medical issues, and my fine payments, on top of regular living expenses (rent, utilities, diapers, food, etc) there is no way I can pay my reinstatement fee's or get a drivers license. I will worry about getting a car later, but I had a CDL before it was suspended and if I can get it back, I know I will be able to increase our income and achieve self sufficiency. I have amounted a rather large credit card debt through stupid choices. I found myself offering help to friends using cash advances from credit cards while still using the cards as I normally would (and could keep up with.) The addition of large cash advances to my current spending as well as some unexpected expenses lead to my debt raising faster than I could handle.
I have cut all unnecessary spending, don't use any credit cards anymore, but with finance charges what they are I am still having trouble making a dent in my debt. I cannot get a loan as the amount of debt ($30,000) makes banks unwilling to help.
I currently rent an apartment and I have wanted to purchase a house so my money isn't just getting thrown away, but I cannot move forward until my debt is resolved.

Hi, I am writing to see if there is anyone out there willing to help me and my family out with a one time loan. We will repay it. Until 5 days ago, we lived in Florida. My husband was hurt on the job back in November of 2010 and has been waiting on a Workman's Comp settlement (scheduled to be resolved on July 18, 2011); as such, he has not been able to work. We lost everything. My aunt helped us with the down payment for a 1998 cargo van so we could load up what little we have left and drive back to Michigan where my husband's family lives. They promised to help us but, now that we're here they refuse to do anything. Hi my name is sham and I work as an average sales person, I don’t know if you can help me, I am married with one child, but I live my parents and my 3 sisters and 1 brother. My parents have been working very hard since coming to this country in 1992 to England. Their were well known people in our community, where everyone trusted them with money and my parents helped 95 % of our community with money and any sort of accommodation.

People would give money to my parents to distribute their money for interest to give people who needed help and my parents would be the guarantor. If the person don’t pay the money, my parents are responsible to pay it back, people borrowed money and paid back normal, suddenly in 2004 everyone we knew like friends and family started to betray our parents by not giving back the money and it was up to my parents to give it back, my parents had to sell the 2 house to me which was brought for the kids to clear the debt what other people borrowed. But I’m a struggle now and I had to re-mortgage and get secure loan under these house to help my parents and I’m in arrears big times.

I really don’t want to lose the house as I want to give it back to my parent as their worked every penny to get these houses for the kids. my parent debt is still not resolved, till now three girls in the family having been working to pay the debts and we all want freedom those these people how are still harassing us. I have a daughter which I want to save money and give her things which I couldn’t afford. I still want to help my parents to clear their debt and see my sisters and brother from free from this and enjoy their life. I couldn’t proceed with my education and get degree and I really want this for my child and for my sisters and brother, we had our father being kidnapped and going through heart attack and I have been through abuse and attack.
