My name is Aristides I am 28 years old from Greece !
My country (as you probably know )is in crisis from 2009 , but this year is the most difficult for Greek people !!!
Government wants from us to pay again and again and every time ask for more with taxes but the same time 20% of Greeks are unemployment and probably this rate will be more than 20% by the end of 2012 !
Even these who have jobs they reserve the minimum from their jobs (about 600 euro and the bill for a small apartment in Greece is about 500 euro per month and most of the jobs are part time so that means about 300 euro per month ...... so imagine a family with 1 or 2 kids ....),
I am within this 20% no job and lot of things to pay for ! The most important is that due to this situation I can not by food any more so I am waiting for my last supplies of food to end and then nothing ...just nothing without job I will be no longer available to go and buy something to eat !
Please help me by giving me any amount of money you want just to buy some food until I can find a job !!! even my internet connection is a wifi from my neighbor...
I really wish to leave this country but even this needs money .... we are like prisoners in Greece with the illusion of freedom ....

I'M 57 years of age a wartime veteran who served the 6 year commitment honorable 1972-1976 plus w/2yrs reserve. Started work on a farm as boy in the late 50's. My parents like most Americans were rural working class poor. At 8 years of age I got a T.V. Guide route, then later a newspaper route. Worked while going through High School and have the Social security report to prove it.

Out of the past over 15 years in Florida more that 10 of those years have been incomeless unemployed! In my working career I have also started two small businesses plus have looked during this long period of no income to take a risk doing something. It has not happened and now I am broke. Also finding out that the number people needing jobs or income verses the opportunities needed have a huge gap of dispairity.

I am a mother of 3 boys. I was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago and am a survivor of it till now. I have been disabled awaiting full recovery so that I can go back to work but until now I am still temporarily disabled. My disability income ran out 4 months ago and I am almost out of reserve money. My youngest child of 9 has outgrown most of his clothes and I cant buy him new ones because I need to save for the rent. Any kind of help would be received appreciatively.

I hate having to do this but i see no other way than having to ask for some help. My sister and I are trying to make it on our own but she is a college student (about to get kicked because we cant pay her tuition) working two jobs that pay very little and I am having a hard time finding a job. What little money we make goes to gas and food and thats not even enough. I finally have a job lined up but i don't start working for a few weeks yet. We just got hit with the news that our parents got kicked out of their home, along with our two younger brothers, because a meter reader came bye and refused to turn on the electricity because the wiring in the house is "unsafe" according to him and they are now living in a hotel on a teachers salary, that was just cut down to part time due to budget cuts, and my dad is unable to work due to the fact that his cancer (leukemia) just came out of remission and progressed to lymphoma. On top of all that, our rent was due today and I have to make a car payment soon or they're gonna put a hook on it and pull it away. I'm a shame of my self that I've let it come to this point when I need to beg for help. I was do pretty good on my own working full-time at a fast food restaurant and then getting deployed to Afghanistan with my reserve unit. After a year long tour, I came back and quite my job to go to school full time, but then my dad started to get sick and when i tried to find a job the recession really took its toll and every one, I mean every one was on a hiring freeze and the only job i could find was delivering newspaper in the early morning for $125.00 a week but that wasn't enough to pay my bills so thats when i started to fall behind. That was 1 year ago and i finally found a better job as an overnight stocker because i moved 1000 miles away to live with my sister in her one bedroom apartment that we cant even afford. I don't know how we are going to keep our bills payed and keep from getting evicted until i get my first check from work in about a month because i don't even start working until three weeks from now. I've never known what it feels like to live without the thoughts of where would my next meal come form at the back of my mind. I am writing this letter to you in the hopes I can appeal to your compassion.I have been working in a job for two years now making minimum wage, where I bring home $1000 or less for a family of four. I am not writing this letter asking for a handout, but a hand up. I know that entrepreneurs sometimes give to charity, again I am not asking for charity but proposing a charitable donation to help me form my own business.

I had worked for a Criminal Defense Investigation firm here in Albany, Or. for four years between 1999 and 2003 and was making $3000 per month plus expenses. I was laid off due to Government cutbacks in indigent defense and was off work for three years taking care of my autistic son while my wife worked. I have since returned to work and she is now the stay at home provider for our son. At the beginning of this year I reacquired my Private Investigators license at the hope that my old boss would consider hiring me back, which he did not because he only hires people in the preferred workers program.

My research shows that there are only three investigators in the area and that two of them are ready for retirement. um, (my old boss) does not perform indigent defense anymore and would pass any work to me. As of now I work partial full time during the day to where I could not perform investigations without losing time off for work, (which I cannot afford) and the time I do get off in the afternoon is too late to start investigations.
I know that with my experience I could make this a growing business and could make enough money to keep it running and take care of my family.
I have already spoken to several of the Attorneys that I had worked for in the past and have been told that they would definitely engage my services if I could provide services at regular hours.

I would like to come up with ideally $50, 000 which would cover the cost of me leaving my job for a year and leave me with $38,000 to purchase most of the basic equipment I would need for start up. If I could come up with $12,000 that would give me the capital to keep my household expenses covered for 6 months to a year, which would give me the time to get established in the business.



I know from experience that I could make this work, and that it would generate revenue of approximately $100,000 to $150,000 per year. Myold boss is making over $450,000 per year now and only performs surveillance.

My Background in this field is roughly 15 years experience, I was a Reserve Police Officer for three years through 1995-98, I resigned when I was ordered to file a report which was false and would have cleared an Officer of a wrongdoing. I refused, so I was harassed and passed over for full time employment for having integrity.
I have four years as a Criminal Defense Investigator and in those four years conducted over 250 cases with a 95% success rate. The people I kept out of jail or prison were innocent and wrongly accused by the Police. My boss stated that I had a natural instinct for investigations and I was given cases ranging from Assault to aggravated murder. I also have two years surveillance working inside a casino, where during my employment I was responsible for over 200 drug related arrests and even received a letter of commendation from the Polk County Sheriffs Office.

I have looked into every option I can think of to try and start this business on my own, Grants, Small Business Loans and Personal Loans (which you need good credit for both) and have come up with nothing.
My last option is to write to entrepreneurs like yourself and try to convince you to help in my plight.
The State of Oregon now pays $35-$45 per hr. for indigent defense, and the Federal Government pays $65 per hr. I know from experience I can work 4 to 5 cases per week as a single investigator, paying my wage of $15 per hour plus expenses. Leaving $20 to $50 going into the business every hour worked. That would give me a $600 per week salary and put $800 to $2000 per week into a business account. Yearly business income could be well over $100, 000 at the higher range of pay.
This business would greatly improve the community in which I live, giving fair and honest investigations to those accused of crimes unjustly and providing jobs for my son and others as the business grows.
