single mother in serious need of help

Posted by mysjess11 on 2012-05-10 05:58:17

I am a single mother, divorced 2 years ago. I am not recievinf child support and his father hasn't seen him, or called in over a year. I lost my job at the end of March. I applied for unemployment and cash assistance. I did all of the requirements for the cash assistance, and they offered a relocation assistance program. I am here in Florida alone with my son. All of my extended family is in Ohio. So i found a job in Ohio, and got the application for relocation approved. The wfb at one stop said it takes 10 days to recieve funds. The funds never came. I called dcf and they said my unemployment was approved so they denied me. I am getting evicted, losing my car, and my first unemployment check came in May and it was only for one week. I don't know what else to do. I just want to take my son home and be with my family and start working again.

Help Me Move To Prague For Work And A Better Life.

Posted by easyd on 2012-02-21 08:58:27

Please Please Please help me to raise the funds to move to Prague. I am from a dead end city that has been cut off and doesn't receive any funding at all to regenerate, this was an issue even before any recession. I have thought about moving to my countries capital London but the costs are just ridiculous and i can not afford to. The cost of rent is really really overpriced, utilities and travel are also sh*t and overpriced. It is at least half the price to up sticks and move abroad to one of my favourite places Prague. The fairytale bohemian city, for all donations visit here http://nsffund.blogspot.com/
Donations will be gratefully received and Im sure you'll get good feeling warm hearted rush for your kindness.
As I have been there a small number of times and I know my way around pretty well already. Navigation around the city will be no problem. Hip hop culture seems to be popular and there is a fashionable urban dress code that I find very amusing, with many people dressed like some Newyork G. I am sure the price to see a footy match will be at least half the price, travel and utility services twenty time better. All I need is living costs, rent for a month and relocation costs (the cost of a one way flight ticket). Then it is all systems go. Thanks for your attention, EasyD

Relocation Funds

Posted by DionaLyne on 2012-02-16 13:58:55

I need 5k to relocate to Arizona. I have a job, but I am living paycheck to paycheck and saving money is not even an option at this point. Every penny goes to bills. I know my financial woes are my own fault, but I need a little help to get on the right track.

I want to relocate as I have a job waiting for me in Arizona that would change my life and my families life. The company will not offer me relocation benefits because of the way the job was posted for recruiting purposes, but will hold the job for me. I just need to get there. I need to fly out, get a hotel and rental car, secure a lease on a home (want to pay 2 months up front), fly home and then move my belongings from IL to AZ.

Seems easy enough. And with assistance it could happen.

Thanks.

Need Money to Move

Posted by JeanDePrato on 2012-01-11 21:58:32

I'm 64, male, disabled, and on a low fixed income. Because of a bad decision to join a friend's business I'm now in Tennessee and stranded. I need to go back to Florida where I had better health care and more help with food and day to day needs. The system here in Tennessee is MUCH tighter as to benefits and with a tiny income it leaves me NO money for emergencies - much less relocation again. My friends here cannot be counted on to help me go back to my life in Florida.

Currently I volunteer my time with hospice and driving seniors to their doctor appts and errands. My car is old but paid for I need auto repairs in the amount of 2,000; dental work 800; Relocation expenses to move to California 6000; and a job masters degree in healthcare in san fernado valley California I have a paypal account or you can send the money directly to the vendors in kind to me. My dad is a retired veteran from Vietnam era, he works for above minimum wage and I live with him currently. He gets his retirement too but he needs a new fence for his house, I helped with all thee renovations but being unemployed I can offer the labor but the materials are about $2500.00 or $4500 installed he would never ask for a handout but he also needs extensive dental work and replace his implants front teeth from 40 years ago from accident his smile means everything to me. With that said once im able to get back on my feet and return to work, I will be able to help others too! Thankyou for any assistance you can provide in these matters .

Relocation

Posted by workinman61 on 2011-11-27 19:58:54

I have been unemployed for three years. A little over a year ago my unemployment was cut and since then we have been barely "existing" my wifes income. I just got word from my brother that he can get me on where he works if I can get there. The thing is I need help with relocation. My brother would help but he is in a financial fix of his own. If anyone can help I would be forever grateful. Even if you could donate $10.00 Or even $5.00 what ever you can spare would be most grately appreciated. Please, please don't think the next guy will help 'cause the next guy hardly ever helps. In my experience it has always been me or you and not the next guy that helps others. But you know what? It is always you or me that feels the reward that comes from helping others. Thank You so very extremely much for your help.

Help to get the job!

Posted by nicholsdesign on 2011-11-10 20:58:06

Desperate for help! I'm just trying to make ends meet...my husband and I both lost our jobs in 2010, causing a tidal wave of destruction financially. To cut cost, we moved back to my home town. I have recently been offered a job in another town, which would be a wonderful step to get up back on the road to recovery, but unfortunately, the company does not pay relocation. We need desperately for me to get this job, but if we are not able to move...we are so close but so far and it is so frustrating because all we want to do is be able to work. We are needing approximately $2500-$3000, to help pay for a self move, and assistance with deposits/rent. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you and Blessings!

Employment Sought: Clerical Support, Or ?

Posted by solo1 on 2011-08-26 22:58:04

Hi- I was laid off at the end of 2009, and I am seeking employment. I am currently living in the Twin Cities area, but am open to relocation.

I key 50 wpm, am familiar with HIPAA, medical terminology, general office equipment, customer care, call center, busy phones, electronic records and using various software to perform job duties, including Word, Excel and Access.

I would consider other types of work, as well. I take the bus, but I am dependable. Perhaps I could work in exchange for a studio? I am open to any and all (legal and appropriate only) ideas.

Please Help Drowning in Debit

Posted by Sam_1231948 on 2011-08-09 16:58:27

I never thought I would be in this position but after two years of things just going wrong to the point when I’ve reached a time in my life when I no longer have any resources to tap so that I can pay my monthly expenses. Two sick brothers and an elderly parent that I had to help support for six months, a car accident, and a relocation to keep my job, it just goes on and on. I have tried to get a second job, sell my personal possessions, tried to get a loan from my bank and finally asked friends and family for a loan. No one has been able to help me.

So this is where you come in, I am writing this message to ask for a gift of anything you can afford. I am hoping that with the kindness of strangers I will be able to pay off enough debits to stay in my home and each month have enough money left over to buy food and gas to make to the next pay day. Please anything you can give, $0.50, $1.00 or more, whatever you can give, will help.

Thank you in advance and May the light of the world shine brightest on you and your family.

Over my Head...

Posted by beattiep on 2011-08-09 00:58:19

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to read my beg request.

I have recently be told that I will soon be redundant. I have only just started my current job so therefore will not be receiving a payout. I was not told that there was a restructure going at the time of interview or acceptance of the job and this has put me at a disadvantage.

As I had no idea that this was going to happen I went put a new lounge suite on higer purchase and also consolidated my partners debt into a personal loan.

On top of this I relocated and had to get myself a credit card to pay my relocation costs.

Now that I have no future in the position that I am currently in and there seems to be no job prospects on the horizon I feel that my bills have skyrocketed over my head.

If there are people out there willing to help me out with small donations then I think that I will be able to get back on my feet and stay an active contributor to my community.

Thank you for your time and consideration

Couple Wants 2 Escape From New York

Posted by mgiorgio on 2010-11-01 11:58:58

I moved to New York from Texas to be with my girlfriend about 2 years ago. Things are working out real well and we would love to move to Providence, RI to start our new life together but we simply can’t afford to move there.

Living in New York City has been a culture shock for me (we live in the Bronx) and the stresses do not out way the positives. I really want to move but, we are just getting by with what little we both make, living in a dangerous area because that’s all we can really afford.

Let's face it, relocation sux. It is the most stressful situation other than dealing with a loss of a loved one. Renting a U-Hul, paying for the gas, finding adequate affordable housing and securing 2 new jobs is going to be tuff, especially in Providence’s market. Providence may have its shortcomings, but it meets our basic needs.

Although this is going to be a task for me to commute back and forth (almost 4 hours each way) to try to obtain some footing; I am willing for the challenge to provide a better quality of life for both of us. Call me a Southern fool, but I want to do the very best for my girl, for our mental health, and our future.

I’m not too proud to say that we need some assistance in getting there.

If you can even contribute a dollar, it would be greatly appreciated. We don’t have any family that can afford to give us a loan, so we are giving this a try.

BTW: we are saving on our own; eating lots of spaghetti, toast, and rice. If we don’t die from carbohydrate poisoning first we should be able to raise a good portion ourselves. We need to raise about $1500 more before our lease is up Feb 28th. All monies raised is going towards moving expenses, trust me….we are not asking for money to buy a new pair of fancy shoes or a new dress.

I know that this is a lot to ask from strangers especially, since there are other people with posts with more dire emergencies. Be that as it may, we still have our hope and faith that with your generosity, we can make this happen.

Thanks Yall

MONEY NEEDED TO RELOCATE FOR WORK

Posted by tightropeman on 2010-08-12 03:58:58

I have been seeking work, but I have been unemployed for a year. I anticipate that I will have to relocate from my small town in order to find work. I have started applying out of state and believe that I will get a job offer out of state in the near future , but I am broke and needs money to relocate. Relocation would include, moving my belongings by U-haul or pod, transportation, and rent down payment. I am estimating $2000-3000. I am asking that you please help and send whatever you can so I can meet my goal.

*Groceries* Please!

I have two daughters I have not seen in nearly two months because of a sudden relocation. My husband and I have been living with friends and can finally afford our own place. All of our money has gone into renting an apartment so that we can have a place for our kids to come to. Now we have no money for food. We are hardworking and are in a temporary bind. I fully intend to go to the food banks but I fear that it may not be enough. Help of any kind is appreciated. Thank you.

Donating $1 can actually change someone's life for...

Donating $1 can actually change someone's life for the better. Many postings on this site may sound false or unbelievable from people just looking for an easy way out, but if you continue reading, you will understand that this posting is actually sincere and worth the time spent reading.

About two years ago, I began a new profession of teaching English to those of other languages. It has been a rewarding and fruitful experience, but as you may know, teachers do not get paid a high salary especially those teaching abroad to foreign students.

For those unfamiliar with ESL/TEFL (English as a Second Language/Teaching English as a Foreign Language) it allows Native speakers like myself to spread the knowledge of English for those who wish to learn it in their home countries. I have been a Certified ESL/TEFL/TESOL Instructor since 2007 and it has been an enjoyable experience. As you may know, teachers in general do not get paid a high salary and ESL Teachers are paid even less. Being an ESL Teacher often means long hours of work for little pay and travelling to multiple destinations in one day to teach a variety of students. ESL Teachers do not expect to become rich teaching English, they do it for other reasons. I do it for C.A.R.E., four major reasons:

C-Cultures, infusing cultures and learning of yourself with others.

A-Achievement,knowing you have taught someone something in which they can use.

R-Results, the English they learn can be used to advance them in today's global economy.

E-Enrichment, providing a service in which communication can bring people together for years to come.

I am currently teaching in Ukraine, but I have a new teaching job opportunity in a new country that I would like to get to. Not only for the chance of teaching new students in a new culture, but a tremendous demand for language schools which in could turn into a what I have been hoping to do, opening my own language center. I have been planning this for months as the academic year was coming to a close at my current school, what I didn't plan for was my school not fulfilling their obligations in the contract for a year end completion bonus. This completion bonus was a major part of my relocation funds. Even though the summer has past and I continue to work towards my goal, it seems the end is moving farther away at a greater rate of speed than which I am going.

I am not asking for one individual to give the entire amount or pay the relocation expense, but only a small donation. Even if it is the cost of the average fast food meal, it will be greatly appreciated. If everyone just tells one friend and they donate, small donations can be very powerful.

Please visit my website at www.worldestiny.com (currently disabled, please feel free to visit the free web hosting site at http://worldestiny.freetzi.com) and see for yourself. Before my website was disabled it was ranked in the TOP 30 in Google search results for learning English online. I would like to keep it running and eventually open my own learning center. I offer educational games and learning activities among other things for students and teachers. I am just an honest person trying to create a better world through education, one student at a time.

As you can see, I am not simply begging for money or making a story for you to read. But, in reality, a way to help more people other than just myself.

I appreciate your time in reading my request. Thank you.
