Single Mother of 14 month old, NEED HELP PAYING BILLS
Posted by kkbanfield on 2011-08-05 12:58:16
First I want to thank anyone who is considering donating money to raise myself and my child out of debt. I have never begged for anything, but I have no other choice but to ask for help at this time in my life. I am a 41 year old single mother of a 14 month old child. My son's father left me at 4 months pregnant for a 19 year old girl who knew me and knew I was pregnant. They had no remorse for what they did either. My son's father has had practically no involvement in my sons life other than paying child support. The child support that I receive is very minimal because his father is on commission where he works and I never know what I'm going to receive. I lost my job in 2007 where I was making over $50,000 a year and now I'm making about half that with an additional mouth to feed. I never thought I would get to this place in my life. I've tried looking for a higher paying job, but with no completed college education no one will hire me for the amount of money I was making before. I have sought out help with Medicaid, food stamps, WIC, etc. but I make just a "little" too much money for what they allow. I have a house and have tried to remodify my loan and refinance it but I have been rejected left and right. I have considered selling my house, but I do not want my son raised in an apartment with all the pedophiles and criminals that are out there.(I am barely able to make my house payments and may lose my home anyway) I think my home and my neighborhood are much safer. I have exhausted all the resources I can. I am currently doing online surveys just to get a few dollars here and there to just pay for gas to and from work. I'm praying this will be a temporary situation as I continue to look for a higher paying position and hope to one day to get a degree. I don't believe in just living off the system and not doing something in return to better oneself. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and when my son grows up I will let him know how generous people can be in a time of need. Please find it in your heart to help someone in need who isn't trying to just scam someone to make themselves rich. I just want to get by and make my son happy. I don't need any luxuries, but he does. Praying for help!

A year ago I went through a divorce. My ex-wife pretty much walked away. I have full custody of my two small children. I kept the house and all the bills. She racked up tons of bills before the divorce was final along with lawyer cost. She has killed my credit. I am unable to refinance my home or truck. She stopped paying on her car which then got repossessed and went onto my credit. I am always behind on all of my bills. I have half the income now and more bills. I have to pay child care now which is super expensive. I work two jobs just to barely skim by from week to week. I just can't seem to make any headway in getting these bills paid off. I am currently going through counseling also for PTSD from my two tours in Iraq. This doesn't help because the amount of stress I deal with from bills, being a single father and Iraq issues is a lot. I am trying so hard to eliminate these stresses and just provide a good life for my kids. If any one could help financially so I can get these extra bills paid off I would greatly appreciate it.

HARD WORKING FAMILY NEEDS A NEW HOME LOAN
Posted by melanied on 2011-05-16 09:58:43
OUR CURRENT FIRST MORTGAGE IS $45k WITH PAYMENTS OF $1699/MO. OUR SECOND MORTGAGE IS $112k WITH PAYMENTS OF $879. RECENTLY WE WERE PREQUALIFIED FOR LOAN MODIFICATIONS AND THEN WERE LATER DENIED. NOW WE ARE $12k BEHIND ON OUR FIRST MORTGAGE. WE WANT TO BORROW 45k ON OUR MOM'S HOME WHICH SHE RETAINS A LIFE ESTATE (76 YEARS OLD). DOES ANYONE HAVE $45k TO LEND US ON A SECURE REAL ESTATE LOAN SO THAT WE CAN SAVE OUR HOME? WE HAVE HAD LOSS OF INCOME DUE TO THE MARKET AND CASHED IN ALL OF OUR SAVINGS...WE JUST NEED TO REFINANCE OUR FIRST MORTGAGE THAT IS SCHEDULED TO PAY OFF IN 3 YEARS. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN OUR PROBLEM. MELD
Mortgage payment goes up..salary goes down, short term help needed while applying for programs

Watch the news..see mine and many others' story. Paycut last year. Found the programs to enroll in to get mortgage readjusted and we're in the works but have to wait 60-75 days for anything to happen, if it does. Crushing interest rate.
"Please try to make your mortgage payments during this time..."
Problem is, even as we got current once, to apply for a "normal" refinance, the monthly payment went up $150 a month to adjust for escrow deficiencies!
My wife's a substitute teacher, so no guaranteed income there. I'm working 45 hours a week and getting crushed by paying for 3 surgeries in the last 12 months...one we planned and 2 emergency appendectomies. Needless to say, since my pay's so low, the insurance isn't exactly stellar either.
Even so, I drop my change in the jar's at the gas station...for the Shriners with the peppermints...just asking folks to maybe drop some in my bucket.

NEED CASH - Will take a loan

Have run out of options trying to make ends meet. Husband lost a good job in October of 2008. He did get another job in February of 2009, but it was a loss of $1,000.00 in income per month compared to his last job. We figured a steady check was better than no check and that he could keep looking. I do have a full time job and have worked for the same company for 14+ years. He did find a better paying job that would bring us back up, but it took a year to find it. So we had a loss of $12,000.00 in income for the year of 2009, but we gained a grandchild into our household. That did not work well financially, but with corner cutting and my husband going back over the road for his job we were getting to a light at the end of the tunnel. Then the truck my husband drives went down and the company gave him a rental truck to use - but only for one week. So he lost a weeks work - then he worked a week for someone else, three weeks later and he still has not gotten paid for that job. So we are behind 2-3 weeks worth of pay and falling deeper. I need the money 1) to pay back $5,000.00 to my sister that she lent us to help with the mortgage when we fell behind. 2) to pay off $600.00 sears credit card and close the account. 3) to buy tires for our car as the current ones are bald. 4) To make some minor home repairs before they are not minor anymore - (There's a leak somewhere in the kitchen ceiling) 4) to get a savings account going again so that we can move forward from the last couple of rough years. We are in the process of working with a law firm and the mortgage company to get a modification on our loan as we were dumb enough to trust our lender and refinanced a couple years ago - Now our interest rate is at 8.6% and we feel behind when our income went down. It just seems like every time we let a sigh of relief out another shoe drops.
My husband and I have been married for 17+ years we have a 16 year old son and a twenty year old daughter. Our Daughter has a 1 year old baby and they live with us at this time. Our Daughter is in college and we encouraged her to stay in and finish. The Baby's Father is in the picture just not a part of this family anymore. He wasn't ready to be a dad. Nice time to figure it out!
With being behind on our mortgage - and the sears credit card our credit is poor and we can not obtain a loan through a bank and a refinance or mortgage work out is taking too long. I can totally understand people who just want to walk away from it all sometimes.
I would love to be able to relieve some stress for my poor husband. Having to go back over the road (Truck Driver) after being home most nights and all weekends was a huge impact on our household. Never mind he constantly checks up on me as I have fibromyalgia and type 2 Diabetes. So he worry's about money, my health and everything else a Dad and Husband worry about on top of it. We also lost our health insurance in April - the week after I found out about the Diabetes. I have not been able to go back for a check up or to have my blood and urine checked as I cannot afford to pay for the visit and tests out of pocket so I monitor myself the best I can.
Like I said - Would do a Loan. I am not looking for a free handout, just a loan. Small interest mind you, but a loan.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
