I am in much financial bondage right now as my rent is very late, and ALL of my bills are late. My utilities are going to be shut off shortly, etc. I was just hired by 3 different agencies but I don't begin working until Mid-June. I only have a couple dollars to my name, which i'm trying to stretch for gas to get to interviews.

My bank account is in the red, so I have a large hole to climb out of before I can even pay my bills. I desperately need assistance to survive until I receive my first paychecks. Thank you so much!

Good morning, my name is Missy Jensen. I have 3 little girls in elementary school and a gorgeous husband and I thought my life, though simple, was perfect. We've never lived beyond our means and have tried to do the best by our family. We've given to lots of charities (mainly World Vision and Red Cross) and never thought we'd have to ask ANYONE for even a penny.
I don't know if "Medical Bills" is the right category but medical is why we can't pay our other bills and are in trouble with the bank over our home payments.
Since #3 was born I have had a bowel resection following them finding colo-rectal cancer - and I thought that was the end of it. I now have a prolapsed uterus (sorry.. this area of my body is a disaster) which I need to have operated on. I have to pay for that operation but also I'm scheduled for a routine staging colonoscopy at the same time. This is TOO MANY BILLS! I am praying that this will be the end of it and I can return to full-time work in the next 3 or 4 months but I'm scared since my whole body feels quite battered.

I have health insurance but due to recent precondition problems I am risking losing my insurance getting a necessary though seemingly optional cosmetic tail implant. I was born with a partially emerging tail about 3 three inches long that I can vigorously wag and I have a condition where when ever I am nervous , anxious or anticipating something happening my tail starts to wag fast and hard with a sort of red light going on in my head because my imagination pictures my tiny three inch stub of a tail being a long elegant leopard size implement with a graceful swagger. The doctor estimates that the operations will cost between $478,000 and Three million dollars. Yes I know what you are thinking is this tail worth that much money? Of course. I will be able to swing from trees by my tail with the new power muscle tell that can be built for me. I will have three limbs above my waist. I will feel whole for the first time in my life and I will make medical history as the first human in some 200,000 years to have a tail that can express itself with grace and elegance. If I can't raise the money I swear I am going to join the ranks of the circus freaks and get the money wagging my disgustingly ugly existing tail in public. I know that sounds demeaning but I am still proud of my tail and blessed to have it. I am thinking of getting a couple of monkeys to develop an act to get top billing on the freak show circuit. Planet of the Apes Man and Monkeys would be a good name for the act? You just don't know what it is like having just a stub of a tail when you are so close to having the real thing and swinging it in the trees. Hurry and donate before Obama care has to pay for this.

Recently, I quit my job and started up my own eBay business. It had been a dream all my life, to own my own business. I started just a few months ago, and everything was going flawless. I have a great supplier, great products, and great customer service, etc. While we were new on eBay, they had set limits on how much we could sell and Paypal put 21-day holds on all our funds, till the customers received their items. It was just recently, that we turned into eBay Powersellers and received the status of "Top Rated Sellers".

Everything was going just perfect, up until recently. My mother-in-law needs a LOT of teeth work done. So, I decided I would list my cherished Jimi Hendrix poster online, to raise funds for her teeth work, because my business was new and not to the point of affording $5000 teeth work. I put it up for a 10-day auction and everything was going just fine. About halfway thru my auction, it was generating bids and lots of interest!

Then, the bottom fell out..... A gentleman from California was interested in our poster, and stated that he would like to purchase it. He said if we took the listing down, he would send us $3500. We agreed and took it down. He paid us within 10 minutes! We thought we had hit the jackpot. Not only was my business taking off, now I could afford my mother-in-laws teeth work! The very next day, I put his poster in the mail and we went to pay the down payment at the dentist and a few other bills off. Everything was looking good. Later that night, I received an email from Paypal, that the buyer had put a claim in! He stated that it was not as described, even though he had not even received it yet! It was still in route, thru the postal service. He had buyers remorse and Paypal froze my funds up.

No big deal, I am an eBay Powerseller, I should be able to make the funds really fast, right? No. When a customer buys something from us, we use their money they just paid us, to purchase their part and have it shipped to them. If my Paypal account is frozen and in the red for $3000, I am not able to sell anything or ship anything off!

Now, Paypal has paid the customer back and I am just sitting here trying to figure out what to do next. My dream I had started and finally got off the ground, is now ruined. I worked 20 hour days to get this off the ground, and now feel like a failure. I cannot do anything until the money is paid back. I have no way of doing anything.

I quit my job to do this and we are now struggling. It actually makes me sick, knowing I tried so hard to get to the Powerseller level, to have it all ruined because a customer wanted his money back on an item I had a "No Refund Policy" on. Paypal ruled in his favor without even talking to me.

My Paypal balance is a -$2741.79. I really need help getting it back to ZERO. Please consider a donation for a guy that is really trying to do something with his life. I am a 40 year old male and have been a failure all my life and now I have something that is working, and just when my family started noticing, my hopes were all dashed again. Failure surrounds me.

As you well know, there is great need and the devastation is overwhelming. There are towns that have literally been wiped off the map and others that have remained closed because they can not get the help they need due to roads that are impassable. By the grace of God my family and I are survivors. My family and I are writing to ask for your generous assistance with getting my family and I life back on track, our life has been turned upside down because of the Tornado that hit the Midwest on Friday.

We've lost everything, the only things we have is the clothes on our backs. I've contacted the United Way, but no help. I called the Red Cross they could only offer food/shelter for the time being. Everywhere I've gone, everybody is telling me there're insufficient funds. They don't have funds. There is nothing they can do.

The whole idea of asking for money makes me sick to my stomach. I have never been a beggar or a person who wanted charity. But I honestly have no other choice anymore.
My story starts in 2009 with my ex girlfriend, whom would turn out to be the worst thing that ever happened to me. I'm not going to play the blame game, because I have forgiven her since. However I am left with the lasting damage of that relationship.
We had dated when we were young, she had cheated with a friend and I had left her, but i always loved her most of all and was eventually able to forgive her later. I was a fool for love. This is where the trouble starts, we had begun to talk again in early 2009, and soon a relationship developed between us once again. By this time she had a daughter who was 7 years old. I moved to another state to be with her and her daughter, after awhile I loved her daughter as my own child. I took her fishing with me every chance I had. I did not realize it before I had went down there, but her family was a real problem. They took to controlling every aspect of her life, even going as far as taking her mail out of her mail box and reading it. From the very start I has hated, I could not be controlled or told what to do, though they tried. Later in the year I was working and I thought things had improved, they grudgingly accepted me.

I am not a cruel or an evil person, I am always firm but loving when it comes to discipline. There had started to be problems at school and home, with tantrums, and destructive behavior. My ex and I talked about it and we tried everything, nothing seemed to work save simple old fashioned spanking. When she threw a tantrum one day and wrote that she hated us and left it on a note where we would surely find it, and broke her own window in her room. I knew something had to be done, this was totally unacceptable. So I spanked her, not hard or vicious like i got when i was a boy. But just my hand. I left a red mark, not welts or bruises a red mark. Of course being a little girl, she tended to talk and tell everyone EVERYTHING. She told her grandmother about it, and that was it for me, suddenly i was this horrible terrible person. My ex and I quarreled about it a great deal and I left for awhile just to get my head around things and see if it was worth saving.

I decided to leave, and I went home back to indiana where i was from, I left with a broken heart, but i knew the situation couldn't be fixed.
There were other things going on at the time I did not become aware of until later, one was that my ex was pregnant. She later admitted to me that she had been smoking while pregnant, drinking, taking more and more prescriptions, and when she finally told me about it she told me she was glad she had miscarried.
I have never forgotten that statment.
Now here is where the real trouble begins and why I am in such desperate need.
The child told her teacher, and child services became involved, as they always do and will for any reason.
Eventually it got turned over to the sheriff's office to see what they wanted to do with it. Now enters the grandparents into the equation.
The pushed it hard even against my ex's wishes, and managed to get them to file charges for child abuse and issue a warrant. A warrant I didnt even know i had until christmas time 2010. I was picked up and detained for extradition over it. The following monday I was released, I was informed that they didnt want to come get me. I called my ex, and she told me that she had told them to drop it, we talked and talked, she begged me to forgive her for all that happened, and eventually i did, for some reason I still felt like i couldnt live without her. So we continued to talk up until july of 2010. When something happened, grandmother got curious wondering what these numbers were on the cell phone bill. She confronted my ex and she told her that she had talked to me. Ever since that point I have this "open case" listed publically on my record. After about 10 interviews I discovered that was the reason I couldn't have a job. Who would want to hire a "child abuser" anyway? Here it is febuary its been about 8 months without work. I lost my place, and nearly everything i own, I even lost the will to live. I live with my parents now, and I know im a burden to them. I'm thinking about it everyday. It is tax refund time now, and I have half of what I need for my lawyer to try and fix this horrible mess. He is of the almost certain opinion this will be completely dropped, and I can have a job again, and recover somewhat of a life. If you can help please help, I am a desperate man, and I want my life back, I need it back, I cant take not being able to work, and being a burden to my parents who are dirt poor!

I am a single mom trying to take care of a son who has a mental disability, and trying to keep another son in college..thier father refuses to be a part of thier lives..In June of 2010, the man I loved and planned on spending the rest of my life with passed away with bone cancer. I was his primary care giver. We thought we had more time to put things in order, but time ran out quicker than we thought.He was my support, mentally and financially. When he was in the hospital, dying, his family made me leave his house, which he had told me I could stay in,,but since the wedding had not taken place yet(wedding date was in July and he passed in June) I had no say so..ever since I have been struggling to keep afloat, taking care of endless hospital stays with my oldest son,and trying to pay for his medicine and trying to keep my youngest in school so he can have
a future.I've barley made the bills,but am finally to the point of my utilities being cut off, and haven't been to the grocery store in over a month. Please someone find it in thier heart to help me get on level ground..I work for the American Red Cross, 60 hrs a week, but just isn't enough lately.I found an in home business that could bring me more income,doing marketing, but to make it work, I need about 2000 to gain traffic..All I want to do is keep us going, my boys depend on me, I'm all they have..

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I am ashamed to be on here asking for help, but I don't know what else to do. I am in the position of having my gas and electric disconnected due to being in the hospital inpatient 2 times in the last 2 months for a massive kidney infection. I spent Christmas in the hospital, and almost spent Thanksgiving as well. I tried to set up payment arrangements with my utility companies, but they're not very lenient, or caring for that matter. I have tried to get help from any community action agencies or the Red cross, but they are out of funds due to the amount of unemployed in Indiana. I just don't want to loose my gas and electric in the winter with 3 boys. I don't know how to explain to them that we wouldn't have any gas to keep warm, and electric for the lights and to cook. I would not ask that the money come to me. I would provide the companies that I have my utilities thru, and any information that would be needed to help. Any help would be appreciated more than you know. And, if the person who helps happens to live in Indiana, I would be more than willing to do whatever work my body would allow, like cleaning house, helping with church events, anything. I am just unable to work right now due to the chronic issues with my kidney. But, the bills don't stop, and the companies want and deserve the money for the electric/gas that I have used. I normally am able to keep up with my bills, I just didn't expect to get sick, and for so long. November I was inpatient for 4 days, and never fully recovered. So, on the 22nd, I was put inpatient and didn't get released until the 26th, so my kids opened their gifts in my hospital room. It was still an amazing Christmas, family is what makes a holiday, it doesn't matter where you are as long as you're together. Hello, my name is Kenneth and I am hear because I have no where alse to go or anyone to turn to. I was once a proud man who had it all. I had a loving wife and 4 wonderful children, I had my dream home and owned 2 cars, I even had a nest egg for my wife and I to retire on.
Then on January 12, 2011 a drunk driver took that all away from me in a matter of seconds. See my wife was on her way home after shopping in town with the 4 kids, while driving through an intersection a drunk driver ran the red light hitting the van dead center on the driver side witch sent her into the oppeset lane and then she was hit yet again head on by another truck. My wife and 13 year old son where killed apon impact and the three girls in the back where in bad shape according to police reports all 3 girls had to be air lifted to the trama center. It has been close to a year now and everything that i had is now gone, I sold my house to pay off the medical bills that the insurance company did not cover (total coast $ 586,423.71) Then I sold the second car to pay for the funeral coast and to get head stones for my wife and son (total coast $ 12,000.00) for that. My nest egg was all I had left but I could see that it was not going to last long with all the special needs that my 3 girls now needed since the accident. I have tryed to strech it as far as I can but their is nothing left, and now my worst fears are about to come true and that my girls who have suffered so much this past year and who has lost so much where about to suffer once again.

So they are the reason I am hear asking everyone, or anyone PLEASE help so they don't have to suffer PLEASE I don't know what alse to do except pray and hope that their are kind souls who are will to help with what ever you can.

Help! We got hit by a drunk driver on dec. 02. The guy that hit us had a BAC of .246, and ran a red light. We got 2700 for our car from insurance. WE are trying to repair and rebuild our credit ruined because of student loans so we had no wish or extra income to finance. We wound up getting a 1994 Ford Taurus wagon. They put a new engine in it that's going to be done friday, but it's still a 17 year old car that will probably need repairs. WE are on a tight budget, and we would appreciate being able to build a rainy day fund for the car so that we don't have to worry when something will go wrong. We're fairly good at fixing most things. Our last car was a 1996 Taurus and we fixed the brakes, rotors and calipers, replaced the battery and terminal wires, spark plugs and wires, changed all fluids, repaired hoses, and we were about to replace the catalytic converter on our own when we got hit. Previous cars we've worked with have taught us how to replace tires, radiators, water pumps and fuel pumps. We plan to maintain our new car in a similar way so that we can keep it for a couple hundred thousand miles. It's not just about keeping costs down, it's about keeping a serviceable car on the road and out of crowded landfills. It's about a car that you love through a long relationship, a vehicle that you understand every quirk. It was that way with my '96, and I just know it will be that way with my '94 With a rainy day fund I would feel much more secure when it comes to fixing the inevitable problems that come with a comfortable old lady like a 1994 taurus LX wagon. She is getting a new engine so the head gasket issues of the second generation Taurus's 3.8L essex are going to be mitigated if not eliminated for at least the next 100,000 miles, but the tranny and AC especially, followed by suspension, electrics, brakes, steering, pumps (fuel and water), and of course the routine tires, oil, wipers, brake pads, etc. are all possible future repairs. All the fun of having a car that you can't lightly trade in. Parts usually run $80 average if it's anything like the '96 in terms of maintenence, ommiting outliers like tranny and AC. Any help you can give would be appreciated. I know I'm starting to sound like Ray Stantz talking about the pile of 1959 caddy that became the ghostmobile.

Oh and also, I'm up to suggestions as to what I am going to name this car. So far we've had a 97 dodge stratus named Pearl, a 1994 Buick LeSabre named Einhander, and our last car was a 96 Taurus named Wyrd (after the goddess of Fate). Yeah I picked the name after the first 2 listed died in the same month and we scrapped both for this one. Ultimately totalled in a wreck with a drunk driver was a fitting end for such a car with such a name, but it still makes me sad, that much AMERICAN BUILT and ENGINEERED chicago assembled car with the 3.0 L vulcan engine, cast of iron in the forges of Ohio and not a single leak despite topping 153k. Only 145 HP but it got the job done beautifully and dependably. You just don't get cars like that in the new millenium. *sigh* i will miss my 3rd gen taurus. Every day i see a dozen of them being driven bearing the characteristic curves and oval rear window. Anyway. . .a rainy day fund would go a long way towards helping me to learn to love her older sister. Right now I'm thinking of calling her Providence.

I am trying to get my leaky roof fixed. I work part time for minimum wage. I have been trying to get my employer to put me on full time but they will not. I have looked for a full time job or at least another part time with no luck. The amount of money I make barely pays the bills, after food, mortgage, car loan payments, and utilities; I am usually in the red. My roof leaks to the point that some of my ceiling has rotted and fallen (I have multiple buckets to try and keep the water off the floor). There is extensive water damage and mold (I actually found mushrooms growing out of the floor at the corner of a wall inside my bedroom!). There is a spot in the floor outside the bathroom that is sunken and rotted almost through from water damage from the ceiling. My utility bills are increasing because it is getting colder. I need $6,000 to fix my roof, but any donation would be greatly appreciated. If I can get 1,000 people to donate between $1 and $10 I will be able to get my roof fixed and not have to breath mold anymore (I have asthma also). last night while he was in town, he was told his house was on fire, he rushed home hurried to grab the
garden hose to save what he could, only he fell and had to go to the hospital where he fractured
several ribs and tore something in his for arm,which is wrapped and in a sling.
today he can hardly move for the pain.
he lost 4 kittens and the mama cat, every photo he had of his kids and so much more.
unfortunatley he didnt have insurance on the house.

he has a 19 yr old son living with him.

the fire dept probably did as much damage as the fire. they didnt try to seal the section off and work
on it, they soaked everything , every room.. so much that the ceiling fell in.
no one has contacted him most of the day, no one offered to really help these people..

i came home, got on the phone and called the red cross in albemarle nc, the lady said we cant do anything
till we hear from the fire marshall,
so we tried to call the fire marshal.. this was like 2 pm today..(friday) no answer left a message, it is now 11:30 at night.
.still no reply back.
someone did tell us he wouldn't contact them till he finished his investigation, that could be days,
called a church here, they said yes we help but we go through stanly county christian ministries call them.. so i called them
they said well, he needs to bring something showing his house burnt..i said lady its not as if they give to a certificate to hand out
when your house catches on fire.. i can give you the norwood police number, or the fire marshal to verify it..
around 5-6 red cross call's my friend.. tells him they are going to put he and his son up in a hotel in albemarle for the weekend.
. and he never heard back from them.. its now 11: 30 at night. i called the hotel they said red cross did call, but they didn't
send the paper work or call back.
thank god for the one friend he does have who is letting them stay at his house tonight, and giving them a hot shower,
and a place to rest. if left to the red cross i guess they would be sleeping in the yard.

this is crazy.. his house is totaled from one end to the other, nothing is untouched by smut and water,
no power, no clothes..not even a pair of socks.
charities are so eager to take your money, .but it seems to take an act of congress to get help if your the victim,
this is a good guy, he has volunteered his time endless times, days on end at the community table to feed people just
down the road. he'd help anybody he could,and has a wonderful son.

things they could really use,
clothes,
if there is anyone who might work in construction that has left over wood 2x4's, 2x6's
plywood, sheet rock, flooring,
anything it doesn't even matter if its scrap.
if anyone has some gently used furniture, beds, blankets.

still believe in helping, you just have to find a way to let them know you need it.
