Hi. I live on a small pension and make extra money by recycling. Recently my bike and trailer i use to collect items with were stolen. this has almost cut my income in half not being able to collect like i was. I have been trying to save up for a new bike and trailer. but with my income now half what it was this is just not possible. Please if you can i would very much appreciate the help. Just imagine if as little as 300 dollars could give you the means to earn a decent living. A hand up is all i ask. to once again have the means to support myself.

Recycling & Waste management

Hi, I am Clement from South Africa. In South Africa we have to problems.
1. Unemployment and
2. Waste.
My business is too create work for the unemployed by doing recycling. The money you get for selling your recyclable material are so little it tough to pay a good wage for people. Currently they are getting less then $10 per day.
If all those who donate on this site gave me $2 it would be possible to illimunate poverty and makes Africa less dependant on the USA.

Donations for Pets

I am a volunteer with East TN Spay & Neuter.
East TN Spay & neuter (ETSN) is a non profit organization that helps people get their pets spayed or neutered at a low cost. They also help low income families with pet food.
ETSN is trying to do so much for our community, but donations have been low lately. We are trying to get people to donate food or cash. I DO NOT WANT IT DONATED TO ME!! I am not asking for donations for myself. You can go to this website and it will give you all the information you need. It will tell you about all of their projects and fundraisers.

You can also donate by recycling your old phones and inkjet cartridges to ....

Single mom and in dire need of help
Posted by babybump81 on 2011-08-19 22:58:32
I am a single mom of a 13 year old son and I have a baby on the way in November. My unborn baby's father is an alcoholic and is not interested in being there for me or the baby. My son's father tries to get out of paying child support as much as possible and is currently paying the bare minimum once a month. I had been laid off for over a year and had went back to school when I got pregnant and the father moved out I was desperate to get a job despite the fact that my pregnancy is high risk. I have been able to find a employment through a staffing agency a week ago it is minimum wage job but I am thankful for it. It is nearly impossible to take care of my son, get ready for a new baby, and pay bills and on minimum wage. I just started looking for a second job to help get by, It is a struggle to keep gas in my car to get to work and my son starts school next week. If anyone out there has anything to spare for school fees $45 and money for basic living expenses (gas, household items, bills)
I hate having to beg but everything I do to try to bring in a little extra has not worked(yard sales, selling items on Craigslist, recycling cans). I work to take care of my family and am trying to get on back on my feet and a little help right now.

MicroFix Goodwill Project aims to conserves natural resources and supports the community.Valuable material can be recovered from old electronics, and these materials can be used to make new products. For example, precious metals are used in computer circuit boards and other electronic components, and of course glass and plastics are used for TV and computer monitors. Recycling these products reduces the need to mine the earth for new raw materials. also, donating your old electronics supports schools, low-income families, and non-profit agencies by providing them with refurbished computers, cell phones, and other electronics. Individuals are helped by being able to access technology that they could not otherwise afford.
Volunteers can contribute by recycling unwanted electronics or by giving a contribution of any amount to drive MicroFix Goodwill Project on to success. Contributions will be used to expand our location to accept and store more recycled electronics, shipping materials to make it easier on everyone to mail their electronics at no charge to them, and any help us advertise our project around the web and communities.
For more information please visit www.microfixusa.com .

we have 2 kids, we are disabled, and have my dying mom living with us, and no money
Posted by violetwolf on 2011-05-27 18:58:24
I am hoping to find someone with a big enough heart to help us out here. We have two children, 9 and 6, myself and my husband, and my step-mother. My husband hurt his arm in 2007 at work, and we are still in court with his former employer, because he lost use of his right arm. So he is unable to work, and we receive welfare money. I am a really bad type 1 diabetic and have been since I was 5, and am unable to maintain proper employment, so I am on on SSD. We also have my father's (he passed away at Christmas in 2010) fiance, who is may as well be a step-mother to me who lives with us, who has 3 types of cancer, all stage 4, and she is bedridden, and very very sick. (and she is only 57) We lost our baby son to SIDS in 2009, and things have just kept up being really difficult for us, everytime we almost catch up on bills, somebody dies or gets sick, or the car breaks, and then we end up borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. We have a really old house (pre-civil war) which is hard to keep heated in the winter, and hard to keep cool in the summer, and cant afford to fix the furnace, the water tanks, or the windows. Our car is a '99 van thats falling apart worse every day, and alls we do is drive to doctors and the grocery store. I am at the end of the rope here with being able to sell off any collectibles or music, or electronics that we have, I've been recycling bottles from family members, and saving up all the change we find, but it just isn't enough. My kids, I can't even afford them new summer clothes, and they're both growing like weeds. I have been lucky that I always prepare for the worst, and so I have a bunch of canned food, and we have a few chickens that give us eggs, but we are on our way to sinking beyond the point of saving. Please, we are good God-fearing people, we aren't out to buy ourselves some tv or motorcycle, we have no credit card debt, cuz we think its bad to do that, we just have nothing left to give. I would like to be able to fix our furnace, and insulate our hotwater tank, and maybe be able to fix our car better than we've been doing with metal tape and putty. I would like to be able to get a bag of fresh vegetables and fruit for the kids to stay healthy, and I would like to be able to pay our bills this month.

Hello; I am 58 years old. I have worked as a laborer throughout my life. However, my body isn't as able as it once was.
I can't find work anywhere. I live in a small farm town where there is little work and a lot of out of work people.
I earned $348. in December and haven't had any work since then.
I don't anticipate any work to turn up before spring but I have bills now.
If I had money to buy some equipment there is a niche that could be filled in recycling in this area from which I believe I could earn a living.
Would you help me please?
Thank you for taking time to view my plea.

We have met with extreme elderly abuse by our present manager. We were recycling cans and having fundraiser dinners etc in order to cover printing of fliers. However, the manager has interfered by doing the same thing --by announcing a dinner the day before ours. Went door to door telling residents that they must turn their cans into the office.
The manager has threatened eviction to anyone who attends our meetings. In fact did so to the past President. We are in need of any guidance and funds that will assist. We are talking about big structure problems --wiring, heavy doors for the handicaped, toxic fumes and many more-- we need to continue this struggle. Thank you.

We are homeless and living in a car.
We recycle anything with the CA CRV on the container.
(Aluminum cans, plastic bottles, ALL glass bottles, etc.)
We also recycle wine and hard liquor bottles.
We can come pick up whatever recycling you want out of your way.
We wouldn't be posting this if there were enough recycling in our area to go around. There are so many homeless collecting the recycling from the trash cans in the park we frequent during the day that there isn't much of anything in any of the trash cans we check every few hours. When we first ended up in this situation we collected plenty of recycling. Not too many people were in the park. Now there's about five times the amount of homeless people collecting from the trash cans. Not to mention all the people that are not even homeless who come and collect recycling.
If you'd like to help us out please send an email to EmmaL27@aim.com
I'd give out a phone number but we get spam calls and texts when I do that...
