Our Home is slipping away... Please HELP now!
Posted by buyahome on 2012-05-17 13:58:58
As the housing bubble collapsed, my family and I could see the coming recession and its fall out coming. While my wife has a steady and secure job, and I ran a successful public relation business, we could not chance getting caught in the down pour of bad lending and foreclosure we saw coming. That was our last smart move.
As the recession, I might argue depression spread across the country and our town equally, like so many others, we found ourselves affected in ways we didn't see coming. My business began to fail, losing client after client to hard economic times, until those few clients who were left were asking for reduced costs, some even asking to keep services coming though they can not pay at this point. I have tried to oblige. I continue to serve many clients in trying to promote their products and services "pro-bono" so they can eek out a living in these times.
My wife has been great through all this. She works a steady "day job" to barely meet our monthly rent and bills.
We have tapped every credit card, and can't pay their monthly bills and fees. We have ruined our credit, believing if we could hold back the storm, and continue to help those we serve, we would be alright on the other end.
NOW, as home prices are finally in reach, we find that we can no longer qualify for the loan that would get us, and our five sons into a new home. With home costs once nearing and surpassing $200K, we can now buy the perfect home for $50K. That's what we're asking for now: $50K!! Banks, once far too anxious to give loans for over-priced homes to people who could not afford them, now turn us away for a much more reasonable loan that would actually lower our monthly expenses by almost 1/2. We now watch as wealthy investors snatch up the homes once financed by real families and foreclosed on. But in the time it takes to rebuild the credit we need to get financed, these moguls will have all of the properties and be renting them out to all of us who could not hope to own under these terms.
So we turn to YOU! A generous stranger, who can help make our dream come true. YOU can donate a small portion of this expense, and help us to make this dream come true. We are setting a goal of $50K, and hoping to beat the tide of greedy investors from owning what could be our new home. As we get closer to our goal we will use some of the thoughtful contributions we receive to repair the credit we have forfieted, so we might get the funding we need on our own through a bank. IF this happens, and we exceed donations needed, then we will donate the remaining funds to others on Begslist.com, including to the Begslist.com creator to continue to help neighbors help neighbors ... because we all need help sometimes!

Money Needed to openup a Restaurant
Posted by Startup on 2012-05-01 09:58:21
I have finally found a business that cam make money if we keep it simple. A restaurant.
Iâd like to start as soon as possible it is fully equipped and I have an opportunity to make it work. It is our family dream to own and operate a restaurant that offers good food at reasonable prices that people can afford. We will put our menu in front of hundreds if not thousands of hungry people that will be able to afford the low prices for the food we will serve to the community. This is not a get rich quick scheme to price gauge people but to work with their budget and meet their needs.
Our restaurant will be run by well experienced people in the business and a chef that has cooked catered to celebrities, We will start small and establish a business that will be passed down for generations, possibly a franchise.
We will need a small pick up truck, advertise, and be able to stock the restaurant and begin to pay our staff. This will enable me to take charge of my own life, make money, improve my quality of life for my family and contribute more to the community and pay more taxes to help run the country.
I will update you of any progress made through your efforts to help me get started. This is going to take some substantial amount of money to get started. Please Donate whatever you can to help me get this Up and running.

Desparately Need Money for New Business
Posted by cyberbeggar22 on 2012-03-04 23:58:04
Hi, my name is Glenn, I formally managed a small nationwide business that unfortunately wound down in 2009 - it had run its course. Since that time I've been nearly homeless.
I've conceived of a new business concept but have zero money to launch even the first phase. The biz concept is a new exercise system somewhat akin to Yoga (as it is taught today) but utilizes western, scientifically based modalities along with complementary enhancement technologies. I firmly believe, the system I have conceived could very well supplant contemporary Yoga.
I need Money to:
1. Hire an expert from the primary Modality (four synergistic modalities) to assist in fine-tuning my sequence.[Have an expert in mind, she worked for our former Company.]
2. Hire a videographer
3. Produce a simple Video
4. Hire a Model to Demo the sequence to Angel Investors
5. Miscellaneous Expenses.
I've calculated the first phase could be done for approximately $12,000 I live in San Francisco, CA and it would be launched here. If the terms were very comfortable, I'd be more than happy to commit to repayment w/ moderate interest + a reasonable equity option.
THANKS MUCH FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Injuries to body; affecting finances...
Posted by NurseInNeed on 2012-02-22 21:58:55
I am a Nurse (Hospice) receiving Disability, and waiting to get back to work. I deal with severe spinal problems, I have had multiple back surgeries, multiple spine procedures, and now live a life in pain daily. No crying here, I am an advocate for others that live in Chronic Pain.
In Jan.'12, I blew out my knee that has already had 2 surgeries. I am waiting for MRI, and results that will tell so much more--a 3rd knee surgery, or back to work?
It is this interim point that I am asking for help to get through.
The last home I was living in, turned out to be a home with several types of Abuse going on. It was there I hurt my knee, and was treated like an animal. I left at the end of Jan., for my own safety, and am staying with family this month, who really can't afford me.
***I was blessed to find a reasonable place to rent for March, it is getting in there that is the issue monetarily. My family can not help me now, (or I wouldn't be here asking). They have been there for me, gave me a couch to sleep on, and ears to cry to.
If anyone who reads this remembers the care they received from a caring and educated nurse, and wants to help out, just know that I am striving to get back to nursing, to make money again, etc. In pain or not! I don't let that keep me down. I am not a lazy person, and actually I hate not being able to work right now!!
Thanks for reading...AND THIS WILL BE PAID FORWARD!!

Wolves at the door
Posted by Hope00 on 2012-02-14 07:58:32
Well, this is embarrassing, but for the sake of my children I am doing it anyway.
I have a problem with bailiffs. My husband left me and also left me with all his unpaid debts as well as three children to support. I lost my job a year ago and have not been able to find another yet, although I have been trying. I am on benefits, but they do not cover the debts or the mortgage payments I need to make. I am trying to sell the house, and the mortgage company are being fairly reasonable, but even so, if I do not sell in time, I will also lose my house. If I can sell, I can pay my debts and move into rented with some money left over. But that's a long shot in the current market.
However, the most urgent problem is the bailiffs. They are demanding immediate payment of £2,020 (approx $3,300 USD) or they will take my possessions to auction to cover the debt. It's a joke, my paltry possessions will not cover the debt, but they will take them anyway. The longer the debt goes unpaid, the more "interest" they are adding to the bill and they refuse to take instalments, saying my husband broke the original agreement with them and now it's too late for that. Unfortunately, they are legally allowed to do this, (since we had an earlier agreement with them and they have what is called a levy on the house contents) as well as intimidate, threaten and even break into my house to collect my stuff. It's a frightening situation. I am afraid to answer the door in my own home and I have had to tell the kids not to either, because they are not above forcing their way in past them. I have tried the police, but they say it's all legal and they cannot help me, even if these men break in (in fact, they will help THEM to do so, because I owe the money) Itâs unbelievable, but it's true. I have even asked the help of a solicitor, but he says the same thing, unless the law is changed, there is nothing he can do. No one appears to be trying to find my husband, and I do not have the resources to look.
I hate having to ask, but I am terrified of these men. I can't eat or sleep and I am worried about the effect this is having on the kids.
I hope there is someone (or several people maybe) who can help me out of this mess I have been left with.
Thank you for your time.
Hope.

My youngest (of 4) daughter Isabella was born in 12/17/2004 with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. OI in short is brittle bone disease and Bella was born with 12 fractures. The doctors gave Isabella 48 hour to live and told me that there was nothing they could do for her. After 12 weeks of fighting for her life and begging the doctors to help her and no success I demanded the doctors to release her and on BLIND FAITH we loaded our 4 children ages 7-12 weeks old and everything that would fit into our 2 trucks and with $4000 we set out from dallas to the tampa shriners hospital for childrens for medical care.
In the first year of Isabellas life she was life flighted 5 times over a 6 month period, spent spent 80% of the year living in ICU, was vented 2x and spent 28 days in a coma.
We quit counting Isabellas fractures at 50 and by the grace of God last december Isabella turned 7. She is currently 20.9 pounds and 29 inches. She is a smart happy well adjusted 1st grader with a sunshine yellow wheelchair and a 1 on 1 para in a regular classroom. She is funny and the glue that binds our family together.
We have been ok with Isabellas medical care for the last 7 years and Shriners is amazing and does the best for her that they can but in this economy we find that they are more reactive than proactive. I have been researching around for state of the art medical care for kids with OI and I have found it in Omaha NE. We have contacted the doctor and have been accepted as a paitent as soon as we can raise the nearly $10,000 we will need to relocate our family to Omaha.
With that said and Isabellas mounting unpaid medical bills we are buried with nothing in savings. We are in search of someone or many someons who would be willing to help us raise the funds to move this amazing child as her dream is to be rodded and stand (a very reall possibility in Omaha)!
We would be willing to accept any reasonable loan offered and would be blessed with any donation (big or small)
Thank you again for taking the time to read my post and for any help financial or emotional that you may be able to afford us.
God bless you!

Recovery from ME is possible with
Posted by annieup on 2012-01-19 12:58:26
My family don't 'do' illness and have no support from them other than keeping in touch. I get on well with people but they really don't understand ME and so have no found any offers of help. Amazingly I am now working and that's good, but it doesn't pay for my recovery and i'm so ready for that now.
I have done alot of research and the cost of a private clinic programme which includes some contact with a practitioner, tests and treatment costs around £2000. That's to fully recover! (There is no recovery programme or treatment for ME on the nhs, just 'management) £2000 to recover from a debilitating illness is nothing in the wider scheme of things, and nothing to someone even on a reasonable wage for your health. Its such a dream for me. ME is so hard to live with, with daily pain. My entire life is geared around managing it and but now I see I could actually recover. I have much yet to do in life but need financial help to do this programme.
I work, I am not entitled to any benefits whilst working and do not have the energy for a second job. My disposable income after food and petrol is £50pcm. I have applied for many other jobs but my sickness record and my tiredness has stopped me gaining them.
I would be eternally grateful for any donations towards this recovery programme and if it ends up, as I hope, with me well and getting a reasonably paid job I will pass on all that I have been given to someone else in similar circumstances.

Posted by cuttriss163 on 2011-12-19 03:58:11
I am married adore my wife and have 5 children. I have served in the army,
and when coming out 9 years ago got a general job with a reasonable salary.
I have recently been made redundant and am now 4 months behind with the
rent. My children are not needy children but are now all at school and doing
well. I am trying desperately to get a job but to no avail, as there are so
many people trying to do the same, and I am now it appears the wrong side of
40. I would love to give my children and my wife a lovely xmas but as it is
stand to be evicted on the 23rd December if the rent is not paid, which
because of the size of the family would mean us being seperated. I am so
disappointed with myself that I do not appear to be able to support my
family at the moment, I would like to raise enough to guareentee a roof over
my familes head, and then hopefully love will be enough for xmas. I have
fought many wars in the army but this is the hardest by far a fight to keep
my family together. I have explained the situation to my family and imagine
the heartache when your little boy of 5 offers you his birthday money to
help!!!!
Please Please help me I am dying inside.
I'm Offering Holiday Help for Single Moms
Posted by eastcoastsanta on 2011-12-18 16:58:37
I hate to start such a positive offer out with a negative comment, but I want to get this out of the way: I will not help fakers and scammers. How will I know? Because you're going to have to do a little work to prove you are for real (not much I promise).
If you are serious about wanting help, email me at EastCoastSanta@gmail.com and include the following:
1. Tell me a little about your family and your situation, why are things so desperate. I'll warn you right now, lazy college kids looking for drinking money will be ignored. This offer is for people who NEED IT.
2. What city are you in?
3. How much money or other help you think you need, please be honest but reasonable.
4. Finally, if you are for real I want a picture of you, with at least one of your kid(s) dressed in Christmas colors (red and green) holding a note saying "Hello Santa!". Yes this is bizarre, but it will give me some little reassurance that I'm dealing with real people and not likely some fraud.
You may ask how safe is it to deal with me?
1. I'm not going to ask you for any money or bank info (friendly advice by the way, don't ever send anyone money or account information, they don't need that to send you money).
2. If you don't like the thought of doing a picture, it's easy, don't reply to this offer. I understand the concern but unfortunately a few rotten apples ruined this offer last year and now I ask for proof before giving.
Please note, I can't help everyone who requests it, much as I wish I could. but I will make a decision based on each situation and help as many as I can.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays, and whether I can help or not, I truly hope things improve for you this next year.

Need help getting back on my feet
Posted by TiffanyK90 on 2011-11-17 10:58:23
My license got suspended because I couldn't afford insurance. I don't have any alternate modes of transportation and there are no businesses within reasonable walking distance. There's not much work in the area I live in either. We have sold virtually everything we own and all the money went to bills and now we are stuck again. It is winter and we have nowhere else to go if we are kicked out, we will have to resort to living in my car that is falling apart and risk driving illegally. I am stuck. I have applied online to every place that IS hiring with no luck. Our family has done all they can for us and we now have nowhere to turn.
I need help. I am willing to work if anyone needs a typist or data entry person or any kind of online/typing work I can do it for you.
Thank you and God Bless
