Post a Beg Now!

Victim of Rick Perry

Posted by wittynamehere99 on 2012-04-26 18:58:34

I was one of the few employees laid off in a state that somehow survived the recession largely intact, but my position didn't thanks to a governor who rejected parts of the stimulus package. After a struggle for searching for work at home, I set out, with the meager earnings I was able to produce through freelance writing, at a whopping two cents a word, camping along the way, to apply to every open position I could find across this country. 23 months later, I'm still searching. I'm not bilingual, and I don't have a degree. What I do have is experience, an amazing way to deal with people face to face and a ridiculous work ethic, but apparently those aren't the traits looked for in this job market, merely the person who was committed enough to spend four years on a campus.

The math, well, that and the awesome algorithms behind gmail tell me I've applied to 3,150 jobs in over a dozen states. Maybe a hundred interviews from the whole lot. And according to the IRS paperwork I sent in recently, my income last year was a far cry from the most recent classification of the poverty line.

Anything helps, and would be forever appreciated.

One of these days an application will lead to an interview which will lead to an offer, but until then, what? All I can do is keep plugging away. Sleeping in my car when I can't afford a cheap motel room. Waking up to an aggravated foot and hip thanks to my injuries in a life I feel so far removed from it doesn't even feel like it was real anymore.

And I guess, come across this site from the random google search of a desperate person, trying to find some help in a world that seems to have rejected her.

The more I write, the more I keep hearing that little voice on my head saying "Quit your bitching, there are those who have it far worse.", so I'll stop now. Again, any type of help is beyond appreciated. Thank you for reading this far.

Dog Troubles

Posted by Duckee on 2012-02-17 11:58:20

Yesterday morning I gave birth naturally to a beautiful 9lb10oz baby girl, and an hour after I was notified my dog, Tyson, had gotten out (my room mate let him out because he doesn't like my dog).
The pound called and said it would be $150 and $20 a day for every day he is there. So now $170..
we have $80 so far from a few friends, but not enough yet. And we would make the room mate pay, but there's no proof other than what history says.
Which brings the story here. I believe in random acts of kindness, and I'm asking anyone reading this to donate to help us get him out. Even if all you can give is a dollar, please, everything helps.

Please help us get Tyson.

Anyone actually visit this site to help people?

I've been struggling to keep my family's needs met. Work is incredibly hard to find. We have had to get help for rent and cut back on food even.

I doubt anyone really cares about our situation but if you do, a donation of anything would be extremely helpful. I can't imagine anyone going out of their way to visit this website with the intention of helping some random person. But might as well try anyway... Thanks for reading my post.

Lets be honest, the chances of a random person sending you money because of your ad here are pretty slim. They have no way of telling whether you are legitimate and your facing constant stiff competition from other ‘beggers’ (I hate using that word!)

If you really do need money and are in a personal crisis situation, contact me at Patrick_simmons@hotmail.co.uk. I’ll show you exactly how to raise the money you need to get you back on your feet.

You wont need to spend a penny and this is not some dodgy make money online scheme where you’d spend hours filling out surveys for peanuts. This is a genuine way to get the money you need – that’s if you really need it.

Furthermore, I will not claim to send you money and then pop you a fake certified check in the post hoping you’ll fall for my scam and send me the (non-existent) ‘extra’ amount I accidently added to the check (too many of those scams on sites like this).

One last time: this is a legitimate opportunity to raise the money you need. If you’re serious about solving your personal crisis, get in touch: Patrick_simmons@hotmail.co.uk

Need Help Alone Broke Depressed ) :

Posted by sadalone on 2011-11-12 15:58:25

All I have is God and myself to turn to. I have battled depression to this extreme before, but the last time I recall feeling this dreadful was when I was 21 years old. This is probably a lot of recent stresses, and built up stresses all crashing down on a traumatic event that occurred when I was 21. I realize that only I can change this perspective, but I everything, and I mean EVERYTHING to change for the better. All I do is make things worse for myself. I have gotten to the point where I get home from work and cry my living heart out for hours, I don't cry so much in front of people, because I am ashamed at my weakness, but I just can't do this much longer. I need help. I don't want to learn the hard way anymore! Im losing my job, no going homeless, no more.... I just want to be a happy person, and I have been battling a rapidly growing depression in the last few months. I know that I am the only one to blame for it all, and I have the power to change it... yet, somehow, I have begun seriously wondering if I can do this much longer. I don't want to hit rock bottom... but rock bottom for my emotions may have passed up a long time ago... I just don't know what to do anymore. I have no vehicle or insurance, or money, or time... so I'm in a last minute search for some help... coping mechanisms that I can live by... I just need prayers... I need so much more too... I need to stop feeling like this! I can't even type up a random forum topic without crying b/c I sound just as confused as I am. Just help me!

18 year old American needing to see a doctor!

Posted by Sam93 on 2011-09-01 22:58:19

Hi people. I'm new to this site and I guess I feel quite stupid here :)

Anyway, just like a lot of people, I'm not living such a good life. At age 10 I moved house and lost all my friends and began a new life of loneliness, I got shy and lost all my confidence and I was bullied in school. And now I'm feeling ill after a long time of random illnesses. Obviously I can't afford these major healthcare prices since we don't have universal healthcare. Plus I haven't got insurance. I suspect I have esophaghal cancer or I may be developing it. I have all the symptoms. I'd be extremely delighted if some kind-hearted people could spare some change somehow so that I can go to the doctor, get checked out, and then sort out my life and do my bit for society.

Thanks, Sam.

Lets cut to the chase...I need $5000.00 and I can tell you where every last penny will go if you really want me to.
1. Mortgage $1000.00
2. Car repairs 500.00
3. Bills $2000.00
4. Home repairs (roof and collapsing porch) $1500.00

We are a hard working family with 2 beautiful, yet sassy kids...and we struggle everyday. Our credit SUCKS, so a bank won't give us a loan, and those PAY DAY crooks do nothing to help you, they just make it worse.

So here I am...BEGGING online to random strangers that could hold in their hands the money that could really help us out.
If by some chance you have an extra $5000.00 or even more lying around and you would like to help out a person that will "pay it forward", I AM YOUR GIRL!

Family of 4 looking for a hand up, not a hand out.

Posted by forever8288 on 2011-04-20 04:58:08

My husband and I have been together for 3 years now. Since we first got together we have had to move 6 times in 4 different cities. We have went through one rental contract after another, moving once each contract was up. Each time, having to find new jobs in a new area. This has taken a major toll on our family in the sense of having no stability. We moved into a new home back in November, a home that the owner's agreed to sell to us for CFD. Finally feeling as though we have some security and structure, we became comfortable, only to find out at the end of last month that the owners now want to sell it outright. We do not have the credit or job history to get a loan through any bank or lender. This is once again leaving us with no place to call home. And with it being such short notice, we had little time to try to make new arrangements. Now we have to move ourselves and our 2 young children in with my parents until we can get our feet on solid ground again. This is going to mean the four of us living in a single room that used to be a 2 car garage. This disappointing news was made worse by me losing my job 2 weeks ago once it was discovered that we would be relocating far away. My husband was let go from his place of work back in January after missing too many days after his brother was killed in a car accident. 4 months into the new year has only brought us sadness and disappointment, and I am to the point of putting any small bit of pride I had aside and asking for help. We are a younger couple who want nothing more than to provide a nice, safe, secure home for our children. We don't drink, do drugs or party. We have always earned our living the honest hardworking way, and we continue to wait to see that come through for us. We are both actively looking for work, filling out applications, sending in resumes and contacting work placement places constantly. We just need that jump start to get us settled into a permanent home. Because, it is extremely hard to keep a job when you have to constantly move. If you are able to help in any way, be it by donation or job placement, we would greatly appreciate it and would like for you to send a message with an email address so we can thank you personally. As far as our experience, I have 5 years' clerical experience including medical and have completed my generals in college with top grades, and my husband has done work restoring car exteriors and graphics/paint along with some mechanical work and random clerk positions, as well as labor/factory work. Please help us make a stable home for our two wonderful kids, who deserve that and so much more! Thank you!

need some breathing room

I lost my job back in october and was unable to secure another job until january, a telemarketing position that pays on commission only. i recently got another job doing door to door sales, and this job has better potential to make money, but it is also on commission only. my problem now is that im stuck in a lease that i can't afford anymore. i cant even afford groceries and i dont have money to put gas in my car (which is the only thing of value that i own at this point because ive sold almost everything else that i have of value on craigslist) to go visit my family who live about 2 hours away, and i can barely afford to put gas in it to make it into work every day. recently i found out that one of my tires has a slow leak, and so every day i have to go to the gas station in order to put air in it so i can get to work (where i dont make enough money) ive asked my parents for help, and theyve done as much for me as they can, if not more than they can afford, but i cant just keep asking mom and dad for money because they dont have it in their budget to have to support me every time i get in a bind either. all im asking for is some breathing room to help me get the things taken care of in order to survive, such as getting a new tire for my car and being able to afford food. anything would help and be very greatly appreciated, im just at the point where i dont know what else to do but swallow my pride and ask random strangers for money. thanks for any consideration.

Ever since I was in middle school, I've wanted to attend NYU Tisch School of the Arts for Music Theater. Now half of my dream has come true! I have been accepted into their program! Unfortunately, I cannot pay for it. After my aid awards, expenses are $40,000 a year, and I can't take out a lot of loans! My dad lives in Peru and never sends me a dime, my grandma is ill and unemployed, and my mom is a teacher who is currently undergoing a salary freeze. As the child of a single parent, I have don't necessarily have the funds to pay for my education! My mom can't take out any loans, so all of the loans would be in my name, and there is no way I can ever pay off all this money! I'm Latin American, fluent in spanish, have a 104% cumulative GPA, am second in my class, have a 2200 cumulative SAT score, almost 300 hours of community service, volunteer for four organizations, have one lots of random awards/honors...do I really need to say more? I've worked my butt off to get this far! And all of this hard work has sadly reaped very little aid. Please, if you have any extra cash, help me go to college!

Please, help me go to college!

Help Me Spread The Word About A Project That Makes People Feel Good?

Hello,

I was going to ask for help with my rent originally but for some reason this project seems more important to me right now!

And I realize there are many much more worthy causes on here but if you are in a very giving mood maybe you'll have room for me too...

The project is called Positive Post-its (http://fb.com/positivepostits) and as the name suggests it's basically a social/art experiment involving the spreading of joy/love/hope/positivity etc via the very humble Post-it note!

I was so bogged down last year with personal and financial issues and realized that so many people around me were facing the same negative distractions day in day out too so I decided to start leaving these cheery messages/drawings around the place. I soon noticed that it really helped lift my mood and it made some random strangers pretty happy too!

I'd love to be able to keep this project going and set up a decent online home for it with a domain and hosting and maybe even pay for some advertising but unfortunately I've been out of work for a while now and I hope to return to art college so the prospects for cash that I can put towards this are pretty dismal.

If you like the idea or need a pick me up then maybe you might like to join us on Facebook and get involved.

In terms of money, it wouldn't take much and if it wouldn't mean a sacrifice on your part I would be over the moon with any donations you might consider!

Our motto: "The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer somebody else up." - Mark Twain.

ANY donation would cheer me up like there's no tomorrow!

I heart your face! xoxo

Thank you for taking the time to read this too! You're pretty amazing aren't you...I can tell :D

P.S. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so so so grateful! You should definitely feel confident in the fact that you've made my day! My Paypal Account is : aoife.dwyer@gmail.com

Hmm

Posted by humanbeing on 2011-02-16 02:58:48

I really like the new set-up of this place. Much easier to find people in need. A lot less glitchy too.

Anyway As for the general poor-me request: I am a twenty-three year old female with no real life experience that just really really wants to find some sort of direction.

I have been unemployed for roughly a year and a half. The first few months of this were incredibly hard as my boyfriend at the time had been out of work for about a year. As the months piled on though, I found that the motivation to work any sort of job had abandoned me. i had no reason to. Everything I (and he) needed was taken care of by mainly his family. I received about fifty dollars a month from helping out my grandmother. I eventually left my husband (for all intents and purposes) because I couldn't handle the stress of trying to balance the demands of my family with the day-to-day life with him (all while living with his family). I moved to my parents/grandmothers place (again) and lived out of a camp trailer in the backyard. After a couple of months I went kind of crazy and thought that a change of scenery would at very least motivate me into doing something for myself. I went to live with my sister and started to rebuild myself. Two months into that i was called back to my parents place to help them out again. Two days into that my grandmother died.

Hey, if you made it this far right on!

Anyhow, I have been living in my grandmother's old house for the past two months now. I don't need anything. My parents provide it all for me. (I really wish they would kick me out.)
I have decided that I do NOT want a regular job. I want to make a living online. Unfortunately that motivation isn't with me in any venue I can find besides the small task sites...

If you choose to donate to me based on this random outpour of words the money would go towards a bank account, a domain, and hosting. I could use a new computer as well, but I really would prefer to earn some sort of money when it comes to that.

I guess I am just venting...

Please help me allow my wife to be a stay at home mother

Posted by msperling on 2011-02-08 08:58:58

Hello everyone. I am here to ask for your help. My wife and I just enjoyed the wonderful experience of having a child and I want nothing more than for her to be able to stay at home and raise him. But due to the fact that I have outstanding student loans, which will require a $260 payment each month for the next 20 years, we cannot afford to have her stay at home. I am asking for anything you can provide to assist me in paying off my student loans.

I don't want to be a free loader, but I don't have much to offer either. So anyone that donates more than $1.50, I will send a random baseball card from my collection (I collected from 1986 to 1990). Each dollar donated above $1.50 will result in another card sent. Just leave your address in the Paypal note.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can assist in this. Ultimately, the goal is $29,621 - so every little bit will help.
