I'm currently attending a University in Northeast Ohio. My Spring and Summer classes are online until my children return back to school in the fall. Then I will be attending classes on campus in the Fall and Winter Quarters. Unfortunately, this is how my college years will have to be.

I'm begging for money for my college expenses. Every penny will be going toward tuition, textbooks, and other directly related college expenses.

I only ask because the expense of college is becoming a huge issues at my house. We are falling behind on everything else trying to get me through school. I do not want to end up having to quit!

I'm back in school for so many reasons. The biggest one is to get the heck out of poverty and off of government assistance.

I am a single 50 year old woman. I have raised two natural born boys and three adopted boys. I have raised these children as a single woman and at times worked two jobs. I have received a scholarship for school but due to illness, I currently need seven classes to complete my education. I am currently on disability but would like to earn my own way of income. I am asking for help to complete my goal of graduating from college. In my family I would be the first to graduate from college. In fact, my son has graduated from college (while serving our country, this was the only way we could afford his education) before I have finished school. The degree I am trying to obtain is a BS in Biology, BS in Forensic Science and a minor in Chemistry. I am willing to work a salary earning job (which I am also trying to obtain while I continue my education. In order to do this, I plan to enroll in the Organic Chemistry course of three quarters and the Physic course of three quarters and one DNA processing course of one quarter. The cost to complete this goal totals $15,000.00 (should the amount either increase or decrease, I shall update this information). I intend to obtain a salary earning job in order to support myself during this time. As you can see, we are a family that is willing to work hard to succeed and give back once again. I am not asking you for a hand out but a hand up. I am a woman who has had to sacrifice in my past in order to give my children the best I could. I am a diabetic with Fibromyalgia. I have gastro paresis and have been in and out of the hospital at least every three weeks. I have nerve damage to the nerve in my stomach. I have had to leave school for the last year and a half. I started the year of 2011 taking twenty different medications and ended 2011 only taking seven medications now. I have worked hard this last year and intend to be more aggressive in 2012. I believe that each day gives a person a chance to take one step forward and one step is still a forward motion. I realize there are days that one step seems impossible, but I think it is up to me to take that step. I appreciate the advice along the way, but it is my path to walk. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes we need to reach out to others. I am a giver and I feel uncomfortable about asking for help then it occurred to me that maybe some of those people I gave to have been waiting for an opportunity to give back. I believe that we may not be able to give back to that person because of death. You can still give back to the universe and I know I am part of that universe. Please take a minute to give. I have been laid off since October of 2009. The only work I've been able to find is temporary work which may last 1 day or a few weeks. I've exhausted unemployment insurance. I've been applying to at least 15 jobs a day, 7 days a week. I call my network of recruiters every week looking for work but it's hit or miss. I was contracted to a 10 month position that was cut to 3 months. I showed up for work on a Monday and was told that morning that the work flow had slowed down and I wasn't needed anymore. I'm ineligible for a new unemployment claim because I haven't met the income threshold due to not having worked for 2 fiscal quarters prior to my claim which I would have if I wasn't screwed out of the contract position. I was already 2 months late on my rent which is $700, due to unemployment checks not being enough to cover the rent and utilities that come to about $300. I choose between eating or having electricity some months. The loss of this job has royally screwed me! I'm now facing being 3 months behind. I'm facing imminent eviction. I've got no where to store my stuff and no way to pay for storage. I'm waiting for the decision for an interview I had Friday but that's not written in stone that I'll get it. I'm just trying to hold on to me and my son's place to live. ANY thing anyone could donate would be greatly appreciated. I've tried applying to gov't agencies for help but they seem to want you on the street already before they offer any help!

Never done this before, so not sure where to start. Never usually aske for anything. I am a single (working) mum with three boys. My eldest has a chance to go to Space academy in Alabalma for gifted/talented children at his school. It is a huge honour to be chosen but is very expensive. I know this isn't life or death but I am very proud of him. And want him to have the opportunities this brings, and prove that n single families can do as well as others. I have saved and fundraised, three quarters of the money but am struggling with the last £500. Once I have paid the mortgage, there isnt alot left and I receive no maintenance or benefits. Any help, even 10p or a £1 would make the world of difference. Even if you don't donate, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hard Working Mom is falling short.

I am 19 years old and I am currently 6 months pregnant with my first child, I am full-time student thanks to the Pell Grant and I hope to one day become a nurse. I am unemployed and have no support, I eat maybe two meals a day, and have been moving from place to place. I am truly miserable I know that I have put myself in this predicament but I need help getting out. I can barely afford gas to get to and from school which is less than a mile away, other than that I sit on a sofa all day looking for jobs on the internet, and applying but knowing that with a giant belly and only three months til delivery no one wants to hire me! I forgot to mention I put quarters in my car for gas to get to doctors appointments and I was supposed to go back for the Diabetes test but can not get there, I am grateful to have a car, but it also has so many problems that I could never afford to fix. I still need books for school, gas to get there, maybe some food, for now and am terrified at the thought of also needing to find a place for me and baby to live. It is the worst feeling to feel disabled, dependent, and stuck because you have no money at all. All I can do is pray, it feels horrible to beg and stoop to this level, but I am truly stuck. I just want the best for my baby when she arrives!

Hello everyone! I'm asking for quarters for a good cause. I'm a legally blind individual who is hoping to go to Alaska to find work. Actually i am a teacher, i have two daughters, a wife and an old car, living in employee's quarters, i lost all my money and fell into deep debts with huge loans because of helping my brother's internet cafe business which finally ended up with heavy debts, the money supposed to be buying our house all gone. Now i can't afford to buy a house and have to pay a lot of bills. You may say i am a dumb silly idiot, losing own self to help others, but that exactly happened to me and my family.
I have tried everything to get money but really it's beyond my ability to solve the problem. I can't find any good method to get a house for my family. I have been a struggling entreprenuer since the early 90's. While I was a law enforcement officer full time.I have owned a cleaning services in nyc for a few years that I lost trying to help others that only cared about themselves. I Lost alot of money and all my cleaning contracts with the applebees restaurants. Then in 2007 I left my cop job to work for myself full time instead. I opened a partnership business as a financial consultant. The economy killed that business. My lenders and investment firms just stopped lending money. So therefore, my clients couldn't get the funds they needed for their projects. Which meant that I couldn't get any commissions from my clients. So that business died. As you can see I have been trying to acheive financial freedom for well over a decade. And I am still determined to do just that. I am now fixing to get into a business that I should have gotten involved with back in the 90's. It's definitely recession proof! In fact the bad economy has set the demand for this type of service in over drive. Heck! The need for this type of service has been in over drive since the 9/11 tragedies. The industry I am talking about is SECURITY!!!. I know I cannot fail with this business! Why?! Because there is a strong demand for it! Especially down here in charlotte nc where I now live. Security covers a broad spectrum in services. I intend to do the obvious. Which is security guard and patrol services. The problem is I have no more money to start my security guard business. I am currently an armed security guard who just got laid off as of 03/31/11. And I can't go back to work until my GUARD CARD from the state comes back. I can no longer work while waiting for it to come in (ALTHOUGH I'VE BEEN ACTIVELY WORKING SINCE LAST SEPTEMBER). The bright side is that I have time to set things in motion for my own business. The downside is, I will be living off of $155.00 in unemployment benefits. Which I won't receive my first payment for another two weeks. Which will not do much since I have a pregnant wife, a 5 year old autistic daughter, a one year old son. And I am also paying child support to my 15 year old son's mom back in nyc. YES I AM FLAT BROKE! If it wasn't for my daughter's SSI benefits our rent wouldn't be paid this month. I really am feeling like less of a man on that fact alone. I want to provide for my family the way a REAL man should. And I know that I can do it again with this security business! But I need money to get it going. I am going to need about $500,000.00. This 500K will afford me the opportunity to buy patrol vehicles, uniforms, office space,supplies, business insurance, equipment and at least 2 salaries for the first year out. I intend to service the neighborhood watch program communities. Since no companies are doing it. I don't know why they aren't but it is a HOT market right now. And with my 13 years of law enforcement experience. As well as an additional 8 years of security experience. I know that I can put together a very effective and well saught after security force. So if there is anyone out there, out of the millions upon millions of people that are online right now, tomorrow, and everyday that wants to help me out. I am currently trying to get started in the process of buying a new house to accommodate my three children. We have been living in cramped quarters for several years now and I have had to defer on student loans in order to pay the bills; however, I can no longer keep them in deferment. The overall amount of the student loans is also keeping my credit score from being the best it can be so it is causing me a great deal of trouble to get a decent mortgage loan due to the strict qualifications that have arisen out of the recent home market collapse and struggling economy.

The total student loan amount is $22,000, but I'm not asking for everyone to pitch in and pay it off for me. I am just asking for some help in bringing down the balance so I can help increase my credit score.

Any assistance you could offer would be extrememly appreciated and if you can help me make enough of a dent in the total student loan amount, then I may be able to get my children in a more comfortable living scenario. My family and I would be eternally grateful for your generosity.

I am going to be honest by first telling you how truly humiliating this is. I am sure there are a million people on here who are trying to get your attention with their stories about horrific accidents and medical bills. How do you know if they are telling the truth? you don't, you have to rely on your gut...I am asking you to please open your heart and walk a month in my shoes.

My husband lost his job, and I am a stay at home mother to our 10 month old daughter. We earn $500 a month which is my baby bonus.

this $500 has to last us the whole month. We always make sure that our daughter comes before us. She always has food, clothes and diapers. After we buy these for her we are not left with much money.

Right now in my kitchen I have pasta with no sauce, peanut butter, bread, milk. That's it.

My daughter is in need of some new toys, she seems to be getting bored of her toys, which is making her really grumpy.


I am not a greedy person, When I was working and had money I was always generous, and I am begging for your help.

I really don't expect anyone to hand me $10 or $20 of their hard earned money. So I am hoping that everyone who reads this will offer me their spare change. pennies, dimes, quarters, etc. I am in need of anything.

Please help this 47 year old student returning to school and out of work for three months. I have only a few quarters left at ITT Tech in Albuquerque to complete my associates degree. I recently had to turn a vehicle in after the lease was up and was unable to get credit for another vehicle, after a recent divorce left me with all kinds of bills. I will get caught up eventually, but finding work while riding the bus or my bike has been hard at best. I need money to buy a scooter, an inexpensive mode of transportation. The IT world is sure to provide a decent living, but employers are not hiring until after graduation. For the time being, I am working part time at a nearby restaurant. The money from that job is not enough to pay rent, but if I had at least some kind of way to get around it would be much easier to find a better job. Thanks in advance for all your support.

I am currently residing in Maryland. On 06.25 I lost my seat at a design firm becausethe son of the firms president graduated and could not find a job, so I was cast off. Making things worse, I was denied unemployment benefits from DC because my 1st day of work at the firm was 10.01 and as such, did not earn income in two consecutive quarters in 2009, making me inelligible of unemployment insurance benefits.

Move forward to 07.27 where my divorce is finalized and I am cleaned out. It just so happens on the same day in another room of the courthouse, the foreclosure sale of my home is ratified.

Last week I decided that the job market in disrepair holds no clear or positive future for me and that it would be best to move back to my hometown to start over.

However, with no job, no unemployment benefits... well nothing. I need help. I need to raise the cash necessary to pay for a truck, tolls, and fuel for an 800mi sojourn.

Is there anyone who can help?
