This is quite humiliating but I am desperate. I live with my two kids. I was downsized from my job. I have applied for about 30 jobs a day via monster,careerbuilder. I am the person usually helping homeless by asking for clothing donations, however I am now the one who needs help. I need help paying my rent for this month. I am very marketable and know I will get a job soon, but I am running out of time at my apartment complex. My one time rent is now at 913.00, because of late fees. I should be on my feet by next rent cycle. Just need a donation this one time. I recently was released from the local Mental Health Center. (I lost my job and wife the same day)Then, found out a fried committed suicidea a while hack, and I did't even know. That just broke it for a week. I came close to suicide, namely after running out of every cent I have. This week, I'll lose phone, car, rent, everything. Some very good people helped my back from that ledge, but it doesn't help keeping a home and electricity. I will a few hundred dollars on April 21, but can't hold out that long. If someone could see their way to help me for that month, for survival purposes, you would have my eternal gratitude. As soon as, or if, I get this help, you will be paid back. It may take me a bit to get back on my feet, but it will come back.

Stated Goal: $2,000.00 (by March 21st, 2012) for tuition, books and some new pants to get my academic career going... Breakdown of $1,288.33 for tuition/fees, approximately $400.00 in textbooks/supplies for the quarter, and the remainder for some pants and necessary travel expenditures for the first month of school.

I know you have many options with where your hard-earned money goes - some may make you feel GREAT about shedding a few pounds in the wallet, and others will leave you feeling downright dirty. I know this, because I was once in your shoes; money in my wallet, left only to my vices as to where to spend it. I never felt right about just handing it over to someone who, in my opinion, would merely go drink it away, drug it away, etc. It's funny how life throws these things all back into your face sometimes, and as such I find myself in need and hoping that the right person(s) will have the faith to invest in me - that's right, I said INVEST.

I don't believe in a handout, but I DO believe that sometimes we fall a bit harder than we are prepared to do and as such are put into situations that we neither expected nor are comfortable with. I opened a business that was going rather well for its first 7 months of operation. Then, through an anonymous post from someone online that "appeared" to be from my company, me and my business partner got black-balled from the industry (VERY political/bureaucratic in that particular industry). When this went under, though, it took me and everything I own with it - my vehicle, my home and much of my personal belongings. Prior to that, I spent 11 years on active duty military status in order to protect and serve this country. Yes, I've earned the G.I. Bill and fully intend to use it for its designed purpose. TheMy defining issue, however, is that the Bill pays for school on a month-to-month basis, at the END of each month of training. For example, my school begins this April 2nd so I cannot claim my benefits until the end of April, which will cause my first G.I. bill payment to get sent out in early May. The school, however, requires payment up-front and as explained above, I currently do not have the capital to get started. Once I've started, the Bill will sustain me, therefore I merely ask for assistance in getting the first quarter of classes paid, including books. I have a great academic history, and this is truly where I excel. My purpose is to some day acquire a PhD in pharmaceutics and do research to find new and improved medications for the benefit of the masses.

As for the pants, I have two pairs remaining and both have holes in the legs and crotch. While these DO technically work for all intents and purposes, it gets a bit breezy on these cold days and nights, and is probably unsightly (at best) to any of my would-be professors who may not appreciate an instructor's-eye-view of these things. As such, I figure I might like to buy a couple of pairs prior to matriculation.

We desperately need your help! We are a small church located in an economically disadvantaged community. We own a house that was deeded over to us by a former pastor and are at risk of losing that property because of our inability to pay some past due taxes on the property.

The house was deeded to the church over 30 years ago by a former pastor of the church who had become ill and subsequently passed away. The house is not located in the same community as the church. (In fact, it is some distance away from the church, and therefore could not be utilized for church-related purposes which would have taken it off of the tax roll). As a result of gentrification in that community, the property values have increased tremendously. The property tax assessment for the property owned by the church escalated to staggering heights during the housing bubble.

Because of this the church has had much difficulty keeping up with all of the taxes on the property (a general tax, a school tax, and a village tax). The rental income from the property is used to assist the church with operating expenses, maintenance of all of the church properties, as well as paying the taxes. Finally, reassessment in the last couple of years has brought down the amount of taxes to be paid and we are better able to handle some of the current taxes due, but some of the older taxes were sold and consolidated in tax lien sales. The consolidation of the prior taxes due has hurt us tremendously. Numerous times the unpaid taxes were consolidated prior to our completion of raising enough funds to pay off some of them in their unconsolidated state. Individually some were $1,000 to $3,000 respectively. They have been consolidated totaling almost $19,000. We are not permitted to pay the liens individually which was viable, we have to pay them in total.

There is a holding company based in the community where the house is located which purchased those liens. That company is now a few months away from being able to begin foreclosure proceedings and take a valuable piece of real estate out from under the church. This would be devastating to the church.

The church has been in the process of trying to sell the house and use the proceeds from the sale to build a much needed new church building in the community it is located as well as to pay off those outstanding liens at closing, and to unload a property that was once a blessing to the church, but has long since become a burden. We don’t want to lose the property. We want to be able to sell it. We had some offers on the house, but at the last minute a promising deal fell through. Previously interested buyers, for some reason now, are less interested. We feel it is possible that there may some collusion within the community where the house is located to wait for the lien process to move forward and that potential purchasers connected with the holding company will be able to take the property and flip it to tremendous financial advantage, while leaving the church with nothing for thirty years of struggling to take care of the property.

It is important that we are allowed to sell the house and build our new church. We are in the final stages of making the new building a reality. All we have to do is secure the construction financing. Receipt of a commitment letter for the sale of the house is all that stands in the way of a 40+ year dream for the congregation. It would give us the down-payment that we need to move forward.

With the construction of a new church, we would be able to operate before and after school programs, have handicap accessible restrooms, and provide better services to the community. We have a senior citizens housing complex across the street from our church, and many of the residents would attend our church but they are unable to climb up and down the stairs to the single-person restrooms in the basement. We also operate a summer day camp which would benefit greatly from having more space in which to operate. We would be able to accommodate many more youngsters, many of whose families are unable to afford the other summer camps operating in the area. We have had to turn down prospective campers because of space constraints.

Our congregational makeup has changed over the years. The financial impact of that changed has been coupled with the severe impact of the economic downturn on our community. We have more retirees now on fixed income, youth, and small children, many of whom have young mothers, and some people who are working age, mostly with working class wages. We need to build a church to better meet the needs of our congregation and community. We operate a food pantry and soup kitchen which would be able to open more days a week with bigger pantry space and a modern commercial kitchen.

As I stated, we are in the final stages of the building project. We have our permits, plans, and contractor selected. We are ready to obtain financing. The congregation, which has always striven to do much with little, has invested much in this projected over the years and the sale of this property owned by the church is the one thing that stands in the way of it happening. Please do not let us lose this property just so a few people can make a quick buck. Help us to pay off these tax liens so that our church will be able to help transform an entire community!

Does any body out there read these posts for other than entertainment purposes? If so, please Please read this entire post...it spans 3 months. We truly do need your help. This is one final update to my earlier post from 1/17/2010. My fiance has been unable to collect her needed travel papers from her hotel because she has been unable to pay her total bill. The expense has remained at $1500. She needs the money to pay her hotel bill, so she can retrieve her sale contracts. If anyone out there will help us pay the total bill, they will be reimbursed the total plus 50% more as a means of reimbursing you for your trouble.
Her payout for the property she has a contract on selling has been finalized, but she is unable to collect the needed paperwork her stupid lawyer gave to the hotel as a "payment guarantee". It sounds stupid, because it is stupid. I think this lawyer must have purchased his law degree from a "five and dime" establishment. Any of you out there who've had to deal with lawyers in foreign countries know exactly what I'm talking about here. They are sometimes not the sharpest knives in the drawers!!! My name is Dennis. In early December 2011, my fiance' traveled abroad to settle her late father's estate and to sell a large piece of property. When she went (at the insistence of her uncle), she was assured she would only gone for about 2 weeks because the property was supposedly a hot commodity. According to the family lawyer, who was acting as counsel for my fiance', the land would easily sell in 2 weeks. That was in early December. My fiance was sent overseas with very little clothing, very little money (the minimum to get by on for 2 short weeks) and she had no place to stay. She was not welcome to remain in the lawyer's home past a few days, since he had other relatives coming in for the Christmas holidays. She was basically forced into staying in a hotel which she did not have sufficient funding for. I have since tried to help but have completely hit the bottom of the barrel. I've sold anything and everything of value to try to keep up with the mounting hotel bills and her survival needs. Now the money has run out, I am unable to borrow any more. I have no family or friends I can count on to help and neither does my fiance'. The hotel manager has decidely made things much more difficult by seizing her passport and some important documentation and is holding her papers as hostage until she pays the bill. Until she gets paid for the property she is selling, which will be in the next 10 days, she cannot do anything but cry for help. (She is caught in a "catch-22) situation. She cannot sell the property without having her travel papers and the important documentation for the sale of her property. She can't get her papers back until she provides for payment to the hotel. She desperately needs a minimum of $1500.00 to settle the hotel bill and satisfy mounting living expenses. Please donate what you can. If you need to be repaid, she is willing to repay what she is loaned with some nominal interest applied. We will need to work that detail out later if required. Please, please, help. I need 5k to relocate to Arizona. I have a job, but I am living paycheck to paycheck and saving money is not even an option at this point. Every penny goes to bills. I know my financial woes are my own fault, but I need a little help to get on the right track.

I want to relocate as I have a job waiting for me in Arizona that would change my life and my families life. The company will not offer me relocation benefits because of the way the job was posted for recruiting purposes, but will hold the job for me. I just need to get there. I need to fly out, get a hotel and rental car, secure a lease on a home (want to pay 2 months up front), fly home and then move my belongings from IL to AZ.

Seems easy enough. And with assistance it could happen.

This is the first time I've ever had to do anything like this. I've worked since I was 13 until being laid off last year. Trying to provide for 2 kids as a single mom with severe arthritis in my spine is hard. I've been trying to find a job that I can physically do for over a year. I'm falling behind on all my bills. Last year I was declared permanently disabled by my doctor. ( I was on short term disability before that at work but they cut me off at 4 months instead of the year my seniority had earned). This sudden cutoff started my financial downfall into a spin. My job didn't "fire" me or "let me go", they just kept me active (out for medical issues), until I was no longer able to qualify for unemployment. If I had quit, then I would not have received any medical benefits any longer! In the mean time, I started the Social Security process, (which also does not allow unemployment claims) well. it takes 2 years to even see a judge, but somehow I am supposed to survive with no income until then! Ahhh but you are not allowed to work because then the judge feels you shouldn't be filing....( I mean, I am willing to lick stamps or something!) but strangely enough - I would be allowed (if doctor permitted something) AFTER I am approved, up to a certain amount of money. Whacked, right? So, here I am. I am supposed to see the doctor at least once a month for court purposes, but they don't really say how you are supposed to be able to afford to see him, if you can't have any income! My family has been so awesome helping me the best they can, but my parents are in a fixed income and elderly...my sisters have full families and their own struggles. I am so frustrated, I am not used to feeling like I can't take care of myself! I am sure you realize what kind of financial things I need help with..basic living. I am allowed to have food stamps - so thank goodness for that. I need assistance please with things like electricity, water, garbage, doctor, medication and gas for my car occasionally to get to the Dr...I do not have TV (about 1 1/2 years now) as it is a luxury, my parents offered to pay for my internet connection, which I am extremely grateful for...this is how I am able to post to all of you. I feel so weird posting this, and yes it is a bit humiliating. But I cannot stand to see my family go down the tubes because of what happened to me! Please consider helping me in anyway that you can. Being in school has forced me to live off credit. The student loan services have given me enough to pay tuition and for reasons unknown to me I'm not entitled to any grants or burserys. This is going to cost me my education. I can not go any longer. In addition the company my sister works at will be doing a training class for Reservations Sales Specialists in Jan 2012, That I could do by bus, and eventually work from home. My sister is willing to put me up but it is a family of 3 in 2 bedroom town house with a big dog.

I plan to leave 10/01 with a rental truck towing my car. Another idea I had was to find a Class C motor home with a tow bracket on it for about the same as the truck rental buy that and drive to Texas in that with my stuff in it towing my car that way I would just need to put my stuff in storage and find a place to put my motor home for a while.

My cat Angel whom I have had for 14 years has been ill it may be Hyperthyroidism or Diabetes I need to get blood tests to know for sure.

2.My 1986 Buick Century Ltd not behaving right think it might be a problem with Carburetor or Transmission, I need this car for my demonstration job this job cannot be done by bus I have equipment and materials I have to take with me for the Demonstrations.

3.I want to relocate to Dallas Texas because I have 2 job opportunities there and if they do not pan out then I feel job opportunities there are better than Washington State period.

I have a sister in Dallas Texas who works for Hilton Reservations World Wide I used to work for them in Hemet CA she talked to them and they see no problem with me returning to work for them but I would have to go thru the application, interview and training process. In addition the company (Prodemoworks based out of Arizona) I am currently working for doing in store demonstrations also does in store demonstrations in Dallas Texas, and I was able to get the name and email of the Dallas AM there I emailed her and she emailed me the name and contact information for the District supervisor whom I have contacted and she has already asked for my employee ID number so she can get me set up in the system.

I am actually hoping I can get a weekday schedule at Hilton and be able to work demonstrations on weekends. Yes work the 2 jobs. Also hoping to be able to go back to volunteering at a local animal shelter as I did in Ocean Shores WA for about 8 months.
I would like to leave for Dallas Texas October 1st 2011 or before. I am going by moving truck towing my car

My father is willing to put me up till October 1st 2011 but that is all he will do for me, he is and forgive me for saying this being a hard nose. (Long story there)

Also a friend of the family is willing to drive the moving truck for me but I would have to get him back to Tacoma Washington.

I would be taking a route that takes me thru Hemet California so that I can pick up some other personal belongings in storage there. (Another Long Story)

I really feel this is the best move for me, a fresh start in a new town where there are opportunities for me to find work and once again become a productive self supportive independent individual. Also it takes me away from bad memories of a relationship gone badly and the loss of a child.

Hello, I'm a 35yr old god fearing male married with 3 children. In 2008 my father passed suddenly due to cancer in several areas of his body. He owned and operated a small Roll-Off Waste Company, so what he did was rent out Waste Dumpsters for Residential/Commercial purposes for the disposal of waste and construction debri. At the time when he passed I was working for another waste company. We had planned for us to partner in the Roll-Off Company but due to his sudden passing we didn't get the chance to. In 2009 I lost my job with the waste company that I was working for. I Started carrying out the day to day operations of my father's business so that my mother and I could survive.

At the time of my father's passing he had some loans with his bank which he had taken out insurance policies that would cover the loans in case of death. One of the types of loans he had was a line of credit for $25,000 which the bank didn't offer any type of insurance for that note. My mother and I were left with this burden and since my father used his shop for collateral for the line of credit we're in jeopardy of losing it and the truck and some other equipment and assets that the bank claims is being used as cross-collateral in the case.

Our credit wouldn't allow us to assume the note and continue to pay on it,the bank did use some of the insureance proceeds from the other loans and apply to the line of credit around $5000.00 At the time of his passing the line of credit was delinquent. we were willing to continue to pay on the line of credit, but financially at the time money was tight. Eventually without us being able to assume the note,make payments,or get financing elsewhere to rectify the monies owed we were facing foreclosure on the property.

A judgement for foreclosure was entered last month,so I don't have whole lot of time before the property will go to auction. I desperately need to keep the property and equipment so i can make a living for my family. I'm a hard-working individual who's looking for a break and a blessing. The amount i need including all the fees,court cost etc. to retain my shop is around $35,000 The amount i need to pay off the bank for the shop and have adequate working capital so i can run my business and have opportunity for growth is $100,000

The monies would be used as following:

*A Spare Roll-Off Truck $15,000
*Additional Roll-Off Containers $15,000
*Working Capital/Operating Capital $35,000

This situation lead me to living on the streets of Cape Town for months, I was very discouraged by my situation of living under the bridge, but never lost the hope that one day I will be in school again.
In fact being far away from home, missing the family together with being homeless at the same time can be very stressful that the temptation of using substances to stay calm can be very high, however because I had a dream to be a educated man one day, I resisted all this and kept on believing in myself that one day I shall overcome all of these obstacles and enroll into school again. The best platform to reconstruct my life towards achieving my childhood dream of becoming an electrical engineer, these experiences have however made me have interest in human rights law, so I will be studying that after high school.

Thanks to well wisher sponsors today I have a place to call home and I’m attending school. Those are big steps towards achieving my goals in life. I recently applied to attend grade 11at Premiere collage and got accepted; Premiere collage is rated among the best private collages schools in Western Cape. The academic pass rate isn’t bad.

The fee’s are [R 15,000] plus the once off registration fee of R1500 I do not have the money however I’m looking for small sponsorships towards my fees

There are various reasons why I want to be student at this school. Firstly, like I mentioned before it’s a great school to get the best education that prepares someone for the world outside there.

In 2009 formed a soccer team of unaccompanied refugee children from all over Africa living here in Cape Town; the purpose of the formation of this team is for educational purposes. The idea is for us refugee children not to isolate ourselves from South Africans; instead we want to be part of the solution to issues like xenophobia, racism, and any sort of discrimination. See www.refugee6foundation.org. Most importantly this refugee team serves to persuade other refugee children to consider education as the only alternative way to success. We also discuss about issues like HIV/AIDS. At this stage the idea had worked very well: Few boys have abandoned their labour jobs in vine yards farms and they are looking forward to starting attending school this year as well.


For me attending Premier Collage I believe will encourage them to believe that nothing is impossible in life and this step will also enable me to persuade as many other refugee children as I can to quit their labour jobs and go back to school. This will help them to be confident and have the realization that everything is possible in life.

Lastly I’m in the middle of writing my book to be about my life experiences, I therefore think that attending this school because of its great diverse culture will help me write a successful book that might change lives of many youth on the way they view the world. I really like the new set-up of this place. Much easier to find people in need. A lot less glitchy too.

Anyway As for the general poor-me request: I am a twenty-three year old female with no real life experience that just really really wants to find some sort of direction.

I have been unemployed for roughly a year and a half. The first few months of this were incredibly hard as my boyfriend at the time had been out of work for about a year. As the months piled on though, I found that the motivation to work any sort of job had abandoned me. i had no reason to. Everything I (and he) needed was taken care of by mainly his family. I received about fifty dollars a month from helping out my grandmother. I eventually left my husband (for all intents and purposes) because I couldn't handle the stress of trying to balance the demands of my family with the day-to-day life with him (all while living with his family). I moved to my parents/grandmothers place (again) and lived out of a camp trailer in the backyard. After a couple of months I went kind of crazy and thought that a change of scenery would at very least motivate me into doing something for myself. I went to live with my sister and started to rebuild myself. Two months into that i was called back to my parents place to help them out again. Two days into that my grandmother died.

Anyhow, I have been living in my grandmother's old house for the past two months now. I don't need anything. My parents provide it all for me. (I really wish they would kick me out.)

I am a very hardworking and independent mother of 2 beautiful children. I always usually find a way to juggle lifes expenses but sometimes we have to just lay down our pride and ask for help. If you had told me two years ago that by April 2010 I'd be reduced to asking strangers for financial help, I would have said you were crazy! But, at any rate, here it goes...
My story begins on 1/08, but first let me give you a little background.
I was married in 1997 and had my only child in 1998. I didn't really need to work but when my son was 2 years old I got a part time job mostly for my own sanity.
In 2003 we divorced but I was able to get a great job through a friend. Things were looking up for my son and I as I was able to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. If you are wondering about childsupport, yeah, I am suppose to recieve 200 per month but I actually only recieve it about every 6 months after the county attorney threatens jail time.
As I worked I went to school part time to earn an associates degree in accounting and in 2006 I was promoted from my administrative assistant position to purchasing coordinator. In 2007 I went BACK to school to work on my BA. I had dreams of being the Controller for the company I worked for but on 1/10/08 those dreams were shattered. It was at 5pm on Thursday, I was wrapping up to go home when my manager asked to see me in her office. I had no idea that anything was wrong but with tears in her eyes she told me that she had to let me go. I didn't think I heard her right so I asked her to repeat what she said... I heard her right. She explained that they had to consolidate the department and I was the last one in the position. She said she had desperately talked with other managers to find another position for me even if it was back at entry level but she had had no luck.
I think that after I left that day and until Monday I was just in complete SHOCK!
I knew I was about to recieve my last pay check so for insurance purposes I sign up for unemployment benefits first thing Monday morning. I thought I would just sign up incase I wasn't able to find a job right away. Little did I know how true that would be.
I didnt get my first check until the end of April and by that time all of what little I had saved was gone and I was getting behind on my bills. I pawned everything that the pawn shop would take.
By 2009, I was at the end of my rope. I hadn't had a single interview in months and although I was getting EXTENDED unemployment benefits through the Federal Government there would be 4-5 weeks inbetween the extensions that I was without a dime.
In July of the same year, with no sign of relief in sight I sold everything I could and we moved back in with my parents.
The problem with this is that my dad is a violent alcoholic. Since we moved in my son has watched as my dad has hit me with anything he has at arms reach and sometimes even with his fists. He has had to listen as my dad calls me worthless, loser, low life, scum, and anything else you can imagine. My dad isn't AS mean to my son because he knows I'd kill him if he ever laid a finger on him.But it hurts my son to watch me get upset when I'm hit.
The ending of the story is near, I promise...
I recieved my last extended benefits check the first week of April. I signed up to have help with housing because I cant put my son through this anymore. We'll live under a bridge before I let him see my dad hit me one more time.
I'll continue to look for more work but in the mean time May is right around the corner which means my car payment is due again my insurance is due again, and countless other bills but my main priority is to get out of this house.
I hate having to ask but is anyone out there can help me financially? When I moved in with my parents I sold most everything so now I don't even have a couch or bed for another place.
