Post a Beg Now!

Our Home is slipping away... Please HELP now!

Posted by buyahome on 2012-05-17 13:58:58

Just $10-$20 from YOU, could help us make a dream come true, and possibly others on Begslist.com as well!!
As the housing bubble collapsed, my family and I could see the coming recession and its fall out coming. While my wife has a steady and secure job, and I ran a successful public relation business, we could not chance getting caught in the down pour of bad lending and foreclosure we saw coming. That was our last smart move.
As the recession, I might argue depression spread across the country and our town equally, like so many others, we found ourselves affected in ways we didn't see coming. My business began to fail, losing client after client to hard economic times, until those few clients who were left were asking for reduced costs, some even asking to keep services coming though they can not pay at this point. I have tried to oblige. I continue to serve many clients in trying to promote their products and services "pro-bono" so they can eek out a living in these times.
My wife has been great through all this. She works a steady "day job" to barely meet our monthly rent and bills.
We have tapped every credit card, and can't pay their monthly bills and fees. We have ruined our credit, believing if we could hold back the storm, and continue to help those we serve, we would be alright on the other end.
NOW, as home prices are finally in reach, we find that we can no longer qualify for the loan that would get us, and our five sons into a new home. With home costs once nearing and surpassing $200K, we can now buy the perfect home for $50K. That's what we're asking for now: $50K!! Banks, once far too anxious to give loans for over-priced homes to people who could not afford them, now turn us away for a much more reasonable loan that would actually lower our monthly expenses by almost 1/2. We now watch as wealthy investors snatch up the homes once financed by real families and foreclosed on. But in the time it takes to rebuild the credit we need to get financed, these moguls will have all of the properties and be renting them out to all of us who could not hope to own under these terms.
So we turn to YOU! A generous stranger, who can help make our dream come true. YOU can donate a small portion of this expense, and help us to make this dream come true. We are setting a goal of $50K, and hoping to beat the tide of greedy investors from owning what could be our new home. As we get closer to our goal we will use some of the thoughtful contributions we receive to repair the credit we have forfieted, so we might get the funding we need on our own through a bank. IF this happens, and we exceed donations needed, then we will donate the remaining funds to others on Begslist.com, including to the Begslist.com creator to continue to help neighbors help neighbors ... because we all need help sometimes!

Need An iMac To Start My Career

Posted by amieb05 on 2012-03-15 15:58:34

This is highly embarassing for me to "cyber beg." Begging seems like such an awful word, but here I am asking for donations of anything! I don't care if it's 0.25 cents or $1. Anything helps.

I'm a struggling graphic designer in need of a new desktop Machintosh. I'm aiming to raise $1300 to buy a new iMac computer so that I can start designing to complete my portfolio and start applying for work. My last computer failed on me during finals in school. Thanks to my school's computer lab, I was able to finish my work and graduate. That was back in NYC. I couldn't afford living there on my own and had to come to a smaller town to live with parents. I worked minimum wage retail to gain some money, but the physical stress forced me to stop working due to muscle weakness problem I have. A medical affliction caused by a tumor that has been affecting my energy and skeletal/muscle strength for about 7 years. It was hard getting through school with my condition. It was twice as hard having to work on my feet for hours in a retail environment.

Double my misfortune, I live in a place where jobs are hard to come by. A small town which has a lot of developing to do and jobs are far between. I need a car to travel to the nearest grocery store and can't depend on parents to transport me everywhere. This is why a job is so imperative. I'd like to feel fulfilled knowing I'm doing something for my future and earning money to buy my needs. I wish I had the equipment to start looking for work.

I want an iMac more than anything in the world. If I had my iMac, I could update my portfolio, do some online freelance work and help my parents with some bills. I could start applying for jobs from home and not have to rely on my neighbor's iPad to browse the internet. Whenever my family goes to the mall in the weekends, I pass by our local Apple store and I see people walking out of the store with large boxes containing their brand new iMac's, Macbook Pro's or expensive iPad's...and I get angry.

Yes, I know it sounds terrible and I know not everyone buying a computer is a rich business mogul or an overpampered kid whose parents can buy them whatever they want, and they never have to worry about whether they could afford it or not. But it hurts me to know I'm in such a position, that although I am an adult who should be paying her parent's bills, I can't even help myself because I'm unemployed. No thanks to my stupid weak body that can't take a lot of physical strain, no thanks to ending up in a town where I can't get anywhere without having to walk at least two miles, no thanks to not having my computer...

My name is not Amelia. That is just a screen name because I am too embarassed to reveal my real name. I'd be so grateful to anyone that can help me reach my $1300 goal. I know Mac's are expensive, but they are the industry standard in what I do. I would like a desktop because they are durable and longer lasting. They can also take a lot processing power for the heavy graphic work I do. If you can find it in your time to spare any change .25 cents, $1, $5, I'll be grateful 'till eternity.

Anyone who donates, be kind to leave an email so that I can send you something in return for your favor.

Thank you and God bless,

amateur photographer at start of career

Posted by Photography on 2011-12-28 15:58:29

Hi,
i would like to start-up my photographer career.
I had several inquiries from potencial clients, saying photos are aesthetic but miss the technological qualities.
I would like to ask you for donations so i can afford pro-lens worth 900USD. Every little piece helps.

I am working and not really in helpless situation but i am also supporting my girlfriend - University student, it just leaves us some money to live, nothing to save.

For bad experience with loans and high interest rates in my country, i just dont want to loan again, but i am more than opened to repaying you your donations once my bussines starts.

Thank you in advance

My husband need extreme dental work

Posted by lyonte2000 on 2011-11-01 22:58:48

My husband teeth are rotting out of his head, and by no fault of his own. The problem is we make just enough to live but not enough to qualify of any programs in our area. I am now looking for any doctor that is willing to work on him pro bono in our area. Which is looking like it will also be a dead end. I am afraid that he might actually die from the fact that he constantly has abscess in his mouth. He needs all of his teeth removed and dentures. Everyone in his family have had to do the same around the age of 20 and he is 24, and it is killing me to see him in this much pain on a daily basis. If anyone knows of a dentist that might be willing to even talk to us about some pro bono work please let us know. And if anyone is able to donate something to help please do. I completely out of my mind in worry, not only becuase of my husbands mouth but because our hours at work are being slowly cut and we might not be able to even cover our regular bills if it keeps up.

My son needs a DSLR Camera

Posted by eariasg on 2011-09-04 02:58:21

Hi,

Please help me to buy my son JP a DSLR Camera, he wants to be a Pro and needs to shoot basketball and soccer games for his High School newspaper.

I promised to buy him the camera but I am really broke and I do not have a penny. I can't tell him, I don't know what to do. I really don't want to dissapoint him. :(

A friend gave me a Nikon basic kit lens, so I plan to buy my son a Nikon camera.

Please help me, JP will be very happy with a good camera, perhaps someday he will be a famous photographer.

Thanks!!

I'm a single parent dealing with a so far 3 year custody battle for my daughter. It's now getting to a point where I can't pay for my attorney. Who was only on limited scope to begin with. Pro-Bono attorney's for family law aren't easy to come by. I've been to court this year alone 9 times due to my ex husband's relentless course on revenge. Please please help me fight for the right for my child.

I have a service dog and the social security office threw me out of the building for having him with me for my seizures. My son and I our about to lose out electricity. We have not been approved for leap for food stamps yet.... The local churches say until we get answers from those places they won't help us either.... Anything helps... i don't want to say what my balance is with the electric company or my rent because that is asking too much in these times... I just ask, for anything you can spare... And if anyone knows a pro bono lawyer I need a restraining order against my ex to keep him away from my son any myself... He got locked up for assult on an officer in 06 because he came after me and someone called 911 on him and he hit the cop (no they didn't get him for hitting me just the cop) but now he's out....

In college and in need of laptop

I'm a full time college student pursuing degree in art with an emphasis in graphic design. I'm trying to save up for a MacBook pro because my previous laptop broke due to hardware failure. It's hard not being able to do freelance art without my own computer. Thank you for looking and thank you very much for donating!!!!

Double request.

Posted by longroad on 2011-03-27 04:58:57

To Whom This May Concern,

I am a 51 year old man who has never asked for help from anyone before. I am only doing this because I love my family and as a last resort. My family has no idea I have posted this at this time.

My Situation:

I am married to a wonderful woman who has two children. (My step children). She does receive $117.00 a week in support. That is her only income as she is not working due to spinal injuries. She has already had a spine fusion and will have another operation soon as she still has spinal issues not dealt with yet.

My health is not optimal. I was diagnosed with Diabetes in 1989. I had a heart attack in 2000 and had a stent put into my left circumflex artery. In 2005 I had triple bypass heart surgery, Coronary Artery Disease and Diabetes run in my family. I do not have health insurance right now and so I have not been able to see a doctor for my conditions in a couple of years now. I should be on two types of insulin, long-acting and short-acting. I should also be on medications for my heart, blood pressure and cholesterol. I can not afford these so I haven't even bothered to try and get scripts for them. I fear that this is beginning to catch up with me.

As I said my wife is not working right now. I am currently driving a cab and I am also trying to find a new job, but do to my health I have been working less and less. Also the economy & fuel prices have basically taken a big bite out of the cab industry. Very long hours for very little pay.

I also have two children of my own ages 21 and 20. I am very active in their lives and always have been. I still pay child support to their mother as I went into arrears due to the heart attack in 2000 and the triple bypass in 2005. I currently have a payment arrangement with the courts to pay this off over a period of time.

Here is my request. The bottom line is I do not make enough money to support my family(s) anymore. I am hoping that through this post two things could happen.

1. I am hoping that through this post enough people will see it in their hearts to help my family and I out through some donations.
