Post a Beg Now!

The contents and purpose of this letter have caused any pride I might have had to disappear and the level of embarrassment and shame that I am feeling, even as I write this small introduction to grow beyond compare with something I NEVER want to feel again in my life.

I will make an honest attempt at keeping it quick and to the point, since you know how I can get to rambling on forever about nothing. I am going to start with the immediate and EXTREMELY URGENT situation at hand with prior situations that have created a situation that I cannot handle alone.

3 or so weeks ago….
I was pulled over for my front license plate and registration being expired (had only recent got the vehicle back) I was personally searched 3 times... my car was loaded to capacity, and I said I would rather them not search it, due to it contents and the time and energy spent loading it. He said he would call k-9. I had no problem with this. The dogs were 2 hrs away and apparently this cop was set on this, so he tells me, “im going to search your car” so the car was searched extensively and illegally by 3 officers while I was told I had to sit in the officers back seat, locked, of course.... as expected, there was nothing found anywhere in my car by 3 police over the course of a few hours.... Keep in mind, i was searched three times before being placed in his car.... wearing a bathing suit..

They let me go, and told me I could load my car back up.... then, for some reason....the initial officer removed the lower portion of his back seat???. Found something (controlled substance, less than a gram, schedule 1) that i have yet to be informed as to what it was…. Screamed to put my hands behind my back, confusing, arresting and humiliating me.

Have spent money that I could not spare to get out of jail, get my car back and wasted close to a week of my life.

One level 3 tampering with evidence… (Claiming that I put the controlled substance in the back seat)
$10,000 and 2-10
The other, possession of a controlled substance, less that a gram level 1….. is a state felony and brings similar time and money

There is a camera in the back of this officer’s car as well as one on the small building at which the incident happened…
Its all on video, and the lawyers i have talked to have assured me that this is an easy one, “wont be a problem” and it’s a “no brainer”.

But given the circumstances leading up to and surrounding these ridiculous legal charges I cannot obtain the services of these lawyers since I am unable to afford what they are asking. Was told if I could bond myself out, then I couldn’t have a public defender, and even if that isn’t true, I wouldn’t want one simply due to the fact that I am not prepared to settle or accept a plea bargain for something that is going to ruin me.

Court is TOMORROW, the 10TH

Like I said… this is the most embarrassing and shameful thing I have had to face.

Please help my family and i. This is injust, I am scared, don’t know what to do and I cannot take it.

They are asking for 8k, and 1/2 down...

Thursday, may 10... TOMORROW, i will go from a normal, once succesful person who fell on hard times to an animal in a prison cell.

Please please please. I will do whatever it takes to pay you back. Interest, labor, ANYTHING.. i will just need a bit of time to get through this situation and i will focus on repaying

Please email asap.

Thanks.

Because I believe in the power of prayer & the kindness of my fellow man, I've decided to swallow my pride & ask for help. This is not an action I am at all familiar with but am grasping at every straw to attempt to keep a roof over my family's head. We live in a modest house that we've called home for the past 20+ years.

I am a single mother who's been truly blessed with 4, beautiful, healthy children; 3 biological & a foster son that joined our family when he was 12…..he is now 23. My kids are the reason I continue to battle through what has been the most challenging, darkest phase of my 50 years on this Earth.

In the summer of 2011, life, as my family knew it, was forever changed. My son got off the school bus & proceeded to enter a crime scene upon opening the front door of the house we call home. It was immediately clear that we were victims of a daytime home invasion and robbery. A trail of splinters led straight to my bedroom door, which had been demolished in the process of gaining entrance & access to my personal belongings. Robbers took my box of trash bags & proceeded to fill them with anything that could be sold or traded. I came home to find that they had stolen everything of value that I had worked for in my 50 years of existence & everything of value that my kids cherished as well.

It didn't happen often, but on the occasion that I had a few extra dollars to spend on myself, I found pleasure in buying nice jewelry. Through the years, I had managed to accumulate a nice collection. Also, as a child, my father & I shared an interest in coin collecting. I had managed to hold on to several interesting coins my dad & I found. Weekly, he also, gave me & my brothers our allowance of a fifty cent piece each. I had somehow managed to hold on to many of these as well. I stored my coin collection in the bottom portion of my large armoire. This area is what my family referred to as "the safe." Anything of value, particularly sentimental, was given to me to be protected in the safe. A couple good examples are my, then, 10 year old son's game ball for hitting the Championship game winning grand slam home run & my daughter's horse riding medals, show jewelry & accessories, as well as a silver handled knife & sheath…….the only personal possession my foster son owned from his childhood. I carry a tremendous amount of guilt for not doing a better job of safe guarding my family's precious & dear possessions.

In addition to the lingering guilt, the robbery also resulted in life altering psychological effects to me & my family. I continue to wonder if & when I will ever fully recover & be the secure, self confident person I was before the robbery. Immediately following the break-in, I was consumed by finding out who was responsible & ways of obtaining this information…..I could think of nothing else. After several weeks of frantic guessing & running wild goose chases, I started to realize that regaining possession of my property was less likely as each day went by. I could feel myself falling into a dark, lonely place with deep despair…..& unfortunately, I was content to be there. For the next several months, I could not work, did not eat or sleep & rarely came out of my bedroom. There was a film in my head that ran & reran the events leading up to & immediately following the robbery…..filled with the "I should've"s, "I could've"s and "what ifs." I am plagued with distrust & no longer find interest in much of anything. I was robbed of far more than just pieces of property…..they stole my trust in mankind, my desire to thrive, my faith in the world & my sanity.

I have worked as a medical school curriculum manager for 21 years. As a result of my mental decline, I was unable to work for over three months which, consequentially, made it difficult to pay all of the bills. I managed to rob Peter to pay Paul for several months & kept up with everything except for my house payment. It is now in arrears nearly $5,000.00 & I am out of resources. For the first time in my life, I am facing foreclosure. It is embarrassing & humiliating & I don't know how to tell my kids that they are likely to have no place to call home in the very near future. I feel like such a failure! Even though I've been an exemplary employee for many years, as a consequence of the self doubting & tremendous stress, I am now faced with the strong potential of losing my job due to my inability to focus & my lack of desire to face each day, As if this wasn't enough for one person to handle, I am also witnessing the daily decline of my father & my hero due to end stage Parkinson's & Alzheimer's.

I'm not sure how this begging website works but if there is someone out there that is willing to make me a loan & work out a payment arrangement, I promise not to let you down.....you will be repaid! I am working hard to battle the persisting PTSD symptoms that continue to plague me. I just worry that facing homelessness may be more than I can handle. Lord, I hand it over to You coz I come to You a broken, wounded angel. I thank you for any consideration and appreciate all prayers. May God bless you many times & in many ways for your generosity & kindness!

Powerful Money Spells/5.00

Hi. My wiccan name is Celestial Dream. My website is http://danublessings.blogspot.com/

I am very good at what I do. I practice Powerful Magic.

I practicing solitary wicca five years ago.

I am also a psychic dreamer. Psychic and spiritual gifts ablilties have run in my family for years.

Today, the practitioners of the Wiccan faith carry on the rituals of Pagan Irish history and mythology. Nature worship and the divinity of the Goddess (as opposed to a patriarchal male God) are the fundamentals of Wicca, which focuses on incantations and rituals to honor the Goddess, the great outdoors, and the spirit world.

I've learned how to cast powerful spells of love, money, and much more.

I've helped family and friends for years when they've need a spiritual understanding and resolution to life's problems. I've given gifts of everyday jewelry that I've charged with a spell and they've had very good results.

Casting a spell is ceremonial.

Mystical objects and positives energies can be charged to an object. Charming items is to place a spell on them that carries out a particular purpose when in someone's possession. I've helped many people and they've been happy with the results.
After you purchase one of my spells send me your name and anything you would like me to know about your situation.
Please leave feedback after I start your spell. If it doesn't take at first I will gladly recast for you. Blessed Be!

Email from a happy customer.
Dear danublessings,Hello,I hope you are well, I wanted to update you that I just won $50 on a scratch off ticket. I hope the money continues to come. And thank you so much for everything, checking on the status and more importantly for the recast. I will continue to update.- barthmmm

Single Mom in Dire Ne ed of Assistance with a Legal Case

Recently, I was arrested on hearsay for a DV charge. The charge was dropped because it was untrue & unjust. I was the one assaulted; the judge concurred. Unfortunately, the altercation occurred at 3am on a Friday morning, on MLK weekend, and so what should've been a 12-hour stay, turned into 5 days. In the interim, my 4-year old daughter was kidnapped by CPS, simply because we have no family there--not for any other reason.
Upon my release, I discover that my daughter's already been handed to a foster home & that a hearing had been set for that morning; no one had even bothered to TRY to contact me about it. In my haste, I rushed to the courthouse next door, oblivious of a marijuana pipe I had in my possession (it may sound cliche, but it wasn't mine; I don't even smoke). I didn't get arrested for having it, but this is where the real problem began.
To make a long story short, I pled guilty ONLY to hurry & get my daughter out of a stranger's house & agreed to have her placed with her VERY part-time father who'd only seen her on average 10 days a year since birth (his choice).
Since then, he's attempted to cut me off from her--denying calls & visits. I obtained an attorney, so thus far I've been allotted ONE day per week for 4 hours to see the child I've raised alone since birth!
Additionally, I've worked for her father for 5 years--he's snatched that from me as well. He went on to choose a facility that costs $180 per visit! So, I have no income now, no employment & I have to drive 7 hours to get there. Friends and family have run out of resources to assist me. I still owe the attorney over $1,000 & until visitation is adjusted I'll have to keep paying this ridiculous amount.
I am not your typical stereotype of this sort of matter. I'm college-educated. So are my parents. I grew up middle-class. This is so unfair to me & my child. I've seen her cry before over an injury or hurt feelings, but never before over a broken heart. I MUST make these visits. If you can and are interested in helping, please click the link below:

Must save my home and family!

I am going through a really rough patch right now. I am afraid I will lose my home if I do not find work ASAP. I have been searching and still keep coming up with nothing. I learn quickly, however, and will do ANYTHING.

If I lose my home, I lose everything, including my 2 cats. It would be devastating to me if i lost them.

I have appled for unemployment. Unfortunately, I was out of work for quite some time since I was only going to school and before that I was living at home as a stay-at-home dad/brother/son. So basically, I do not qualify since I haven’t accumulated the ammount of hours I need. Also, in my past, I was into drugs and have a felony drug possession which bars me from so many opportunities. It was almost 6 years ago and I’ve changed a lot since then but it still haunts me. I’m starting to feel like I want to give up on life altogether. I started going back to church and cleaned my life up since then…

A few months ago, I got a job at 7-Eleven and was using that to survive on. About a month into my job, my boss called me and told me I can’t work there anymore because of my background check. Basicly got fired for the crimes I mentioned above. This crushed me. Then I found work at a restaurant and lasted there for another month. I lost that job as well because of a false accusation I had nothing to do with. I tried to speak on my defense but my boss wouldn’t hear it. This crushed me too. So, out of desperation, I looked for work again and fell into Kirby… If anyone knows what this is, they can understand I was completely scammed. They made promises of $1850/month salary. I needed to make a quota of sales to earn that. Well…. they made it impossible for me to achieve that goal by the way the company is ran. I was working 80+ hours a week. In that time, I got very sick, broke my glassses, couldn’t make it to church or my community group and everything was going down hill fast. I sold 3 Kirbys in that time and my boss says I will make a measly $75 commission total off those. I am physically, emotionally and spiritually drained because of this…

My rent was due on the 5th and I don’t have a penny to show for it. I am on bad terms with my landlord now and have no idea what to do. I’m struggling so much and feel like I’m only spinning my wheels getting nowhere. What can I do?! If I lose my home, I lose EVERYTHING, including my 2 cats which I love more than anything... I worked so hard for Kirby and got nothing but a few bucks coming to me. All my time was wasted.

What can I do? I need a “3 day pay or vacate” notice to receive any kind of rent assistance from an agency. All I want to do is to work and make money like everyone else but everything I do fails… I can’t get work that requires a background check and have no transportation or money for a bus. My home has no food either and I’m about to lose my mind.

I don’t know what else to do but BEG on this website and pray someone is generous enough to help. I know after working 80+ hours a week in Kirby in the worst conditions that I have the drive and strength to work hard. All I need is some time to find work again.

Thanks so much for reading my story and thank you even more for donating. I hope this is the door God has opened for me to make that miracle.

Must save my home and family!

Trying to keep home for family and pets!

I am a 49 year old struggling grandmother of 3 sweet, beautiful boys, ages 5, 7 and 8. I am desperately trying to save and protect my grandsons and ensure their futures. I would not ask help if it were only for me. I am asking for help for them, so that my 3 innocent little grandsons will be safe, secure and have a chance in life. As things stand right now, we will be homeless within the next 2 weeks.
My greatest fear is that when (not if) I do become homeless, which isn’t that far off, the state will take my grandsons because we have no place to live, split them up and put them in foster homes. That thought scares the hell out of me. I am all those sweet little boys have. And if they lose each other too, after losing everyone and everything else that they known and loved, I fear their lives will be ruined at the tender ages of 5, 7 and 8.
I suffer from COPD and fibromyalgia and each day I struggle with physical pain. We live near the New Orleans Metro Area in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. We were displaced for a year after Hurricane Katrina, came back, bought a mobile home in Lafitte, Louisiana and tried to rebuild our lives. In 2008, when Hurricanes Gustav and Ike hit us back to back, our home was flooded with more than 4 feet of water; unreachable, except by boat for over 2 weeks.
At that time, my mother, age 75, had been experiencing the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s as well as a series of strokes which affected the memory and impulse control centers of her brain due to a vascular disease which severely decreased the flow of blood to those areas of her brain. During these TIA’s and small strokes/seizures, she behaved erratically and during larger ones she could become paranoid and psychotic. She had to be hospitalized for several of the more severe episodes, as she was becoming a danger to herself and others. The effects of these “episodes” lingered for days, sometimes weeks. Afterwards, she had no memory of anything that happened during that time period.
After the storms, we moved in with my mother to help her and because we did, FEMA stopped helping us. And since we could not afford to rebuild again without FEMA’s help, we lost our home. The recent BP oil spill was just another deep blow to our already struggling local economy.
She required 24/7/365 assistance and supervision, which she could not afford. She was eventually diagnosed with vascular disease of the brain and Alzheimer’s. Due to the region of her brain that was affected her disease went unnoticed for several years, until she had a large enough stroke to prompt her to seek medical attention. This diagnosis explained her erratic behavior of the past several years, I have since been homebound, unable to leave mom untended for any length of time and unable to work outside the home due to my mother’s need for the past 3 years.
My mother passed away this past April at the age of 79. She had suffered from Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, suffering several major and minor strokes and seizures over the past 6+ years. On April 9th she suffered a massive stroke, lingering for 9 days before passing on the 18th. God rest her soul, I miss her. I loved my mom very much and did everything I could to help her.
To add to the difficulties already faced by our loss, my youngest daughter, who had been living in Ohio with what turned out to be a conman/ junkie twice her age that saw a vulnerable young woman with 3 children and took advantage of that fact, had been physically, verbally and emotionally abusive to all of them for the past 1 ½ years. 2 weeks before Mom passed, she got in major legal trouble in Ohio and sent my 3 young grandsons to me to raise.
Now, things have turned for the worst... On August 17th we discovered that my eldest daughter took my mother to an attorney and had her write a will leaving everything my mother had to her and excluding me! This abominable act was done 1 month after Hurricane Katrina when ALL of us were distraught and displaced from the storm! My mom was not in her right mind at that time, even though a full diagnosis had not yet been made on her true condition.... Also, in Louisiana, the bar for mental competency is set so low that so long as you are not actively drooling and babbling in front of the judge/attorney/witnesses you are considered competent!! It doesn’t matter if you won’t remember doing it five minutes later either.
Now, my greedy, self-serving, ungrateful eldest child has decided that she will evict us so she can try to sell my mother's home, in which I and my grandsons, her nephews still live, so she can pay off mom's debt, which she exaggerates, and her student loans. She is fully aware of our circumstances… she just doesn’t care. The only transportation I have for my grandsons is the truck my mom gave me before her death, but did not have the money to transfer title on. It is now part of mom’s estate and she wants that too.
I called the Clerk in division where probate/ succession on my mom were filed... Clerk said that I need an attorney to file contest to the will… herein lies the problem... there is not 1 single legal aid agency in the ENTIRE New Orleans Metro area that can handle a contested will!! There are also no private attorneys that will handle it either, unless there's big money in it for them, which in this case there is not.
Clerk also said she has no idea why I was never notified… Judge signed off regardless. There seems to be no justice for the poor in this country... since we can't afford to pay the exorbitant fees of a private attorney, which seems to be a necessity to get anything done in the courts.
I received a 10 day "Notice to Vacate" posted on the door August 24, 2011. My daughter wants immediate possession of the property she manipulated/unduly influenced my mentally ill mother into willing to her barely 1 month after Hurricane Katrina. I don't know where we will go. I will have enough money on September 3rd to pay either 1 month's rent or the deposit, but can't raise both in time I have left. I also have the added expenses of my regular utility bills and new expenses for the transfer of utility services and/or deposits, and transportation. So I need to raise about $2000.00 within the coming 2 week period.
I have tried appealing to my daughter’s sense of decency, but she doesn’t seem to have one. Her actions are despicable and deplorable. I am ashamed to be her mother. It breaks my heart and sickens me to know that I brought such a hateful, selfish, greedy, heartless person into this world. I did not raise her to be that way.
I've called every single legal aid agency in my area; including the Bar Assoc. Lawyer referral service... no one will help because there just isn't any money in it for them... sad state this country is in when the poor cannot get justice anywhere.
I've also called churches and other charitable organizations for help... there are so many families in need in the New Orleans metro area that any help is minimal. ALL homeless shelters are full up with waiting lists so long they are no longer taking applications for assistance.
I have applied for Section 8 housing, but there is a HUGE waiting list. The HUD Section 8 waiting list in Louisiana is backlogged 5+ years and has more than 20,000 applicants still waiting for vouchers, many of whom are currently homeless. They are not accepting any new applicants.
I have contacted EVERY charitable and public/community service agency that I can think of for help... none has been forthcoming as of yet..... Is there ANYONE out there with a heart who can and will help us? I have nowhere else to turn.
I’ve spent days seeking legal help... bottom line... none available... so since if my defense is denied and I can't fight the eviction then we are out on the streets with nowhere to go.
My nerves are shot; the house hunt is not going well.
I am hurt by my daughter’s actions and so sickened over all of this mess that I can barely think straight. I cry myself to sleep every night and awake with tears in my eyes and a rock in the pit of my stomach. Yet I dry them and try to be strong and act as if everything is normal for my grandsons who need me now more than ever. I still haven’t had time to grieve my mother’s death.
We are now faced with trying to find alternate housing that we can afford on the $840.00 a month income that I receive in Kinship Care for my grandsons. Fat chance in this over-priced rental market. Even a 1 bedroom apartment in “Crack Alley” goes for more than my income in this post-Katrina/Gustav/Ike market.
And it's starting to look like me and my grandsons will be homeless very soon... by the end of the 1st week in September.
Their mother is in prison and their deadbeat, psycho father hasn't been seen in almost 2 years, ever since he beat the hell out of his girlfriend, killed their little dog in front of my boys, stole and trashed her car and ended up in a mental hospital wanting to kill himself... my babies have had enough grief and loss in their lives... they need love, help and compassion.... and a decent place to live... soon!
We’re trying to stay in this area because my boyfriend of 11 years, and my only help, has an elderly, widowed mother who needs his help too. And we are all she has. She cannot take us in because her trailer is very small and there is no room for 5 more people in it.
Work is also scarce and hard to find in the New Orleans metro area due to the huge influx of big out of state companies with their out of state workers getting all of the bigger jobs and contracts and the even larger influx of foreign laborers so severely underbidding the smaller construction jobs, cutting local workers and sub-contractors, like my boyfriend, right out of the job market. Every day he goes out hunting for work taking any job offered.
I have prayed on this so hard and so often since this mess all began. I have put my burden in Jesus' Hands. For He is the only one that can save us. I can only hope that he sends us an Angel to deliver us soon, for without help from someone, somewhere here on earth we are lost. I feel so lost and utterly alone... this truly is my darkest hour.
If there is ANYONE out there who can offer assistance, legal, residential, financial, whatever help you can give... please contact me ASAP. I have exhausted all available resources.
I need at least 2 bedrooms in a safe neighborhood... my total income is $840.00 per month... Right now, I can barely afford toilet paper to wipe our butts with.
We are thankful and grateful for the help we have received from our local churches and the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, as well as some assistance on our utility bill from our local community action organization. That meager help has helped us survive thus far, but our resources are nearly spent. Please have mercy on us and donate whatever you can to help me save my family… every little bit helps.
Thank you for listening to my problems and for your consideration of my plight.
May God Bless you tenfold for any help you send us.
Proverbs 3: 3-7
Let not mercy and truth forsakes you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Christian Single Mother Looking for a Life-Line

Posted by clairmanno on 2011-08-17 14:58:11

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my plea.

My name is Faith and I am a Christian mother of two school aged children.

I am filled with gratitude and thanks to God for all the blessings he has given me. The greatest gifts that I have been given are my two children.

I have never reached out to anyone for help, but today I feel compelled to reach out. I have been unable to sleep or eat for months, my hair is falling out from stress and my body is covered in hives.

I know that my hands are tied, I cannot solve my financial problems on my own. I have tried, I work full time, I have been doing additional work, cleaning homes, doing paid research studies, etc. I know that God has the power to put the right people and the right circumstances in our lives to solve any problems, even if they seem impossible.

I am literally drowning in debt. It feels like I am in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and I keep going down deeper and deeper.

My son was born with Congenital Heart Disease and required Open Heart Surgery. Due to complications and financial shortcomings as a result of my son's surgery, my children and I were forced to leave our home. I found another home for us to live in. Less than a year after moving into our new home, both of my kids became very ill. My son was once again hospitalized. This time he was bleeding internally. We found out that the home we were living in was full of Stracybotrus Mold, the home was deemed uninhabitable. I was told by multiple doctors and by environmental companies that we must leave our home. I was told that I must throw away anything that I had that could not be dipped in bleach to get rid of the mold spores. I rented a large dumpster, the kind that has the stairs on the side to climb up. I literally threw away almost everything that my kids and I have ever owned. I was forced to throw away all of our mattresses, couches, pillows, stuffed animals, stuffed animals, dolls, toys, toaster, curtains, etc. Just imagine everything that you have in your home, if I can't be dipped in bleach, it had to be thrown away.

The health of my children was more important to me that any material possession, so I was OK with throwing it all away.

We are now in another home and I am struggling to replace everything that I had to throw away. I have started with beds for the kids and toys to replace what we had to throw away.

We lost everthing. We lost the money that we put down on the mold house, we lost all the money I put into the mold house trying to make it a home, we lost all of our possessions. But, we have not lost our faith or our gratitude.

I am currently about $20,000 in debt, past due on mortgage, utilities, and credit card bills.

If you can find it in your heart to donate any amount, my family would be so grateful. I really do not care about myself, I buy all my clothes at second hand stores or garage sales, I cut my own hair and eat only things that are really inexpensive like Top Ramen. What I do care about though is my kids. They have suffered enough in their short lives and I want them to feel safe, warm and secure. I have protected them from the financial storm as much as possible, but I know that they see my crying and worrying about the bills, so this is why I am asking for help.

Thank you again for reading my plea.

Substance Abuse Counselor needs help.

Posted by counselorneedshelp on 2011-07-25 21:58:12

I hate doing this, but here goes. I am a recovering drug addict. I have not used any drugs since March 2003. I was a Registered Nurse in California and lost my license due to my addiction. I was arrested in March of 2003 for possession. I was required to go to out patient counseling for drug addiction by my county of residence. This counseling I believe saved my life. I looked for any job and after months of searching, I landed a job working with Buck Owens Enterprises delivering Camera Ads Magazine to local businesses around my area. Quite a change from being an Emergency Room R.N. As you can imagine my income dropped dramatically. After losing my license and thus my livelihood, I needed a new career. I decided to go to school. Aided by The California Department of Rehabilitation, I went to California State University, Bakersfield and earned a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies. Soon I started working in the California Prison System as a Substance Abuse Counselor. That was in 2008. I continue to work in this capacity.

A few years prior to my arrest I began working for myself as a contract R.N. And, because I was very heavy into my addiction, I was not taking care of my business responsibilities and not paying my taxes as I should. Now the State of California has attached my wages for back taxes of $4900.00 and the IRS is wanting back taxes of about $21,000.00.

I love my new work as a Substance Abuse Counselor and feel I am making a difference in turning prisoners lives around. I want to reapply for my R.N. license and use it in conjunction with my Counseling for co-occurring disorders,(mental illness with drug addiction). I am sure the California State Board of Registered Nursing would not look well on my owing back taxes.

I am almost 56 years old now and see no hope of paying these back taxes anytime soon. For this reason I am asking help. I need approximately $25,000.00 to pay off all back taxes and follow my dream. I am respectfully asking for help in this matter. And thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Desperate single mom of 2

Hi,

I am a single mom of two small children in desperate need of financial assistance. I am out of work and have been unable to find a job. My rent is now three months past due and all of my bills are past due. We have received a judgment from our landlord and will issued a writ of possession within a few days so we’ll be out on the street.

I absolutely hate to ask for handouts and never thought I would be asking for help for complete strangers. However, my children mean the world to me and I can’t stand the thought of putting them through this.

If you can find it in your heart to make a donation of any amount to help our family get through this nightmare, we would be eternally grateful. Prayers would be great too!

Nowhere else to turn..

Posted by Shay on 2010-07-08 08:58:58

Well, I know that times are hard for everyone. I know that I am especially no exception to that. Everyone needs help, the economy isn't the same. People need work, and people need a helping hand. Well, I have nowhere else to turn. I have no one else to depend on. The world can feel like a pretty scary place; when you look around and realize your all alone. In this moment one of my darkest hours, I am thankful to at least have one friend.

Though they cant help me financially, I now have a roof over my head. For that I am truly thank full. But, it has been a hard and rocky road. It all started over a year ago. I was living in New Jersey I thought I had my life planned out. I thought I would marry, finish school, and have children.

Then one day I came home and found my reality turn upside down. The man I thought I knew so well, wasn't who I thought he was. He stole everything. I had nothing. My family is small and they don't have financial backing to help me. Which is like a lot of American people now. But, my mother did have a place. It needed a lot of work, but it gave me a place to go.

I moved out of state and moved into her vacation home. Which now is on the verge of her losing due to her increasing financial situation. But, I went down to try and fix the place up and get back on my feet. Within a couple months of being there, I thought I meet a very caring person. No they didn't offer me money, but they offered me work.

I thought this person was truly amazing. He would buy my gifts and make me feel like I had a chance at a new start. We worked together for several months, before I realized there was something wrong with the facade that they had showed me. The problem was though that person's facade was built up also by their family. This made the story of how great they were more believable. I believed I was over reacting that I was being prejudging because of my past situation.

But, I should have trusted my gut instinct. I should have realized that my instinct should always be listened to. By the time I realized there was something wrong and this person was not who I thought they were, it was already to late. I decided one evening in July of last year to end things with this person.

I never thought for one moment, I would have to worry about anything. I was under a false assumption that we would end things and go our separate ways. But, I was truly wrong. Very wrong. That night I tried my hardest to end things. But, things went very wrong. They became angry, threatening, and even violent. They destroyed the property and also shattered my trust.

Two thousand dollars in damage was done to the property, but the personal damage done to me is beyond financial consideration. When the police showed up at my home, I showed them (what that did not see obviously with the outside damage they saw when I showed them the damage inside the property) the damage and explained what happen.

When this person was arrested, and the state was going to prosecute I truly thought I would be safe. I again was truly wrong. For months after he harassed me, calling, showing up all hours of the night, and showing up where ever I was.

Yes I took action. I filed with a domestic violence order of protection. I assumed that within him being served the papers this would all finally be behind me. But it wasn't. I was granted the order of protection and assumed I could be safe. But when he called and then the next day showed back up on my property I realized I needed to call the police.

I felt he truly believed with time, I would look past what he had done to me. That I would forgive him and take him back, but I don't believe anyone especially a women deserves to be brutalized physically. I knew in my own mind, I would never take him back. It wasn't until I called the police on him did he too realize I wouldn't. When they went to arrest him for breaking the order of protection, he become angry.

I assume he wanted revenge. Because within a week of him suppose to be arrested, the police showed up at my home. They had a warrant to check the property for stolen goods. I explained to them that I have never been in trouble with the law nor would I have a problem with them coming into the home.

Little did I realize, the gifts that I found so flattering just 3-6 months before were stolen. He was obviously a much darker person than I had originally realized. I have to assume it was him, because all they took from the home were the gifts he had given me. I was charged with possession of stolen goods. It wasn't until all this had happen, that I decided to research who he was.

I fond out he had a dark past that I was not aware of. He had been in prison for over ten years. He had abused another women, damaged her property, and also had kidnapping charges, and robbery charges. I decided to write an article about my own experience to help prevent others from going through what I did. But for the next month or so I felt isolated and alone.

I knew no one in the state, for I was not from there. I went there looking for a chance to rebuild my life and found it more shattered than it had originally been. When my brother decided he needed a change for his son (he is a single parent) and wanted to move to Connecticut he asked if I wanted to leave the state and go with him to try in Connecticut. I felt I had nothing more to lose at this point and since I had nothing there I decided to go with him.

When I moved to Connecticut, I found a job and started to save money for what I knew there would be many trips down to the state I had left to fight for my innocence. But, unfortunately I lost the job within a month of being here. My brother had by then found work finally. But, when he realized I didn't have work, he decided I had to go. So I was kicked out of my place and left with nothing.

Thankfully for my friend I was fortunate enough to be able to stay there. The problem now lies with my situation I am currently in. I have been given a public defender, who this whole time I have only spoke with maybe three times in the last 8 months. She has done nothing to help me and supposedly is defending me, but the sad part is she doesn't even know my side of the story.

Every time I called she was/ is never available. When I explained to her( or I should say her assistant) I had just been kicked out and had no money or place to go, and that I desperately needed to change the court date she said that wouldn't be a problem and she would take care of it. It wasn't until two days later (now able to stay with a friend), I was able to use a phone and call her.

Come to find out she didn't even try to represent me. I was given a bench warrant untop of my other charge. I feel now I am truly alone, and more so scarred. I don't know what else to do. I don't even know if anyone will even take the time to hear my story. I know that there are so many shady people out there it's hard to know who is being honest and who is just trying to use other people. I can understand.

I feel my trust has been shattered beyond repair. I feel lost and completely alone. The worse part is I have done the research, it will take 8,000 dollars for a lawyer to represent me and remove the bench warrant to give me the opportunity to show that I am innocent. I ask myself how can I possible do that? I have nothing. Now I have no family, no friends, nothing. Well, I can't say no friends, for I do have one who might not have anything to give.. But they did give me a roof over my head.

That is more than anyone has give the past year or so. I just didn't know where else to turn. So, I decided I would share my story. Just maybe some people will read it. If enough people read it and help with just a dollar, ten dollars, 20 dollars, who knows it could add up and help me. I do want to work, but I am scarred. I know if I work they will find me. I will have then no chance to fight for my innocence. They wont even want to hear my side.

I don't think they will believe that I truly just didn't have money to get down and be at my court date. I would have been, but I didn't expect to get kicked out or that everything would end up where it is now. I don't know if anyone will help. Or if they will just say its my own problem and move on. But, if I don't ask.. If I don't say anything.. How would I ever truly know. Yes you have all right say no. That it isn't your problem. Or that I need to grow up and handle my own business.

But, I believe in hope. Who knows maybe some people will say they have a couple dollars to give. Maybe some people will have some advice to share. I believe in hope, I wont allow myself any longer to drown in the sea of nos. Just maybe you will be the one to say yes and help me. I'm just thankful for whoever reads this post, for taking the time to hear my side. I guess that is all I can really ask for. Thank you everyone for your time.

I live in Port Charlotte, FL. and have recently loss my job due to my pleading "no contest" on a drug possession charge i was not guilty of, but pled that way under council of my lawyer. Since my termination, I have been unable to find work due to the fact that I must tell any potential employers of my probation situation.

I have six years of experience in the medical/clerical setting and I am a fast learner and very efficient worker.

If anybody can offer me a job in this setting, I can guarentee that I will be an excellent addition to their staff. Please email me at kberteletti2@yahoo.com with any serious inquiries. Thank you.
