help with paying my bills

Posted by miljo1 on 2012-05-20 14:58:20

I am confident, responsible young woman from Poland. I am a hard working and ambitious, stubbornly strive to end. But there are things that I will never overcome ... political system, unemployment, legal and economic conditions.
Books of Brian Tracy and Robert Kyiosaki won't help me , no seminars or personal trainer. I want to fulfill my dreams, I want to have the possibility to study, travel, and in the future, I want to live in my dream home.

At the moment i'm unemployed and I realy need your financial help to pay my bils and fulfill my dreams.

I have a precise plan. I know it may take some time but I am prepared for this.

Need help getting over the hump...

To whom it may concern,

Stated Goal: $2,000.00 (by March 21st, 2012) for tuition, books and some new pants to get my academic career going... Breakdown of $1,288.33 for tuition/fees, approximately $400.00 in textbooks/supplies for the quarter, and the remainder for some pants and necessary travel expenditures for the first month of school.

I know you have many options with where your hard-earned money goes - some may make you feel GREAT about shedding a few pounds in the wallet, and others will leave you feeling downright dirty. I know this, because I was once in your shoes; money in my wallet, left only to my vices as to where to spend it. I never felt right about just handing it over to someone who, in my opinion, would merely go drink it away, drug it away, etc. It's funny how life throws these things all back into your face sometimes, and as such I find myself in need and hoping that the right person(s) will have the faith to invest in me - that's right, I said INVEST.

I don't believe in a handout, but I DO believe that sometimes we fall a bit harder than we are prepared to do and as such are put into situations that we neither expected nor are comfortable with. I opened a business that was going rather well for its first 7 months of operation. Then, through an anonymous post from someone online that "appeared" to be from my company, me and my business partner got black-balled from the industry (VERY political/bureaucratic in that particular industry). When this went under, though, it took me and everything I own with it - my vehicle, my home and much of my personal belongings. Prior to that, I spent 11 years on active duty military status in order to protect and serve this country. Yes, I've earned the G.I. Bill and fully intend to use it for its designed purpose. TheMy defining issue, however, is that the Bill pays for school on a month-to-month basis, at the END of each month of training. For example, my school begins this April 2nd so I cannot claim my benefits until the end of April, which will cause my first G.I. bill payment to get sent out in early May. The school, however, requires payment up-front and as explained above, I currently do not have the capital to get started. Once I've started, the Bill will sustain me, therefore I merely ask for assistance in getting the first quarter of classes paid, including books. I have a great academic history, and this is truly where I excel. My purpose is to some day acquire a PhD in pharmaceutics and do research to find new and improved medications for the benefit of the masses.

As for the pants, I have two pairs remaining and both have holes in the legs and crotch. While these DO technically work for all intents and purposes, it gets a bit breezy on these cold days and nights, and is probably unsightly (at best) to any of my would-be professors who may not appreciate an instructor's-eye-view of these things. As such, I figure I might like to buy a couple of pairs prior to matriculation.

Thank you, in advance, to any and all who assist me on this endeavor.

Leaving for Colombia in 29 days!!

Posted by crauschenbach on 2012-01-05 00:58:46

Last January I was fortunate enough to travel to the country of Nicaragua with a group called Witness for Peace. On this two week adventure I was able to learn about sustainable development, economics, and agricultural practices. I met economists, political journalists, community leaders, and members of the U.S. Embassy. I spent each day on tours and educational trips attending lectures and presentations designed to inform the group about the real Nicaraguan way. I even stayed with a coffee farming family living in the rural mountainside. My trip to Nicaragua was a life changing experience that has opened my eyes to the magnificent cultures in this world, and has allowed for my own personal development on a very deep level. This trip would have been impossible if not for the fact that it was able to be transformed into a study abroad trip through my university, and therefor additional funding and scholarships were able to pay my way.
This February I have been so lucky to be invited to attend another delegation! This time the trip is to the cities of Cali and Bogota in the country of Colombia, one of the most beautiful and ecologically diverse parts of South America. Here I have the opportunity to spend time with rural Afro-Colombians and to learn about the women in positions of leadership who have helped support and strengthen their communities. Unfortunately because of the travel warning between the United States and Colombia, my school will not approve this trip as a study abroad experience. Instead, I found a professor who is willing to facilitate an independent study, where I can still earn course credit for the trip. Unfortunately, because it is not considered a study abroad program, I am ineligible to receive additional funding or scholarship money through the school.
Traveling is my passion and engaging in new cultures is incredibly fulfilling for me. Please help me accomplish my goals and follow my dreams!

Hello to you, for reading this.
I am 43 single mom of 5, and 3 grandchildren.
I have always provided the best I can for them but have been laid-off for 3 months now.
I lost my home and moved in with my daughter, very small apartment for family of six right now. My daughter worked in a nursing facility that was recently closed down for the state not having enough funds.Basically political, I think.
So now all said and done she is out of work, with my 2 granchildren, and 1 baby in which she has temporary custody because the mom of baby did not take care of herself. We have about 1200 dollars in utility bills with shut off notices, no money for winter clothing, especially for children, no money for food (and yes we wait in lines at food pantries) but yuck. But its food. Our rent is already a month and a half late. We are very worried. I send out resumes everyday...but still wonder when I do get a job, about how I will get there, with gas, and winter coming I have real bad tires. Its really everyones nitemare that society is going thru. Not just ours. i have never asked for help like this and really dont know what to think of it but if there are people out there that truly donate to families> GOD BLESS YOU ALL

PhD Student in Political Theory Asking for Help

Posted by austinhayden on 2011-08-01 03:58:51

Hi,

My name is Austin. I'm currently a PhD student in Political Theory. My research is primarily concerned with examining social movements and their relationships with State power. I am very involved in social, environmental, and political activism, and my research aims to be eminently practical as fuel for aiding further progress in this ever-expanding, globalized world.

Although I teach, tutor, edit student essays, and work part-time as a personal trainer my bills are still swallowing me whole (especially those pesky student loans!). If you are in a position to donate, I would be most appreciative, as any gratuity that I might receive will surely relieve some stress. Even if it's only a couple dollars, you will have my sincerest gratitude.

Feel free to contact me via email.

Thank You for Considering the Matter!

A year ago, my marriage fell apart, and ever since I have struggled to help put my daughter through college.

I am an ex-minister who was let go by my church because I refused to play the political games.

Today I am in massive debt from small loan companies and internet quick loans.

I have prayed ceaselessly for relief from my financial situation but so far - no answer.

So I am asking you, help restore my faith. All I need is three thousand dollars - a small sum in the large scheme of things - and I need it in 40 days.

If you help answer this prayer by allowing yourself to be used by God, I will know that I am not alone.

I'm begging for help.
Just three thousand dollars.
Please consider it.

High School Summer School Program at Princeton

Posted by apatterson on 2011-05-11 19:58:23

I have been selected to attend the Junior Statesmen Summer School at Princeton University in July. This enrichment program in highly selective and open to only 250 students worldwide, all of who, show an interest in political science and government. It is a great honor for me to be selected, and I am excited to attend. I am writing this ask for your financial support to help me attend.

At the summer school I will have the opportunity to take advanced placement classes with university professors. I will also have the chance to meet major political leaders.

The total amount I need is $4,500. This includes the tuition and room and board. Due to my circumstance my family is unable to pay any part of this.

A sponsorship of any amount will be greatly appreciated. Your contribution will help me not only attend the program but broaden my knowledge of politics. If you are interested in helping I will be more then happy to provide you with additional information.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Please Help With My Dream, I Promise to Give Back

Posted by lindabaker on 2011-04-04 17:58:54

I am a 19-year-old student of sociocultural anthropology who also has a strong interest in ecology and the environment. My life's dream is to one day start my own ecotourism company that employs local people in developing nations, encourages responsible and environmental-oriented travel, increases cultural awareness, and gives back to the community. In the past I've been lucky enough to participate in several overseas tours with such companies; I financed my most recent trip by working the night shift in the dairy and frozen foods department of a local supermarket for several months. However, the one nation that I have always dreamed of working in is Zambia: a landlocked nation in southern Africa brimming with diverse landscapes, breathtaking natural beauty, and friendly people. Unfortunately, poverty remains an ongoing problem in some rural parts of this nation. My ultimate goal when visiting Zambia is to communicate with some of the local people in their own languages (I've been studying Bemba and Nyanja) in an attempt to better understand the social, political and economic climate of Zambia, support local lodges, hostels and safari guides, and learn more firsthand about environmental issues in this beautiful and fascinating land. Of course I always prefer to work hard for such travel and research opportunities, and will be perfectly honest when I say that there are many people on this website who need cash donations for reasons far more vital than mine. For a student who is currently unable to find work, I am unsure of how I'd pay for a trip to Zambia at some point next winter. I will continue to search for work and strive towards once again earning the money myself, but if anyone wishes to supplement the costs of my travel with a very small donation, I will certainly be thankful! If I can find 2,000 people who can each give just 50 cents, I will be well on my way towards realizing this dream. Thank you for your time and support!

My name is Ephraim Ntlamo (18) I’m a Zimbabwean national living in Cape- Town. I came to South Africa on my own in 2008 as a political refugee; I didn’t know anybody here. This situation lead me to living on the streets of Cape Town for months, I was very discouraged by my situation of living under the bridge, but never lost the hope that one day I will be in school again.
In fact being far away from home, missing the family together with being homeless at the same time can be very stressful that the temptation of using substances to stay calm can be very high, however because I had a dream to be a educated man one day, I resisted all this and kept on believing in myself that one day I shall overcome all of these obstacles and enroll into school again. The best platform to reconstruct my life towards achieving my childhood dream of becoming an electrical engineer, these experiences have however made me have interest in human rights law, so I will be studying that after high school.

Thanks to well wisher sponsors today I have a place to call home and I’m attending school. Those are big steps towards achieving my goals in life. I recently applied to attend grade 11at Premiere collage and got accepted; Premiere collage is rated among the best private collages schools in Western Cape. The academic pass rate isn’t bad.

The fee’s are [R 15,000] plus the once off registration fee of R1500 I do not have the money however I’m looking for small sponsorships towards my fees

There are various reasons why I want to be student at this school. Firstly, like I mentioned before it’s a great school to get the best education that prepares someone for the world outside there.

In 2009 formed a soccer team of unaccompanied refugee children from all over Africa living here in Cape Town; the purpose of the formation of this team is for educational purposes. The idea is for us refugee children not to isolate ourselves from South Africans; instead we want to be part of the solution to issues like xenophobia, racism, and any sort of discrimination. See www.refugee6foundation.org. Most importantly this refugee team serves to persuade other refugee children to consider education as the only alternative way to success. We also discuss about issues like HIV/AIDS. At this stage the idea had worked very well: Few boys have abandoned their labour jobs in vine yards farms and they are looking forward to starting attending school this year as well.

For me attending Premier Collage I believe will encourage them to believe that nothing is impossible in life and this step will also enable me to persuade as many other refugee children as I can to quit their labour jobs and go back to school. This will help them to be confident and have the realization that everything is possible in life.

Lastly I’m in the middle of writing my book to be about my life experiences, I therefore think that attending this school because of its great diverse culture will help me write a successful book that might change lives of many youth on the way they view the world. See www.childmigrant.wordpress.com
