Help save my mom's life please

Posted by Gisl on 2012-05-21 16:58:34

Dear friends,

I feel very uncomfortable coming like that asking money to people I even do not know. It is the first time of my life to acting this way, but we are so desperate that I decide anything to save my mom. We need help of any good soul to save my mom's life. She is 62 years old, a wonderful woman who worked really hard for her family for long time...she's has a diabetic rethinopathy in both eyes and doctors says she needs a surgery as fast as possible to save her sight. Unfortunately there is no technology appropriate where she is living, so she need to travel to have a chance to get appropriate care. And the cost of the surgery is pretty much expansive that we can not afford it by ourselves. She already lost her autonomy and every single day is playing against her. This surgery is the last chance to save my lovely mother from blindness. I am asking your help for any amount you can afford to help us get this surgery done. I want to believe that all the kindness I would receive from you will come back to you multiplied.
Thank you very much for your support.

God bless you.

My Little Ones and I could Use an Angel

I am a single mother of two. I recently just moved and I am having a hard time getting adjusted. I do have a job, but I have been playing catch up on the rent. I did make that a priority so that we would at least have a roof over our heads. But that has left us almost starving. I have been to the local food banks, but they all only run only once a month. I have applied for government assistance, but because I make more than minimum wage they are unwilling to help at all! I am drowning here and I don't want my children to starve! Can some please help us out!

Deserving Musical Miracle

Posted by GuitarMom on 2012-05-08 23:58:23

I am seeking help to pay for my son's college tuition and associated fees. My son has been accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. It is an honor for anyone to be accepted to this esteemed institution, however my son's story is quite exceptional. When he was 10 years old, he nearly lost his right arm due to a post-surgical bleed. He was diagnosed with a bleeding disorder known as von Willebrands. He has been left with a disabled arm and hand. He only has use of his thumb on his right hand. His childhood was comprised of surgeries and infusions. When he was 12 years old, he asked if he could buy a guitar. He was so happy because he had seen Tommy Emmanuel playing guitar with a thumb pick on television. He purchased the guitar and began working on a technique to play. He can only use his thumb to pick the guitar strings and must hold his fingers in a special position so that he does not mute the strings. His goal since age 12 has been to study at Berklee. It is an honor to be accepted to such a fine school. Despite a severe disability he has been able to achieve this remarkable goal. Financing his education is going to be extremely difficult. Berklee is an expensive college and scholarships seem scarce. If you know of any scholarships that would be available for him please let me know. If you feel like you want to donate, it is much appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

Help me get to the 2012 Disc Golf World Championships!

Posted by StrongHeart on 2012-04-27 15:58:11

I have been invited by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) to play in the World Championships this year. I am currently registered but now I am worried about not having enough money to make it there. The tournament is in North Carolina and I am from Michigan. This is the first year that I have been invited and would be devastated if a lack of funds prevented me from playing.

My husband has been out of a job for over a year now and we've been struggling to pay mortgage and electric enough as is. I work full time but it's not easy to live off one income. Until he finds a job, for which he is constantly searching, I don't have any extra money in my budget for extras like tournaments but this is such a great opportunity for me.

I need all the help I can get and every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated! I am going to be fundraising locally to help cover the cost of hotel accommodations.

Help support women in disc golf!

NEED HELP BAD

Posted by jlvHELP on 2012-04-20 08:58:36

Life is so bad. Lost my job and I'm 58 noone will hire or even reply to my resumes. My husband is handicap and 73, just had open heart surgery so he can't work. We live only on his Social Security and this state says we make too much for assistance. Hum, let them try to live on it. This month we are living on $20 for 3 weeks. Always late on rent. Waiting for phone, TV to be disconnected which happens regularly. Groceries, well go to food pantry to help. Worked all my life and can't believe this is happening. I just sit in my chair most of the time if I'm not crying or having panic attacks. Can't afford insurance or meds, so go to free clinic when I can get in. I'm diabetic, heart issues, lung issues, etc and playing russian roulette, but what can I do. Hope nothing major happens because I have no insurance and can't afford hospital bills, guess I see my parents earlier in heaven.
Anyone if you can help, please please please help us. Anything will help. I've written Ellen so many times but she must think we are worth the help, old folks that we are.

Air Conditioner Repair So I Can Get To My Medical Visits

Posted by steph68461 on 2012-03-16 18:58:40

Greetings,

My name is Stephanie. Following the death of both my parents in a car accident 5 years ago August my health has been in a steady decline. I suffer from neurological issues that will soon have me in a wheelchair, and advanced COPD that means I have to have Oxygen continuously. Yesterday I had to go the doctors in 85 degree heat without any air conditioning in my van. By the time I got to the medical center and tried to find this new doctors location I ended up collapsing twice between the walking and breathing. I weigh 83 pounds at 5'5" and I can't carry the oxygen with me when I have to exit the vehicle. Ultimately I ended up in the emergency room.

I live with my daughter and grandson of 6 years. My grandson was in the car when my parents were killed and suffered a major brain injury at 13 months. I'm happy to report though that after months of hospitalization he is right as rain and is mad at me currently ;o) because I'm on my computer which he adores playing with. My daughter suffers from PTSD since the accident my parents were killed in. She cannot drive without someone in the car and she was going to go with me yesterday but the heat was so bad that we were concerned about Gavin in the back in my black 1994 Ford Astro van. It was just way too hot for him and with her PTSD we HAVE to go through town to get anywhere or she will lose it so there would not have been any steady air flow.

It's been a long 5 years. My parents and I jointly owned a duplex. Their deaths were the beginning of the most miserable time of my life. When I divorced it was jointly decided that it would better if I lived in the upstairs apartment so they could be there for the kids while I worked. Over 16 years we became so close that their deaths nearly destroyed me. I paid for the last 15 years on the note of the house, my buy in and we all lived there incredibly content and happy. My parents were my best friends.

After their deaths during the mortgage meltdown, credit locks, and the economic fallout my career of 16 years was one of the first to go. I worked in the non-profit sector designing programming for inner-city communities with a specific focus on youth. So 8 months after their deaths the funding streams I used for the programming dried up and a job I loved disappeared.

Life insurance was enough to cover their debt with a little left over because they didn't carry much but in the end I lost my home of 16 years to the insurance company that covered my daughters son through work when they filed a $ 90,000.00 lien against my home. So 7 months after losing my job I also lost a home I loved. So I experienced 3 deaths within the span of a little over a year.

Because I was unemployed so long and had to use my cards to keep the lights on so to speak my credit is not good. So I can't borrow the funds or even charge a repair for the car.

I can no longer go to doctors visits alone. I'm too weak to walk very far without help and I can't carry the oxygen canister on my own. So I need my daughter for these visits.

Like anyone with severe health issues I'm buried in bills but what I really need help on is funds that will me to fix the air conditioning in my van which despite it's age runs like a champ. I have a physicians assistant who comes into my home to work with my but getting to the specialists has become real concern.

My daughter even with her PTSD has reached a point where she doesn't want me going alone. I was supposed to call her when I reached the doctors the other day when I collapsed the 2nd time and they took me to the specialists office I asked the receptionist to call my daughter. She didn't and she left my daughter terrified that something horrible had happened to me. I don't carry a cell I can't afford one. My daughter was getting better about both driving and me driving myself; because of this receptionist my daughter has now had a huge set back. I have to see that doctor again next week and I can't take them without air conditioning so what I'm going to have to do is make sure I find someone that sit with my daughter while I'm gone to help keep her anxiety level low. I don't have any choice I have to get there. I won't have anyone to carry my oxygen but I'm hoping I can in there.

Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. I am more than happy to pay it forward as soon as I can. I have been a lifelong contributor to various causes and I know people are in dire straights right now. We all need help in one form or another. I would never ask if I could do this myself. Please forgive me.

Hello Everyone, I'm a 24 year young lady living in New Zealand with my partner of one year.

I have some grand travel plans. New Zealand being a small country I know there is such a wide world to explore.

I don't have a sob story to tell you as everyone in life is fighting their own battles, some bigger than others, some may seem more important than others.

I do work full time and try and save as much as I can whilst also paying off my $18,000 worth of debt (Car, Lawyers, Seperation fees etc) and being on one income, my partners role was made redundent so he is currently unemployed :(. So far my travel account has $330, nearly enough for a air fair to Australia one way.

I have a wild passion for travel, when I was married I was very held back by my husband but now I'm free, have grown so personally and wish to explore this whole world. EAT PRAY LOVE is such a inspirational movie!! I'm already selling what I can with Garage sales, working extra cash jobs, watering plants, house sitting etc to try and save faster.

I wish to travel to

Australia - Espically the Gold Coast, take my partner to all the theme parks.

I would love to explore the out back and rough it for a few nights

USA - I would love to travel LA to NY along route 66. I would love to go to Texas, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm and more. My dream job a Rollarcoaster Tester!! Travel the world playing on rollarcoasters. I'm no boring chick, I like adventure and just wish to explore this world.... oh and defintitly want to chase a tornado in America.

Would also love to go to Egypt, Italy, Rome, Thailand. I'm ready to pack up and go. Happy to work when I get to these countries to help my self around.

Im just asking anyone who has kindness in their hearts to help my partner and I, go exploing in this wide world...

PS- If this helps my chances, my partner doesnt believe this will work, (he is a worry wort, I'm the free spirit / universe believer) he made me a deal, if I get at least $500 he will run nudey down the road!! Haha I shook on it and now he is worried.

If you would like to help a young Kiwi Couple out then please donate to us, what ever you can.

Homeless and in major need of help

Posted by selondon247 on 2012-03-07 09:58:46

I am sorry to bother you but i have exausted all avenues i dont know who else i can go to for help.I will try keep this brief as possible as i dont want to bore you but will need to explain a few things for you to understand. I am 28 years old male i came out as Gay to my ex-partner on the 9th of May 2011 who i had been with for 11 years we had a joint tenancy and have a 6 year old son together. My ex partner knew that she could not make me leave our property with the housing assosiation so on the 31st of May she came home and started laughing telling me i would be leaving that night with what she had planned to do me being nieve thought she was mouthing off at 9pm that evening she called the police pretending to cry and scream telling them i was head butting her and trying to attack her and she felt in threat of her life which was a lie as i wasnt even in the same room as her i even made a point of walking into the room and calmly saying why are you lying for , anyway to cut long story bit shorter she had police make me pack my belongings that evening and leave in which my mum said i could temp stay at her house. She stopped me seeing my son even on his 6th birthday she tormented me with saying if i wished to see him i could drive down to the flat sit outside and look at him by window which i did and destroyed me. I had to take time off work as i became in very deep depression and intotal was off work for 4 months was seeing doctor and still am for my depression. On the 9th of May police came to my mums and arrested me which again destroyed me as i have never been in trouble with the law and to be honist am scared of police i spent 12 hours in a cell then was interviewed and given no furthur action as even the police officer said looks like she is playing the system, but even with getting no furthur action i was told i could not return back to the property and that if i did i could be arrested so i was forced out my home which she didnt allow me to have any of my belongings. She is very clever playing system as she is currently still making out she is unfit to work for the hurt ive caused being gay and saying i have emotionally destroyed her. I have been to Greenwich council as well as my local housing assosiation i done a housing application on the 19th May 2011 but was told i am not priority and would be waiting years. I can not afford to go private letting i can not get that kind of money together and am not entitled to any benifit help. My dad found out im Gay and wants me out of there house now i am being cursed every day by family "whens the poof going" , "wont have gay boy in my home" it is destroying me if it was not for my son i would rather die than live this so called life. I went back on numerous occassions to greenwich council and continuiously bid on propertys every week but am told i have a long wait and they will not even help me with tempoary accomadation my expartner allowed me to see son every other weekend but now she has fallen out with my mum she will not let me see my son until i have my own place for him to come , what am i meant to do. My parents want me out , i cant see son yet no one will help me with housing , I am seeing a Gay councilling service to help me deal with coming out and what comes with that but they can not help me with housing this is my biggest problem of them all as without me having my on fixed secure property i will not be able to see son and my emotional state will never improve and this scares the hell out of me. My dad is telling me i have till end of january and he is kicking me out and then what??? i have no where to go no friends or family to go to i even looked into letting rooms and then ex partner said she will not allow me to see child as its not secure for him.I AM TIRED AND EXAUSTED and in all honisty would rather be dead then alive but cant because cant do that to my son. I really need someone to help me even if it is with a tempoary accommadtion whilst i am bidding for a permant council place i have again been to greenwich council and was rudly told by a member of staff "well you should of thought about that when you decided toi tell your expartner you were gay" and told "your old enought to take care of yourself sleep in a car if you have to" i am horrified and disgusted that my own local council can treat someone in this way and again is this because im GAY . I only have one option after fighting all avenues and thats to try rase £1000 to put down as a deposit on a place i am homeless with nowhere to go have been sleeping in car and at work place i am having to resort to asking peoples good nature to donate what ever they can to help me this would be more than greatfully appricated and i make a promise that when back on my feet all money raised i will match that value and donate to charity one being young people that are homeless and mcmillian cancer. I am very sorry for having to ask strangers for help but this is my final last resort. Many Kind Regards

Hi.

Thanks for taking the time to read my request. I'm 30 years old, still in college and living with my parents. I've made a lot of great accomplishments in my life with far less support than most people who make it this far. Of course, with that said I've also made plenty of mistakes.

I grew up with a single parent, and another parent who visited annually just to stir up emotions and make my life miserable. When I was 18, I decided to work really hard to lose weight so that I could join the US Air Force. I had a strict plan that I was going to follow to succeed in life.

Unfortunately my superiors in the USAF would not accommodate that plan to independence as they forced me to find my own way from the barracks to work (a 40 mi drive), so I had to immediately struggle to get my drivers licence and I had to buy a car on an Airman's paygrade.

My income wasn't enough to afford the car and gas and other living needs that I was expected to pay, so eventually I had to leave the Air Force before my term was up (under honorable conditions). I tried to work as a civilian. The transfer was tough and I was vastly uninformed about what to do and what my options were. I'm the first first generation college student of my extended family.

After some petty jobs that would each take more than 10 years to be able to earn enough to live independently, I finally found a nice nighttime custodian job that was at least simple enough for that kind of pay. I was the night time custodian, but I was also a guy to have on call at this retirement home where I worked. If people's toilets flooded or a nearly deaf resident left their tv on past quiet hours (once I could hear one through 3 floors!) I was the guy to send up to fix it.

Having my first satisfying job as a civilian, I was able to investigate community college during the day, so eventually I enrolled and tried taking a few classes while working full-time. College was my saving grace. I never felt like I belonged anywhere until I first started to take college courses in math, science, and philosophy. I found the tutoring lounge on campus, made a lot of friends there, and I spent many hours cramming and helping those in need.

This soon led to me finding financial aid, making arrangements with my parents (my mom and my stepfather) to let me go to school full-time while I lived with them, and putting in my 2 weeks notice at work to focus exclusively on school.

My counselors advised that I pick where I want to transfer to and then figure out the details of how to get there after I got accepted. I think this was bad advice. While I ended up choosing to transfer to a university that had my desired major, Biophysics, it was 60 miles away from where my parents lived. My car that I had bought when I was in the Air Force also eventually broke down from not being able to afford maintenance while I worked, and was towed away for being in the public street for too long.

Finally, I got accepted to UC San Diego to work towards a degree in Physics with a specialty in Biophysics. When it came time to transfer, I got as involved as I could on how and when I was supposed to receive the financial aid so that I could go get an apartment and everything, and my school kept telling me, "you should get it tomorrow" until about 2 weeks into my first quarter when I finally got the support.

Despite this rocky start, I managed to get into a good shape for myself, making my way slowly but surely through school. Learning a great deal. Eventually when I felt the struggle was too difficult, I changed my major to Neuroscience before I began my upper division coursework.

So, as I settled into my schooling and struggled with maintaining financial independence on financial aid, I managed to get myself into maintaining a great aquarium hobby, owned two great little kittens from a street cat program, led as president of a student organization for one year, and eventually I got married. I also carefully learned about the stock market and managed to make some great gains with money that I had invested from financial aid savings.

In 2010, my gains were over 100%. That amounted to $2000 doubling itself, but still, that says a lot about me as a trader. However, 6 months into my marriage, she said she wanted out, grabbed the car that we both paid into (most of the money was mine from stocks; $5500 worth), and refused to pay her share of 2 months rent. That happened in December of the year of 2010.

2011 was a difficult year for me. I fought hard to maintain things, especially my head, but it was tough. I lost 45 lbs from exercising regularly, made lots of new friends, and I got some volunteer work experience in a Neuroscience lab. But I just couldn't focus well enough to maintain my finances and my grades, so I had to drop out and live back with my parents.

Despite how tough it's been, not finding work, struggling with the ins and outs of the VA, and just needing a professional therapist to talk to and help me keep my head straight but never being able to get one, I've managed to recuperate well enough and learn a lot more about this bottom floor of society that I've been so desperately trying to escape my whole life.

I've gone looking for opportunity in every direction. I've tried changing my career goals, collecting recyclables, writing online, trying any online scheme that didn't include me forking out money to get it, imagining what I could write as a novel, tried to make money through playing video games, making goal after goal after goal for myself, but still just not being able to get just the right amount of money to put me back on my feet.

I'll be going back to school in April at the risk of having to do it as a homeless person if the VA doesn't pull through for me. They recently approved my 10% service connected disability status and now I need to jump over a few more hurdles to get my more significant service connected disabilities recognized. I'm also seeing what the vocational rehab people can do for me despite the bureaucratic issues that are stopping them from helping me all the way.

BTW, this whole time that I've gone through life with common lower class difficulties, I've been disabled with a number of small conditions that all add up to a hard time. I have lower back issues that the military has yet to own up to. Community college found also that I have a learning disability which makes some intellectual tasks show up as lower than average ability for me while the rest of my intellect is high enough to expect that I could easily get a Masters Degree or a PhD. My biggest difficulty in school is that they don't give me enough time to show them what I know or what I'm capable of.

From working with special needs students as a tutor, I have proven to myself that there is a major problem in the education system. Most teachers never simplify the material into a clear picture of what they want to teach. If you want someone to learn something, the last thing you should be fuzzy on is what it is exactly that you want them to learn. We can't all work like intuitive Jedi or sophisticated parrots.

If you help me out, here is a list of the priorities of what your money will go towards, in order of their priority If you would like to request that I spend your donation on a specific cause, please let me know:

1. A working cheap economic vehicle.
I need something that I can sleep in and that will take me wherever I need to go. Preferably something that can stow quite a few recyclables as well to pay for gas, but not an SUV or truck or van (Unless that's all that is cheap of course. Not likely but you never know.).
I'll aim for great gas mileage, but I'm thinking that I should attend some police car auctions to see what the cheapest deal I can find is. This car would make a great shelter for me while I return to my far away school.

2. Investing on the stock market.
Trust me, I know how to fish. If you want to send me a request for proof I'd be glad to compose some evidence of my finest moments as well as my worst to show you that I can do well for myself on the stock market, even during the recession. What I could really use right now, is a little bait. Trading is good money for me, but to make enough to make gains worth more than the commission cost (about $10), you need about $300-1000 per investment. $300 is more for the high risk lottery plays on the market. I even made a blog about it if you would like to see:
http://www.squidoo.com/TheYoungidealistEconomyBlog
If you are willing, we can arrange something personal so that you wont need to worry about me putting the money you offer at high risk and blow it all. Might even be able to arrange something where I could make money for you to prove myself before accepting your donation. Whatever the case, I know we'd have to make it a personal arrangement to satisfy the current laws.

3. Working towards paying my debts to my friends.
My friends have been really supportive through these hard times, though they are starving students themselves. To keep up my morale they've bought me food, given me a place to crash when they could, and even paid to have me join them at fun local events. I have some money that I've promised them back, and I plan on making due on those promises as soon as possible.

4. Paying off my debts with companies.
I've had times where I couldn't afford to pay for rent and had to leave, like when my wife left me to live with her parents. These issues follow me on my credit score and I would like to work towards removing them so that I can turn my life around.

5. Getting a good start towards paying off my student loans.
I know I won't be able to pay them off before I find a good career with my degree. I would just like to have something to start making some automatic payments with and put that part of my bad credit score behind me as well.

6. Buying a home.
My mom never owned a home. No offense meant to land lords out there, but I really think the rental system is way out of line. My mom was always a hard worker. Way better than me, yet she could never own a home because she didn't have the money. Meanwhile, people with money could live in great big houses for less than she even had to pay.
I want a house to own. Probably start with a condo and seek ways to improve it and flip a profit out of it. Then I want to keep building up money from housing until I can manage to build an apartment building.
If I could, I'd like to make an apartment building near a university that offers cheap housing using the Japanese capsule model or something even more economic and more comfortable.

7. Making an online tutoring site meant to offer free tutoring and tutoring for tips. Imagine a site (I have yet to know of one) where people can collect their resources on a class, much like they collect info on ratemyprofessor.com, but also seek help from others who are taking the class or who have taken the class. Donors like you can offer money to tutors who post their notes and stories on the site, alongside ratings from other students that they helped.
Some tutors can offer their rates for help, sell their notes online for cheap, or just offer their help whenever they can and ask to be tipped through paypal if someone likes their work. My hope is that such a site could help to put an end to sophistry in the college system once and for all, making education easy and affordable for everyone.

8. After I have everything I'm hoping for above, the sky is the limit. But I would prefer to put the extra money that I don't need to good uses. I would spread a little philanthropy around, give to others in need on this site and through other resources.
I'd also look to teach others how to fish. I think a great way for the economy to be fixed would be if philanthropists made some really good employee owned companies. Make the place pay for itself, skim a little off the top, and walk away knowing that you really were a job creator.
I think that everyone who is capable of work and who chooses to work deserves to have their own independent living situation. I know that we are a long way from that, but I tend to be an optimist. I would like to try and make the world a better place, if nothing else.

Aside form financial help, I'm interested in anything else that I could get that's useful. Advice, Neuroscience Career connections, work, hobby or volunteer work that can easily become lucrative, I'm really all ears. Thanks again for taking the time to read my request. I hope you find it in you to help me out, even get to know me if you'd like. Bet you $5000 I can make you laugh. Did I win? >;) it was worth a try anyway.

I moved in with my girlfriend 2 months ago. I left Boston to come be with her in NYC. My work had run dry until April. She had just been evicted from her apartment by a slumlord landlord who stole her belongings. We were living from paycheck to paycheck. Supporting each other as best we could. We didn't have enough money to get an apartment of our own, so we got a one month sublet, which ended up being a nightmare-living in a closet with our 2 cats, and dealing with the scum of the earth roommates who made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and awful. During that first Monty, we spent our savings just living. We both work in the creative fields, myself a musician, an she an actress. Work was spotty at best. We borrowed money from friends and family, feeling terrible about ourselves every time. Mid-month, I decided to file for unemployment. (something i had never thought I'd ever do)
The money we were expecting from that would have paid her union dues, giving her a pay bump by about 400%. This would have enabled us to not only survive, but get on our feet and pay back our friends/family. About a week and a half after filing, my boss calls me and tells me I can't file, or he'll go out of business due to the fact he's never paid insurance on his employees. He convinced me he'd cover my unemployment pay (totaling $4,343) if I agreed to recind my claim, thus saving him tens of thousands of dollars in back-taxes. I agreed. As soon as I'd done that- he tells me his lawyer advised him not to do that, and that he never agreed to that in the first place.
I have now been playing phone tag with my unemployment agent for weeks trying to restart the claim, and have the state go after him for the money he owes them.
Meanwhile, at the end of January, we had to move again. We couldn't find a place in time, and ended up staying in a motel in Stamford for a night while we made appointments to see a few places. We awoke to the front desk and housekeeping ladies banging on our door, telling us we have to leave or they'll call the cops. We are still fighting Hotwire.com for charging us for that.
Luckily, we found a place that night. The expenses of having to move though, totaled over $500. (rental car, motel, storage)
The apartment we are in now is shared with 4 other people. It's a two bedroom. There are 3 people sleeping in the living room. There are cockroaches. We once again have to move out, by March 7th. We have applied for foodstamps. (they have yet to be approved)
This time around, we have no money to move with. Our resources have been tapped. We are out of options. Work is still spotty, and we have borrowed from everyone we know.
We have a week to come up with rent, cell phone bills, and moving expenses. Nevermind money for food to ear everyday. (as I type this, we are preparing to go out and sell some things for food money)
I have never been this scared in my life. I doubt that writing this is going to make a difference, but I have to try everything.

If anyone reading this wants a specific number that would get us out of this- its $5,000. Here's the breakdown:
$1,000 rent. (not counting a deposit)
$1760 my girlfriends union dues (which means she makes enough to get us on our feet)
$175 storage fee
$250 cell phone bills (it's a month late, an we're on the same plan)
$130 car rental to get our stuff out of the apartment
$40 rental car gas (they charge $9 a gallon if you don't fill the tank when you return the vehicle)
$1,000 for food for the two of us and cats' supplies. (food, litter)
And the rest would be to pay back some of the people who've already been there for us helping us along the way.

Please. Please help. We are a young couple in love. Scared. Trapped. Out of options.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you will find it in your heart to consider helping us.

Please help Ava!

Ava is our adorable pup that we adopted through the
Penny Foundation. Ava is a rescue dog from Mexico. She has filled our
lives with joy and happiness. Ava turned one year old in February. She
is a very active, playful pup who is full of life. A month ago, the exuberant Ava was playing in our backyard. She slipped, and ripped a
tendon in her right hind leg. Upon initial vet exam, she was deemed
fine. However, the condition persisted and she refused to play or go
for walks (VERY unusual for Ava). We took her to a different vet a week
later, and the diagnosis came in – Ava would require surgery. There was
no other option. The injury would not heal on its own. The vet told us
that Ava’s breed is prone to this type of injury. We were very sad to
hear this, as Ava is so young and the surgery would require two months
of recovery time. The surgery is also expensive – $3000 minimum. My
husband and I are not rich people, and are therefore trying to raise
some money to go towards Ava’s surgery. Any amount will help. We want
Ava to make a full recovery, and get back to her normal, fun, playful
puppy lifestyle. The vet told us the prognosis after surgery is very
good, and that Ava should return to full function. Please help Ava.
Thank you!

Wanting a Baby Girl

Posted by mummylove5 on 2012-02-01 20:58:17

We lost our 8 1/2 month old baby girl 2 weeks ago by SIDS. My heart is absolutely shattered, I miss her smell, her touch and caring for her.
I have 4 sons and our baby girl was the icing on the cake for the family! I am dearly wanting to fly to the US to have Gender Selection as I would love to have another baby Girl. I'm not wanting to replace our daughter but to fill that hole in my heart and to feel love again. I got a taste for what it was like to have a daughter, and it was absolutely wonderful.

Need Help Getting A Fresh Start

Posted by kithara29 on 2011-12-27 22:58:56

I never thought I would be on a site asking for money, but I've learned to never say never. I don't have a tragic story to tell, I simply need money to pay off some debts and get started with my life. I have wasted enough of it already. Most of my debt is from unpaid hospital bills back when I didn't have any health insurance. All in all I owe about $5000.00. I moved home to save money, but I feel like every time I take one step in the right direction I get knocked at least ten steps back. My father lost his job so now I am helping him out instead of saving. I have no problem helping my family because they would do the same for me, however I am constantly playing catch up. I feel as if my plans and dreams are getting farther and farther away. I want to go back to school and become a nurse, but my credit isn't good enough to get a student loan. I have decided to join the Peace Corps. I want to travel and as cheesy as it sounds I want to do something meaningful with my life. In order to do that I need to get healthy and fit, as well as pay off debt and help my family. I have always had issues with my weight and I don't want to go to another country to help as the typical "Fat American". I found a personal trainer and a financial adviser and feel they are necessary in making these changes. I appreciate any help at all and if you've made it this far into my rambling, I thank you.Donations are accepted via paypal. Please click on the donate button below.

I have an 18-year old daughter, busy with her final exams in order to go to university next year. She is very talented and gifted in playing piano and saxophone. She would like to become a professional musician. As I don`t have the money to send her to university, it will be unfair to witheld her the opportunity. If anyone is interested in donating something, it will be appreciated, and upon request, I will let you have her CV. If possible, and you have a list of friends or a list of companies to which you can forward our NEED, we will appreciate it as well - maybe someone will help.

My name is Shimonè, busy with my last exams in school, ready to go to university next year. I am very talented and gifted in playing piano and saxophone, and would like to become a professional musician. However, my dad`s application for a studyloan failed, and he won`t be able to pay anything in order to keep me in University. We are staying in a small town with no scope for a job. It is my passion to become a professional musician, therefor I beg everyone who reads this letter, to please pay attention and donate something towards my studies. Every dollar will help. And, please forward this request to everyone you know - maybe somewhere out there, there will be someone who will be able to help a musical student reaching her dream. The cost for one year will be $15 000-00, and this will be all I need, as I will word my may up in the coming years in getting bursaries. The time has run out for application of bursaries or loans for 2012. Please help!!!

Funds for University

My daughter is Shimonè, and is very talented and gifted in playing piano and saxophone. She would like to go to university next year, but unfortunately my application for a loan failed and therefor she won`t be able to fullfill her dream in becoming a professional musician. I did not tell of the rejected application yet, as it will make her very sad in knowing that she won`t be able to attend university.

This is a situation I did not expect, and I know further that I cannot blame other people for my problems, but please, help getting my child to university. Any donation will help.

Thank you very much.
