Hi - I know this is probably going to sound ridiculous, but I really have nowhere else to go at this point. I am 22 years old, and I just moved out of my mom's house. Well, "escaped" would probably be a better term for it - my mom is very emotionally, psychologically, and verbally abusive, and she used a lot of things of that nature against me to keep me from leaving her. For the longest time, I thought my life was normal, but when I became 20, I realized that things in my life were far from that. I have been planning this jump for years, and I finally managed to do it. I literally had to wait until she was at work before I could get my things and move in with my friend. As of now, I am seeking employment of my own (I worked with my mother before, which is obviously out of the question now), and I am struggling with a lot of different financial situations. My vehicle is very old and the license plates are expired, and I have no money to update or repair them. I have two traffic tickets due for them by the end of April, and I am very worried about it. I am also wishing to go to school, but I seriously doubt that is going to happen at any point soon because of my situation. Things just seem to be getting worse and worse the more that I think about them, but anything is better than being under my mom. I hate that it has come to this..But i'm working as hard as i can. I have a job but they just cut my hours to 15 a week!! My fiance is disabled but our wonderful government keeps denying him even though he got hit by a semi and has 8 screws in his spine, along with 2 plates and pins in his hand. and thats just the start. i moved back to my home state to live with my parents because i had a second job lined up but in the mean time i need $350 for rent we get evicted...im scared to be honest. the bank keeps denying us help. I am a single mother of a 2 year old little boy and I am trying to get out of a really bad situation. I do have a job but it is not enough to support me and my son because I am always giving my money to the other people that I live with. My sons great grandparents have been using me for my money and I am in debt really bad now. I need some help with money so that I can start my life back up and get away from these people. I want a fresh start over that is all. I want to pay off my electric bill that is sitting at $1,500, I have a friend that is willing to sell me a car for $1,000 if I can come up with the money, about $200 for plates and title transfer, and maybe $600 so I can be able to by a few new things for me and my son like new clothes for the both of us, a new bed for my son and a bed or couch for me to sleep on. If we do leave we will not be able to take much with us if we want to be able to get out of here fast. I just can not take it here anymore and feel that things are getting worse for me and my son. I have done all that I can just to keep a roof over mine and my sons head. But I am falling faster into depression and I don't know how much more stress I can take. PLEASE HELP US!!!

Life was looking good. Good job (till a week ago) and I was finally able to buy a car. After all is said and done, two weeks goes by and I wonder where my plates and registration are. I went to the DMV to find out what is going on and get a very hefty slap in the face. It turns out, the dealer is not responsible for paying the taxes and registration. Gee, would have been nice to know that at the time of signing. My plea for help is to be able to get my taxes and registration taken care of by 1/1/12 when the temporary sticker runs out. Hi everyone. If you're reading this, thank you. Let me say upfront, I'm not asking specifically for money. I'm just going to spill my guts about this hand I was dealt.

I've had a hard life. My mother passed away when I was 12, and my father passed away at 20. He left me a lot of debt and a house to maintain.

The stress of all this has given me problems. I started having panic attacks and was hospitalized for a cardiac arrhythmia. Recently, I developed optic neuritis. I'm working on getting Medicaid to cover some of my costs but right now I'm in debt about #1000.

There is one blessing in my life, a relative who pays my internet and utilities. He also helps me with food. But that's all he can do. He goes without to provide me with that. Otherwise I'd be homeless, hungry, and who knows where.

So I'm blessed to have the basics in life. But there's so many things that I need that I have to beg other people for. My family is...not so supportive. All I have left are aunts and uncles, all except one on my mom's side. My mom's side of the family pretty much abandoned me when she died. They put me though shame and humiliation when I ask for help.

I want a job, but I live in a very rural area. I've applied s o many places up to an hour away but I don't hear anything back. Recently I applied for some state jobs which I'm hoping might come through.

These are the things I need and things I want, so you know what my intentions are.

Need:
Toilet paper.... :( The way I've been getting it now is to go into public restrooms and putting some in my purse. I feel wrong about this. But what can I say, it's a necessity?

Personal items...I won't go into detail but I'm talking about um, feminine ones. I get the Dollar Store brand kind, but even then it's too much. I've had to go without it which is very hard.

Hygiene items...I stopped using soap and shampoo conditioner. I would love to...I feel dirty honestly. But I can't afford anything. I only use deodorant every few days because the bottle is running low and I'm trying to make it last.

House items...I need dish washing soap. I can't afford paper plates and am just washing dishes with hot water now. Sometimes I cant' clean it all the way through that way, but I just have to forget it. I also need laundry detergent. I'm almost out of a huge bottle that I have made last over a year. It was Sun brand from the dollar store, and I loved it. I'm all about generic.

Gas money...My car is an old SUV, and it takes a fair amount of gas. I try to limit when I drive. But it's a necessity since I live alone and in a rural area. I have to drive to run errands, go see the doctor, go to job interviews. I usually beg for this the most cause this is one of the things I can't do without.

Medication...I'm on two heart medications because of my arrhythmia. It's important I take them. I tried taking them twice per day instead of three, and I had horrible palpitations. So this is kind of my priority. As I'm still uninsured, both medications cost about 12 dollars a month.

Okay those are all things that I feel I need. Now, what I "want".

Clothes...I haven't bought new clothes since 2007. That's when my dad got diagnosed with cancer. My shirts have holes in them, so do my jeans. I got them from Goodwill originally most likely, I like to be frugal. The only person I have is made of linen and has a hole so things fall out of it! I've lost weight and I have had my jeans fall down in public. It's bad. I only have one bra and it's way past it's prime. I would love a little money to buy some basic things. Jeans that fit, some cotton T-shirts, a purse. Maybe even something for job interviews? I think part of the reason I get denied is because I show up in jeans and a T and flip flips. But that's all I have.

Beauty stuff...Okay, this stuff is totally not worth your money, I get it. But I just thought I'd list everything. It sucks being a young woman who can't feel pretty. I'm unwashed, my clothes make me feel like a hobo. I see other girls my age in class (I attend college part time thanks to financial aid) looking and smelling beautiful. I mean...

I just want a hair cut. Recently, I hacked about 6 inches off myself with scissors. It's not pretty. I just want a little powder and some lip gloss to not feel so plain. I just want a spritz of perfume so that there's something beautiful in my senses. I daydream about when I used to wear cute clothes, go to a salon. Wear mascara and paint my names. Ahh...But this is just a dream. I don't expect anyone to help me with things like that.

A new laptop/tablet...The one I have now is really old and really slow. Don't expect anyone to get me one. If it happened, I would probably assume I'm dead and in some sort of heavenly afterlife. Then I might pass out from shock.

So this my friends, is my general beg for help. I'm a 23 year old girl without much family. My basics are covered, but that leaves a lot for someone who is broke. I'm actively searching for employment. I've applied from Dr.'s offices to bars. I'm part time in college, and I'm not sure what I want to study yet.

I don't drink, if I had the money for beer I'd buy TP instead. I don't smoke or do any illegal drugs. I'm not a criminal.

I am not someone who wants to just take money. If you are down on your luck too, please don't send me anything. Put it in savings. Give it to some of these people who are about to lose their homes if you must. They're deserving.

If you're apprehensive about giving money but still want to help, you totally can. A package filled with toilet paper, tampons, shampoo...that would be like Christmas morning to me, I swear.

I'm not sure what I'm going to get out of this. Writing this was therapeutic though. If you're on this site, you're already a nice person. I bet 90 percent of the traffic is people who want something, like me. People who go on here to help someone is probably such a rare thing.

I am 65 years old. 20 years ago I fell on a patch of ice I managed to dislocate my right shoulder chronically
and broke a few ribs. a few moths later I herniated 3discs in my lower spine and of course damaged a nerve or two
Leaving me unable to stand or walk. It took me 15 years but i finally managed to walk
very short distances with the aid of a back support and a cane. Along the way I developed type2 diabetes and of course while I was stumbling around I tripped and dislocated the other shoulder.
So back to the Chair for a while. I started coughing and could not find anything that stopped the coughing.
My doctor says I have asthma. So now we add an inhaler to the lengthening list of drugs.

Then when I finally start to get out of the chair I developed chest pains and shortness of breath.
I went into a heart hospital for the scope threw my inner thigh so they could see how bad my arteries were. Because I failed the stress test completely. Whatever they saw that morning was pretty bad. They kept me sedated and the next morning I had Quad Bypass surgery - - They could not figure out why I was not dead.
There was very little blood getting threw my heart.

I woke up 3 days later with tubes every where. There was a large incision and they used wires to hold my breastbone together.
The years I spent in a wheelchair took a toll. .....It seems the human body is not designed to remain sitting all the time.
I am 6ft -250 lbs.
So of course Two years later the wires unraveled, tore lose or broke.
They cut me open on the same scar and after a bone graft they put in 3 large titanium plates with 34 screws.

I t now costs $1500 per month for insurance (just for me plus whatever my wife has to pay for herself.)
Between the mortgage and my drugs and the thousands for copays on the two surgeries We have nothing in the bank and my wife still owes over $60,000 in student loans.

But, you know -I just have to hang around to see what the hell happens next.

My name is Richard. Recently my step-father passed away, leaving my mother alone. My step-father was disabled with scoliosis, so he received a disability check once a month which came to around $700. My mother is also disabled with some sort of bad arthritis disease. I'm sorry I cannot remember the exact name, but years ago they had to place metal plates in her knees and was wheelchair bound for a few years, but can now get around with only a cane. So she also recieved a disability check, but hers was only around $400 a month.

Well, after my step-father passed away back on July 2nd, 2011. She no longer received his disability checks, and where as her own disability check can cover almost 90% of the house payment, that leaves her with no spending money at all. No money for all of her medications and food.

Since she is disabled, she receives very few food stamps. Since she can never work, the government feels it appropriate that she only receives $45 a month in food stamps. That's not enough for an entire month, and also considering the only stores around here are the big name ones, like wal-mart and kroger.

After my step-father passed away, I was laid off from work, again, from a company called Unifacs. Now the first time I was laid off, I received unemployment. This year, they came back and hired me back in, but this time it only lasted for 2 month before they laid everyone off again, so because of the short period, I do not quality for unemployment this time. I have searched for over a month for work, anywhere. I have over 45 applications floating around my area, and about that amount in online applications as well.

I never really had a problem finding work before, until now. Times have for sure changed. They hire these 16 year olds before hiring me for some reason. Only thing I can guess is they know a 16 year old could turn that job into his career, whereas someone like me who is qualified in many fields, will only work there until better work comes along.

So basically, this is what I am needing help with. This month, August, my mother had to dig into her house payment for cat/dog food, her own food, cigarettes (i know, I've tried to get her to stop), fuel, and many other things. It's only halfway through the month and both of us are completely broke and both fear losing the house.

So any help, whether it be $1 or more, will be much, much appreciated. Even if the donator has some sort of volunteer work that they need some sort of help with, I'd be very glad to help.

We have no insurance that covers the work he needs. He needs his teeth extracted and 2 full plates. He has about 12 teeth left. We have been married for less than 1 year and he is so upset that he feels that he can not get a job because of his teeth. It affects his smile, his speech, his self-esteem. He feels so sub-conscious about this. He is unemployed and we are barely making it on my salary. We had to sell his car to pay bills, so we have one car between us. When he was a child he was calcium deprived and his parents were not into dental care. His parents had too many children and did not stress "taking care of ones health is important" I am afraid he is going to get sick. His teeth are falling out left and right and our dental insurance does not cover the cost. Please I beg, whoever reads this to donate something. My husband is now at the point where he is afraid that I will leave him if he does not look good. I tell him that I did not marry him for his outer shell, but for his heart.

Well my foot doctor and personal doctor both agreed, but the hold up was Met Life Insurance. At first they wanted to see it as a simple bunion repair, but it is not. In fact, the Podiatrist after consulting her peer specialists decided to place a cast around foot for a few weeks to avoid amputation of other toes later.So then I had to appeal for review, because all paperwork was not received by doctors on time. I went on 4/28/11 to Podiatrist for a return to work while waiting on surgery and because I lie upstairs and ave to hop down I missed the last step. My motor scooter is parked at bottom which i bumped into fell on ground and motor scooter fell giving me a spiral fracture on my right leg. I was rushed to ER..laid up 14 days trying to come up with $1000 deductible for surgery. The doctor worked with me, because the surgery could not wait. I just had the surgery last Friday. I am two months behind rent, which I pay $650 per month plus late fees. My car note and insurance is behind, which I owe $800 for car and $400 for insurance. I was ale to get emergency food stamps, but I have no funds. Now I will be out 6 weeks with my broken leg which required plates in the crushed tibia. All this is documented. I am still waiting for the review, but I will be evicted on 4/24/11. Please I really need an Angel bad. I never thought I would have to beg. I work Technical Support with one of the big wireless carriers and we aren't protected either from situations like these. Please someone find it in their hearts to help. All through my life I've help others...sure wish I could find an Angel of my own now...Thank You!!!

My car was stolen last February 14th, on Valentine's Day, and it was recovered one week later because the guy whom stole it had it parked illegally. He had gotten three tickets on my car; in my name. In the midst of contesting the tickets at the Department of Revenue, back and forth between the District Department, my car was booted. Because there weren't place open to pay the tickets on the weekend, my car was impounded.

In order to get the car back I had no choice but to pay those three tickets, boot fee, 2 days overnight for the boot, 2 days overnight storage at the impound lot.

At the impound lot, I was told that they couldn't release my car because the car's plates had expired the day before. It was a mess. Anyway, this situation BROKE me and I could really use some help on my tuition and books. I'm too close I can't drop this time to put more of my focus on work.

Times have been extremely hard on my family and we had gone for a while with no insurance on our vehicle. This resulted my wife's license being suspended as well as the registration for our car. Today I tried to transfer registration of the vehicle to my name but apparently New York has a really screwed up law that says the time that the car went uninsured needs to be accounted for so after her plates were turned in we need to wait 4 MONTHS before I can register the vehicle in my name!

We have only the one car (an ancient 91 Chevy Lumina Euro) that can't even pass inspection let alone be registered now. We need some serious help so we can get a car so I can do simple things such as go to work. I'm asking please please please help us out. We are really in trouble here.

i have a family of 10 that needs help with rent i have a court date 10/14/10.for an eviction.2 years a go i was hurt on the job and they denied workers comp and uninployment.i tore my left rotator cuff in for spots and dis located my shoulder.that pain dosent compare to the pain i am facing now with the threat of being evicted.i work 3 part time jobs and can afford the rent i just need help catching up to stop the eviction.the kids are scared be cause we literaly have no where to go.the oldest is 16 and the youngest two are 10 monts.my wife just had her hours cut in more than half and now makes next to nothing.i`ve helped people out in the past.i had a ford tarus excilent condition,i couldent afford plates or insurance on it so it sat for 9 monts only to start it and move it.i donated it to a family in need of a car because they just had a babby that needed to make dr`s apointments.i hope and pray that who ever sees this can help my family out.

My basement is filling up with water, (it put out the water heater pilot light yesterday) and the water is rising at a dramatic rate. We've had the roto rooter guys out three times and they said last time that we would probably have to replace the pipes going from the house out to the main line... that's gonna run a couple thousand at least.
On top of all this the car needs new shocks, struts, brakes, and rotors... as well as needing insurance so we can get new plates in november.
The bills are also piling up...
We are very low income... weekly income averages only $180 a week after a garnishment for a car that was repossessed ten years ago, and we just got a letter saying that the check is getting garnished again for old student loans...
I don't know how we're going to pay all this... I need to find at least $5000 to do all this at the very least... so that's why I'm turning to here.
I'm begging, literally begging, if someone out there could please help me.
