Recently my house has flooded due to a back up in the sewage line in my neighborhood. My entire carpeting, vinyl, and a foot from all my walls. This has amounted to a bill of $2250. I am a teacher at the elementary level so this bill is more than I make in a month. Also this is not the only bill I have to fund. If interested I do have pictures, they have refused to do any of the rebuild until I am able to pay them.

HI, my name is Michael. For the longest time I've been wanting to do something about my teeth. I can't remember the last time I smiled in a picture or go out for a meal without worrying about what I can or can't eat or chew. I would like to feel normal again one day. My husband got a job as a safety officer for the BP oil spill we packed up our kids our dogs and all our stuff and headed for Pensacola FL. My husband took side jobs to pay for our hotel and food but a couple weeks ago our truck broke down 1800.00 worth of repairs there was no way we could afford that so we sold it for scrape and paid for our hotel. My husband is now working day labor 55.00 a day when he gets work our hotel is 40.00 a day and after that there is nothing we can't get into a position to save any money for a car or an apartment we just need some help to get out of the rut. We need to be able to pay a months rent somewhere so we are able to take on full time jobs and be able to wait the 2 weeks for a check. If I don`t get some help with some money for food , bills and just daily living to help me get back up on my feet I`m so scared for my family and I & everything I fought for for years will be for nothing . I am down to some days choosing breakfast lunch or dinner or a roll of toilet paper or gas in my car to get my children to school and am I going to have enough to get them back home . Things have got that bad . Look , I have tried my very best all I have ever wanted was a home . I and had my first child at 16 . I am still married to the same man today. We went on to have 4 children . My last two are still at home they both were born with disability`s . We always loved them and taken care of them . My husband always worked was a great worker and provider until 12 years ago when he was in a near fatal wreck and ran off a mountain in Georgia . He tried to go back but , couldn`t After years of many , many hospital stays and therapy 7 years ago he was well enough to stay with the 2 children for me to go to work full time only 3 years ago Surprise . I had to have emergency open heart surgery with another surgery 1 month later then a lung collapse soon after that . I did go back to work but , everything went down hill after that . I kept fighting and struggling until I had to give up in Jan 2012 . I `m waiting to see if I can get approved for my long term disability that I have paid in these 7 years but they say it may be July IF they carry me . So right now I`m in dire straights . I have done all this on my own . I DON`T KNOW THAT THINGS CAN GET WORSE . But , I never know anything from day to day . I never in a million years thought I would have to ask anyone for help much less online . I`m a private person and I feel embarrassed to have to do this but , a lot of times in your life you have to humble yourself . I thought about it and I saw and read about George Zimmerman we all know who that is he gets to kill someone a kid shoot them in the back not get arrested then set up a sight and get over 200,000 and when they do arrest him claim he has zero money . You know something is wrong with this picture . The parents of the child should get that but , that's not my call. because I need to understand just like me people did open their hearts and even thought people like him needed help .I`m not the one to judge . I just need to get out of a hole . I just need some compassion . I need to be able to get ahead and really be able to go and buy shampoo , soap , soap powders , food , gas , and pay some bills and get what is necessary to be able to continue to live a regular just a simple life and my children or husband won`t have to suffer or worry until I can get my long term disability started .

Hi Im a stay at home mom of 2 beautiful kids. They are now at the ages where I feel its safe to go back to work and help support and help my husband in these hard times. Just getting back out there now is hard as I have such low self esteem due to my teeth. My teeth are all in pretty bad shape I eat on one side of my mouth as I have pain on one side at this point Im even embarassed to go to the dentist but know it needs to be done soon. Im so self conscious of my teeth I never smile in pictures and would love to be able too I would truly be grateful for any type of donation to help fix my teeth. Thank You!

I am a sruggling mom who works. I am having trouble paying my bills and feeding my kids. I am making myself sick worrying, and I feel like Im not a good mother. My kids are 16, 14, 12 and 9. I HATE hearing them tell me they are hungry. I am relieved when they get invited to a friends house to eat. I feel like Im failing!!!!! Please, I do not use drugs or even smoke cigarettes. I have no one to help me. My parents are Jehovah's Witnesses and I have been disfellowshipped so I am ALL ALONE!!!! I live as a good christian just not what they believe. I would provide pictures of my family and copies of bills, shut off notices etc. We are very close and love to joke and laugh! It has been awhile though that we have been able to have fun. We are all feeling stressed and I dont want them to feel bad for me but they do. ANY help would be truly appreciated!!!!!

When I purchased this home back in 2004 after finally getting away from an extremely abusive marriage, all I could see was that the price was right and that I would finally be safe - hundreds of miles away from my now ex-husband. As a single mother of 3 children on a limited income, I saw how I would be able to live completely mortgage and rent free. I didn't however see the major repairs that this house required - nor did I have the money to make such repairs. Over time, of course things got worse - and it brings me up to the point of where I am today.

The roof on this house is so badly deteriorated that it is leaking very badly in the downstairs bathroom, dining room, kitchen and front door areas. It has leaked so badly that now mold has started to form in the bathroom ceiling and the drywall has slowly been falling away on the one wall. The slightest wind and you will find shingles blown off and laying on the ground. The roof is so bad that I am fearful that even the boards underneath the shingles may need to be replaced.

Realize that this is my last resort in trying to come up with the funds required to get this new roof. I have tried applying to government grants for home improvement but unfortunately I do not qualify because 1. my property taxes are not paid up to date (I owe approximately $2000 just in property taxes), and 2. the size of the house is larger than the specified guideline parameters. Nor do I qualify for a loan of any sort as 1. I make a mere $200 a month working and 2. have bad past credit (being a single mom has taken some serious tolls on me - including financially!).

So the goal here is to get a new roof installed - and as soon as possible so that any further damage to the house is avoided. I also worry about the mold forming in the bathroom especially and one day the roof caving in in there. While my children have grown to teenagers now, I still have to worry about their health.

I have uploaded pictures and this story at Chip-In to show you the extent of the damage done especially in the bathroom area - and a view of the shingles as they are right now on the roof. Admittedly I realize that my house also needs some repair on the stucco, windows and such but right now my main concern is the roof. I'm surprised it hasn't caved in on me by now.

I thank everyone in advance for helping me with this. I do not normally like asking for help from anyone but at this point I am finding that I have no other alternative.

hi guys, i really need your help :(
on tuesday this week (4/3/12) we found out that my aunt has cancer and she is low on budget and cant afford to pay for her treatments and medicine. she has 2 kids that are 10 years old and another of 7 years and i woulnt like to see my little cousins see their mom ill and weak not know what happen to her. she is illegal and cannot get any help and my uncle is not working due to not being legal here in the u.s. she has lost her hope and faith because she dosent have enough money for her treatments and medicine. My uncle has tried to get donations by leaving boxes in super market also stating that she has cancer and is illegal cant get help and so far no success with that. ive tried my best to raise money for her walking door to door and all i got was a slammed door. i know its a rough economy right now but even a lil can make a difference.

I feel like such a fool to even be writing this. I moved from Baltimore, MD to live with my boyfriend and his parents out in El Paso, TX. I was told by my boyfriend that all I had to do was clean up behind myself- which sounded to be a piece of cake... but I was wrong. I got out here only to be told by his parents I will have to take care of the animals around the house if I want a roof over my head and food to eat. There are 2 pigs, 13 dogs, 26 cats and more than 40 sheep & ram (I can take pictures for proof if need be!). I have to do this work alone. I'm not much of an animal person so you can see where this is heading. I've been taking care of them and now I also have to help clean the entire house- but his mom happens to be a hoarder so it's a LOT harder than it sounds. And to put the icing on the cake- His mom called me a nigger on the first day of moving down here. I'm at my wits end and I need to get back home as soon as possible. My mom would pay my way back but I come from a poor family so that's not even possible. I don't have a car to move any of my items back with me so I'd have to go through a moving company. I need at least $750 to get back... even a dollar will help.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. After reading through several stories, I have confirmed to myself that we are not as bad off as others in this world. In fact, it has made me even more grateful for the blessings that we do have. However, we are still in need. I have been praying for guidance on how to help lift the financial burdens that the current economy has left so many in dire straits. I was shocked when I "Stumbled" upon this site. He has given me a door to open, so I must open it. My wife and I are currently raising our 3 yeard old granddaughter, whose parents are not in the picture at all. This was not in the "plan" for Gramma and me when our children were grown and gone, but due to circumstances beyond our control, the plan has changed. We enjoy having this sweet little girl around and there is no shortage of love and caring for her, just the almighty dollar. My $10/hr, 42 hour week was cut to just 27 hours. We have no medical benefits at this time. We are falling behind in our mortgage payments plus we live in one of the highest taxed villages in NYS and taxes are due. We have seen similar times before when our chidren were young, but so were we and the light at the end of the tunnel was much brighter than it is today. The Lord has helped in the past and I can see no reason why He won't help again. Any help that you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

I have health insurance but due to recent precondition problems I am risking losing my insurance getting a necessary though seemingly optional cosmetic tail implant. I was born with a partially emerging tail about 3 three inches long that I can vigorously wag and I have a condition where when ever I am nervous , anxious or anticipating something happening my tail starts to wag fast and hard with a sort of red light going on in my head because my imagination pictures my tiny three inch stub of a tail being a long elegant leopard size implement with a graceful swagger. Since I was born I could not wear ordinary pants. So I went to various plastic surgeons over the years to see what could be done to augment my unfinished limb. The good doctor i found devised a way that takes parts of my buttocks and builds a muscle tail approximately three feet long that will extend my tail enough that I will be able to put an end to that red light in my head that says it does not function. Yes I will end up with a smaller behind but it will definitely be worth it in a trade off that gives me the tail I have always wanted. The doctor estimates that the operations will cost between $478,000 and Three million dollars. Yes I know what you are thinking is this tail worth that much money? Of course. I will be able to swing from trees by my tail with the new power muscle tell that can be built for me. I will have three limbs above my waist. I will feel whole for the first time in my life and I will make medical history as the first human in some 200,000 years to have a tail that can express itself with grace and elegance. If I can't raise the money I swear I am going to join the ranks of the circus freaks and get the money wagging my disgustingly ugly existing tail in public. I know that sounds demeaning but I am still proud of my tail and blessed to have it. I am thinking of getting a couple of monkeys to develop an act to get top billing on the freak show circuit. Planet of the Apes Man and Monkeys would be a good name for the act? You just don't know what it is like having just a stub of a tail when you are so close to having the real thing and swinging it in the trees. Hurry and donate before Obama care has to pay for this.

You just live life once, and I think you should just live it up as you wanted to. But unfortunately you can't because there are to many rules in the way and don't forget about the money you will need to do this. Fortunately I am doing a good study, so I hope this will lead me to a good job in the future. I already said I would like to have a starting capital. I am working as a postman now, but that will just edify this starting capital a little bit. My parents are both working, but they haven't the ''best'' job either. My dad has his own construction business, but he is just working on his own he has no staff. All the money that he earns goes straight to a house that he must rebuild. He wanted to do buy houses and rent them immediately. This went well just a couple of times. But 10 years ago he did put his money in a wrong house what's even nice to say. And it still isn't finished yet. The walls and roof are there but on the inside is a lot to do. If there would be some money that will be donated, I will certainly give something to my father. I would like to start this buy and rent a house progress too, if everything goes well you can earn some nice extra money with it. My mother schedule dates at a rating agency, she is working 3 days a week, to sustain us and do the payments for the house. Before I will begin my letter I will first introduce myself. My name is Mike, I am 16 years old and from the Netherlands, if you are a millionaire or just someone that can afford it to give away money I encourage you to continue reading. I know it already sounds it will be like a ''begging letter''. And yes it kinda will be like that. There are people that will need money more than I am, but I am bold enough to ask for it. The U.S. census bureau estimates the world population passed 7 billion on March 12, 2012. There is no doubt possible that there are some very kind persons that awards this to other people.
