Greetings, my family was recently victimized by a terrible theft. My mother and sister had all of their jewelry taken. Much of it had sentimental value class rings, family heirlooms, etc. There were also a number of electronics taken, some with family photos. I also lost a number of things. I was saving up money but that's gone and now it seems like a nightmare. But mostly I feel awful for my mother and sister. I have never felt more helpless and am doing what I can to help my family get through it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou so much.

I would like to bring my mom to the Napa/Sonoma vineyards on a wine tour. Maybe the wine train tour? Also to Fishermans' Wharf and do all the touristy things. Also a brunch cruise. The Aquarium. California Academy of Sciences. Ripley's Wax Museum. Fine Dining, a concert (maybe Yanni). And I dont know what else.

Plus, her airfare ($500) to get here and back.

This is a dream that I want to fulfill with my mom. You never know how long you are going to have your mom around, and I want to make this vacation spectacular for her! Nothing I want to do with my mom is all that expensive. But I want it to be MEANINGFUL, heartfelt, and a trip she wont forget.

When I purchased this home back in 2004 after finally getting away from an extremely abusive marriage, all I could see was that the price was right and that I would finally be safe - hundreds of miles away from my now ex-husband. As a single mother of 3 children on a limited income, I saw how I would be able to live completely mortgage and rent free. I didn't however see the major repairs that this house required - nor did I have the money to make such repairs. Over time, of course things got worse - and it brings me up to the point of where I am today.

The roof on this house is so badly deteriorated that it is leaking very badly in the downstairs bathroom, dining room, kitchen and front door areas. It has leaked so badly that now mold has started to form in the bathroom ceiling and the drywall has slowly been falling away on the one wall. The slightest wind and you will find shingles blown off and laying on the ground. The roof is so bad that I am fearful that even the boards underneath the shingles may need to be replaced.

Realize that this is my last resort in trying to come up with the funds required to get this new roof. I have tried applying to government grants for home improvement but unfortunately I do not qualify because 1. my property taxes are not paid up to date (I owe approximately $2000 just in property taxes), and 2. the size of the house is larger than the specified guideline parameters. Nor do I qualify for a loan of any sort as 1. I make a mere $200 a month working and 2. have bad past credit (being a single mom has taken some serious tolls on me - including financially!).

So the goal here is to get a new roof installed - and as soon as possible so that any further damage to the house is avoided. I also worry about the mold forming in the bathroom especially and one day the roof caving in in there. While my children have grown to teenagers now, I still have to worry about their health.

I have uploaded pictures and this story at Chip-In to show you the extent of the damage done especially in the bathroom area - and a view of the shingles as they are right now on the roof. Admittedly I realize that my house also needs some repair on the stucco, windows and such but right now my main concern is the roof. I'm surprised it hasn't caved in on me by now.

I thank everyone in advance for helping me with this. I do not normally like asking for help from anyone but at this point I am finding that I have no other alternative.

I am.moving by the end.of.this.month for my modeling career but I need some to make it happen. I need some money for.the headshots, comp card, loans that I.took out, rent, to pay off two different banks, hospital bills, and my car insurance. I have been trying to help alot of people get their life in order because they are in need as well and I haven't been able to help myself at all. I am.the kind of person who is willing to help orders but when I.am.in need I don't get anything in return. I donate my clothes to charity and help give food to those in need. I am.willing to give out signed autograph photos of my pictures to anybody who helps me out and I am.willing to talk face to face to people as well. I really am in need and need some money before this month ends or I am screwed. I have been sick for the past few weeks with kidney failer, a cold ,flu, and recently found out that I.am diabete and I am only 19 and going through.all this. I would love as.much help as I.can.possibly get in this time.of.my needs. Please help me get out of debt,make my dreams come through.and.help me with my health. My storage bill is due in March. Please hear my plea for assistance!!!

My house burned down over the holiday season and what remains is in a small rental storage unit. I was struggling financially prior to the fire and now all that is left..mostly some salvageable family photos and some keepsakes that are about to be lost again--forever!!! I would like to save the keepsakes for the next generation in my family who are still very young---they lost their mother at a very early age.

The amount I would like to generously request is a humble amount of $250 and a one time need. My emergency funding resources did not come through this month and are delayed ??? I am working on this desperately. I have no other resources to turn to...I am retired and barely making it on my retirement income. I have worked all of my life and financially responsible.
